It was a very stormy afternoon, and Ginny was trying not to let Frank and Helen know that she was scared of thunderstorms since it was just them in the whole house, while Mr. and Mrs. Bigg were at a conference for work, and Henry, Tom, Lucy, Dinky and Grandpa Little were at a movie which is why Ginny was staying with Frank and Helen inside the walls of her house since she was hoping to not hear the storm as it raged outside, but being a little only made the sound ten times louder than it normally was.
Somehow Frank and Helen were able to ignore the storm, but Ginny realized that they've gone through this before and were most likely not afraid of thunderstorms unlike herself. "Are you alright?" Helen asked Ginny in concern, Frank looked up from the paper to see that the young girl was covering her ears. "I don't like thunderstorms." Ginny admitted to them, all three of them heard another crash of thunder which made Ginny cry out in fear. "It'll be over before you know it." Frank said with a gentle smile, although Ginny knew that Frank was right, she still didn't want to hear the storm as it scared her, so that's when Frank and Helen decided to take her mind off the storm by doing some fun activities with her.
So, with that in mind, Frank and Helen taught Ginny some of the games that they and other Littles used to play when they were kids, and had to stay inside of their houses during thunderstorms, and each one was more fun than the last for them, then to make it fair, Ginny taught Frank and Helen some of the games that she had learned from her friends in other countries when she and her parents had traveled during school holidays which were so much fun for the trio only for them to move onto telling stories that they made up then doing shadow puppets using the flashlight that Ginny had with her in case the power went out which she hoped that wouldn't happen while she, Frank and Helen were having tons of fun together.
However, the trio were interrupted by a huge crash of thunder which was loud enough to shake the whole house while also causing a power-outage, and then the house was pitch black. "I don't like this." Ginny said in fear, Frank quickly turned on the flashlight again. "It's alright, we're right here." Helen replied as she held Ginny close, unfortunately for Helen, holding Ginny didn't stop her from shaking in fear. "What now?" Helen whispered to her husband, Frank looked from Ginny to Helen then back again before getting an idea. "Maybe some music can help Ginny." Frank whispered to Helen, she smiled as Frank picked up his home made guitar then began playing a song that Ginny knew well from her favorite movie.
[Play Even Then from Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return]
[Frank]
(Music)
Never told you, but I meant to
Before I could begin.
Even then,
I loved you even then.
See my heart is,
Scared of places, that it's never been.
But even then,
I loved you even then.
If my voice should, start to tremble,
If I am shaking
I love you even now, like I loved you even then.
[Ginny and Frank]
Even if it's uphill now,
See my heart is, scared of places,
Even when I can't say how,
That's it's never been.
[Ginny]
Even when
[Ginny and Frank]
My heart won't stop pounding,
Even then, even then
I'll keep on even then.
[Frank]
I loved you even then.
(Music)
[Ginny and Frank]
Even if,
It's uphill now,
Even when, there no words how,
When my heart pounds this loud,
Even then.
[Helen]
If I left you,
I never meant to,
And I won't pretend.
Even then,
I loved you even then.
[Helen and Frank]
If I just knew,
How to show you,
Let me try again.
I love you even now,
Like I loved you even then.
Even then.
Even then.
At the end of the song, Frank, Helen and Ginny smiled at each other now that the young girl had finally calmed down thanks to her friends singing her favorite song with her. "Thank you." Ginny said with a shy smile on her face, the two adults could help but notice how adorable Ginny looked with that shy smile. "You're welcome." Helen replied with her own smile, Frank looked outside of Henry's window and noticed that the sky was now bright blue. "Storms over now!" Frank called out, just as he said that, the power came back on as well. "Power's back too!" Ginny called back to him, she then decided to tell Frank and Helen some stories that she had heard from her friends in Ireland about mythical creatures that look like horses. "You're friends have seen these creatures?" Helen asked as she raised an eye-brow, Ginny laughed as she shook her head, but told them that her Irish friends thought that they'd seen them.
"Let's hope that these mythical creatures aren't real." Frank commented, given the fact that he remembered when almost all of the Littles were being controlled by a statue that lead them to the lost kingdom of Littles, Frank didn't want these creatures to exist on the off chance that something happened to Ginny's friends. "Even if they do, my friends know to be careful." Ginny responded in confidence, Helen and Frank smiled in fondness before they heard the front door opening. "We're home!" Lucy called out, Ginny turned to see her brother and friends. "Welcome back." Ginny, Frank and Helen said with a smile, Henry and the others smiled back at them as they joined the others in the living room.
"I'd better get started on lunch." Helen said as she went into the kitchen, Henry looked at his sister. "Guess that's our cue." Henry told Ginny, she nodded as they both got up, only for Tom and Lucy to pull them back down onto the floor. "Can Henry and Ginny stay for lunch?" Tom asked his mom, Helen looked back into the living room to see her children holding onto their friends. "Do you want to?" Helen asked them, Henry and Ginny looked at each other before looking at their friends who were eager for them to stay. "If it's alright." Ginny replied with a head tilt, Helen and Frank nodded 'yes' to them. "Then, yes please." Henry and Ginny said with a smile, Helen went to get lunch ready only this time she had help from everyone as they talked about the movie or what happened when the power had gone out during the storms, and once lunch was ready, Grandpa Little regaled the family with stories of things he'd done when he was younger. "I doubt that." Dinky said as he smirked at his Uncle, the two got into a debate while the others laughed at their antics.
The laughter became louder as Grandpa Little chased Dinky around the house before he hid behind Ginny. "Using a child for a shield? For shame!" Grandpa Little chided, Dinky on the other hand wasn't ashamed as he'd picked up some of his raisins then tossed them into his Uncle's mouth which distracted him while he chewed the food. "Really?" Ginny asked Dinky an amused tone, the older boy smiled sheepishly before he picked up his plate then ran right out the kitchen with Grandpa Little hot on heels. "Those two never change." Lucy said with a smile, everyone laughed as the two ran back into the kitchen only to trip over their chairs then crashed into the wall. "We're alright." Dinky and Grandpa Little told them, everyone laughed as Dinky and Grandpa Little got back up, so lunch could continue. "Hope my life will be full of fun." Ginny thought as she listened to Tom and Lucy talk about their favorite parts of the movie with Henry adding his favorite parts, all in all, minus the storm, today was a good day for Henry, Ginny and the Littles just like everyday is or will be.
Final chapter done! I don't own the song in this chapter, please read and review, but no flames!
