Chapter 28
About Fucking Time

The ship closes in onto where the portal to the Psyche Multiverse is at. After what feels like months, they are getting closer to where they need to be and will be ready in one hour. Everyone gear up and prepare to enter into a new frontier where the collective psyche of all humans are at. A multiverse full of dreams, imagination, nightmares, ideas. A multiverse full of wonders and terrors from every human mind in a vast collection of infinite possibilities.

"Almost ready!" Jack loads up a few more things into his magic item box.

Tsuki puts on her Hello Kitty! hoodie and Hello Kitty! backpack, "I hope its gonna be someplace that isn't too hot or too cold during our first visit."

J.H. finishes doing some push-ups, "I hope things will go smoothly considering the shit we went through just to get there."

"I hear that." Jeb put his Nintendo Switch into his bag, "I feel like I'm about ready to suffer cabin fever if we stay on this ship any longer."

"Ditto." Jose agrees, "There's so much sitting on this craft I can take."

Uma loads up her medical bag into her own item box, "I really need some actual fresh air. Fresh air is good for the mind and soul."

Liga yawns, "I'm tired of being tired."

J.H. gets up, "Good that we're almost there. Just hope that-"

"Don't jinx it!" Tsuki scolds, "Saying something like that is a bad thing! Who knows what pain-in-the-ass bullshit that woman would throw at us if you jinx it."

Muammar raises an eyebrow after putting his book away, "But I think you just did."

Jeb looks around asking, "If we're all here, who's flying the ship?"

"Its on autopilot." Jose pats Jeb on the back, "Besides, we need to make sure we're gonna be okay as we traverse through an entirely new unknown."

Jack chuckles a little, "Interesting choice of words."

Liga does some stretches, "Really need to-"

The whole ship shakes follow by the sound of some sort of insectoid roaring.

Uma asks everyone, "What was that?!"

"It sounded like it came from the engine room." J.H. identifies the source.

Everyone heads on over to the engine room and made a shocking discovery. One of the bugs they encountered before has gotten huge yet developed more mantis-like physiology but the rear is more like that of a spider as the bug glows purple.

"The fuck!?" Jack is surprised, "Its one of those fucking bugs! And it evolved!"

J.H. is frozen in place after seeing the thing.

Muammar freaks out, "But how the hell did we miss this one?!"

"It must've evolved an ability to avoid us somehow!" Uma theorize as she pulls out a Fallout 4 laser rifle.

"Whoa!" Tsuki stops Uma, "If you fire that, you're gonna hit the engines!"

The monstrous roars at the eight as it prepares for a strike with its sickle. Everyone backed out of the room with Tsuki and Muammar pulling J.H. out and snap him out of it. Jeb shuts the door as the monster stabs right through the metal door as everyone is starting to freak out.

"Snap it out of existence!" Jack says to everyone.

They all focus on one particular area where the other bugs disappeared to. They snap their fingers yet nothing happens.

"Mierda!" Jose is frustrated, "This thing is immune to our powers!"

The thing poke its head through the slash.

Uma pulls out the laser again, "I got it now!"

She fires a few rounds and shot the head off. However, it quickly grew a new head in a matter of seconds and roars at them.

"Guess that didn't work!"

Tsuki says, "Emergency force-field!"

The blue shimmer of the force-field sparks and contains the mantis/spider creature while chopping its head off again. Then grew it back. The bug furiously attacks the door and the force-field in order to get to them.

Jeb says to everyone, "We need to get that thing out of the engine room! If we don't, we may as well kiss our asses goodbye!"

Muammar notices, "That thing is more focus on us than the engine! We need to divert its attention then make sure it doesn't cause any more damage!"

"On it!" Liga says, "Split into twos!"

Liga and Uma head on over to the crew quarters. Jack and J.H. went over to the cargo hold. Tsuki and Muammar head on over to the conference room and hunker down. Jose and Jeb head on over to the medical bay as they try to think of something. The mantis/spider creature has developed some sort of energy sickle and made a small cut on the force-field.

Jose and Jeb try to make some sort of concoction in the medical bay.

"What should we use!?" Jeb asks in a panic.

"I don't know! Uma's the medical expert, not me! You and I just tinker with machines!"

"I'll find whatever is poisonous and just mix them together!"

In the cargo hold, J.H. stack a bunch of crates together in a rapid pace similar to a speedster superhero. Jack tries to find a weapon in one of the crates to see what can kill the monster.

"WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE FUCKING BUGS!?" J.H. is freaking out as he continues to stack the crates.

Jack keeps searching, "I DON'T KNOW! BUT THAT THING IS FREAKING ME NOW!"

In the conference room, Tsuki seals the door with onmyoji magic talismans she made during the trip. Muammar is trying to create a hologram that might trick the bug if it ever does come inside the room.

Tsuki then starts setting talismans on the walls, "How the hell did we miss something like that?!"

"Beats me!" Muammar makes a large hologram of a vicious, bug-eating fish in order to scare it, "But we need to take it down! Somehow!"

In the crew quarters, Liga and Uma set up some traps with the dimensional doorways and make sure the thing will die and won't regenerate. Uma sets up a few gun sentries in her own private forest that she used to meditate.

"Looks like my private sanctuary will become a den of death." Uma laments.

"Better that thing being dead than us." Liga place a few landmines down. Plasma landmines.

"True. But how are the others?"

"They are working on their own way of dealing with that thing. Jeb and Jose are working on a poison, Jack is looking for a weapon while J.H. is trying to block the thing with crates, and Tsuki and Muammar are working on their own trap to lure it where the others are at. Including here."

"At least you kept your mental connection. I need to meditate to do that yet now is not the time."

"Want me to send them a psychic message?"

"Do it."

Everyone on the ship received a psychic message from Liga and let them know what others are planning. They all prepare their little traps and weapons and whatever else they have made as the insect monster finally broke through. It uses its antennae to locate where the others are at as insects use their antennae as the main means of smelling. The monster picked up some scents and looked at all the rooms where everyone is at. The creature look at the crew quarters and head there. With a few swipes of its sickles, it tore down the door and ram through only to be caught in Uma and Liga's trap.

The creature went into the dimensional doorway as it gets gun down and gets exploded by the mines. Liga and Uma fled the scene when they noticed the insect grew everything back with its rapid healing factor. The insect slowly turn its gaze at the sentry guns and slice through them. Liga and Uma made it to the captain's quarters and lock themselves in.

"Shit!" Uma realizes, "We should've gone to the medbay to help out Jeb and Jose!"

"Ah fuck! Hope those two don't kill themselves with fumes."

The insect burst out of the crew quarters and make its way towards the conference room by tearing up the walls yet unable to slice through. The reason being is Tsuki's talismans that are making magical force-fields rather than just technological. That means that the mantis/spider creature is unable to pierce through because of magic. While continuing in vain to pierce through the wall, Jeb and Jose carefully sneak out with the poison they just made. Or something that they think is poison. Jeb throws one of the vials at the creature and starts to dissolve the joints between the abdomen and thorax that cause the creature to split into two. It screeches in pain as Jose throws another vial yet onto the creature's left shoulder that cause it to fall off.

"We got it!" Jeb is proud of doing damage to the insect.

"Looks like it works!" Jose is relieved, "Can't believe that it worked."

However, the celebration is cut short when the creature put itself together in a matter of seconds.

"Uh-oh." the two say in unison as they realize they're in trouble.

The insect slowly gets back up as the two head on back to the medical bay.

Jeb shuts the door, "What the fuck is that thing made of!?"

Jose shrugs, "I have no fucking clue, but that puta needs to go down!"

"Get whatever random chemicals we have and throw it!"

The insect heads on over to the door of the medical bay until Jack comes out with a pulse rifle from Dead Space.

"Hey, ugly!" Jack gets the bugs attention, "Eat hot pulse rounds, bitch!"

Jack fires his gun at the monster right in the red of its eyes while trying to shoot its head off as he does a 1980's action movie warcry before he has to reload. Once he reloaded, he fire his gun again and makes sure that the creature stays down. He empties out the clip and reloads again before the creature's headless body started to move again. Once more, he fires more rounds into it as Jeb and Jose throw some random concoctions they just made at it. Whatever they just mixed together, it seem to do the trick as more of its body starts to melt. Liga and Uma come out with a pair of flamethrowers and start burning the body of the creature for good measure. Tsuki comes out and throws a few paper talismans at it and cause it to burn even more. Muammar pulls out a magic staff and shoot lighting at the creature to further damage it right down to its nervous system. They all launch a heavy attack on the monster until it was nothing but a burnt, mutilated carcass and they all stopped.

A few moments of silence fill the ship as the seven of them look at their handiwork.

J.H. peek his head out the corner, "Is it dead!?"

Jack turns around, "DON'T JINX IT!"

Jeb sighs in relief, "Well I hope it is. Fuck me."

Jose sits down, "Mierda. What the fuck was that thing?"

Tsuki approaches the carcass, "I have no idea what it is, but let's be glad that this baka is dead."

She kicks the remains to let out her frustration. After that, the whole ship shakes. Everyone look at Tsuki.

"Did I do that?"

BOOM! An explosion is heard at the engine room.

"Ah fuck!" J.H. realizes the situation as the ship shakes again.

Jeb, Jose and J.H. head on over to the engine room and see the whole thing on fire and in pieces.

"Ah FUCK!" J.H. says again as the ship keeps tilting.

Outside, the ship is spinning out of control as the thrusters go in and out while in hyperspace. Or something akin to hyperspace pending on who's asking.

Tsuki grabs control of the helm and tries to gain control.

Jack screams, "HIT THE BREAKS!"

Tsuki hit a few buttons to regain control but, "Nothing's working! The whole system's fried!"

Liga pulls on the emergency breaks, "NOT EVEN THE BREAKS ARE WORKING!"

Uma checks the screens, "SOMETHING IS PULLING US IN! WE'RE CAUGHT IN A GRAVITY WELL!"

The ship is now completely out of control as it spins wildly with everyone screaming for their lives as something is pulling them in.

Jack shouts, "WE NEED TO USE OUR POWERS! CONCENTRATE!"

"TOO LATE!" Uma shouts, "BRACE FOR IMPACT!"

Outside the ship, it is being pulled into something that is akin to a black hole as it gets stretched until it gets completely absorbed into it. What happens next is that they exited out on the other side and on some planet that has foliage similar to Earth's temperate regions with pine trees and the such. And it's night. The ship crashed into the ground with its plating coming off and the underside being scratched up followed by sparks from the metal colliding with some of the rocks. The ship stops until the tip of it is on the edge of a cliff.

Everyone inside are completely knocked out with the fire suppression system finally kicking in that put out all the fires. Despite the cold water pouring down onto them, they won't snap out of it as they lay helpless in the situation they are in and completely unaware. While unconscious, outside the ship, someone approach to investigate the crash site.

AN: Hey everyone. Hope you enjoy this chapter despite it being short...and the delay. Sorry, I had a lot going on this month like a piece of one of my teeth chipped off, work, a book I am writing, dentist appointments, and trying to keep up with the animes I've been watching (despite some delays and changes, especially with Funimation if you guys already know the news). Now for the bad news:

This fanfiction will be on hiatus for the time being. The reason; I have a new story idea. Don't worry, it won't be rated M. Yet if you guys want to read my new rated M stories, they are Punk'd Up and World of Darkness: Dark Messiah. As for my new story idea, well, it is actually a bunch of different story ideas I've been working on and just merge them into one. It might be a little chaotic yet people have merged a whole bunch of things together and they turned out alright...for some of them. Well anyway, see you guys in the other stories I've been working on as this one will be on hiatus. Till then, see ya!
