Ky showed up to ADMA's dorm room and knocked on their door which was opened as Ky was greeted by I-no. "Oh look, it's the heir."
"Is Dizzy here? we have a study session together." Ky asked.
"Not even gonna ask me how I'm doing? Geez and I thought you rich people were all about that manners crap." I-no said joking with Ky who was not amused by her jokes
"I'm simply here to see Dizzy and nothing more, may you please tell me where she is Ms.I-no?"
"Oh! I like being called miss! Keep talking to me like that baby" I-no said with her finger touching his chin in a seductive manner with Ky clearly uncomfortable. Ky could see Dizzy come out of the bathroom as she immediately saw I-no flirting with Ky and rushed over to help Ky out. "I-no I told you to be out of here by 5 remember! I'm so sorry Ky, she's like this with everyone who comes by our room and she was just about to leave!"
"Oh you're no fun Dizzy, well I'll leave you two alone so don't fall in love or anything before I get back, and don't let him sit on my bed Dizzy. Ta ta you two." I-no left as her guitar came to her hand as she played some music to exit to.
Dizzy was embarrassed by I-no but that wasn't important "So um… Ky how have you been doing as of recently because I've been just swell."
"I've been just fine, I've done all of my duties for the day and I had time for us to study together." Ky entered the room to find the room a mess to his surprise, ADMA's beds were split into the 4 corners of their room with only Dizzy's corner being clean. Axl had a bunch of comics scattered across the floor along with his laundry, I-no's section had a bunch of trash including finished cosmetic products and wrappers that spread to Anji's part of the room and it disgusted Ky. "Dizzy, how could people live like this?"
"I'm so sorry Ky! I slept in late, Anji left before I could tell him you were coming over, I-no didn't want to take out her trash, and I don't even know where Axl went! We could go somewhere else if you want, like outside or in the library!"
"No Dizzy! Grab I'm gonna grab a broom. We are cleaning this place up, it's repulsive that your teammates allow you to live like this!" Ky left the room to go find a broom in the hallway as there is a closet full of cleaning supplies as Dizzy was surprised that Ky had such an incentive to help her out, Dizzy went after him wanting to help him out. The two came back with cleaning supplies as they got to work with Ky cleaning Axl's corner and Dizzy cleaning Anji's as they both agreed to leave I-no's for last as she had the biggest mess. Ky had sorted all of Axl's comics and threw away his trash while putting his clothes in a bag to send to the laundry later and Dizzy doing something similar with throwing away his finished cosmetics as Anji was very prideful in his looks. The two then began to clean I-no's side of the room as it definitely was the worst with having multiple semi eaten food and bags of snacks so good thing they dealt with it before team ADMA had to fight a future battle of a bug infestation.
The two finished in about 30 minutes and looked at the room with it looking almost completely different from when Ky entered it. "Wow Ky this room looks amazing now! I have been trying to convince my team to clean this room for the last 2 weeks and we did it in only half an hour! You are so incredible Ky!"
"You need to put your foot down with your team Dizzy. The first week at Beacon my room was a complete mess and my team didn't want to clean up after themselves. So I had to put my foot down and tell them that we needed to take care of our room. Haven't had to tell them to clean anything up since then, it's all about having authority while we may not be leaders of our own team we all have our own voice that we must use if we have issues with our team. A team can't function if everyone isn't on the same page."
"I'll try my best Ky but really thank you so much!" Dizzy exclaimed to Ky as she hugged him with Ky being startled by it and not knowing what to do. "Dizzy, let's not get too distracted now, we still have to study and I don't have all day."
"Oh yes of course!" The two sat on Dizzy's bed as they both began to study together and shared notes on what they had learned in their classes.
To Dizzy's surprise this was going surprisingly well as Ky didn't leave in the 1 and a half hours they spent together but Ky was actively trying to avoid the topic of history as whenever she brought it up Ky would always suggest something else. But when there wasn't anything left to discuss other than history Ky was seemingly getting uncomfortable so Dizzy spoke up. "Ky, what's the matter, why are you avoiding history?"
"I'm just not comfortable with the topics in history and I don't wish to discuss it."
"There has to be a reason for not wanting to talk about it, what are you not comfortable with?"
"The topic of the Crusades disgust me to my core and I hate them with a passion"
"I think I heard about this, most schools don't allow the topic of the Schnee Dust Company's involvement in the Crusades in classes due to most schools taking dust directly from the company itself and the SDC embargoing any schools who do mention it."
"I am ashamed of my lineage and everyone in it, everyone assumes just because I'm a Schnee that I'm terrible from the start and that I'm a snobby rich kid. I don't want to be like that, I'm becoming a huntsman so I can be different and get away from my family. I never asked to be an heir to a mega corporation that was built on top of a mountain of corpses. I was homeschooled just because of how bad things were getting with outcry for the Schnee's involvement with the Crusades, I detest my family and everything it stands for."
"Ky I apologize, I wasn't aware of such a burden you carry…" Dizzy said to Ky.
"It's alright Dizzy, I'm sorry for ranting. I just want to have my own independence from my family."
"Ky it doesn't matter where you came from, everyone both Human and Faunus are people who have the power to choose their destiny in life. I don't care about the Schnee name, I care about the man in front of me named Ky. I want to get to know you better Ky, we don't have to talk about history now but I want you to know that you are more than just a name."
"I'm more than just a name…" Ky muttered to himself as he stood up.
"Thank you Dizzy, I hope we can study like this more often, maybe go out together once in a while."
"You mean it Ky?!"
"Of course, now if you don't mind I must be going. I have duties to attend to and I must not be late so a good day to you Dizzy." Ky bowed and he left the room with Dizzy grabbing onto the nearest pillow and muffling her screams like a child as she was excited that Ky wanted to hang out with her of all people.
Baiken had just got off the phone with Sol being annoyed at not getting an answer to her question, she made the excuse that she dropped her scroll somewhere and to wait as she got it but she really just wanted to get Anji something. The day before Dizzy had told Baiken that Anji was planning to gift her something special and that it would be a great idea to gift him something back. The only problem was Baiken didn't have a lot of money because whenever she did it was spent on sake she bought less than legally. She was looking around this one fashion store and tried to look for an item that screamed Anji. She found an eastern style umbrella from somewhere in Mistral that had a butterfly on it and Anji was all about butterflies so with all of her remaining money she bought it and headed back to him.
Anji looked down in his gift that was hidden up his kimono skirt when he heard Baiken call out to him which made him walk over to her as he saw the umbrella. Baiken told him "Hey so Dizzy told me you had something for me yesterday and I didn't want to feel like a bigger asshole than I already am so I have this for you." Baiken handed over the umbrella as Anji opened it to find the butterfly on it as he smiled and touched his heart.
"Baiken thank you, you didn't need to buy me something because our friendship is more meaningful than anything money could buy. I wanted to save this for later but since Dizzy can't keep a secret I guess I'll have to give this up to you now." Anji pulled out the gif from underneath was a hat called a Kasa which was a type of hat from the land of Mistral and handed it over to Baiken as examined it. "I know it's not the most special thing in the world but I spent a while learning how to make one and I thought it would suit your style Baiken, I know that you don't carry around umbrellas even when it rains and I thought this would do nicely to cover your head."
Baiken put on the Kasa and she seemed to like it. "You did a good job Anji, thanks. Sorry I couldn't get you anything more meaningful."
"It warms my heart to hear that you love it, I'll treasure this gift Baiken. Now if we may I believe we have some meditation to do and I know just the place for it." Anji and Baiken walked to a park that was frequent for tourists but if you hike up a hidden path you will find a quiet area at the top of a hill where there stood a singular tree and a view of the bright blue sky. Baiken and Anji sat down under the tree and Anji instructed Baiken "Now clear your mind of all of your thoughts, breathe in and hold it in for a few seconds then breathe out."
Baiken did as he instructed and the two meditated there under the tree as the day passed. While Anji was well adjusted to meditation and feeling at peace with the world, Baiken was not as much of a natural as he was as little things began to annoy her like the wind blowing hair into her face, the birds chirping began to annoy her, and thoughts of the past began to haunt her as she could feel her scars aching. She just couldn't relax as her mind was clouded by emotions of annoyance, anger, and fear as she could feel her body start sweating, she opened her eye and started to breathe heavily which Anji immediately noticed. "What's troubling you this time, Baiken?"
"Everytime we do this I can't stop seeing her fucking face and what she did to me! Just thinking about that woman makes my body ache, I don't care what the master taught us about finding peace. As long as that witch still breathes I can't find that peace." Baiken vented her frustration to Anji.
"You'll never be able to find peace if you keep going down this road Baiken, hunting that woman down won't fix a single thing and you'll be left with nothing at the end of the day." Anji told her which made Baiken look at him in a state of anger.
"You're not gonna talk me out of my revenge Anji, that bitch needs to pay for what she's done to me and many others."
"I'm not trying to, chasing her down all your life will lead you with nothing, you need time to heal Baiken and to not be so weighed down by the past. Look towards the future and go where the wind takes you and learn from the past instead of making it define you. You have friends who care about you Baiken and a future in becoming a Huntress."
"All of that crap is a means to an end, I never wanted to be on a team and when we graduate we'll all probably go our separate ways. All I've done is be a burden to the world and this is the one good thing I can do for it."
Despite all the words she was saying Anji knew that they were all out of frustration and Anji hugged his friend "You aren't a burden Baiken, you are my closest companion and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Baiken could feel herself tear up and yell at Anji "You dumbass! Why do you even waste your time with me, all I've ever done is be an asshole and you consider me as your friend! I'm a burden to you the most Anji!"
"Baiken I do it because I want to help you, ever since we met I could always tell you needed help and you gave me the ambition to become a Huntsman, I don't think I can picture a world where you aren't in it. If it wasn't for you my life would be as bland as rice all on its own. So Baiken, if you are gonna go down this path, at least let me and others be able to walk it down with you."
Baiken hugged her friend back with one arm maybe, she didn't want to cry as she had too much pride in herself to cry in front of anyone including Anji but she could not prevent herself from tears coming down her one good eye.
