"Uhhhh….Got a 7?"

"Nope"

"Go Fish" The deputy insisted to his partner, both of them holding their respecting playing cards in each other their paws. Sitting near the guard post at the Impound Lot, on a quiet late night I am supposed to be keeping a heavy watch on anyone coming in or out. However, by the looks of it, nothing was around, and it was better to be doing something worthwhile with a buddy than caught asleep.

"What time is it by the way?" He asked as he drew his extra card from the stack, the other cat looking back at a small clock with his guard booth for answer. "8 on the dot" He answered, reverting his head back to his card before all of suddenly seeing his comrade get up from his foldable seat. "Welp, 9 is my clock out time, I got a date with the wife tonight" He said, brushing off his uniform.

"Have fun man, Maybe after I get off we can go get a drink with the rest of the guys" He insisted, reaching to his side and grabbing his flashlight to guide him to where he was going.

"Sounds good, Alright have a good night" He replied, fixing back up the cards into one singular pile now that he was going to be alone at the post of the Lot. Waving his friend, a goodnight as he walked back into the Impound Lot, presumably to get in his personal car and drive off. The Deputy finished packing up the card, sliding them back into the small box that was right beside a campaign hat.

The cat looked at the campaign hat with confusion, he was already wearing his as he slid his paws across his own atop his head. Before realizing the obvious, it was his friend's that had just walked off. "Heh, Dumbass left his hat behind" He chuckled to himself before taking up his friend's hat and running back to where his friend had gone. Trying to spot where he was but he couldn't at all.

He couldn't have gotten far for sure, he was just walking a few moments ago. The deputy paced along side the bush. "Hey man, You lost your hat!" He shouted out as he walked. Hoping his friend would at least hear his voice and pop out from wherever. Thanking him for returning his hat so they both could be on their way. "Dude?" he asked in a bit of a softer tone before looking at the ground and seeing a bright white beam shining in a singular direction. It was a flashlight, his flashlight. "The heck?" He mumbled to himself as he bent down to pick up the flashlight, why would he just leave his flashlight on the ground like that.

Suddenly, the Brush to his side because to rustle and move in a way that definitely wasn't the wind. "H-Hello?" He asked out loud before a familiar looking cockapoo jumped out from the brush and grabbed the deputy by his neck, covering his mouth with her paw to make sure he couldn't scream. As he tried to do, but it was all muffled.

Skye squeezed down on his neck, his limbs flailed up and down before he started to lose consciousness. His body falling limp but his chest still calmly breathing in and out. Skye stepped back from him as she looked to her side to nod at Zuma. The Lab stepped in, dragging the unconscious cat backwards to a nearby tree where his cat friend had met the same fate. Tied to the tree with a rag stuffed in his mouth. Zuma replicating the same thing but on the other side, tying him to the bark of the tree before plunging a white rag in the feline's jaw as the cherry on top.

"Alwight, What's the plan?" Zuma asked.

"Simple, Big and important cars are stored inside the warehouses for safe storage, You'll find your 'Paw Patroller' inside there I'm sure. While you two go there, I'll look around the main building for anything useful" Lily informed, climbing down from the nearest tree. Her body running down the bark at a fast pace, so fast that gravity wasn't even a factor in how she landed with ease.

"Anything useful, Like what?" Zuma asked peering at the feline, Zuma's eyes turned even more suspicious of Lily as even Skye picked up on what he was laying down on her. "Is there something else you know about this place we don't?" Skye asked on top of Zuma's question. "Don't worry about me my friends, I will be in and out of the main building before you know it, then I'll meet up with you two inside the warehouse" She replied.

"Clear?" She asked as she faced away from the two, back at the large brush that concealed their presence. "W-Wait, That doesn't answer-"Skye tried to stop her before it was too late, she sprinted off jumping over the high brush in the unknown before yelling "Break!". Skye and Zuma were left behind in silence, walking over to the brush to look over it to see Lily already halfway to the main building. She was like a blur in the moonlight as she zigged and zagged in between parked patrol cars in the lot before finally reaching the main building. Its lights were on obviously, Obvious thought would be to stay away and not get caught by any means, but she was different and risky.

Zuma and Skye looked at each other in response, noticing she must be more than a friendly face to act like this and quite dodgy of any question that was thrown at her. "We got to tell Klaus when we get back, I bet she's undercover for the Sheriff's Department" Skye said as Zuma nodded, sharing the same opinion. However now was not the time to dwell on what Lily could be up to. They were there for a reason, and it was gotten back the Paw Patroller.

"So assuming Lily was telling the twuth, The Paw Patwollew should be in a Wawehouse" Zuma assumed, looking all over the entire property to see two warehouses. One was bigger than the other but both of them were big enough to hide the Paw Patroller. "Simple enough, I'll check one and you check the othew" Zuma added on. Before both broke off from each other, wasn't long before Skye spoke once more.

"Zuma" She called out, seeing the Chocolate Labrador's face point right back to her after hearing his name being called. "Be careful" She said with a smile before taking off again. Zuma's heart warmed up knowing he was cared for a little bit extra just by her door.

Lily slid up against the outer wall of the main impound building, her back scrapping against the exterior as she eyed around the corner, being extra careful. Her expression was dead and focused, totally unrecognizable from the happy cheery Lily that every else knew her by. She continued etching herself against the wall before seeing a window with an opening, The orange loom of the lightbulb inside blared outside the window. She peeled her head inside to it was a kitchen, only one deputy sat at a table that faced away from the window.

The cat deputy paid additionally no mind as his eyes were fixed on a television that was hooked up the wall. All whilst enjoying the sandwich that smelt the scent of tuna. Lily mentally salivated over the thought of having such a well-known cat treat of tuna right about now, however, now was not the time.

Lily leaped inside, her little feline paws landing on the tile without any sound. All the was heard in the room was the sound of football cheers and the crunching of his toasted bread into his mouth as he took a bite. Lily wasn't out for needless violence, so she paid the deputy no mind and dashed right out the kitchen doorframe. She looked both ways down a hallway before hearing talking upstairs, her feline ears perked up as she carefully made her way down the hall toward the stairwell. She eyed up the stairs as she placed one paw down to make her way up, just as she did. She saw shadows and chatter coming from atop the first step. Lily dashed underneath the stairway as she heard the creaking of the steps as the two cat figures walked down.

One of them burped whilst making his way down, groaning right after. "Man, I gotta say, Susanna's Deli and Dine is the best" He said, shaking his cat body with a bounce in his pace each step he took down. "I think you love that place a little bit too much, Good prices sure, but cmon get something else in your diet"

"You're right, I've been having their ham way too much, The Salmon…..I'll get the salmon next time, Ooo and maybe the chicken skin too" He said, clearly not what his colleague had meant.

"You're one dense cat, you know that?" He replied as they both finally reached the bottom of the stairs. Walking around the staircase before they both side by side walked down the hallway, passing right by Lily who was well hidden underneath the stairs in darkness. Her eyes slanted and squinted at the two cats, she totally could end their lives with the amount of skill and element of surprise she had on them, even at the very least knock them out.

No, It was best to leave it be and focus. She didn't want to hurt anyone, let alone kill. "If only they'd allow me" She muttered before dashing right out of the shadows from beneath the stairs and right up. At the top of the stairs, she walked down another hallway to see a separate room, it was fully lit with a single officer sleeping in a chair, his tail would flicker every now and then as he breathed slouch in his seat. By his position is looked like he fell asleep watching the security cameras with the dual screens set up in front of him. Lily entered the room with a cautious step, slowly closing the door behind her.

Slowly approaching the sleeping cat before viciously wrapping her paws around his neck. The deputy awoke sudden, squirming and fighting immediately as he gargled and tried to plead for help, trying to strike Lily in her side but his awkward position still in the chair it was almost impossible. Not long before his body gave in and he fell limb, unconscious once again. Lily let go letting the feline cop slouch right back into his chair in almost the same position as if nothing happened. Lily looked past the deputy and onto the monitors, there were cameras all over the building and the impound lot. On one of the cameras spotting Zuma and Skye clearly as they tried to sneak into one of the warehouses, Thank goodness the deputy was asleep to not see any of this.

"These dogs better not get in the way" She muttered before moving the mouse of the screen, closing out the entire program of the cameras and instead wiping it all clean, letting it loop constantly for the same frame over and over again. "Cameras are down, Time to look for what I really came for" She stated, pushing herself from the desk and walking over to a small cabinet, opening one drawer to unload a bunch of documents and folders all together. "Ughh….I guess I got time" She said, reaching in to grab one file then letting her body slouch up against the other side of the cabinet. Letting herself get somewhat comfortable for a long-read session.

One cat stood at the side of the warehouse, trying to stay vigilant. His tail high but constantly drooping downward. His body would feel relaxed every time he would close his eyes, but then shoot back to attention when his tail would touch the cold ground. It was a never-ending cycle that he knew he would have to endure for at least another hour or two. Looking up at the moon each moment as if it was going to make a drastic movement. "Ughhhh" He groaned silently up to the sky, and he sighed right after, suddenly a small can of soda dropped right next to him.

The deputy was a bit frightened at the sudden can of soda just suddenly dropping out of nowhere. He looked around to see no one, he knew he wasn't alone on the compound, and he knew some deputies that were willing to play a few pranks. "Oh haha, Whoever threw that to scare me, I'm writing you a ticket for littering just so you know, I'm fed up with the pranks!" He shouted out in the air, thinking it was one of his colleagues playing a joke.

The cat eyed the small dented can before sighing, walking over to pick up the can so he could properly dispose of it himself. Suddenly out of nowhere another can fell, leading him away from the warehouse even more. "I mean it guys; It wasn't even funny the first time!" He said, walking over to pick up the other can. Before he could however, he was jumped from behind. The feline struggled as his snout was pressed down hard into the ground by a cockapoo. His voice muffled and mumbled through the dirt as he tried to get up, but alas he couldn't. Soon falling victim and going unconscious.

When Skye had realized his body was no long fighting back, she rolled his feline body onto his side. Seeing his mouth open and still breathing. She looked along his vest to rip off a pair of keys. She stood up, waving up above the warehouse to see Zuma holding an empty soda can. Hoping down gently onto the ground to come face to face with Skye again. "Got the keys, Great work Zuma" Skye complimented.

"Good thing too, I was wunning out of cans to thwow" He replied with a smile, Skye giggled at his response before walking around the warehouse to a backdoor. Using the keys to open the door, letting the metal door cruise inward as the two canines stepped inside. It was really dark inside, no glimmer of light pierced inside whatsoever. Even with the door open, the warehouse was so huge that the moonlight didn't matter. "I got it" Zuma said, thinking he found some sort of switch, and that he did. The sound of click from the switch echoed for a small second before every light within the warehouse flickered for a second before sending bright white blares, clearly illuminating every single thing as if it were daylight. Inside was a car emporium, there were fast cars, muscle cars, expensive cars. This didn't look like an impound lot at all, it looked more like someone's personal garage. However, one vehicle stood out, the Paw Patroller. Sitting there parked in the middle of the room.

"Jackpot Dude!" Zuma said running forward toward the Paw Patroller without a second thought. "Zuma wait!" She tried to call out, her words fell on deaf ears as Zuma ran toward the side of the paw patroller. Pulling the handle to get in, the door swung open before sudden the Paw Patroller's alarm blared loud and viciously. Especially in the large warehouse where its echoes cause pain and suffer to the dog's ears.

As well as unwanted attention.

"Huh, I could use this….Oooo, Definitely taking this for my board" Lily humbled herself, periodically stuffing each document that looked really important into one single folder. Her hoarding was cut short however as she heard the blaring sound of car alarm. It was coming from inside the warehouse and that could only mean one thing. "Those dogs are as clumsy and dumb as they look" She said, thinking what to do. Knowing that every deputy in the ear range was going to swarm the warehouse before she knew it. Sudden getting the idea as she looked over to the main desk and saw a small microphone with a button on its base that read 'Recall – Emergencies Only'.

Sure enough this fit the category of an 'Emergency' in her situation. Running over to the button and slamming her paw onto the button. Afterward, there was another alarm. Instead blaring from the side of the building was designed to alert the entire compound. The sound went high pitch and low pitch, going back and forth as an automated voice said out loud. "ATTENTION ATTENTION, THE EMERGENCY RECALL SYSTEM HAS BEEN ACTIVATED, ALL DEPUTIES PLEASE REPORT TO THE MAIN BUILDING IMMEDIATELY FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION, THIS IS NOT A DRILL" Lily gathered all she wanted to take and peaked her head out the window. She looked down, thinking she was going to have to jump as in no time there were going to be numerous deputies swarming into this building.

Sudden through the alarm, Lily heard groans and mumbles as if someone was waking up from a sleep. "Uhhhh my head…H-Hey!" The deputy awoke, twisting his head to the side to see the unauthorized cat almost about to leap from the window. Spinning out from his chair to try and grab Lily from escaping, being too late as she understood it was do or die. Leaping from the window and off to safety, landing on her paws like all cats knew. Running off into the night and to the Warehouse. "All Deputies, We have an unauthorized cat that broke into the main building, shes running to the Warehouse, Intercept and Arrest!" He shouted into his radio.

"ZUMA!" Skye shouted, covering her own ears from the sheer volume of the alarm continuing to go off and echo. "IM SOWWY OKAY, I WAS A LITTLE TOO EXCITED" He shouted back through the alarm. Suddenly, both Canines looked ahead of them to see the Warehouse main door was opening. Its large door that opened up upward, the buzzing noise made as it did was almost nonexistent as the alarm voided it out. However, after the Warehouse door had opened, the vicious echo of the alarm was no longer so bad anymore. Sure, it was loud, but it was bearable. Both canines let go of their ears as they saw Lily running toward them with a folder in her mouth.

"Lily, We had a little-"

"DON'T TALK, JUST GET IN AND DRIVE!" She shouted running into the Paw Patroller as the alarm still blared before Lily herself shut it off. Zuma and Skye climbed into the Paw Patroller, It was so nice to be back inside their familiar surroundings, but now was no time for such thinking. They need to leave as soon as possible. "LET'S GO CMON!" Lily shouted encouraging one of them to get behind their wheel. Zuma volunteered seeing as Skye wasn't the best with land vehicles either way, and a hovercraft was the best knowledge Zuma had to compare it to.

"Do you know how to drive something that's not a hovercraft?" Skye asked.

"It has a wheel and pedals, how hawd can it be?" Zuma replied, as he threw himself in the driver seat. The labrador looked ahead seeing multiple patrol cars pulling at entrance of the warehouse door. Their vehicles were positioned sideways, giving the cat's clear cover as they stood behind their hoods with guns drawn. "WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED, THERE IS NO WHERE TO GO. DRIVER, STEP OUT WITH YOUR PAWS UP AND FACE AWAY FROM ME!" One cat shouted ordered, expecting Zuma to obey them. Zuma refused, instead turning the Paw Patroller on. Its engine roared and burned for movement, Lily looked out the side of the window from the Paw Patroller, eager to get a move on.

Suddenly spotting a familiar black muscle car that was parked neatly, she recognized that high powered street racer anywhere, knowing exactly who owned it. "TURN OFF THE VEHICLE NOW AND STEP OUT WITH YOUR PAWS UP, I WON'T TELL YOU AGAIN!" He shouted again.

"YAHOOO!" Zuma howled with excitement, driving the Paw Patroller at full speed through the Patrol cars. "Hey, watch it, Don't run them over, I'll get in trouble with-" Lily shouted at the Labrador, getting a suspicious glance from the cockapoo. "Klaus, I'll get in trouble with Klaus, Klaus doesn't like violence" She said, shifting her gaze away from Skye as the Paw Patroller rocked back and forth. Zuma was in the driver's seat having the time of his life, this was no hovercraft, but oh boy was it fun still. Smashing through more cars that tried to block his path and some getting out of the way, knowing nothing was going to stop such a vehicle. Then finally Zuma had his sights on the exit, barreling down the road at full speed, smashing through the chain link fence and out onto the open road.

"We did it, We actually did it!" Zuma shouted out in glee as Skye shared the same emotion, looking back at Lily who was sitting down on the built in sofa of the Paw Patroller, laying her body down as one claw gripped the folder she was carrying. "What's that you got there, huh?" Skye asked.

"Oh this…. Just boring stuff" She said with a feline smile. "Let's have a look then" Skye inclined, moving in closer to Lily as she backed off from the cockapoo. "I prefer not" She replied, the most serious she'd ever seen the cat. Skye backed off, walking over toward Zuma who was busy driving the Paw Patroller. Not needing to say anything, nodding to Zuma just to see him nod back, already sharing their distrust for the feline.
