Relating To The Water Dragon

A new dragon appears off the coast of Ireland shortly after the curse on Nerissa is broken. The Mako group are granted permission to travel and stop the Dragon as they have the bracelet and past success. Instead something goes wrong and now they have a missing Mermaid and a Dragon still lurking around Ireland

"She went off to distract the Dragon. We haven't seen her since."

The silence was heavy and tainted with unspoken words. If the Dragon had caught Rita, most likely she would've been turned Human. And a Mermaid most likely couldn't swim with legs.

"She'll turn up. Even if the Dragon turned her Human, I'll bet she made it to the shore. She's probably still in Ireland, pissed off at us for leaving her. And if the Dragon didn't get her, then she'll be fine." Cam said. He was uneasy with the immense grimness.

" You get any answer? " Mimmi asked Nerissa who walked in phone in hand.

Nerissa shook her head. " No. "

" Does this actually work? " Ondina asked, jumping to her feet. Up until that moment, she had been reading a book she had seemingly randomly plucked from a pile in an attempt to distract herself.

"What's that?"

Ondina turned the book around and held it up to Nerissa.

"I think it.. does actually. I have heard of it."

Looking to the side Ondina explained.

" It's a spell. You use Moon Rings and water and it shows you whoever you want to see.

S3E1 Set immediately after the end of ep 1. Rita and Veridia argue about the Dragon then Rita and Weilan talk

"Is it safe to go back to Mako or will there be a Dragon waiting for us?"Ondina asked snarkily.

Weilan sat down wearily.

"The Dragon will be gone by now. It disappears after the Moon's reached its peak," Weilan said.

"Then I'm going, coming Mimmi?" Ondina stormed up the steps.

"I'll see you tomorrow Weilan. Bye Rita, Veridia." Mimmi followed Ondina out the grotto. Two splashes were heard seconds later.

"You didn't bring the Dragon, Weilan. It may be a magical water creature, but do you really think it was able to track a plane through the sky, when it only exists in the water under a full moon?" Rita said.

"I guess, but good luck convincing Ondina that."

"You didn't do anything Weilan. We should have expected it. Mako has a powerful magic around it, it's little wonder the dragon was drawn here," Veridia said.

Weilan said nothing.

"Do you want to go upstairs and get some tea?" Rita asked.

"Tea would be good."

"Are you staying?" Rita asked Veridia.

"No, I should head back to Mako,"

"I'll see you tomorrow."

Veridia goes to leave, Rita comes with her to the pool entrance. Weilan goes to head upstairs but is distracted by the conversation she hears. This was written when I was following the idea that Rita knows Aurora/was related to her and knew Aurora had cast the Dragon curse but didn't know it was Nerissa or about the bracelet

Weilan hung back.

"A water dragon?" Veridia questioned.

"It's Aurora's work. I told her it was a bad idea but as usual she didn't listen to me."

"Well how do we get rid of it? We only just have Mako back, we're not leaving again."

"You shouldn't have left in the first place."

"Excuse me?"

"Zac wasn't a threat. The Dragon is."

Weilan froze.

"If the Son of Nerissa had activated the chamber, it would have killed all of us."

"If you had listened to Sirena and Lyla and Nixie when they told you he wasn't a threat, the Pod would've been back sooner and the Chamber wouldn't have been a problem."

"You have no idea what you're talking about."

"I know more about this than you do."

Silence.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Veridia said.

Weilan heard a splash. She waited a beat before taking the next few steps down.

Rita was standing with one hand up to her mouth, staring at the disturbed water.

"You okay?" Weilan asked softly.

Rita dropped her hand and turned to look at Weilan.

"How much did you hear?" Rita asked quietly.

"Umm, all, all of it," Weilan admitted.

Rita looked away.

"I'll be okay on my own, if you need to go see her."

Rita shook her head.

"I'll give her time to cool down. You still wanting tea?"

"Tea sounds good. I think you need some too."

Rita smiled slightly.

"I think you're right."

"Of course I'm right."
