Summary: The new Ranger has some new zords.
A few days after the White Ranger's rude introduction, Lucy found herself in the clearing outside Dr. Oliver's house with a wooden sword. Conner called her hours prior, asking to meet her at Dr. Oliver's for weapon training. The Guardian reluctantly agreed, wearing regular workout clothes rather than her ninja suit. Conner threw her a wooden sword while he spun a staff in his hand.
Lucy flipped back, one hand on the ground before her feet landed softly, her cheat heaving with the workout and the frustration of the failed attack. Sweat dripped down her face, soaking the collar of her tank top and down her back. She didn't even want to talk about the sweat at the waistband of her shorts or in her shoes. Pushing back fallen hair, Lucy tiredly grinned up at Conner, sword at her side. "Ready to give up?" She breathed out, rounding Conner in a circle.
Conner chuckled, wiping the sweat from his temple while he held the staff under his arm. Sweat decorated his shoulders and face. "About to ask you the same question." He returned, smirking as he went to swing against Lucy.
"Nice try." The Guardian blocked his swing. She grabbed the staff's shaft, twisting it around and hitting Conner in the knee. He fell to one knee but used his downed leg to sweep Lucy's feet from her. She fell back, crashing on the ground roughly.
Conned scrambled for Lucy's fallen weapon, climbing on top of her to pin her down. "Now you wanna give up?"
Lucy pushed against the blade hovering above her collarbone, smirking at the fact that Conner didn't even want to press the weapon against her. She hooked her leg around his, reaching up and grabbing the front of his shirt, and pushed harshly while shoving his upper body to one side. She managed to roll the two over, smirking triumphantly down at Conner. "Man, you are cocky, McKnight." She climbed up, reaching down to pull Conner to his feet.
Conner rolled his eyes, standing to tower over the ninja. "How do you manage to hand me my ass every time?"
"I'm a ninja and a former Ranger, Conner." Lucy collected the discarded training sword, moving to the porch with Conner trailing her. "Fighting will become better, believe me." The two moved inside, allowing Lucy to deposit the training equipment back in the corner.
Conner had just sat down at the computer when Dr. Oliver spotted it. "There." He pointed to the screen and then pressed his morpher.
Minutes later, Ethan and Kira came stomping down. Crystal appeared behind her sister, her forehead sprinkled with sweat. "Hey, Dr. O. We came as soon as we heard." The Blue Ranger commented.
Conner pointed to the computers. "You guys gotta see this."
"Please tell me you know who the White Ranger is." Kira tried.
"If we did, do you think the sisters would be here?" Conner asked, wincing when Lucy and Crystal smacked the back of his head.
"Watch it, McKnight." Crystal threatened, pointing at him. "You might be Red Ranger, but I will kick your butt."
"Noted."
"Not quite the White Ranger, but look at this." Dr. Oliver directed their attention to what he showed the Red and Silver Rangers—a black and white dino egg with red spots nestled in a bin in a warehouse.
"It looks like it's about to pop," Ethan noted.
Dr. Oliver nodded. "It is." He agreed.
"Look at that one." Conner pointed to a different screen, seeing a white and green egg nestled in a hay bin.
"Dinozord eggs all over the place." Kira hummed.
Ethan tilted his head. "Hey, do you think this is what Easter was like millions of years ago?" He smiled down at Conner, who sighed.
The Red Ranger shook his head. "How does he come up with this stuff?"
"Conner, Kira, and Crystal, you go to the warehouse. Ethan, Lucy, and I will head for the dock. We can talk about your dino easter theory." Dr. Oliver announced, making all the Rangers nod.
"This makes no sense." Conner sighed for what seemed like the millionth time in the hour that the three were at the warehouse.
Kira and Crystal exchanged worried glances, watching the Red Ranger scan around the warehouse with one of the meters that Dr. Oliver had given them. "Are you getting anything?" Kira asked, stopping with Crystal in the middle.
Conner turned to the two. "I don't know how to read this thing." He sighed, dropping the meter. "Why didn't he give Ethan geek duty?"
Crystal rolled her eyes. Kira laughed. "What's the fun in that?" The Golden Guardian chuckled, moving over to Conner and taking the meter from him. She stood still, slowly turning around until the beeping became more rapid. Finally, she jerked her chin to one side of the warehouse. "Over there."
The three took off, only to stop before a dimly light tunnel. Kira sighed, glancing at the Rangers at her side. "Why does it always have to be creepy looking?"
The three nodded at each other before they took off through the sketchy-looking hallway. Crystal slowed. They rounded the corner, lifting the meter slowly and moving at a snail's pace to read it. "This way." She told the two, moving in front of them.
Flashes of yellow brought the three's attention further into the hallway. "At least we know it's not abandoned." Kira tried.
"How does that make it any better?" Crystal returned, moving to the next corner. She stopped, shoving the two behind a wall. "Psycho boy." She muttered.
Kira and Conner peered around Crystal, finding the White Ranger feeding energy into the dino egg. Kira breathed in quietly. "You wanna try talking to him?"
"How about we morph, kick his butt, and take his egg?" Conner glanced down at the two girls, a smirk on his lips.
Crystal returned the look and then nodded with Kira. The three jumped out. "Hey!" The solar ninja called, standing between the two Rangers with the meter still in her hand.
The White Ranger didn't turn to them, still focused on the egg. "I don't have time to play Rangers."
"Who said anything about playing, psycho?" Crystal bit back. The White Ranger formed arrows, but the Guardian called her blade to stop the arrows. "Nice try."
"Ready?" Conner asked, his morpher transforming in a second.
"Ready." The two girls answered.
Dino Thunder, Power Up!
Eclipse Ranger, Dino Power!
Dino Power!
Guardian of the Sun!
"Ready to get this poser?" Conner asked the two. The two nodded, but Crystal held back when Conner and Kira moved forward. The two were struck multiple times before they flew around and crashed into a wall.
"In what world did you think that was going to work?" Crystal fired off, earning a vulgar motion from Kira. She rolled her wrist and shouldered the blade.
Crystal charged first, lifting her repair above her head and slashing down. The White Ranger nearly avoided it, but the Golden Guardian swiftly used her left leg to kick up. The heel of her boot connected with the side of his helmet, sending him staggering back for a second, hands flying up to where her boot had landed. He turned to Crystal and snarled, charging her. He swung up, bringing his blade down on the girl.
The Gold Ranger met his sword in the middle with her own, forcing the two into a grudge match. The two rounded each other. They pushed until Crystal aimed a kick at the White Ranger's chest, shoving him back from her and her teammates.
Kira's morpher beeped. "Guys, you've got big trouble headed your way," Hayley announced.
"Fantastic." Crystal bit, scrunching her face under her helmet. "Just what we needed." He charged the ninja, slicing her up the torso and sending her back. She glanced up in time to see Conner and Kira landed right near her.
"You guys okay?" Conner asked, pushing himself up to crouch over the two downed Rangers.
"Just great." Kira winced.
Crystal didn't move when she laid back down. "Peachy."
The White Ranger stepped forward. "This isn't even a challenge. Take a hike before you get hurt."
"Not a chance." Conner returned.
"We're not leaving without that egg." Kira fought.
"We can stay here and fight." The White Ranger stated. "But I thought you wanted to save the city."
The visor on Crystal's helmet seemed to darken as she lifted it to see him. "Go." She ordered the two. "Go get Ethan and take that 50-foot dog to the pound."
"Crystal?" Kira asked, watching her friend rise to her feet and stand before the two.
"I'm gonna make sure Pointy never walks out here." The Golden Guardian glanced over her shoulder, visor black as night against her gold helmet. "Go. Now."
The two nodded, taking off to leave their teammate alone with the White Ranger. He laughed evilly. "You are going to regret that."
"There are many things I won't regret. Wiping your smug ass off the planet is one of them." Crystal snarked, charging.
"I'm getting some powerful readings, Dr. O," Ethan called from the back of the jeep, where he sat with the meter. Lucy and Dr. Oliver sat up in front of Dr. Oliver's jeep.
"Let's check it out on foot." Dr. Oliver announced, slowing the car and turning it off. The three climbed out of their seats.
The meter started to go wild when Ethan's feet hit the ground. "The egg has to be around here. This thing's going wild." He swiped the meter across the dock.
Blaring alarms took the Rangers' attention. "That never sounds good," Lucy muttered. She watched workers rush from the factories. She and Dr. Oliver helped one that stumbled in front of them. "What's going on?"
"There's a giant…thing. I don't know what it is, but it's coming this way." The worker told them.
"Thanks." Dr. Oliver nodded to the two, taking off.
"Hey! Where are you going?" The worker yelled.
"Thank you!" Lucy yelled back at him, trailing the two Rangers. She chased them past the docks, stopping when they spotted a large green foot. "That's him." She glanced up at the towering dinosaur. "Aw, he's precious."
Dr. Oliver's morpher beeped. "He's all yours, Lucy," Hayley announced.
"Thanks, Hayley!" Lucy smiled, walking towards the dino. She lifted her hand, calling for a small ball of light to appear. That got the dinozord's attention, drawing it to the Guardian. "You're okay, bud." A flash of silver light, and Lucy glanced down at her morpher. Instead of the silver dino, a green and silver dino with a black and gold jaw sat in its place.
"Hey, how come mine doesn't do that?" Ethan asked.
"You got the last one, dweeb!" Lucy called, watching the dino shake.
"Its the Parasaurzord. Sometimes you need a little something extra."
"Easy boy," Lucy smiled, watching the dinozord prep himself for fighting. She turned when she heard boots and frowned when she only spotted Conner and Kira racing to them.
"There they are!" Kira noted.
The two slowed behind the three. "We found the egg. The only problem was so did the White Ranger." Conner announced, then turned to Lucy. "Crystal told us to find you guys. She's taking on the White Ranger alone."
"What a moron." Lucy sighed. "At the warehouse, right?"
"Yeah." Conner nodded.
Dr. Oliver turned to her. "I'll come with you."
Lucy nodded, turning to the Rangers. "Okay."
Dino Thunder, Power Up!
Eclipse Ranger, Dino Power!
Crystal grunted, shoving the White Ranger back. Her entire body hurt. Considering she's been going round after round with the psycho Ranger. Her muscles screamed at the overexertion. Fatigue began to settle in; she knew it. That fog that rolls over her brain, but she couldn't stop. Not until she had the egg and the White Ranger taken care of.
"Giving up?" The White Ranger barely sounded breathless, shouldering his blade, almost mocking the downed Guardian. "Good." He answered for her, turning around to see his egg.
Crystal stabbed the ground, rising to her unsteady feet. "Rangers are meant to be beacons of hope against the darkness." She gasped. Breathing in deeply, the Guardian stood taller. She shifted around, shuffling her feet. "Come and get me."
The White Ranger snarled, repeatedly climbing to his feet and charging the Guardian. He swung for a punch, but she ducked. She aimed a right hook, catching the bottom of his helmet. She grabbed his right arm, twisting them and throwing him halfway across the hallway. He crashed against the wall. Crystal aimed for the egg, but the White Ranger beat her to it.
He sped past her, aiming precise slices at her stomach, sending the Gold Ranger crashing. Rolling to a stop, she turned her visor to the Ranger, her mind running miles a minute to try and figure out how to defeat the White Ranger. "Forget the egg, and we won't have a problem."
The White Ranger chuckled darkly. "But you've already got one." At that moment, the egg began to crack and shake violently. Then, it exploded, and a white and black head popped out.
The dinozord grew wildly, wings flapping open and closed while Crystal could only watch in horror. Then, ultimately, she felt hands wrap around her biceps and tug her out of the cracked hallway. "Hi," She breathed out and leaned heavily on her sister.
Her sister dragged her out of the warehouse. "Hi, dumbass." Lucy returned, finally safe enough away from the warehouse to turn around. She smacked Crystal's helmet. "Any reason why you were stupid enough to do that?"
"I knew I could take him." Crystal bit softly. "But he couldn't get the egg and he really ticked me off. That over-confident son of a pig."
"Good try, Crystal." Dr. Oliver stated, running over to them. "Sorry, got a little sidetracked."
"It's okay. I love getting my ass handed to me multiple times in a dingy warehouse." Crystal shrugged off, chuckling. Both Rangers gently punched her shoulders. "I could go for a nap right now."
The ground shook again, sending the three grounded Rangers scrambling for cover. They looked up, seeing a large dinozord, similar to the pterazord, but white and black and gold, screeching from its perch onto an unfinished building. Lucy squinted at it. "What the hell is that thing?"
"I don't believe it." Dr. Oliver sighed. "It's the dragozord."
The sisters turned to him. "The what?" The two asked at the same time.
"Hello, again, Rangers." The White Ranger landed on the nose of the zord. "Well, what do you think? If you're going to wear the suit, you gotta have the zord, right?" He placed his hand on his hip, watching the Megazord back up a step. "What? Don't look so shocked. Now, let's see what this zord can do. Dragozord, activate."
Lucy glanced at the shell-shocked veteran Rangers beside her. "This is going to be a heart attack waiting to happen, right?"
