Last chapter we saw the group splitting up. one heads to atlas command to secure amity arena, another is saving mantle with soomething following them. Chapter 4: Another Talking Grimm
Elsewhere in the kingdom more improtantly in the gravekeepers hide out rigth now. Adam was being dragged into a room by his father as he forced him to sit down as the bull faunus was enraged on what he was doing right now
"Why didn't you let me go…my girlfriend will get hurt if i'm not with her"adam said with worry
But jake crossed his arms with a disappoint look on his face for what happened last night. He knows that his son is anger hearing that soldier killed someone from what he gathered his son viewed like a brother. Though the man wasn't going to let this sort of behavior go on
"Its how you reacted last night you tried to kill that women in cold blood. For what?"he asked anger
Adam looked at him stunned that his own father was defending kumo murderer. Because after he lost his parents she was the one person that took him in showing him alot of kindness and treating him like one of her own. She even gave him her food to make sure him and ollie kept their strength up
"Because shes the reason that kumo is dead…that women took care of me after…after i thought you and mom were dead. Mom gone but…but how can you defend someone like her right now."adam argued but his father saw this being childish
"Your acting childish…because we need all the help we can get right now. Killing our allies will solve nothing. Because i'm sure that women feels guilt for what she did"jake said but adam growled at him shoving him back. Though jake didn't move as he was pure muscle then he stared at his son blocking the doorway to the room.
Adam stared at him"let me leave i'm going out their to help my girlfriend and along with protecting her"he said though jake gestured for him to make him move out of the way
Seeing this challenge adam growled trying to shove his way through the door that his father was blocking. Though as he did jake just kept shoving him back onto the ground or he just stood their letting him tire himself out right now. This went on for about five minutes until adam was on the bed panting for a moment
'So…you ready to talk about why you even tried to kill that innconet women"jake said but adam scofed at the word innocent
"She isn't innocent…she killed an annicneont girl and forced her brother to go on a warpath. Its her fault that ollie is dead…and that he became the way he was before he breaths his last." adam said codly to him right now
But soon enough from the doorway someone spoke up on that little thought he had
"Man i heard you were a brutal dicator back in the white fang. But yet here you are….broading like a moody teenager blaming someone else"mariana said stepping into the room as adam growled placing a hand on his sword hilt immediately
"Do that kid and i won't hold by. You can be on the sidelines for this entire thing right now or you can sit down and listen. Because you would be making a terrible choice right now"mariana warned as the faunus scoffed at her being worried for him
"What afraid that i can slice her down and avenge my friend and his sister"adam growled as the women soften her gaze. As she sighed rubbing her eyes staring at jake as the man stared back before she decided to test something right now.
"You think that if his sister wasn't killed….that your little psycho friend wouldn't have turned all sociopath on you. Along with trying to kill you"mariana said as this made him flinch as he looked away from her for a moment
"I…i don't know what your talking about"adam said but his father saw he was lying. The man walked over guiding him to sit on the bed. He unclipped his katana wilt from him as adam tried to snatch it back. But jake set it on a nearby bed in the room as he wrapped an arm around his son with a worried look
"Son…look i wasn't their for most of your life since you escaped atlas. But right now…hearing you choose to become a terrorist and murderer to honor me and your mother names. It still disappoints me right now"jake said heosntly making adam look down upset as he scoffed
"Its just one of the many terrible sins i committed…whats one more"adam coldly said but jake narrowed her his gaze. As instead of smacking him upside the head the man pulled his only son into a loving embrace right now. As he sighed holding him close
"Son…i asked that cat faunus you used to date about him. Along with that walker. They told me when you were their that the chieftain himself took my son in riaisng him like his own. Which wouldn't make me want to head to menagerie and shake that man hand or hug him for what he did for you"jake said as adam stayed sieltn listening to his father for a bit
"Along with that…the belladonna girl told me how much you and that weaver boy meant to each other. She explained how you two were like brothers but…everysince the fall of beacon you two broke apart. As he went mad with his hatred toward humans. Something your going back to right now which worries me"jake cotninued
"I don't hate all humans…only the ones that are criminals toward faunus"adam argued but mariana laughed at that
"Oh man your funny kid….your lying to us. I can tell i've been married to a psychologist for years i picked up a thing or two on peoples emotions. And you…you really don't think bree feels guilt for what she did"mariana asked as he growled shoving his father as she he stared her down
"All of you atlesian are the same….all my life faunus have been treated terrible in those mines. Yet now you decided to do something about you. Where were you when they took me as a child?"adam asked standing up approaching her as she stared at him
"Where was the military when my parents tried to escape and i thought i lose both of them. No i lost my mom….along with that where were they when the guards abused us. Shcoked us for no reason along with giving us spoiled or rotten food"he contiuing as he shoved her making her move back slightly as tears were running down his face right now
"Where were they when my best friend lost his sister! He watched her hang by the neck because of her….she..she made my best friend…she…she…"he couldnt' form words right now as the women did one thing
Mariana wrapped her arms around him in a motherly embrace as the faunus didn't have one anymore as she gently squeezed to calm him down feeling tears hitting her shoulder
"It'll be okay kid….clam down take some deep breaths alright. Deep breaths"mariana said as adam cracked burying his face into her shoulder crying quietly right now after what he heard last night. She moved back and forth with him to calm him down until eventually settled
"Better kiddio?"jake asked as he nodded sniffing
"Look…you don't know bree like i do. I watched her and some of the spartan here become the people they are today. God i view her like a daughter i never had"mariana said
"Where is this going?"he asked wanting to get to the point as she sighed
"The day she got assigned to the mines wasn't really originally hers. Funny enough faunus even get sent their which is just screwed up. Because the person who would have gone their would have been bonnet"she said making him go wide eyed hearing that as he listend to her finally.
"That girl….god i…she didn't know what she was getting into. When i heard that she got promoted along with being select as a possible candidate for ace ops since she got placed in spartans i was happy for her. She got resigned to work with the spartans and i went to congratulate her."mariana paused before looking down upset
"I found her crying her eyes out saying she didn't want to do it…she didn't want to hang a poor girl infront of her brother. I saw elm and bonnet consoling her heck even jules was consoling her at first. When i aksed what happened it hurt hearing it"she cotninued as he was curious
"What do you mean by that?"adam questioned
"That her commanding officer forced her to hang that spider faunus. She didn't want to do it but the guy was a completly paranoid. Well…it stuck with that girl every day that she has to follow orders no matter what. Though i knocked some sense into her a few times to snap her back to reality."she cotninued as she explained what she always does every month for the past few years
'Do you know what she does every month?"mariana asked as he shook his head as jake smiled
"That women always visits the dust mine every month. She always went to the same grave in those mines to…well talk to that girl you knew"jake said as adam didn't buy that
"Your lying"adam replied
"Oh i;m not lying i saw her do it everytime. Sometimes i catch her bringing flowers to place on her grave. Though she kept praying that she never ran into her brother to tell a broken child that she killed his sister. Along with hoping he wasn't dead"jake said as adam stared at his father who had a soft smile
"I want to be their for you for the rest of your life. Because taking it out on someone who never wanted any of that will fix nothing. What would your ma say"jake said
As the bull faunus stayed silent hearing their words for a moment. While he did he thought about how strange hairett acted for the past three months. Everytime he wanted to leave she would volunteer sometimes to take him. Along with making sure none of the other soldiers gave him crap for being a faunus along with his current reputation
As he sat their silent for a moment he sighed"did she really feel guilty?"he asked as mariana nodded
"She did…now do you still wanna kill her?"marian asked as he was about to say yes but sighed shaking his head
"No…although your gonna find it harder to convince the wolf to listen to reason right now"adam stated
"Oh i can tell besides i need help making sure everyone is prepared for anything. Mind helping me make sure our guns are in working order"mariana asked as he nodded joining her as she was relived to hear he was listening to reason right now
Elsewhere in the hideout right now in a makeshfit daycare it seems. Leah along with some others where busy keeping an eye on the younger kid they brought down here. As she wasn't an expert on it though it didn't stop her from trying right now.
As assisting her was neo, hunter, scotty along with flynt. But he was busy consoling neon who was crying still after what happened to kobalt and ivori. As she didn't even blame her as the artist was busy making a few of the kids do finger painting to keep themselves occupied
Right now aerial was busy painting something with her hands as joining her was also june. As the coyote faunus was humming painting something with her hands trying to keep herself occupied. As they stood on the side line exhausted having this be their important mission
"I can;t believe we got stuck with babysitter duty"hunter groaned heavily holding dywn who was sound sleep in his arms. As neirda was their laughing slightly with a sigh
"Oh come on now your mothers told me you were very careful with the kids back at the shetler. Besides seems my baby girl taken a liking to you"neirda cooed as dywn nuzzled a little moving closer in his arms making him blush embarrassed
Scotty snickered"man this is just funny…though i wound't mind slinging from grimm with red or Z"he added
"Funny how you know my cousin. Though your lucky your not working with piper right now"neo signed as they all knew ASL thankfully
'Oh that weird uras faunus…how is she bad. I bet she was an angel"leah said as the mute stared at her. Before shifting into piper appearance right now pointing at the large bear claws on her hand as leah flinched understanding what she meant
"Ohhh that must hurt when she gives hugs"leah said as neo dropped the illusion with it shattering into glass right now.
"Meh we cut her nails occasiaonlly and trimmed her fur. Though i'm worried about everyone right now. You think they'll be okay"neo signed with immense worry right now
As they all stayed silent with leah sighing sharing it as she was worried for razma. Along with that she was worried for persia since she joined their team vesa showed nothing but support to that mouse faunus. Although she couldn't help but also feel worried for neon and flynt they lost two teammates in a day.
Suddenly something booped her shoulder glancing to her right she saw someone. That being dusk who meowed before suddenly he leaped up crawling onto her shoulder
"Hey what the…get off me furball"leah said but dusk refused as he got confused before curling around her neck getting comfy which confused her
"When did this ball of snot start to like me?"leah questioned confused
"I don't maybe he could sense how stress you are. A pet can tell when someone is in destress in this case a grimm cat"neirda said laughing at that. As the artist stared at the cat for a moment before gently strokign its head as he purred enjoying the pets right now as she felt relaxed actually
"Lookie here the former grimm hater is relaxed. Though…wouldn't wanna be that one"scotty said as dawn was a white husky. As some of the kids where using her as a canvas paitning her fur as she enjoyed the pets along with the attention. Dusk meowed at her then she barked back.
"Are they talking to each other or something?"meri asked walking over leaning against a colum
"I don't know though…i'm worried for neon and flynt. They cared alot about their teammates and neon may not look like it. But she very emotional depsite her bubbly personality"leah said
"What about you….aren't you upset about what happened to your leader?"neo signed as the girl thought for a moment. She and vesa did get in fight for the last few months on her behaivor. She always looked out for her and always asked her about her art project. Along with that she even requested her to paint a picture of gobi for her. As she glanced slightly down the way to see persia sitting against a wall
The mouse faunus was quietly crying to herself right now as on her shoulder right now was gobi. The lizard seemed upset on the loss of his owenr. As she stared at the three grieving separalty. An idea came to her mind right now seeing the grimm pet being made into a canvas
"You know what…i think when i get to vacuo i might paint a mural for the people we loss."leah mentioned peeking their interest
"You serious?"hunter aksed as she was
"I am least i could do for being a prick. Besides it might be fun who knows it might even become a momentum to remind those that we won't give up. For them"leah said as the mute stared at her nodding in agreement on that thinking on maybe honoring her father somehow, someway
Though eventually leah got up carrying dusk as she approached the mouse faunus. As persia was quietly sobbing to herself right now as gobi made a strange noise nuzzling against her cheek right now to tell her everything will be alright
As leah walked over she cleared her throat which got the mouse faunus attention. Persia had tears running down her face with red eyes as she heard her cry all night for vesa.
"Oh…its you…what do you want?"perisa asked with a hoasred voice as leah sighed joining her on the spot. With dusk staring at gobi for a moment licking his lip running his tongue around his mouth which the lizard noited. As lizard was a cat favorite food
Leah tapped her knees for a moment"just wanted to come check up on you right now. You doing okay?"leah asked as the girl scoffed
'Am i doing okay? Our leader is dead…some of my friends are dead in atlas. Alot of people might be dead now and…and my parents might be dead. Just like vesa"persia cried and cried burying her face into her hands
Leah was never someone to console someone during their time of grief. But slwoly she walked over reaching over pulling her into a gentle embrace right now. As she placed a hand on her back rubbing it in a circular motion
"Look i know that i treated you like crap when you first got onto our team. I was just grieving myself at the time for someone i knew. I…i know it hurts that vesa is gone. God i'm trying very hard to fight the urge to run up their find that goliath guy and tear him to shreds"leah said feeling tears on her shoulder right now
Leah then pulled her back to get a good look at her. Persia has tears running down her face right now as she whipped them away with her sleeve sighing
"The best thing we can do right now is live for her. Honor her right now for giving us time to live…because when were done here i plan to mourn. And…i plan to paint a mural in her honor along with everyone else we lost"leah said
This made the mouse faunus slowly crack a smile hearing that which the artist noticed
'Ah i see a smile i'm sure gobi likes that…wait a minute where gobi?"leah said not seeing him on her shoulder. Before the two looked at dusk with a gecko tail thrashing around in his mouth before he slurp the rest of gobi into his mouth
The two of them went wide eyed as persia screamed at the top of her lungs grabbing dusk shaking him around
"Spit him out…spit him out you dumb booger!"persia shotued in anger as dusk kept meowing right now before accidentally swallowing the gecko. As the two noticed it making them freak out even more drawing the others attention right now
"Why are you guys screaming?"scotty asked annoyed
"The stupid cat ate gobi and swallowed him!"leah shouted as they were surprised by that. As neo walked over bonking dusk on the head as he meowed before she wagged her finger to scold him
The mute gesutred for him to spit him out as dusk shook his head. But dawn walked over nipping his tail as he meowed in anger before turning into his grimm form. Floating around inside him was gobi as persia reached into it feeling all the slime
"Ewwww it feels like a booger…gross…gross…gross"persia siad before retrieving gobi who was shaking before crawling into persia shirt around her neck to hide from the beast. As dusk wiggled around and cooed anger he couldn't have the gecko snack
"You little nerd….you know what hey june you wanna play with the kitty?"leah asked as the faunus smiled with messy hands right now
"Kitty!"june cheered as she smiled handing her dusk who was a cat again. As he meowed over and over again to break free from the messy confinement as they laughed at that making the atmosphere just a little better right now.
In the medical area right now eden was staring at her best friend right now. As miyuki was sound asleep right now but was tossing and turning in slight pain. Overseeing her also was summer as the women kept tapping her foot staring at her scroll
Because she kept trying to contact qrow but she got nothing the entire time making her worried sick. But she was also worried about her daughter safety right now as she sighed pocketing her scroll. Before staring up at courtney as carmine was their with them having medical knowledge
"So how is she?"summer asked with carmine sighing rubbing her eyes
"Honestly shes doing terrible right now. Whatever happened by using her maiden power must have accelerated her condition. I don't even know how to explain this"carmine said
This made eden look down sniffing as she rubbed her eyes for a moment fighting the urge to cry
"So my best friend might die….like in what a day?"Eden asked as carmine and courtney shared a look as courtney sighed
"Hoenslty we don't know poor kid. All we can do now is hope their successful in getting amity because we need to bring her to the vault to open it up. That witch having two relic will mean trouble"courtney said
But summer recalled something for a moment smacking her face
"God dammit… does your boyfriend still have beacon medallion?"summer aksed as the bear thought for a moment before her eyes sank into her skull
"I have no clue….which means they might have the key with them"eden said as summer sighed getting up leaving the room for a moment. She left for a few minutes before returning with something that relieved her the key for the summer vault in beacon as she sighed in relief
"We have it still thank god. With the key for winter as well we need to hold onto them and protect them"summer said as they all agreed on that.
Soon enough slowly opening her eyes was miyuki as it was weak but she groaned trying to sit up. But stopped as she had a small coughing fit as she wheezed for a moment. Springing into action was eden who kentl down by her side
"Just lay down and rest your weak….please just rest okay"eden said with concern but miyuki swallowed hard as her throat felt parched
"Water"miyuki weakly said
Eden quickly grabbed a bottle of water unscrewing the cap. Before gently titling miyuki head back giving her some water as she began to drink it slowly. As she did soon enough she released her lips on it as she felt some relief.
'Their we are dear…get some rest right now your going to need it"carmine said as slowly miyuki returned to her slumber as summer sighed rubbing her forehead
"This is going to a problem she can't even move…how are we even going to get her to the vault"summer said trying to figure it out
Though soon enough in another bed slowly stirring awake right now was winter. As the elder schnee slowly opened her eyes before being blined by the light as she hissed sitting up slowly
"God where did i wake up now?"winter asked rubbing her face groggily surprising them seeing her awake. As in their with them was yuri who smiled rushing forward lunging ontop of her half sister bed
"Bid sis your okay"yuri cheered but squeezed a little too hard making winter wheezed before the artic fox let her go
"Sorry…just happy to see you awake"yuri said overjoyed as winter sighed rubbing her bruised side along with her broken ribs
"Well i'm glad your safe but…have you heard anything from my mother or aurora right now?"winter asked she shook her head
"No i think communications are down except for us. Since peitro reestablished it they must be blocking our scroll and working with a private channel"yuri replied
"Makes sense but how are you feeling right now?"carmine asked with winter giving her signature icy glare
"I feel like i went one on one with a wyvern with my bare hands. Though i did fight off several soldiers…though…wheres weiss?"she asked worried as yuri sighed
"Sis went back to atlas command and–"she was stopped as winter tired to get up immeidlaty in worry
"Are you mad! Atlas command is very secure if she gets caught they'll…they'll kill her…i..i need to find her i need to find my baby sister"winter siad panicking right now but winced crying out in pain loudly holding her side. She was in no condition to fight
"Winter settle down she has backup i don't like it more than you my daugther went their. But lucky for her she has some people that know their way around. Penny is with her"summer siad to reassure her but it didn't
"But my little sister could be introuble i…i need to make sure shes okay. I..i..need to make sure my younger sister and brothers don't get hurt again. I…i can't let them get hurt…while i just sit around and do nothing"winter said with tears starting to slip away from her eyes
Although eden walked over smacking her across the face to snap her back into reality
"Snap out of it schnee. I get that your worried for your sister heck i was worried for mine since i got thrown in those mines. But…."she paused staring at witner who had a red mark on her face as she sighed hoping for something to come and calm her down. Before suddenly a bark could be heard which was dawn
As she was clean now as she could just molt the pain off. As the grimm pet could sense trouble as eden smiled picking her up as she turned into a small pomeranian. Then setting her on the bed dawn waddled over before circling around in winter lap before laying down staring at her panting with her tongue out
"Winter i suggest you pet her…it'll do you some good."carmine suggested winter did stroking the soft fur of the pet. While she did slowly she started to become relax as she inhaled and exhaled a few times getting her pulse under control
"Their we are now your calm. Besides i've seen your sister in action her and my daughter work well as a team. Shes a strong young women…i even heard from raven she fought off several bandits. Along with her teasing"summer joked making winter laugh sighing as she needed that
'Thank you….any word from qrow still?"winter asked as she shook her head
'I think he might have been taken…they must be torturing him right now. Maybe…maybe my daughter will run into him their. And bring him back probably without his peg leg"summer said getting comfy as they talked waiting for the others to calm their nerves. But she was wrong on him still being alive, so very wrong

That was evcauting the residents of mantle from their homes as they were in the process of making sure everyone got out of their homes. With each of them going door to door to gathering who they can. As on a hoverbike right now was cardin who was enjoying riding one of these things

Glancing down the street they saw a couple sabyrs chasing down two shelter workers as one of them had an injuried police officer on their back. As the mantle police where helping them out right now. They were about to attack but may took charge
Pulling up her beanie she took aim as it measured the distance. She quickly fired off two beams as they pierce thegrimm skulls killing them in an instnat. As they joined their large caravan of people as the officer groaned in pain. With a couple other shelter workers taking him to get medical aid

This made rogue laugh slightly"That was a nice one…though is it me or are their alot of grimm pushing in already"she pointed out
"My guess their from last night still. A few of them are still roaming the streets heck even a few husk are still out their. Dam things love to make nest all over the place"martinez answered as that seemed possible
Though as they sat their for a moment an idea came to eria head as she snapped her fingers
'Hey jaune use your semblance to amplify ren. Then we can have one giant convoy that is hidden by grimm"eria said
"That could work but it will take us a while to get through mantle"ren replied

Maris laughed"hes right…..man auntie you really need to unlock your other forms"she taunted as she rolled her eyes hoping down joining them
"Well the soon we get mover is the better. Because ryker says he spotted a few teryx roaming the streets. He dealt with two but one escape him"choke mentioned before close by an old women spoke up

"Really because i'm sure if i go to the slums i may get sick or grow traits. Seems whatever is done their made you have two traits you genetic freak"the old women said making the wolf back up on that as her tail sagged slightly
"Were trying to help you….seriously i don't even know why i'm deciding to talk to you. Would you like to just die out here"onxyia rudely asked before the old women daughter it seems came over. But to some surprise it was a faunus who sighed

"God….your a freak. No wonder my mom not listening. Kindly step away from me you freak of nature"the faunus said rudely making the wolf visible back up at that. As they joined the crowd of people as the wolf looked down fighting the urge to punch that racist in the face. As maris scoffed
"Welll seems everyone hates your guts even faunus. Maybe its for how you acting…ya big baby"maris taunted skipping forward as the wolf growled at her ready to jump her. But eria pulled her back glaring at her
"You need to control yourself right now"eria warned making the faunus scoff at her
"Shes been a prick the entire time we've gatered eveyrone. Whats her problem"onxyia asked as her tail swayed with choka rolling her eyes as she molted her armor off
"Heres the answer you all ditched your own leader leaving him on his own. Along with that….our one shot at killing salem. Because i don't know…if hes dead its all on you three hands'choke answered rudely making rogue glare at her but cardin held her back
"Get on your bike blondie lets keep moving"cardin said as they all agreed on that. As they amplified ren as he began to gray out everyone in their group as they travled with him struggling slightly as jaune noticed it

While they did the same grimm was following them along the way stalking its prey smelling familiar scents around a few of them snarling at the sight of them.
They walked for a while until they reached the crater as they were loading the civivllians onto an elevator that took them down to the crater. While they did johanna was organizing their supplies with cera walking over as she was assisting in this
"Good job you kids. Where this group coming from right now"cera asked
"Sector seven. We cleared them all out by using ren and his semblance"cardin answered as this brought a smile to her face
"Thats great thought you'd all struggle out their. Though seems that your all resourceful. Despite well most of you missing teammates along with a leader"cera said as eria looked down at that with rogue walking away with onxyia scoffing
"We did fine for a month and a half without him. When we thought he was dead"onxyia said irritated as her tail thrashed with the rabbit rolling her eyes as she heard what she said to her sister last night
"Uh huh…oh by the way you made my sister cry last night for saying our dads dead"cera reminded as the wolf rolled her eyes
"Well shes being stupid again so what"onxyia rudely replied making the elder sister of that rabbit glare at her. Before suddenly she felt the blade of a knife on her throat as cera glared at her
"Fix up your dam act now i'm skinning you…got it"cera warned as the wolf gently nodded with a scared look. Once she was released soon enough fin who was joining them radio came to life as someone called through
"Does anyone copy we spotted a teryx chasing down some civie in the east. Along with that vice vest are trying to burn down one of the hospital. The cops need help"a female voice called out as he sighed loudly
"We need back up in the east and someone to head to the hopsital down town. You kids got that?"fin asked as they stared at each other
"Ill take the hospital we can clear them out."lazuli said before hoping onto her hover bike. With ren, may and eria joining them as they took the second one their. With mari flying after them as it left them as they hoped on their traveling to the east side of mantle as fast as they could with the grimm still watching them closely
They drove as fast as they could right now to reach the east side just in time. As some people where being chased by a teryx but drifting around a corner was cardin with rogue on the backseat as he smiled at her
"Light em up blondie!"cardin called out
As the blonde loaded ina grenade shell firing it at the teyrx. As it made impact with the creaute dealing some damage to it. As it was launched the grimm straight in the path of jaune blade as he held it up like a lance. He skekwered the grimm in the back killing it making it let out a death screech as it started to turn to dust
As they quickly regroup happy to have dealt with that little problem right now. Onxyia placed a hand on her earpiece
"Cera we dealt with the teryx how are the others?"onxyia asked till cera came through
"Good. their doing the best they can but we spotted some grimm moving in from the west might need some backup their"cera said
"Okay…i guess where on our way now"onxyia replied cutting the comm as she sighed rubbing her face
"Their is so much negavitiy here….but why isn't salem moving in. yet some of them are breaking rank?"bonnet asked confused right now
"I don't know maybe their just waiitng….they have control of the military. I have no clue what shes even planning"rogue asked as they thought about that for a moment
"No clue….though lets just head to the west side then help them out their"cardin replied though choke eyed the rooftops for a moment before she saw something moved that looked like a dog
"Ummm kids i don't think where alone right now…i just saw something on the roof"choka warned as they looked up at the room seeing nothing their at first
"Uhhh i saw nothing you must be seeing things girly. Did you sleep enough yesterday?"bonnet but she knew she wasn't seeing things
"I'm telling you i saw something on th–"she was stopped before something lunged at he grabbing her right now. All of them looked before flicning at what it was
That being a large grimm with a shot wide snout with teeth overlapping overs it jaw. It seemed to lack eyes but had canines ears with quills on its back. It seemed to have one of the former quills seemginly sliced off. It had a tar like body with tar dripping from its mouth and body. While it had a very large jaw as they all aimed their weapons at it

As choka was being held down by the grimm as she struggled to break free
"What the hell is that thing?!"cardin shouted pointing his mace at it
'I don't know never seen a grimm like that before. Lets just shoot it then grab her now"bonnet said firing off a few shots at the grimm. As it qucikly avoided her shot hiding behind the car before sudenly standign up on its two legs as they aimed at it again. But this time it held choka up like some sort of shield between them
"Wait! Its using her as a shield!"oscar shouted which confused them
"That…that shouldn't be possible grimm aren't that smart"onxyia said as the grimm stared at them before dropping choka onto the ground. She tried to escape but it raised it foot curb stomping her into her chest making a very loud crack right now
This made choka cry out in pain spitting up blood as they all aimed their weapons shocked seeing it act like this. Grimm shouldn't be this smart
"Get away from her!"yang said as the grimm stared at them before slowly it started to make a cracking sound from its jaw before suddenly it did something they weren;t expecting a grimm to do right now
"No"the grimm said in a chilling voice which made them all shocked right now. As the grimm stood their on its hind legs as they all thought only one grimm they know could speak
"Guys…guys did that thing just speak"rogue asked if she was going crazy right now but she wasn;t
"You aren't the only one…i thought only hybrids talked…although…uh is it me or does it look like the kid"bonnet said as they stared at it for a moment seeing the resemblance it was very uncanny right now as onxyia scoffed
"Zane if you think this is funny i…stop it…this isn't funny"onxyia said scared a little as the creature began to sniff around the air for a moment. Before staring directly at her making her flinch as it made the same cracking sound
"Omegas….scent….on..you"the creature siad staring her down making the wolf begin to back up. Then it layed its gaze on oscar making him flinch as it snarled growling at him
"Ozma…take…to…salem"the creature said as oscar flinched at the sheer sight of it. As they may have ran into trouble right now with this new grimm that can talk
We jus saw a terrible death happen with the grimm(also known as the hound but i'll call it that when i drop its name). But we see that it wants to take oscar to salem, now they'll have to fight another talking grimm. While next chapter someone learns of their father fates. Thanks for reading!
