Authors Notes- Here I am back again with yet another chapter to Miko's Two-Wheeled Crush. As you can gather by now I don't own Transformers that belongs to Hasbro. I do, however, own the plot. Now that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Four. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter IV: Tagalong

Miko groaned as her alarm started to beep, signaling that the morning had arrived far sooner than she had liked. Grumbling she slammed a hand down on the blaring alarm, silencing it before reluctantly rolling out of bed, and onto the floor with a grunt. Sleep for Miko had not come easy, she had managed to finally fall asleep around 2 or 3, and now she was paying for it. Getting to her feet she cursed as she tripped over the blankets on her way to the bathroom. She was tempted to tell her Host parents that she wasn't feeling well and wanted to stay home from school. But she also knew that the principal had already talked to her parents about how well she was doing in school, and her Host mother had shown disapproval over this.

So, maybe Miko would just suck it up and go to school. At least Jack and Raf would be there. An maybe she would be able to grab a nap at the base after school. Stifling another yawn, and trying her damned not to fall asleep in the shower Miko stepped out a few minutes later and grabbed her clothes for today. And soon, with some difficulty she managed to get ready for the day before heading down stairs, and towards the kitchen. Muttering a good morning to her Host father, who merely grunted in return. His attention focused on the paper in front of him, not paying attention as Miko swiped a piece of toast before pouring herself a glass of juice. Downing both before exiting the kitchen, and out of her house, where Bulkhead was waiting as always.

Muttering a good morning to the green wrecker as he pulled away from the curb. "How are you this morning?" he asked as he drove.

"I kind of wished I had gotten more sleep." Miko grumbled, yawning once more.

"You couldn't sleep last night?" Bulkhead asked. Miko nodded. "What kept you up?" he asked.

Miko shrugged. Oh she knew why she was unable to get some sleep but she had promised herself that she was not going to even think about Arcee today. In fact, no disrespect to Arcee, but Miko was going to do her best to not even look in Arcee's direction no more than usual that is.

In fact once school was over she was going to... Miko chewed on her lip as she thought for a moment, well she wasn't going to ignore Arcee, but she wasn't going to allow every single thought to be of nothing but the femme.

Realizing that Bulkhead was still waiting for an answer. "I was just thinking of this history test I have today." She told him.

Bulkhead was silent. "History test? Did you spend all night studying?" He asked, sounding skeptical.

Miko chuckled. "Sorta." She said shrugging her shoulders once more. "I've sorta had a lot on my mind is all." She told him as they reached the school.

She was lying to him. Bulkhead thought, as he watched as Miko leaped out of him to greet Jack and Raf before casting one final glance at Bulkhead before disappearing into the school. Miko never lied to him, never kept things from him. A history test, really? When did Miko ever care about such things such as history tests. What was really going on? Why did Miko think that she had to lie to him? Whatever it was, Bulkhead thought, he was going to get to the bottom of things one way or another.

Miko hated that she had lied to Bulkhead, why did she lie? Did she really think that Bulkhead wouldn't understand? Why? Bulkhead might be able to help her. Chewing on her bottom lip she moved to her locker and grabbed the books she would need for her class, eager for this day to end.

This, Airachnid thought, a dark scowl on her faceplate, is absolutely pointless. As she, Knock Out, and Breakdown scoured around the most boring part of Earth she had ever seen. But unfortunately Soundwave had reported to Lord Megatron that he had picked up a weird energy signature here. And in the hour they had been here, digging through sand and rock and listening to Knock Out complain about how sand was seeping into his joints with the sun beating down on their armor and still they found nothing. Airachnid was half tempted to report to Lord Megatron that they were coming up empty, to say that Soundwave had been wrong, or that his scanners were on the fritz as they found nothing.

But she also knew that if she and the rest were to return empty handed they would face Lord Megatron's wrath. And that was the last thing she wanted to deal with. But what made this whole thing worst was the Autobots were nowhere in sight. A pity. She had been aching to trade blows with Arcee once more, it would have been far better than digging through dirt for nothing. Hell, she would have settled on hunting a few of Earths inhabitants, especially humans. A past time she enjoyed when she wasn't busy doing Lord Megatron's bidding. Humans and their oh so primitive fears amused her to no end.

To see the fear shining in their eyes as they looked up at her, to feel there blood on her hands, it was glorious. But as fun as hunting down mankind in her free time was, and as much as she ached to add Jack to her collection. Something she had wanted to start all over again ever since her last collection had been lost when Jack had destroyed her ship. But that aside, Airachnid thought, as she peered down at the various Vehicons working along side Knock Out and Breakdown. What she really wanted was to find away to make Arcee suffer.

She knew if she ever got her hands on Jack, and maybe break the boy before snuffing out his life. She knew that would hurt Arcee but Airachnid wanted to find another way to hurt Arcee. A cruel smile forming on her faceplate, when one of the Vehicons called out to her.

"Commander Airachnid! We found something!"

Looking down she saw one of the Vehicons waving her over. Finally, she thought, as she scaled down the rock she had standing on to where the drone was. Purple optics widening as she looked to where the Vehicon pointed.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" she murmured.

Well, it would seem that Soundwave had been right, there was something here. Something that would turn the tide of this war, something that would have the Decepticons be victorious.

"Hey, Miko are you okay?" Jack asked, as the school bell rang. Signaling that it was the end of the day.

"Ugh, why do you keep asking me that?" Miko groaned, as she stopped int front of her locker to put her books away, and grabbed the ones she would need for her homework assignment..

One she wouldn't do, but she still went through the motions of looking like she was doing it.

"Well, you fell asleep in History class." Raf spoke up, looking up at her.

"So? It's History I'm sure that aside from you and Jack half the class had fallen asleep. Especially with how that teacher just droned on and on." Miko said, as she headed for the door.

"Then you fell asleep in Math class." Jack said, arching an eyebrow at her.

"Math is boring." Miko said.

"And then you fell asleep in English class." Raf added.

"English is boring-"

"During Sierra's book report." Jack cut in.

"So?" Miko asked as they stepped out of the school.

"You started snoring." Jack told her.

"Loudly." Raf added.

Miko rolled her eyes. "Is that what this is all about?" She sighed, as the trio walked to where their Autobot guardians waited. "Me snoring during your little crushes precious book report."

Jack glared at her. "No!" He protested. "I'm just worried about you, normally you don't fall a sleep in class you just sit there daydreaming. Are you okay?"

Miko sighed. Why was everyone always asking her that? Didn't they ever have a rough time getting some sleep some nights? "Just didn't get enough sleep that's all." She told them, as she opened Bulkheads door, and climbing in. "You never have that happen? Or are you two the type to get a whole eight hours of sleep no matter what?" She asked them.

Jack was silent, he would admit there were times when he had trouble sleeping as well. Even more so when it came to helping the Autobots. "Look, I'm sorry. If you'd like my mom has some sleeping pills-"

"Thanks but I'm good." Miko said as she and Bulkhead drove off, the rest of them following suit.

"Optimus, I have located a strange energy signal." Ratchet reported, looking over his shoulder at the Autobot leader as he approached.

"Energon?" Optimus asked, optics scanning the screen.

"No clue, but I have also discovered Decepticon Energy signatures in the area." Ratchet informed him.

Of course, Optimus thought. It would seem that whenever the Autobots located something the Decepticons weren't too far behind, or a couple steps ahead of them. As he thought this he was greeted by the sound of three Autobots returning to the base with their kids in tow. Optimus as the humans climbed up the mezzanine, Miko holding a plastic bag, and stifling a yawn as she followed the other two.

"Sorry we're late." Bulkhead said, looking to Miko. "Miko needed to grab something."

Optimus said nothing as he watched as the girl in question pulled a can of something from the bag before cracking it open and took a long drink, before looking to the three Autobots before him.

"What's up?" Arcee asked.

"We have located Decepticons in the area." Optimus informed them.

"Another energon mine?" Bulkhead asked.

"It is unclear, but we cannot let whatever it is fall into Decepticon hands." Optimus told them.

So much for having a chance to relax around the base. Arcee thought as she and the others watched as the ground bridge opened. But she wasn't going to complain, things had been rather quiet lately, and it was beginning to drive her a little stir crazy. And she wasn't alone as she looked to Bulkhead and Bumblebee and saw the eagerness shining in their optics. Hell, she saw the same eagerness shining in Miko's eyes as well. Her energy drink long forgotten.

Arcee shot her a warning look before turning away and transforming.

A mission? Finally! Miko thought, biting down on her bottom lip. This perked her up faster than any old energy drink ever could. Waiting until everyone was distracted Miko darted through the bridge after the Autobots, and found her in a desert area, rock walls and sand surrounding her on all sides, and no signs of the Autobots. Not surprising though no doubt they had gone ahead, no matter, Miko thought smiling as she looked around once more. She would catch up with them in due time. Her heart thundered in her chest as she raced to catch with the Autobots.

"Commander Airachnid." A Vehicon spoke, jerking the femme from her thoughts, a frown gracing her faceplate.

"What?" She growled.

"We have detected Autobot activity in the area."

Her frown was soon replaced with a smile, she had been itching for some action, and the Autobots never failed to deliver. "Perfect." She purred, turning away from the dig site as several Vehicons continued to work to uncover the Decepticon device, Breakdown and Knock Out moving to join her.

Both seeming eager for a fight as they caught sight of the Autobots closing in on them. And what would you know? Arcee just happened to be with them as well, perfect. Hissing Airachnid burrowed underground, ready to strike...
