Thirty minutes later…

It was busy in the Bullpen. The phones constantly rang, filing cabinets were continuously opening and closing, and there were several team meetings being held; one of them was a team consisting of Jack, Bobby, Tara, And Demitrius.

Bobby was at his white board and started, "Alright team…so after listening to several recordings of our interviews, and interviewing other FBI agents in the building, I am 99% sure there is an actual bomb in the city. From the information we gathered, it is as big as a shoebox, has several wires attached where most of them are decoys, and it can pack quite a punch. After my calculations, I figured that the bomb can take out three floors of an office building. He then passed large rolled-up papers to Tara and Demitrius. These are the schematics of the bomb. There are two kinds of schematics, depending on how they are built. I don't know what schematics will be needed until we find the bomb."

Tara slowly raised her hand.

"Yeah?"

Tara said, "Okay, so where's the location?"

Bobby aimed the whiteboard marker at Tara, before directing it at the white board itself. "There are two manufacturers who make these types of bombs…the parts I mean, and then the terrorists buy it from them and make the bombs themselves."

Demitrius commented, "Kind of like a piece of IKEA furniture."

Bobby nodded, "Yes, and these manufacturers keep track of who they sell their parts to. I called them up, and they gave me two potential terrorist groups that could have developed and placed the bomb, as they purchased parts last week. Out of the two I researched, the one that is most prominent; the 'lys rouge', the 'red lily'. For those who aren't Jack and Tara, they are a French terrorist group who believe that those who do not eat croissants should all die. Of course, there's other political statements they want to make, but we don't have time for that discussion right now."

Demitrius asked, "Have they hidden bombs before?"

Bobby answered, "They prefer smuggling drugs and running people over with vans, but they have made bombs before. They were nothing major; they were practically firecrackers. But a bomb going off is one too many, and judging by what they could have made, they mean business and it can get people hurt. They like to hang around offices, preferably in the basements of them. The offices aren't large though, so we can count out skyscrapers…" Bobby trailed off when Jack's phone began to ring. Jack looked at its phone, and the display showed that it was Myles.

Jack answered, "Hey Myles, what's up?"

Myles said while at the front doors of the Health and Sciences Building downtown, "Jack, can you give up on your bomb case for a while and send the team to the Burley's Health and Sciences building downtown? We suspect drugs - particularly fentanyl - in the basement of the building. We have our gear on right now, and we plan to investigate."

Jack said, "I'm guessing this is Sue's case?"

Myles turned to Sue, "Yeah, it's Sue's case. Her informant told her that there were fentanyl deals happening across the state. We needed evidence, so we are starting at one of the labs, where there is word that they are producing the drug there. We hope you guys could join us as backup."

Jack nodded, "Yes, we can stop and help you guys for a moment. Did you get the police to hand over the case to us?"

Myles answered, "Yes, we just got approval, so we are heading there now."

Jack replied, "Be careful guys. Use your protection equipment. This is fentanyl you're dealing with."

"We will."

"And if you see anyone in that lab, do not engage. Just wait outside for back up."

Myles answered, "We will keep you updated."

"See you in ten minutes," Jack ended. After hanging up, he turned to the team in front of him and said, "Okay guys, we will have to put a hold on this for ten minutes while we go help Sue and Myles with their drug investigation. It's just gathering evidence, and maybe making a few arrests."

Bobby looked annoyed. Jack picked up on this. "Bobby, we don't even know if there is actually a bomb. Let's just help our other team mates, and then we can get back on the case, alright?"

Bobby nodded, "Yes, you're right. Alright, let's get our gear and PPE on then."

Myles hung up the phone. After placing it into his back pocket, he turned to Sue and said, "All clear to proceed." Sue nodded. They were both dressed in their FBI blue jackets, bullet proof vests, wearing blue latex gloves, and carrying masks, along with other equipment that would aid them in the drug lab. As they walked to the door, Myles said, "Now, we've got approval to go into the basement, but there is a catch. I will go first through the door of the basement, and make sure the coast is clear. If it is clear, I will let you know, and we can continue on, but if there are people with guns, we will be leaving and waiting for backup to arrive, alright?"

Sue responded, "Yes, I understand."

They opened the front doors, and without hesitation, they flaunted their badges at security and were led to a set of stairs that would lead them to the basement. Then, the guards left the two agents, because the basement was highly restricted, and even security was banned from entering.

At the bottom of the staircase, there was a door with a sign that read:

RESTRICTED AREA. DO NOT ENTER.

"Alright," Myles said while placing an orange tackle box by his feet, "I will go first." He pulled his gun out of his holster. "If it's clear, I'll come back and get you, and we can continue with our investigation."

"Okay," Sue acknowledged. "What if something happens?"

"Well, Ms. Thomas, if you hear any sort of confrontation on the other side of this door, I want you to leave until Jack and the others arrive. I can't have you in the crossfire." And with that, with his gun raised to the level of his eyes, Myles slowly entered the hallway. The hallway was wet, muggy, humid and there was hardly any light. If Myles could describe it in his terms, the basement reminded him of the Sewers in Paris; smelly, grimy, and wasn't a great place to enjoy a raid.

On the other side of the door, Sue looked concerned. Myles had been gone for quite some time; maybe ten minutes. She was wondering if something had happened to him. She told herself if he didn't come back in five minutes, then she would…

Suddenly, the door opened, and Sue jumped. Myles peeked his head around the corner of the door, and commented. "Did I scare you? Worried about me?"

Sue placed a hand on her racing heart. "Don't open a door so aggressively, okay?"

He chuckled deep in his throat before saying, "It's all clear, Ms. Thomas. I found the lab, let's do our thing. It looks like these guys left in a hurry."

After sauntering the halls, Myles and Sue came to a decently sized room that contained bright green lighting. There was laboratory equipment, papers, filing cabinets, and bugs everywhere. What a mess. Before entering, both Sue and Myles put on their personal protection equipment which included their latex gloves, eye goggles, and masks. It was only precautionary; who knows what was in that room. Sue told Levi to stay outside of the lab, and he obeyed with a smile.

Taking charge again, Myles stated, "Sue, if you find drugs of any sort, tell me, and I'll contain it."

While Myles searched for evidence of drugs or drug residue, Sue was looking through boxes of papers, and filing cabinets. On Sue's end, the amount of evidence in here was overwhelming to say the least. In her hands were recipes, lists of clientele, schedules of times of meeting buyers, maps, and much more. Although Myles couldn't find any evidence of drugs, the paperwork was enough to warrant an arrest.

Suddenly, Myles' radio went off. He answered, "Yo."

It was Jack, "Hey guys, how are you doing in that lab?"

Myles looked over his shoulder to see Sue reading papers. He responded, "We're doing good. Nobody is here, so no one got shot. I've been rummaging around and haven't found any drugs, but Sue has been going through buckets of paperwork."

"Okay," said Jack, "Keep looking for drugs. If you don't find any, maybe gather some science instruments. There could be residue. We are just around the corner. I'll let you know when we are outside the building, so you can expect us."

"Aye, sir…"

"Myles!"

Myles turned to see Sue with a mountain of paperwork in hand. "What is it?"

"Everything." She gave Myles the paperwork she found, and the more he read it, the more he raised his brows. "Wow…Sue…I think you hit the motherload."

"This is information about the drugs themselves, and this is information regarding shipments and communication instructions. And there's more where that came from." She then displayed a map and opened it. "Look at this map of the city. There are areas on it circled in red. They could be areas of shipment, other labs, or suppliers."

"Great work, Thomas. Unfortunately, I can't find any physical evidence of drugs of any kind - including fentanyl - so I'm going to have to take some science instruments back with us to the lab. I have a feeling someone tipped whoever was here off."

"Yeah, they took the obvious stuff, but forgot the essentials." Sue smiled, "They aren't very smart crooks, are they?"

"You got that right. Okay, set it over there, and let's look for some physical evidence of drugs. They should have forgotten at least something. Check over there."

Without question, Sue continued to a separate table and rummaged through all of the drawers. On the other side of the room, under a pile of boxes, Myles discovered a trash can. He opened the lid and immediately gasped when he saw what was inside. The lid crashed to the floor.

Remaining calm so as to not cause panic, Myles grabbed Sue's elbow. She quickly turned around and saw Myles say, "Sue, take Levi and your evidence, and get out of here."

"Why? W-what's wrong?"

Suddenly, Bobby's voice was in Myles' ear, "Myles, we are outside of the Health and Sciences building. We're coming in."

"No," Myles replied, "That's a terrible idea."

"Wha-why?"

"Sue, just get out of here. It'll be okay."

"Guys! What's going on?"

"Bobby," Myles started.

"Yeah?"

"I think I found your bomb."

Outside, Bobby and Jack looked at each other with wide eyes. Panic set in.
