Day 14 Prompt: Spike ignoring Buffy
Takes place somewhere between Potential (7x12) and First Date (7x14).
Buffy opened her eyes to the back of a platinum blond head she knew all too well.
Her heart skipped a beat.
God, she spent the night in Spike's bed, and he was... sitting on the floor reading a book?
She blinked incredulously.
"Mornin', sunshine," he greeted, otherwise ignoring her in favour of his book.
"Huh. Hi."
She sat up, frowning at the blanket still half draped over her.
"You plan on givin' back that bed, Slayer, or should I crash in yours?" He teased after a while, finally glancing her way.
"Huh. Right. Thanks."
"My pleasure, luv."
She bolted.
Even Slayers sometimes pass out from exhaustion. But soulful Spike sure knows how to play it cool ^^
