Ginny's Diary
Ginny happily dances her way into her and Hermione's room at grimmauld place. The Sun shines brightly through the window, reflecting its light on the floor. She walkes over towards the mirror hanging on the wall beside the window. Its frame is covered in seashells.
She looks herself up and down a few times before settling on her face and smiling. Her trousers are beautiful and so is her blouse, it's blue. Her socks are a little childish though; baby pink with white cats all over them. Her mom had bought the cheapest pair she could find in the muggle world.
She makes her way over to the table and opens one of the drawers, grabbing her diary and pen. Ginny sits down and opens the diary using her code thirteen thirteen. She flips through the book until she finds where she stopped writing last time.
Dear diary,
Today Harry and Ron played chess in the living room downstairs. I watched from the stairs, but then Hermione came down and I had to go so that she wouldn't see me looking at Harry. She looked at me suspiciously. I hope she doesn't suspect anything. Mom is calling, I need to go eat.
At dinner Harry complimented me and said my blouse was beautiful. It was so cute! I think I might have blushed because he smiled at me. I smiled back. His hair was a little messy and it was adorable.
Later when I was brushing my teeth he walked by and stuck his head in to say goodnight. Hermione was inside too and when I was about to say goodnight just as she said it before pushing him out and locking the door. Probably because she needed to pee, but I still wish I had the chance to say goodnight to Harry.
It might be childish but I really love him and I want a good relationship with him. Not always getting interrupted by someone or me being too shy to talk. Right now we have kind of a good relationship since I'm not as shy as I used to be and we actually talk sometimes. Mostly about Quidditch or Hogwarts He even compliments me every now and again.
I get why he compliments me. Most girls don't like themselves and just reply with "thanks" or "No, I'm ugly". But I'm beautiful and I know it. I love myself; my hair, my body, my face…
I remember at first when I started liking Harry I really hated myself. I was insecure of my body, my greasy hair and my acne. I also hated that I was too shy to talk to him. That year was a bad year, I hated myself and I talked to he-who-must-not-be-named through a diary. But Harry saved me when I was about to die; he was so brave. He really risked his life for me- I think he might be the one.
Well, Hermione is getting suspicious and is asking what I'm writing. I need to go to sleep. Goodnight Dear diary I will see you tomorrow!
Ginny puts her diary down on the bedside table beside her and rolls over onto her other side before going to sleep.
oOoOo
Hermioneis wondering what she was secretly writing in that book. Ginny was blushing and laughing, Maybe she was writing something about me? she wonders. Hermione rolls over and tries to sleep but is unable.
She glances at the clock on her bedside table, it is currently 1 pm. Hermione rolls over again and looks at Ginny, her hair is messy and she is snoring. Shereaches her hand out and grabs the book. It's blue and has a lock on it with a four number code.
Hermione remembers that Ginny once said her lucky number was thirteen when they were talking to Harry. But the code has four numbers. She puts in thirteen then pauses, What could the other two numbers be? Maybe thirteen again? I mean when we were talking she talked a lot about thirteen and if it was a lucky number or a number bringing bad luck.
After a while of thinking Hermione puts in thirteen again. The lock goes off and Herrmione can open the book. She stops and is unsure if she should read it or not. It's probably not nice… But I can pretend I was looking for my own book. She takes a deep breath and opens the diary and then she begins the reading.
She closes the book, It was a Diary! She is stunned. Ginny is in love with Harry. That's why she was shy at the beginning; how she blushes every time he talks or looks at her. She is looking at him all the time. I can't believe I didn't notice. She puts the diary back where Ginny had put it before.
oOoOo
Hermione and Ginny are getting dressed when Hermione looks over at Ginny."Hey, Ginny. Can I tell you something?" She begins hesitantly.
"Yes, Hermione" Ginny says, mocking her a little since they usually don't use their names when talking to each other.
"I might have read your diary–"
"What?" Her head stops and she looks frightened at Hermione.
"I'm sorry, I hope it's Okay."
"No. You can't have read my diary–" she panics. "All of it?"
"Unfortunately."
"So, you know about Harry?"
Hermione nodded guiltily.
They awkwardly sit down on Ginny's bed, not saying anything.
"You know, I think it's great that you like Harry." Hermione says. "I think he likes you back, or will eventually.."
"Will he?" Ginny asks surprised, sounding hopeful.,
"Yes, when you start dating others."
"Dating others? Are you mad?" Ginny shouts. "I love Harry, not other boys–"
"You don't have to like them. If Harry sees you dating others he will know you are available and maybe he will get a tiny bit jealous." Hermione explains before leaving her alone with her thoughts.
Ginny beamed. Harry will know I'm available and get jealous! She thinks before following Hermione downstairs.
