Chris X Mimmi Centric
Nerissa doesn't like Chris and doesn't want Mimmi dating a land boy.
Mimmi slumped down onto the stone, Chris sat down beside her and put his arm around her shoulder.
Chris "It'll be okay Mimmi."
Mimmi "She won't change her mind."
Rita "I'll talk to her."
Mimmi looked up at Rita.
"Thank you."
Rita goes to talk to Nerissa and some of Nerissa's past is revealed
"What was that about? Mimmi was crying when I left, Chris was comforting her."
"I don't want her seeing a land boy. She'll get hurt."
"You've hurt her far more than Chris could. Now stop pretending for a minute and tell me what's really going on."
Nerissa said nothing.
"You loved a land boy."
Nerissa nodded.
"And something happened so you want to spare Mimmi from the same pain."
"I wasn't there for my daughter for most of her life-"
"No , you weren't. So her best friend did what you are doing now. Ondina sabotaged Mimmi's date with Chris to protect her. She doesn't need protection, she needs a mother and friends who support her relationship."
"So you approve of Mimmi and Chris?"
"I do. He cares about her, he wouldn't intentionally hurt her."
Chris finds himself at the receiving end of those who care about Mimmi. Zac. Ondina. Rita. Weilan. Evie.
Mimmi talks to Rita about Chris. Set during S2 after Mimmi and Chris have their first kiss
"Rita, can I ask you something?"
Mimmi stood on the upper level of the grotto. The other Mermaid was on the lower level sorting out the small chest of phials Mimmi herself had spent weeks trying to identify.
She turned around upon hearing Mimmi.
"What's on your mind?"
"Umm, well," Mimmi sat down on the edge of the upper level and let her legs dangle above the stairs.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, not exactly," Mimmi paused to think of the best way to phrase this. "Remember Chris?
The boy I met when you took me to the Marine Park when you had to meet Dr Ross?"
"Vaguely. Why?"
"He kissed me. But now he's leaving."
"...right."
"I helped him get into this dolphin training program but it's in this place San Diego and he's gone for three months. He left last week the day before the Full Moon."
