A/N I'm sorry it's been a while since the last chapter. I just gave birth to my son last month and I had no time to write anything. But finally I can come up with this chapter. I'm sorry for mistakes in the previous chapters and I'll try to fix it and thank you for the reviews, I really appreciate it. Enjoy this one.

It was a little too late when Elsa and Anna sat together on the terrace of the club house enjoying pizza for dinner. After dance lessons, Elsa took the time to clean up when suddenly Anna asked her to have a little sisterly chat. And because indeed she felt hungry, Elsa immediately said yes.

"There is nothing like Chicago pizza." Elsa let out a sigh of pleasure as soon as she chewed the first bite of her pizza. She didn't realize how much she missed chicago pizza until now.

"Well, you won't be without it much longer, right?" Anna asked while chewing. She felt confident that her sister would get the fellowship and return to Chicago because she knew how smart Elsa was. There was no way her sister wouldn't get that fellowship.

"Mmm?" Elsa had a hard time answering that. There were several considerations that made her unable to answer straight away, but she just couldn't bear to disappoint her sister. "Yeah.. I guess.. "

But Anna knew better, she knew her sister like she knew the back of her hand. She put down her slice of pizza and sighed softly.

"Let me guess. Hans hasn't agreed to Chicago if you get the fellowship?" Anna guessed, her face implied that of course it was because of Hans. And the change of Elsa's emotion, the long sigh of her breath, and how she avoided Anna's gaze confirmed that.

"Okay, it's fine. You don't want to talk about it. I won't twist your arm. I've got enough on my mind already." Anna raised her hands in surrender. She knew she wouldn't be able to force her sister to talk about something she didn't want to talk about. After all, there were still many things about her wedding that she still had to think about including...

"Is that...?" Anna had to look down and squint to see someone below who was now climbing the stairs. She thought it was her future husband, but...

"No... " She wasn't sure it was Kristoff because he was walking okay, not limping like he did during the dance lesson earlier.

"Wha...? Kristoff!" She was now sure that it was Kristoff as soon as he went up to the terrace and his whole face was visible. And strangely enough, as soon as Kristoff found her eyes, his leg limped again.

"Hey, Hon'." Said the limping Kristoff walking closer, but not that close. His hands continued to hold the back of his thigh.

"What are you doing, creeping around?" Anna asked, her curiosity level had really almost crossed the line and was now more suspicious.

"What? Uh... I was just... getting some ice for my hamstring. Yeah, I don't want to limp down the aisle. That wouldn't be good. Right? Uh... but you guys have fun, okay? Better go before the ice machine closes, though, so... I'll see you guys in a bit." And without waiting for an answer from Anna, Kristoff turned around and left, leaving Anna and Elsa confused.

"What is he up to? Sneaking around... ducking out on duties..." Anna let her bad thoughts speak. She didn't want to think badly of her future husband, but his recent behavior meant she couldn't just take that lightly.

"Anna..." Elsa could guess where Anna's thoughts were going and she didn't want Anna to think too far ahead.

"Boyfriend-Kristoff, is wonderful, but what if there is a Married-Kristoff that I don't know yet, who keeps secrets, and doesn't care about the things that are important to me?" Anna ignored Elsa's warning and continued to think about what was in her head.

"Oh, Anna, where do I start?" Elsa asked more to herself while massaging the bridge of her nose.

"Els, am I getting cold feet?" Again, Anna ignored what Elsa said.

"You should really talk to Kristoff about these worries. Communication is the best medicine." Said Elsa finally. She was with Anna several times when Kristoff acted strangely. And although she tried not to take it seriously, seeing how worried Anna was, it was starting to bother her.

"I know, I know, but... I'm afraid to. It's the wedding week. I don't want to have a big showdown. I just wish that he would make an extra effort once in a while..." Anna then looked at Elsa. "And Elsa, you deserve that, too."

Even though she was confused about how this conversation was directed at her suddenly, Elsa tried not to take it seriously so se just looked at Anna as if to say 'really?'

"Don't give me that look." Said Anna. "You don't think you deserve the same thing from Hans?"

"Look, we are talking about you right now." Elsa emphasized the word 'you', making Anna finally sigh in defeat.

"Yeah, well, don't worry. Cold feet aren't contagious."

"Don't you worry. You are going to have the fairytale wedding you have dreamed of since we were kids. I promise." Elsa said, intending to end the conversation with the topic. And it worked, they then talked about their childhood, about their imagination of what a perfect wedding would be like.

"That was very sweet of you back there, asking Aunt Millie to dance." Elsa said to Jack. Again, the two of them were walking together towards their bungalows late that night.

After finishing her pizza with Anna, Elsa didn't mind when Jack suddenly appeared and said that he would take her to her bungalow. In fact, she was looking forward to meet Jack because she wanted Jack to know that she appreciated what he did for Aunt Millie.

"Hey, she's got a fantastic foxtrot." Jack smiled, took one step forward and turned around, so that now he and Elsa were facing each other.

Elsa had to stop in her tracks because now Jack was blocking her path and then she looked up at him. The way the moonlight made every tip of Jack's hair shine stunned her for a moment.

As for Jack, he only realized how beautiful the woman in front of him was when he let his guard down. He really thought that it was really the time for him to open his heart again, or maybe, the woman in front of him seemed to have forced the door to his heart open without either of them realizing it.

"I may have misjudged you a little." Elsa said suddenly, interrupting Jack's thoughts. She smiled sincerely and didn't hesitate to look Jack straight in the eyes.

"Yeah?" Jack smirked but then imitated Elsa's smile. "I think it's possible that I might've misjudged you just a tiny bit, too."

Both of them smiled and were still looking at each other. And that's when an idea crossed Jack's mind.

"So listen, tomorrow's a pretty big day. We have the rehearsal, you have your slide show, but I was thinking..."

"Oh, you are not suggesting we play hooky on our wedding duties?" Elsa interrupted, seeing the mischievous smile that appeared on Jack's face for a moment, she thought she knew what Jack's idea was.

"No, we still help with the wedding, but then we also take some time for some R and R... some... fun!" Jack suggested, making Elsa shake her head even though her smile grew wider.

"Yeah? Best of both worlds? What do you think? Deal?" Jack asked, holding out his hand for a hand shake.

Jack knew, maybe Elsa couldn't immediately agree because he knew how dedicated she was to this wedding, but it was all worth a try. He wanted to spend time with Elsa and besides that, he also wanted Elsa to enjoy her time to at least have some fun.

Seeing Elsa thinking a little too long, Jack started to be pessimistic that she wouldn't agree to his plan but in the end Elsa took his hand and shook it firmly.

"Deal!"

But then Elsa walked past Jack and went straight into her bunglow, leaving Jack expecting something more than that.

"Yeah. And good night to you, too." Jack murmured. And after calming his heartbeat which had been beating erratically because Elsa was willing to spend time with him, he let out a long sigh and then walked towards his bungalow.

"What a great way to start the day." Said Elsa between breaths as she continued running.

Early in the morning, Jack knocked on her bungalow door and Elsa was a little surprised to find him in a running suit. The word 'fun' that Jack always said never came close to this. But for some reason, Elsa actually invited Jack in while waiting for her to change into the same suit.

And in the end, they circled the property starting with a leisurely walk, and then jogging, until when their competitive spirit emerged, they did a sprint race.

Even though Elsa was much smaller than Jack, it turned out she could put up a fierce fight.

"You mind if we stop, just for a minute?" Shouted Jack, who was a few steps behind Elsa.

"Oh!" Elsa slowed down until she finally stopped. "I thought for sure you'd be able to keep up." She said in a mocking tone between gasping breaths before finally walked again.

Jack matched Elsa's steps, who was still walking. "Well, A, I did keep up, and B, it's three times around the golf course. It's a lot of running."

"This is your idea by the way. And, you're a lawyer. I thought you'd be especially long-winded." Elsa said, giggling in amusement at the change in expression on Jack's face.

"Ha, that's very funny. Can we... just take a little break?" Jack had to swallow his pride and ask for a break because if he continued running even for another minute, he was sure he would collapse. Even though the thought of being helped by a doctor was as attractive as Elsa had tempted him.

"Break? This is... I'm supposed to be having fun today!" Elsa slowed her pace and threw her hands to the side in frustration.

"Yes, fun, but not at my expense." Jack said defensively, still trying to steady his breathing.

Elsa rolled her eyes but then she checked her watch. "All right, let's see... we still have time before the wedding rehearsal, so we could schedule--

"Schedule?" Jack cut Elsa off, he then straightened up and looked at Elsa in disbelief. "No way! You can't schedule fun! You--"

"Hey, guys!" Now it was Anna's turn who was suddenly standing in front of them with a sparkling face. And Jack was wondering how Anna could find them.

As for Elsa, she was more concerned with what brought Anna to the point of having to bother finding them.

"The bakery's van just pulled up. Could I possibly draft you to take a look?" Said Anna, clapping her hands in front of her chest excitedly.

Jack and Elsa looked at each other as if to say, 'oh, it's about that cake'.

"Sure, yeah. Piece of cake." Jack said lightly, winking at Elsa to show that he would do as Anna asked, along with Elsa.

"Oh, thank you!" Anna breathed, then immediately turned around and left Jack and Elsa to do something else.

"Piece of cake? Very funny." Elsa quipped, even though she couldn't hide her smile. This man was something sometime.

"Thank you." Jack replied smiling broadly. He took a deep breath and then walked away, immediately followed by Elsa. Jack hoped that this cake thing wouldn't take up too much time so he could continue his fun time with Elsa.

"Exactly as the bride requested. Belgian cocoa, French cream, the finest Japanese marzipan, and I crafted the cake topper also as requested, in pure Madagascar sugar, infused with orange blossoms and vanilla." Said the cake shop owner who at that time was delivering the cake.

The two kitchen staff who initially received the cake remained there just in case their services were needed.

"Wow... nice work." Elsa said amazed. While Jack, who didn't understand almost everything the owner was talking about, could only clap his hands and smile like an idiot.

"We aim to please. On time, and on budget," the owner said proudly, then turned to Jack. "and the Mayor's going to hear about this, right?"

"Yes, of course. I'm a man of my word." Jack answered, with his typical lawyer's smile.

The owner held the handover note and as soon as Jack finished speaking, she held out the note for Elsa to sign.

"Thank you so, so much. It's perfect. The bride is going to be so happy." Elsa received the note and immediately signed it.

Pleased with the client's reaction, the owner smiled and nodded, then accepted the note that Elsa gave. She then left there to return to her shop, leaving Elsa, Jack and the two kitchen staff.

"Okay, we need to get this cake into that refrigerator." Elsa instructed, gesturing to move the cake to the refrigerator in the corner of the room.

The kitchen staff obeyed and immediately carried out Elsa's orders. Elsa and Jack followed while watching the cake being moved.

"Yep, and just, just... ooh, be so, so, so, so careful. It is a masterpiece. Yes..." Elsa muttered as she followed behind, there couldn't be anything wrong with this cake or they would all be in trouble.

The cake was on a metal table with wheels so it could be easily moved here and there and at first everything went smoothly until they had to turn a corner. The narrow track made one of the kitchen staff change position and that, made the metal table a little unbalanced. And Jack noticed that.

"Watch the corner!" Jack exclaimed, holding onto the table so the cake wouldn't collapse and then fall. While Elsa could only gasp and clutch her forehead with both hands when she saw what had just happened.

"Oh! No... " Elsa's eyes almost bulged out when she saw what was happening, while Jack and the two kitchen staff could only wince in horror. The Bride and Groom wedding cake topper had fallen off.

"The sugar groom's arm fell off!" Elsa picked up the wedding topper which had been fallen from the cake and the worst thing was that one of the arms of the groom fell off. She held the groom in one hand and the arm in the other.

"This is very bad. It's very bad. Very bad." Elsa said, she felt very bad because she knew there was no time left if she had to ask the owner to make new topper. But how is it possible to have a wedding cake without groom and bride wedding topper?

"Maybe Anna... she might not even notice that?" Jack said tentatively. His words even sounded doubtful to his own ears.

"Are you kidding? Anna would notice a flower petal out of place on a centerpiece a hundred feet away. She sees bad omens in every mistake! What are we going to do?" Elsa asked a little panicked. The thought of having to explain all this to her sister was now filling her head, it wasn't going to go smoothly, one hundred percent.

One of the kitchen staff took the groom topper and looked at it. "We can sub in a plastic one." He said lightly, for him wedding toppers made of plastic were something that was commonly used.

"Plastic?" Elsa asked in a high tone, higher than she intended. This guy clearly didn't know Anna. She asked for toppers made from sugar, not plastic and from the sugar she was going to get. Not plastic. "That cake lady crafted the topper with pure Madagascar sugar with her own hands. So, no. No, plastic's not going to work."

"So what do you suggest? What can we do?" Jack asked, making new wedding toppers wasn't an option. He couldn't imagine what the owner would say if they asked her to redo it on such a short deadline.

Elsa took a deep breath, closed her eyes and put her palms together in front of her chest, trying to calm down, she had to find an idea to save these wedding toppers. And the idea she got...

"Nurse, a little more light, please."

Elsa and Jack were currently at the serving table acting as a doctor and nurse who were performing 'surgery' on the groom's arm. They couldn't order a new one due to time constraints so they had to repair the existing one and hope for the best.

"Oh, yeah, gladly..." Jack took out his cell phone and turned on the light. He aimed the light right at the wedding toppers so Elsa could clearly see which parts needed repair.

"And thanks for bumping me up to nurse." Jack added. When Elsa suggested gluing the broken arm with cake frosting and appointing Jack as her assistant nurse, he happily agreed.

Elsa was so serious about looking at the wedding topper that they almost stuck to her nose so she just nodded briefly. "Okay, um... frosting?"

"Frosting, check." Jack took the piping bag containing cake frosting on the table and handed it to Elsa. When he handed over the frosting, his eyes couldn't look away from Elsa's serious face. He smiled, because he now thought that in whatever condition and emotional status, Elsa always looked cute. Like really, really cute. Beautiful? That was for sure.

"Kay... " Elsa piped the frosting on the groom's shoulder very carefully and then took his arm.

"Now... " Again, very carefully she attached the arm. She squinted her eyes even more looking for the right angle so she could attach the arm without damaging the other parts.

"Nope... Yes!" Elsa smiled broadly when the arm was successfully attached and when she removed her hand, the arm remained in place.

"The ulna and the radius are going to make a full recovery." Elsa presented her work to Jack and smiled proudly.

"Wow. I'd say you've got a pretty steady hand in a crisis." Jack took the now repaired topper and then placed it on top of the cake which was now in the refrigerator.

Elsa put her hands on her hips and smiled. She was super satisfied with her work, and the most important thing was that she didn't have to disappoint her sister because of a cake topper disaster.

"I knew that surgical residency would pay off one day." She said, winking and it made Jack chuckle.

Now that the cake business was taken care of, Jack looked at his watch and saw that he still had enough time. He then walked closer to Elsa and suggested something he really wanted to do with her.

"Well, now that the crisis is averted, I think it's time for some of that fun that you promised." He said, happy that he could finally spend time with Elsa without the hassle of wedding duties.

Elsa tilted her head and thought that Jack still hadn't forgotten the 'fun' they talked about earlier even after they went through the cake topper disaster.

But truth to be told, she was looking forward to this 'fun' that Jack kept talking about, like a stubborn boy. Why? She didn't know, but what was certain was that the fondness she felt for Jack was starting to grow.

"What did you have in mind?" She said finally.

"I was thinking maybe a little golf... not for networking, just for fun."

And about thirty minutes later the two of them were on the golf course playing golf against each other. Both of them looked happy at the start of the game but as time went on, Jack's face turned sour and he became a little quiet.

Meanwhile, Elsa's smiling face became even happier and several times she had to grimace when Jack hit the ball badly. But that only meant one thing, that she had the upper hand on Jack.

"Why are you so quiet?" Elsa asked after she took the ball from the hole. She was a little curious because Jack wasn't like Jack who usually talked a lot, especially when he was making fun of her.

Elsa had just won another round over Jack and the two of them finally decided to end the game and were now walking towards their cart.

"Off my game a little bit, but I'm gracious in defeat... or, pretending to be." Said Jack, it sounded like he was trying to admit that Elsa was better than him at playing golf, even though he didn't want to admit it.

Elsa was tempted to mock him, but then Jack opened his mouth first when they finally got to their cart.

"We still have a little time before the rehearsal, and a golf cart at our disposal. What say we explore the resort a little bit?" He suggested, leaning against the golf cart after he put away his golf clubs.

"Explore?" Elsa felt the need to clarify what Jack meant by 'explore' because she couldn't disappear all day. Maybe she would have something to do related to the wedding, and also, she couldn't leave without telling anyone, right? What if someone needed her?

"Yeah, there's probably some great picnic areas around here." Jack answered with a shrug, gesturing to the area around the golf course with his hand.

Elsa frowned at that. Picnic? Alone with this man? She felt awkward about that. She had a boyfriend, for God's sake. Or maybe at least that was what she thought.

She cleared her throat and then took out her cellphone from her pants pocket. "You know what, I really should check on a few patients."

"What, you're not on call this week, are you? And they're in good hands? So they'll be fine... and you remember our deal, right? Fun when our work is done?" Said Jack, trying to convince Elsa that she could just have some time for herself and not think about anyone else, for a while. And he was determined to make Elsa care more about herself.

Elsa thought for a moment. Why was this man so desperate for her to have more time for herself? How bad was she at taking care of herself? But maybe he was right. From the moment she arrived at this resort, she was too busy making sure that Anna and her wedding problem could be resolved that she didn't think about pampering herself with all the joys provided at this resort.

And in the end, even though it felt strange to do so, she turned on silent mode on her cellphone and put it back in her pants pocket.

"I think you're right." She said, putting her golf clubs away and getting ready to get into the cart when she heard Jack say something that made her roll her eyes.

"I'm what?" Jack said, trying to hold back a winning smile, he tilted his head and narrowed his eyes. Finally, Elsa admitted that he was right.

Elsa didn't want to answer that. It wasn't that easy for her to give Jack the satisfaction that for once, she admitted that he was right, that she agreed with his idea and with everything he just said, and.. that she wanted to go on a picnic with him. And when she looked at his face, at certain moments this man could be so, so annoyingly adorable.

So she just steadied her seat and patted the dashboard in front of her.

"Does this thing have a stereo?" She asked.

Jack chuckled and immediately got into the driver's seat, checking the cart for the stereo Elsa was talking about. "I hope so."

"Alright. Let's rock and roll!"
