Narcissa sat in the hallway of the lower level of the Ministry of Magic; her leg gently bouncing up and down as she waited.

"Mrs. Malfoy?" a short, older man asked as he walked up.

"Yes." She said as she stood.

"Follow me please." He began to lead her down the long hallway. "I must warn you, your wand isn't allowed in the room with the prisoner. Stay within the line distance for your safety. He will be chained to the appropriate sections just so he cannot move to far from his chair."

They stopped at the door, guard turning to her. "Are you sure you want to go in there?"

Narcissa nodded her head. "Yes. I must speak with him. He will not harm me."

The guard nodded, held his hand out for her wand, and once he had it, he waved his wand to open the door. Narcissa walked inside and gasped at the man before her.

"Sirius? It's Cissy." Narcissa walked to the line on the floor and sat in the chair.

Sirius looked up to see Narcissa sitting there, a small sweet smile on her face.

"Cissy. How lovely to see you, despite the circumstances." He lifted his hands, showing the chains holding him. "What brings you to see me in such state?"

"It's about Harry, your Godson."

Sirius' eyes went to hers immediatly. "James and Lily's Harry?"

The woman nodded. "Yes."

"What about him? Is he alright?" Sirius began to get nervous and fidgity in his seat.

"Relax, dear cousin, he is perfectly well. I wanted to talk to you about his living arrangements. Lucius and I have been able to get guardianship of him. After finding out after the boy's first year at school how horrid his aunt and uncle were to him, Minerva McGonagall and I went to all necessary workings and brought him home with us. He has been living with us since the beginning of the school year."

Sirius scoffed. "I never liked those Muggles. Thank you for taking him in. Lily would be grateful."

She nodded. "I know you being his Godfather, you automatically become his legal guardian. I don't want to see him hurt any more than he already is. I come to ask a few things of you before you take him."

"How do you know he would even want to live with me? He's heard the stories, I'm sure."

Narcissa smiled. "He doesn't believe them. How do you think Pettigrew was caught? He found him and turned him in. He wants to know you, the you who was best friends with his father."

Sirius smiled. "He sounds just like his father." He turned his head to look at the witch. "What must I do?"

"Your trial is in a few days. I will be there, every step of the way. When they release you, please, I ask that you go to St. Mungos for a psychological evaluation. You have been in Azkaban for almost thirteen years. I know that can take a toll on one's mental state. If you do this, you can be home before the Christmas holidays. It would be perfect for Harry to spend a holiday with you." Narcissa sat at the edge of her chair as she spoke.

Sirius thought about her request. It wasn't that out there of one. He then nodded. "Alright. I'll do it."

Narcissa let out a sigh she was holding. "One more thing. I see him as another son. I have come to care for him deeply. I ask that you please not keep him from me. He and Draco have become close as well, as close as brothers. I know I haven't always been there like I should have. It has come to my attention that my family is more important that I thought. I intend on becoming a constant in family lives, unlike before."

Sirius looked at Narcissa and could see the sincerity in her eyes. "I could never take him away from you. You have taken care of him like he should have always been taken care of. I also promise that your son, Draco, will always be welcome in our home. After all, you cannot keep two best friends apart. They'll always sneak out if so." He smirked.

Narcissa smiled. "I know." She stood and walked closer to Sirius. "I must go now. I'll see you soon. Don't worry, Harry has asked I keep him informed of everything. He wanted you to know he can't wait to see you."

Sirius gave her a nod before she turned around and left. Narcissa retrieved her wand from the guard and left the Ministry.

End of term finally arrived for the trio. Harry, Draco and Hermione gathered their things from the compartment and left the train, Neville and Luna not far behind. They all stepped off, saying their goodbyes and hugging each other, pats on the backs for the boys, of course.

Harry and Draco spotted Narcissa talking with the Grangers. As they approached, the three adults smiled.

"Hello, children. How was school?" Mrs. Granger asked.

"It was great, Mum. Thank you. Excited to spend the summer with Harry and Draco some. Draco promised to teach me how to fly properly." Hermione smiled.

"Well, that sounds lovely." Mrs. Granger turned back towards Narcissa. "Owl me soon, Cissy. I'll make a visit with Hermione and we will trade garden secrets. I must see your gardens."

Narcissa nodded. "Of course. Safe travels home. Hermione, dear, we shall see you soon."

She gave the young with a hug before they all departed. With a wave, they Apparated to Malfoy Manor.

Once inside, the boys disposed of their trunks and followed Narcissa to her study. Narcissa sat in her high back chair, the boys across from her of the couch.

"Harry, dear. I needed to talk to you about something. I went to see Sirus a few days ago. His trial starts next week and I asked something of him that I wanted to discuss with you. After all, you are a young man and things of this nature need to be brought to your attention."

Harry nodded. "Thank you. What is it you discussed with him?"

"Thank you, Mipsy." She said to the small elf after receiving her tea. "I explained to him your situation. That Lucius and I have guardianship over you after pulling you from the retched Muggles. As such, with him being named your Godfather, he is your true guardian. I went to him and asked that when he is released, please consider having a psychological evaluation done for a few months before seeing you."

Harry sat and stared at the Lady Malfoy, his mouth opening and closing liken a fish, trying to process what she said.

"W-what did he say?"

Narcissa smiled. "He agreed. He wants to make sure he is well to be able to have you and work on what you both lost. He assured me he wouldn't completely take you from us."

Harry nodded. A small smile formed on his face. He got up and walked across the small space and gave the woman a hug.

"Thank you. For everything."

She hugged him back. "Of course, my dear." She let him go and stood. "Now, I want you boys to make me a list. A guest list. I'm throwing you two a birthday party. Invite anyone you'd like. I'll need the list by morning."

The boys nodded and went to their rooms. A few hours later, they emerged, dressed for dinner. Both boys were stunned to see Lucius sitting at the head of the table; not used to seeing him there much anymore.

"Good evening, Father."

"Good evening, Lucius."

They both said at the same time.

"Good evening, boys." He replied, busy with The Daily Prophet in front of him.

Narcissa gave them all a smile and waved her hand for the elves to bring dinner. They ate and made small talk throughout. Afterwards, everyone went their separate ways. They boys changed from dinner clothes and met in Harry's room to discuss their guest list.

The next morning, after breakfast, Harry and Draco sat in Narcissa's lounge, waiting for her to go over their guest list.

"Alright, then. Let's see who we have. Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Blaise Zabini, Astoria and Daphne Greengrass, Millicent Bullstrode, Fred and George Weasley, Colin Creevy." Narcissa looked at them, a questioning glance.

"Am I wrong, but aren't there more Weasley children?" They nodded. "Then why aren't they on this guest list. It isn't proper etiquette to invite some and not all of the siblings."

"Mother, we don't get along with Ronald, and Ginny is younger. The other three are older and do their own things." Draco said.

"No matter. We invite all of them, or none. That's the only way."

The boys looked at each other and nodded.

"Good! I will make the invitations and we will have the party at the end of the month."

With that, Narcissa shooed the boys away and began her planning.
