Chapter 2: Last Day of Rest
After what happened with onxyia learning the truth on what harriet did. They all agreed to lay down and get one last day of rest as it was night out. As pana sent out her force to try and assist johanna in getting the people of mantle into the crater right now
But in the medical ward as it had a makeshift medical area with cabinets containing suppiles. Along with that bottles of medicine. With some of the doctors in their working hard on treating the injured that came back along with the injuried students in the mix. As they had someone test them as spies
Luckily they weren;t and unfortunately a couple of the spartans were found out as unseen eye members loyal to baker. So miller had them dealt with quietly and depsoited into a deeper part of the sewers right now. Although right now inside the medical area weiss was their along with eria. Ruby, asani, pyrrha along with miyuki. As eden was their watching over their winter maiden
She was busy laying down right now as miyuki head was elevated. But she was sound asleep right now staying queit getting some rest after using her maiden powers. An iv drip was hooked up to her to provie some nutrient
Though assisting them right now was rico along with courtney who had some medical expeirnce with the group. While she was in the middle of getting winter sitatuied on a bed but she was passed out groaning in pain.
"It'll be okay dear…just lay down and rest okay"courtney softly said before placing some icepacks on her bodie to treat her wounds. As they had someone with a healing semblnace but their were too many people to treat right now in the hideout and they needed to save them for more serious injuries
Weiss sat their with a worried look as she stared at her scroll seeing a picture of her family right now hoping her mother is okay right now. As she did eria noticed her worried look
"You okay weiss?"Eria asked startling her as she sat up straight.
"Yeah because you've been staring at your scroll for a long time right now"asani pointed out as her mother was in the middle of getting onintmnet put on by rico. As she shivered as she was in a black sports bra
"Yeah because don't worrie i'm sure your mom is okay right now"nadia reassured but it didn't
"How do we know that i…i…he might head to the manor and take them. Use them as leverage and i…they might kill my mom and little brothers"Weiss said with teary eyes scared on what might happen to her family
Ruby noticing her partner worry she walked over hugging her right now close rubbing her back to calm her down
"Weiss i know your scared but don't worry kraven is their i'm sure. Remember we have his hunters…they must be protecting her along with the wilkins. They must have gotten over their to a panic room"ruby reassured as the heiress thought for a moment before courtney sighed walking over sitting by her side for a moment then gently rubbed her head.
"Listen kid i know we don't know much about each other. But right now if you keep worrying about them bad things will happen. You might slip up and well…"she paused eyeing winter seeing some doctors in the process of working on and treating her wounds
"Gotta be here for your big sister right now. Because she pretty banged up"she added with eden chuckling slightly
"She did protect me and my best friend from getting hurt though ummm….okay i'm gonna say it. This is just like menagerie all over again"eden commented confusing some as in their was jules getting a bullet wound on her leg treated looking confused
"Uhhhh what happened on menagere?"jules asked with some getting quiet with nadia avoiding their gaze hissign slightly at that for a moment sighing
"Lets just say well…we all got in a fight after that wolf broke things off briefly with my kid. But it sent whicnehster off hearing her call him a monster and now…"she paused eyeing eria who was busy sorting medical suppiles. As the tiger glared at her for a moment scoffing which got her attention

"Umm i was going to say that he was smart on not telling her that."eria said which confused them as eden blinked at her for a bit

"Yeah and wait…you seemed pretty pissed off in the command room when you heard he knew that long."ruby asked as the frozen dancer stayed silent for a moment as she sat down sorting a medkit for the necessary supplies right now as she explained why she wasn't mad

"Though…i heard from you how eager onxyia was to kill ollie when she saw him. I…think thats why he didn't tell us. He was worried that one of us might slip up and let it slip that harriet well was forced to kill her sister"eria said hesiantly as jule scoffed crossing her arms
"Bree has always felt guilt for what happened that day if your wondering"jule said with ruby rubbing her arm
"Well…i figured that much when um…she uh told us back in the mines after blake questioned her"ruby said to their surprise as the tiger sighed rubbing her face with an annoyed look
'If that dumb wolf starts becoming emotional again for someone trying to keep her safe and happy. She needs consuling on her emotions in my opinion"nadia stated with an annoyed look as eden sighed rubbing her face
"Well uh…look i can admit…i'm a little pissed he lied to us…surprise he didn't even tell me or the others"eden stated on their other partners with asani humming for a moment
"Well i think one of you would have let it slip or tell her secretly. You might be able to keep a secret but velvet might get too nervous and blap about it. The bear sighed"i guess your right…though ummm…you think things will develop like it did on menagerie"eden asked with worry as they hoped not
"I hope not we all need to work together right now on a plan. Pana said give us time before they go over their forces. I do want to get out their but…were all pretty low on aura"ruby replied
Rico nodded in agreement"your not wrong kiddio you go out their now and you'll be mince meat. Its late and if were lucky they'll hold off on searching for us. For now we need to lay down and recover from our wounds"he signed as they all agreed on that

"Right now i can see she broke a few ribs from what the docs found out. While she bruised her lip and eye cuaisng abrasions. Though she'll need to rest for a day or two till she back on her feet"she said making her feel relieved hearing that
As they sat their getting their wounds treated with eria hoping that everyone is getting along right now despite what just happened.
Although elsewhere right now in the secret hideout of the gravekeepers. Right now in a makeshift messhall some of them were gaining their strength back. Along with that eating some meals right now was onxyia along with rogue. They were sitting down right now eating some basic rations from the MRES they had
But right now with them was cardin, may, velvet, razma, mercury, hunter and henry marigold who managed to get down here in time. Along with scotty even as they were eating their gruel right now. Though velvet was doing her best to console razma right now
Because she was busy grieving for the lose of her leader. So was leah who went off somewhere else to grieve while persia was grieivng too. With flynt and some others doing their best to help them look toward the positives right now. Though they were all silent right now eating thier food
It was edible sort of but some of it tastes disgusting. As henry chewed mid bite before going wide eyed gagging as he pulled out a small packet
"What the heck is this thing?"he asked confused as mercury eyed it concerned
'Uhh thats a silicon packet it keeps the food fresh is it…um torn open?"mercury asked as the former heir studied it seeing no rips of holes on it
"No why?"he asked
"That stuff can kill you if you ingest it because of the materail inside of it or whatever so i suggest being careful with that stuff."mercury said making henry scared as he dropped it onto the table with hunter chcukling slightly
"God i hate these though at least its a meal. My mom would make us eat these while camping to prepare us for anything. Guess it came in handy"hunter said but the wolf scoffed at him
"The same mom who defending the murderer"onxyia said rudely making him eye her for a moment
"Hey thats my mom your talking about along with aunt bree"hunter warned with anger boiling but she growled hearing her be called an autn
"Your calling the women responsible for creating a dam terroist your aunt. Thats rich because its her fault everything with the white fang went wrong"onxyia growled but cardin could sense the tension rising as he put a hand infront of her
"Wolf ears…drop this right now because your acting just like you did on menagerie. Gonna have a repeat of that"cardin asked with rogue even jumping in now

"Vel….right now i'm with her on this she pissed because he lied to her. Right now i need to process this okay…we can talk about this crap when were done in mantle."may said taking her tray leaving as well. With rogue grabbing her tray glaring at her leader

As they all sat down with zane sighing holding his head for dear life as he layed it down with an upset look. With blake sitting down as her ears flopped over staring at the meal infront of her as they all felt awkward now

With blake sighing"i don't blame them we um…god i've been trying so hard to keep that from her."she said

Velvet leaned over placing her head against his shoulder as she looked down at the ground softly smiling

'Actually over those three months hariett really wanted to tell her what she did. Along with that we convinced her not to because with amity and the looming threat of salem. We agreed that we need to wait till we got to vacuo to tell her. Because…i knew she would react like that."blake said to their surprise that she knew that would happen
"Really? Guess…you gotta figure out a way to make it up to your teammates right now grimm boy"cardin said as he sighed
'Kinda obvious man don't you think. Although….i feel like we shouldn't be sitting down doing nothing. We should at least be out their right now"zane said

As they all gathered back into the command center in the underground base. They all could tell that adam and onxyia where mad at one person. That being hariett who looked down with a guilty look on her face right now. While mariana and some spartans where their holding them back as summer was with charon sighing as she rubbed her eyes
"Alright so are you all calmed down and ready to talk"summer asked
"Don't know we gonna hear how the grunt killed more people making terrosit"lazuli coldly said making hariet look down upset hearing that but nadia smacked her niece upside her head as she yelped

"You either keep your mouth shut or i'll smack you even harder. Right now we need to let these petty little squabble go. We got a job to do"nadia warned as the thief was about to argue but kept her mouth shut for now on this
With charon clearing his throat as he got the floor now to speak

Summer here has told us what she knows along with "charon said with carmine stepping forward typing on a holo computer. Then it project something a mask women in a komino wearing a oni mask on her face waving a pair of fans around in the picture

"This would be lamie she used to be a stage performer from what i recall. Though secretly she used to be a assassin for the unseen eye. She was so loyal that she moved up the ranks so quickly in a year eliminating well…people with silver eyes"carmine said as ruby flinched hearing that as summer placed a hand on her daughter to calm her down which it did slightly
"Alright what else you got for us doc?"may marigold asked as the doctor cleared her throat
"She is infused with geist DNA. she has most abilities of a geist which means she can turn intangible to phaze through walls. But she has razor sharp claws hidden in her dress. While she can well…puppet geist as she has an evolved variant of them. That being phantoms"carmine mentioned

"Definitly because well…isn't snow shoe shipping a subsidiary of SDC."yumi aksed with weiss nodding before typing in on the display pulling up a long network of tubes it seems
"Theirs a direct line to the base from here. We can get in and gain access to amity before anyone knows it."weiss said
"Along with seeing if my dad is alive along with the others they have."velvet said with hope but onxyia sighed rubbing her forehead

Hariett sighed"well if we need someone inside the base i'm the best bet since i–"she was stopped
"Junior you aint going their at all"mariana said which surprised her and them
"Why not? I know that command center better than anyone here"hariett argued

"That why we'll send a small squad of you to investigate the command center along with hopefully figuring out who they have on sight. Hopefully we can figure out a way to get the public back on our side. All my soldiers have kill orders on them now"artemis said as ruby stepped foward
"I'll go…me along with a few others can infiltrate the base since some of us have semblance to mask our surrounding"ruby said but her mother was against it

"Summer dear are you hiding something from us?"she asked knowingly as the women stared at them sighing to do it. Channeling deep inside slowly she opened her eyes as two white flames covered her eyes as they all went wide eyed. With artemis going completely wide eyed as pana gasped in shock right now as hairett jaw dropped

Nikos has half the fall maiden powers to retrieve the rest she will…need to kill bonnie"summer said making pyrrha tense up on hearing she needed to kill her
"I…i..are you sure someone else can't just do it?"pyrrha questioned worried
"You either need to grow a spine and do it. Because with you carrying half of the fall maiden powers we need you for vacuo vault. "Adam codlly said making nora glare at him
"Don't talk to her like that because not all of us are so easily swayed to kill people. "Nora spat back as he glared at her

"Enough! I am not in the mood to play babysitter…right now we have a horde of grimm approaching us along with mantle needing help to evacuate the residents"artemis said with charon walking forward as he walked side to side with his cane
"That is why we will help you hold them off if they break into the city limits. We have plenty of us with the family gift…though with that many we will run out of aura quickly"charon said
"Thats where my wife comes in…she can make the syringe needed for the serum. But unfortunately its located in our well…'mariana paused
"Its in our house…but i only need a couple things so i can at least make a smaller batch."carmine said but fiona had an idea form in her head as she snapped her figner
"Or we can use my semblance hook it up down here and you can make some. How long will it take?"fiona asked as she thought for a moment sighing rubbing her head
"It will take about three hours to make at least twenty of them. But they won't be as potent…althought i did have a case stashed back at my lab in RND. though they might have found it already"carmine said
"Then we got another objective for the command center."miller said annoyed right now
"Yes but…what about some of our families..i…my little brother might be threatened by those guys"razma mentioned as that was a problem. As artemis was about to shoot that down she looked at the few people who families aren't here still as she sighed hoping she won't regret that
"If we need to we can send a small group to grab anyone on the upper city and bring them down here. Then we can come up with an idea to send them possible to havan to warn them incase amity fails"artemis said
"Then we need to head to an old hideout of ours here and grab some jammers. I think one is close in mantle actually near the octopus"falk mentioned
"Good then we get to work tomorrow bright and early. I'll get some packs set up for everyone tommorrow morning. I suggest you get some rest your going to need it"artemis said as they all agreed on that right now
They all soon found themselves in a room set up with several beds right now. As all of them began to head to bed in their combat gear. While they did zane stared at onxyia for a moment attempting to say something to her. But she ignroed him going to the far corner of the room to sleep
He sighed as rouge did the same thing as he decided to get some sleep for tomorrow as he hoped to make things up to them right now
Elsewhere in the academy right now more importantly at atlas command right now. Lamia was their focusing all her focus on controlling the general right now. As they were all in a private office with the ace ops their on stand by not even moving
As with them was vick who was smoking a cigar right now with his daughter veronica humming to herself right now in joy being freed. With adder their sitting at a chair meant for the general of atlas although they were dealt with recently except for one. As at the head of the table was betty humming complete joy herself
Because salem trusted her immensely with what she accomplished that was killing qrow branwhen. She couldn't wait to see that little twerp face when she hear that she killed him. With her also was scar grumbling to himself in complete rage hearing his father was killed right now by that dam tiger
Because when he gets his hands on her and that son of hers they'll pay for taking him away. They'll all pay with their lives. Dorian was their as he was studying his scroll sighing
"Is it me or is it rather poetic that we are controlling the military right now. Because thank you dear for doing this it make things much easier"dorian said as lamia bowed to him

Vick rolled his eyes"yes my daughter seems rather obsessed with him sorry that she lost the artifact"he apologized
"Would have had an easier time controlling that thing then along with any subordinates refusing to listen"jacque rudley replied as adder scoffed at him right now

"Your wrong he was incharge of marketing…my company since my father passed belong to me now. And well he did set the deal up with you. Which means i can termiante our contract"scar said before looking at adder for a moment knowing hes always wanted to do this
"Adder i'm ordering you to gut jacque gele right now"scar said making the man start to freak out as he tried to run away. But adder without heisation tossed a throwing knife into his leg making jacuqe fall flat onto his face in complete pain from that. He looked up terrified feeling immense pain in his ankle with blood spurting out of his wound
"Gah! You…dam beast…i…i'll kill you…you'll pay for doing this to me…you'll…'he was stopped as adder grabbed a pistol firing a shot into the man leg as he howled in pain from that. The snake faunus couldn't help but smile right now as he was given the chance to finally avenge his sister right now
Adder walked over as jacque tried to escape his fate. But the snake dragged him back by his ankle as he raised his khopesh blade in the air staring at the pitiful man below him for all the torment he caused him over the years right now
"Do you know what you did to me?"adder asked as jacque had tears starting to form on his face in fear
"I..i…i'm terrible sorry spare me and i–"he was stopped before slowly adder stabbed him in the chest as he gapsed in pain. But surpsignly he didn't stab him in the heart as he had a different death in mind for him right now
Pulling his mask down he bore his fang hissing as he sunk them into his throat right now. Jacque gasped in complete pain as he could feel the venom injected into his veins. Adder made sure to get plenty into his system right now. Because too much will cause a cruel and agonizing death for him which he anticpated right now
Soon enough he removed his fangs as his fangs dripped green looking venom. As jacque immediately started to feel the effects of the posion coursing through his veins right now. As betty laughed seeing that
"Awww was that the punishment you had in mind…kissing his neck"betty cooed but he hissed at her
"My venom will make him die slowly…could we put him back into his cell. It'll be grand to see him suffer in their. Because i want to watch him die"adder asked eagerly as dorian shook his head
"No heres a better idea…just put him in a furnace and make him suffer slowly while he dies from the flames and posion. Hows that sound?"dorian asked as the snake fuanus thought for a moment nodding liking that.
