7. Finding a Slug Pt1

A/N Hey back with another chapter. We didn't hit our review goal last time for this update but I figured maybe we lost some people because it can be hard seeing a character you like make mistakes, but I hope that those who have stuck with me till this point can express their likes and dislikes so far. Since we didn't meet our goal I wont continue to update this story unless we get 6 reviews. I understand that 6 people might not want to see the story continued so this could be the last chapter. Enjoy.

Chapter 7

Finding a Slug Pt.1

Karui had stayed with Naruto throughout the remainder of the festival. She enjoyed seeing the Konoha citizen going about laughing and playing. She watched with Naruto as the parades came up and down the streets, they had a parade float that looked like the 9 tails, but its tails were throwing beads and candy for the children.

This sparked her question turning to Naruto who was suspiciously throwing away the rest of a kabab he bought from a nearby food vendor.

"Naruto-kun what did you do in order to help the 4th hokage defeat the 9 tails." Karui said softly as to not draw more attention to the pair still everywhere they went she could always find multiple set of eyes on them. Since the Hokage's announcement an hour ago, and even before people who saw them in the streets ran up to speak to Naruto, but after the announcement they'd also congratulate and welcome her to their village. Sometimes going unnecessarily out their way to do so some crossing the streets just to get to them.

It was all unnerving for Karui, although she didn't mind having attention on her the number of eyes and heads turning to gawk at them made her slightly uncomfortable, and although all the people that came to welcome her were citizens. She figured she still would have to work hard to gain the approval of the shinobi of the village.

Yet Naruto has lived like this his whole Life? I have to strengthen my resolve.

Naruto looked at her before saying "Well I was still a baby, so I didn't do anything really. Hey how about we head back to my compound sorry but I'm getting a bit tired. If you like I can send you back out with one of my servants to enjoy the rest of the festival.

Karui shaking her head "No its fine Naruto-kun, I am also getting tired."

She followed Naruto back to his family compound taking the back streets and roads that were way less busy than the main streets being used for the parade. Karui was thinking in her head that there was definitely more to that story than what Naruto had shared. The Hokage and the village wouldn't be celebrating him so vigorously if what he said was true and he didn't have an important role on that night she just couldn't comprehend what that role was exactly.

As they approached the exterior of the compound Naruto turned to her saying. "Samui-san has already returned from speaking with the Hokage, Omoi-san is also here they are both making themselves at home in my guest house. I want to warn you that my… sensei… Jiraiya may show up at any time, because I have training with him later tonight. He is a self-proclaimed pervert, but it's not all talk he really is a pervert. When he comes, he will also be staying at the guest house. I just want to warn you before we go in, I can't protect you." Naruto said looking sad and angry as he spoke this.

Why is he speaking as though he saw Samui-chan come back? Like he has some type of knowledge I don't? We have been with each other all day and no one has come up to him with that information so how can he state it so definitively.

This was also the first time he showed her such deep worry, and concern. She was confused why she was warning him about the presence of Jiraiya. Then the name rung bells in her head.

"You mean one of the legendary sannin Jiraiya?"

Naruto nodded his head.

Karui was even more confused why did Naruto feel as though he had to protect her against one of the heroes to come from his village?

Karui took a good look at the compound as they walked in and gasped in amazement. To say it was massive was an understatement. It was huge the compound looked as though it could easily house a clan consisting of at least 300-500 members. Yet it was designed in a way that made it look like a village within a village. She could say honestly that she was impressed and that the compound of the Uzumaki-Namikaze was the best she has ever seen.

They elegant structure of the buildings showed the impressive finance of the clan. The compound's size rivaled the size of the largest clan compound back in Kumogakure.

All this for one person?

This just added to the fame wealth and importance, and mystery of the boy in front of her. She thought it was strange to have this much property in the wealthy part of town, but she was starting to realize that she knew nothing about the boy in front of her. Even though they were together all day, she couldn't help the feeling that something was off.

"Before I summon Omoi and Samui I wanted you to come into the main family compound first. Outside of you, Jiraiya and one other, no one else has come into my main compound." Said sadly, Karui didn't miss this. This guy was completely unreadable.

When she first met him, she was a little scared of how calculating and cold he came off to be with her believing that he had an intellectual capability far beyond his years. She feared that she would be under constant scrutiny from him and that all her action and inaction would be under surveillance. From their talks about her clan's future, he had single handedly defeated her before the negotiation even began. Then at the academy he showed a human side that made her realize that he could show positive emotions and actually could be seen as a regular kid. Laughing and goofing around with Kiba made him seem no different the Omoi and the other kids at her village. Then as they headed into the village for, the festival he went back into a stoic clan head. As though in public he portrayed an image of a noble clan head, then in school he portrayed the image of a normal shinobi academy student. Was everything an act or was none of it an act? How was he at home in the privacy of his clan compound?

Karui nodded understandable it was a common for Noble clans to keep the main families compound off limits to visitors except those with a close relationship with the clan's head family.

She followed him into his main family compound, and she was greeted by the wonderful smell of cooking in the air. As if knowing his arrival was imminent 4 of his servants were waiting to greet them in the hallway.

Karui thought this was a bit strange but speculated that maybe the servants had been on standby for their arrival for hours. Which isn't too uncommon.

"Welcome back Lord Naruto-sama, Lord Karui-sama dinner will be ready in an hour." The maid with darker hair and pale eyes stated to the two. Karui recognized the eyes as the same type of eyes that the young Hyuga girl had back at the shinobi academy. Although the servants' eyes didn't hold the same malice that the other girls' eyes did.

Naruto nodded to her saying a quick thank you before telling Karui to follow him. She did they walked for what felt like hours in the huge compound before they approached a door.

Before entering Naruto turned to her saying "Sorry in advance, but this is my room. I'd like you to come in and I have no indecent meaning I just want to meet you."

Karui was confused what did he mean meet her? They had been together all day! What is this boy talking about!

He was completely unpredictable she had no idea what he was talking about or what was going through his head. Sighing at her thoughts she mentally was preparing herself for what would happen once she stepped through the door.

Maybe he was trying to consummate our betrothal.

At this thought Karui shivered in fear before pushing the thoughts out of her head and following Naruto into his room.

The two walked in and Karui stopped frozen in shock. Before her was Naruto's room it was well lit so she could see everything in the room. His room was a mess scrolls spawn all over the floor. Paper with Notes also were all over the floor, so it was almost un-walkable. His bed was huge an Alaskan king size bed that she had never seen in person before, but looked as though it could fit multiple people on the mattress. The interior was decorated like that of a noble, but what really through her off was there he was! A Naruto was sitting on the bed with 5 scrolls unrolled around him. He was looking at her giving her a nervous smile while scratching the back of his head.

But that wasn't the only Naruto in the room counting the one that had just walked in with her there was another who was meticulously studying a scroll with his back to her sitting at a desk. Here she was staring at three different Naruto's! Karui was too shocked to speak she was just looking between the three blond haired boys; she even rubbed her eyes and pinched her arms to make sure she wasn't seeing things or dreaming. The Naruto that was with her all day was standing next to her still, then there was the Naruto smiling nervously at her then there was a Naruto studying a scroll. Karui's eyes kept looking between the three trying to make sense of what she was seeing.

Is it some type of clone jutsu? But he is a first-year academy student. I was at the class and from what Kiba told me they still wouldn't be practicing jutsu and other things until next year. I had touched Naruto multiple times throughout the day by coincidence he felt warm. There isn't a clone jutsu that I am aware of that can copy human nature so well that they feel like a real person! Plus, I saw him eating multiple times today clones don't need to eat!

Karui was filled with thoughts as she had an internally debate trying to figure out just what exactly was going on.

She was so invested in her thoughts that she almost missed the Naruto who was sitting on the bed speak to her.

"I am so sorry Karui-chan for the deception, these two are shadow clones I'm the real Naruto." That Naruto got up from the bed and bowed to her. She watched as the Naruto standing next to her and the one who was reading a scroll turned to bow to her as well. So now all three of the boys were bowing to her respectfully.

Karui was still too shocked to speak just looking at the three boys.

So, the person I was with all day was not Naruto but a clone of him?

She looked at the boy who claimed to be the real Naruto. Now she was observing him more closely. He had heavy bags under his eyes as though he was barely sleeping, his eyes held a sadness to him that she had seen on the face of the other Naruto's, but this Naruto looked like that was the only expression that he had shown for months as though his face was stuck in sadness. He looked to be the same as the clones, but since this Naruto was only wearing a shirt and some cargo shorts, she could tell that this person does quite rigorous physical training. He was the strongest looking boy she has seen in their age group. His hair was unkempt unlike his clone that she had been with all day whose appearance seemed to be well maintained.

This boy was looking ragged as though he had just finished fighting a war. She kept getting drawn to his eyes. The deep blue eyes that looked like an ocean held a sadness within them that spoke to massive storm within that ocean.

"I assume you are too angry to speak I understand. I have been deceiving you all day." Naruto said sighing before sitting on his bed and throwing his head back to look at the roof and away from Karui. The Naruto that was with her spoke

"Hey boss I complete my task for today so I'm out of here see ya!" Kauri watched in amazement when the shadow clone puffed into smoke and disappeared.

Disappearing clones in a puff of smoke? I didn't even know such clones existed! I though all clones were attached to some type of element.

"What type of clones are these Lord-Naruto" Karui asked amazed. He not only was held in high regard by everyone within the village, but his clones were so good that he was able to fool not only her but everyone she had seen him interact with all day including the shinobi council! The more she thought she understood about Naruto the less she actually did.

No one had made it seem like she was with a clone, no one had recognized that the boy with her wasn't real. Everyone had moved in a fashion to show they all had been deceived by his clone.

It's a bit scary.

Naruto looked up at her from his laying position "Oh these guys are just some of my shadow clones. I make them to do various things for me now since I haven't left the compound outside of training with Jiraiya for like three months now right clone?"

"That's right boss hasn't left the compound since that day!" the clone replied.

Karui was taken back Shadow clones? Since that day? What?

She had never even heard of such a jutsu creating such life like clones that had their own will was beyond any elemental clone she knew of. These clones were on the same level difficulty wise as the clones rumored to have been made by the first hokage.

"And this jutsu allows you to make clones of yourself that you then send out to do your everyday life? What about school and your shinobi council meetings? Do you have to control these clones individually or have they been acting independently of you"?

"Oh yeah, I send them to do that to, I use my clones for school, shinobi council meeting, pretty much anything that involves me leaving the compound, except when I train with Jiraiya. I can't use clones then because if you hit them to hard, they disperse see" Naruto said before chucking a Kunai at the last remaining clone in the room who yelled "HEY" before dispersing in a puff of smoke like the clone that she had been with all day did.

This left the room empty with just the two of them. Kauri's silence was making Naruto uncomfortable, so he started rambling to fill the space.

"Yeah, pretty much I just use the clones to do everything for me so I can stay here in my room or in the compound. I figure no one would really notice so I've been doing this for the last three months. At first it was pretty tricky like I said they will just go 'poof' at any contact to hard. So, one day I believe I made like 200 clones to replace the ones that kept popping, but now I just have about 50 on standby now training in the forest of death since not many people use it, it was the perfect place to hid my extras and have them train on their own, they are really useful in training at least I can learn what they learn, so it's been making learning all these knew things easier. They act completely independent from me, although they each have my personality and can't do things I can't/wouldn't be able to do I don't have to control them like elemental clones. I've just stay here with my Oka-s I mean s-s-servants and study scrolls left to me by my parents and do all my physical training here. No one ever comes to visit me other than Jiraiya and I wished he'd stop coming, but I can't get rid of him until I master sage jutsu, and that's part of the reason why my room looks like this, you know there is a lot of theory behind sage jutsu right? It's pretty complicated stuff, so that's why I had another clone here to just study that alone, so I could focus on doing what I have to in order to open more of my parents scrolls. I used to have to rely on that damn pervert to open these things, but I figured out how to open them myself now that m fuinjutsu is advanced enough, so I barely even talk to the toad now outside of training, cause fuck that dude. I pretty much haven't even talked to anyone besides my oka-sa… I mean my servants here in my compound. My Nara-ka.. I mean my Nara servant has been saying for the past two months that it's not healthy for someone my age to be locked up like this, but if I'm not here I'm worried I won't be able to protect them, so I have to be here although she says that it is messing up my development and could lead to me having more social anxiety, and awkwardness if I don't talk to people. I've been trying to tell her that I do talk to people I talk to them, and I talk to my clones, and my clones talk to people, and I experience what they do so it's like I'm talking to a person. She says that doesn't count as conversation though which I don't really agree with, and me talking directly to my clones is more like having a conversation with myself wait… I'm rambling… I'm sorry again" Naruto said blushing mad red before bowing.

This was the first time he had spoken to someone outside his Oka-sans, Jiraiya and himself in 3 months he had been too carried away and started rambling his thoughts out.

Karui was stunned speechless.

What the fuck is going on? So, this is the real Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze? A depressed shut in?

"Wait so let me get this straight." Karui was now standing in front of Naruto with a hand on her chin thinking as she paced back in forth in front of him.

"So, you're saying that you have been using clones for the past three months sending them out from this compound to do various things such as attending school and shinobi council meeting all while you have the ability to make at least 200 more of them, and while you stay here you are training and studying scrolls, amongst the things your studying is Sage Jutsu which is a hokage level jutsu. You have the ability to make a clone that looks and feel real that can legitimately take your place without anyone realizing and have the chakra reserves to not only make not one or two but 200 of these doppelgangers which is a jonin level ability just being able to make one of your clones. Yet you're technically a first-year academy student and a clan head of a Noble clan of Konoha, and the child of the 4th hokage and Kushina Uzumaki who hasn't left his clans compound in three months."

Naruto nodded his head "Yep all that is true."

Karui was appalled that shouldn't be possible no it's not possible, no one could make those amounts of life like clones, their chakra reserves would be completely diminished! Yet she is seeing it with her own eyes she has no choice but to believe it.

"Is this a joke?" She couldn't find any other words to express her amazement she really had no idea who this boy was.

At this Naruto laugh loudly as though Karui was the one who had made a joke. Karui listened to the sadden laughter of the boy she was taken back when the laughter slowly turned in to sobbing laughter. Naruto looked up to her eyes and she felt her heartache at the pain expressed in his deep blue orbs. Chuckling while wiping the forming tears from his eyes.

"Yeah, I guess you can say my life is a joke huh. The hero of the village Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze nothing but a shut in! It's hilarious!" Naruto said softly.

Karui instinctively sat next to Naruto embracing him in a side hug which seemed to melt the remainder of Naruto defenses down she felt him shake into her shoulder and the wetness from his tears on his sleeve.

"I am sorry Lord Naruto, I didn't mean to offend you, I am simple amazed and didn't know how to comprehend what you were saying, it's hard for me to believe and see a 7-year-old balancing such a high level jutsu so easily and hearing about you studying sage jutsu blew me away. All my people know of the Sage's that Konoha have created have been amongst the strongest shinobi in the world. To hear you are studying such a powerful technique baffles me. Again, I meant no offense, I just don't understand how a person so powerful and so young became a shut in."

Naruto nodded removing himself from Karui's side hug "I understand Karui-chan it's probably a lot to take in on your first day, I know it technically wasn't me but what my clone said earlier about just calling me Naruto I mean that. It's okay I really want us to be friends and to prove that I'll tell you everything that happened even if you make fun of me."

Karui listened to Naruto speak for an hour he told her everything about his life. From how he was born with the 9 tails being sealed within him as a baby, to being raised by his servants gifted to him by the hokage and the noble clans of Konoha. Being regarded as a hero even though he feels like he is incompetent and hasn't saved anyone, to the attempted kidnapping of him and Hinata Hyuga, his Hyuga servant being taken, to the same Hyuga girls confession to him 3 months ago to his Sensei Jiraiya assaulting his mom, those two were the main reasons he became a shut in. Naruto apparently didn't have the courage to face his former best friend.

"You see how everyone in the village looks at me Karui-chan, everywhere I go eyes are on me, and everyone expects me to be great, the village, Jiraiya, my father, and mother. Yet in the times people I cared for have needed me most I have yet to protect anyone. I am a failure, and worst yet I lost my best friend the first friend I made on my own! I feel as though I cannot do anything right! As though everyone expects what I touch to turn to gold, but in reality, everything I touch turns to ash."

Karui sat patiently and listened to everything he shared. Only interrupting to ask a brief question before listening intently again.

To Karui everything he said seemed honest and truthful. When she first heard, she was going to have to marry Naruto she thought he was going to be some kind of spoiled brat who was pampered by the village, if the now confirmed rumors of him having a personally security team was true. After hearing about his encounters and his mistake with his friend. For the first time all day appeared to be… human, normal.

Before when she met him at the council room and in Ichiraku she thought he was cold and calculating he was like a child protégé at being a clan head leagues above her mentally. He showed little to no emotion and all his movements seemed so natural and regal she thought he was the opposite of a spoiled brat but someone who thought every little thing through. Then seeing him happy with Kiba at the academy made her realize that he was able to relax and have fun like any other 7-year-old, but his swiftness back into his clan head persona after made her think that everything was an act. That maybe he was as she first thought that everything he did was planned and organized to gain advantage.

From what he explained it was partly true, each of his clones are created with a specific task, the task of his clone today, was to introduce, himself to her and get to know her, make sure she wasn't a spy or a threat to Konoha, while still attending school. So, the clone was designed to behave like a Noble in public and like he would at school the clone was just following its instruction to the letter.

This Naruto, the real Naruto was all of those things in one, he had sadness, anger, nobility, hurt, and happiness. Now from hearing his story she realized that he had a wide range of emotions like anyone else. He was just stuck in his grief for his mother and friend. She felt the urge to help him. Even though she just met him, for some reason her heart could not stand seeing this amazing boy how he was. She wanted to see the smile that he had on his face with Kiba on the real Naruto. She wanted to learn him and see all the unfiltered emotions that he was holding within him.

"I understand everything Naruto-kun, thank you for sharing with me so openly your history and struggles. Although I may not understand you at all, seeing you here now makes things easier for me. Since you shared your struggles with me, I'd like if you allow me to help you."

At this Naruto head looked up into Karui eyes, he had no idea what laying it all out on the table would do, in his mind the possibility of her being a spy from Kumogakure still lingered so all this information he gave her could be used to her advantage, but it was bound to come to light anyways. He had decided if she tried to blackmail him into anything he would just yield immediately to get things over with. Naruto just wanted to make sure that she heard everything from him and didn't have to pick up bits and pieces along the way. Call him naïve but he felt like he could trust Karui.

"How do you intend to do that Karui-chan?"

"Well, it seems obvious to me that your relationship with your friend Hinata is important so I will speak to her and see if the relationship is mendable or not." Karui said she thought this solution was pretty straightforward, if she could figure out whether the Hyuga girl hated Naruto or not maybe that would give him confidence to leave the compound and face her again.

Although she realized that talking with the Hyuga could be more problematic for her because it's obvious now why the Hyuga was glaring at her earlier today in school.

So, it wasn't because I am from Kumogakure but because of my relationship with Naruto? Interesting.

Karui thought if the Hyuga girl actually loved Naruto like she thought she did this would be the perfect solution, get Hinata to forgive Naruto, and boom Naruto no longer a shut-in problem solved.

"NO NO NO NO NOO NO NO NO NO NO NO No, please do not speak to Hinata on my behalf I cannot bare her hating me anymore than she already does!" Naruto had shot up and was moving frantically around.

If one thing was obvious to Karui it was that Naruto cared for the Hyuga girl. "Okay I won't speak to her on your behalf."

But that doesn't mean I can't speak to her on my own accord.

Hearing this Naruto calmed down before slouching on a futon he had in his room. Karui gigged he looked cute when he was so worked up, she started staring at Naruto taking in his toned figure, his cute whisker marks on his cheek he was quite handsome she found herself thinking for like the 5th time today.

"So, Naruto being a Jinchuriki how has your relationship with your tailed beast been like?"

Naruto was taken back by the question; Well I mean I did just tell her my life story but I honestly didn't expect her to be so understanding of me being a jinchuriki.

From what he understood from Jiraiya was that most jinchuriki were seen as monsters by their hidden village, so Naruto had expected that Karui would be terrified of him when he told her but she just nodded and continued listening to his story.

"Umm Kurama is pretty stubborn I haven't had much outside of one-sided conversation with him. He also has a nasty habit of giving me bad dreams and trying to influence my negative emotions. This last three months have been pretty rough on me, I'm actually glad I chose to become a recluse because it allowed me practice on dealing with those negative emotions. I actually didn't even find out his name from the 9 tails himself but from one of my mothers scrolls she spoke about him."

Karui nodded her head in understanding "Lord Bee is also a Jinchuriki although he doesn't talk about it too often I have heard that he said that the stronger the connection built between Jinchuriki and their tailed beast the stronger the shinobi can be, if that's true wait no regardless if that is true or not I want to help you any way I can Naruto-kun although our marriage is just political if I can be of any use to you don't hesitate to ask, as you said just because we were forced into this doesn't mean we can't make the best of this yes?"

Naruto was surprised this girl was too kind, he had deceived her by sending a clone in his stead and told her about his entire life to this point being a jinchuriki, breaking his best friend's heart and she was still saying that she would be by his side.

Smiling for the first time in what felt like months Naruto said, "Thank you Karui chan you're amazing."

Karui blushed turning her head away from Naruto, there it was that charming smile she saw earlier that made her heart race, she knew this feeling having had a crush on a pop idol when she was younger, this was the flames of a crush burning within in her.

"Don't worry about its Naruto-kun, we are soon to be husband and wife, so it is in my best interest to have you at your best, no?"

Naruto sighed "Really you're to understanding, you don't think I'm weird?"

Laughing Karui got up to sit next to him shaking her head "I will admit it's a little strange all that you can do but you being a jinchuriki makes sense so that explains the clones. You still are amazing Naruto-kun, I know you struggle to see it even not being a Jinchuriki having the respect of your shinobi council to the point you have a seat with them at this age is truly an amazing achievement. Although it is a bit unmanly to be hiding in your compound from a girl, I think it shows your deep care for your friends, the feeling of shame that led you to this point proves that to me. At first, I thought you to be cold and calculating but seeing you like this is so humanizing and endearing I find it hard to see you that way anymore. I think you pouring out everything to me shows that you're trying to trust me and give me an opportunity to save you from yourself which shows your humbleness and openness. You say that you're not a hero worthy of the praise you get I think with having that humbleness, shows that you could be exactly what everyone hopes you will become if you allow me to be your hero Naruto-kun and help you it'd bring me great joy, and allow me to get closer to you. It seems that you have been struggling on this path alone for too long, allow me to take some of your burden otherwise what are friends for?"

Naruto was speechless Karui got up from sitting next to him walking towards his door "I am going to go and see Omoi and Samui at the guest house, don't worry I'll ask one of your servants to come with me in case your sensei has arrived…. Also, I am glad to finally have met you like this Naruto-kun" Karui said giving him a warm smile over her shoulder that left Naruto stunned.

He watched her leave out his bedroom and had only one thought about Karui.

Enchanting.

3 Months Later

Summer in Konoha at the Hokage Tower.

Fugaku Uchiha sat on the opposite side of the Hokage's desk they had just finished Konoha's monthly security brief and were now discussing other matters.

"So, you believe that it is Danzo taking the missing Uchiha's sharingans for what purpose?" The hokage asked, if this was true it was a massive crime that could not be overlooked. Fugaku had been working tirelessly to find the culprit to these horrendous acts and he has finally brought to the hokage who he believed was the missing length.

All the evidence that had been provided to the Hokage by the Uchiha Clan head was compelling enough for serious investigation. They couldn't just bring it directly to Danzo though issuing that type of warrant they'd need at least one piece of indisputable evidence which they still were missing.

"His purpose is still unclear at this time Lord Hokage, but I am certain it is him, having had met with him a few times since me stating I wanted to be Hokage. His suspension to me has only grown. Like what exactly has he been hiding under her wrappings"

The Hokage took a puff of his cigar, he thought something was afloat so he is happy that he thought to use those two in this situation, apparently Fugaku request to be viewed as a hokage candidate was a twofold tactic, one he would be able to honestly go back to his clan and say that he has been attempting to put his name in the running to try to quell although from the sounds of it unsuccessfully their drive to have an Uchiha Hokage. It was also to bait Danzo into interacting with him so that Fugaku can ask him things in a less suspicious manner because Fugaku was investigating Danzo for the crimes of murdering and stealing Uchiha sharingans.

When Fugaku had appeared to the Hokage 3 months ago after the festival with this information the Hokage had felt bad about assigning the man's own son and clan member to spy on the clan head for him. But now they had cleared the air Fugaku had forgiven him immediately saying that he would have done similar in his position. Now the two were serious talking about how they would uproot the ROOT of their problems.

Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door, looking at his clock the Hokage realized he didn't have any more meeting schedule he wasn't sure who was arriving to speak with him. His secretary peeked her head through the door saying.

"Sorry to interrupt your meeting Lord Hokage and Lord Uchiha-sama. Lord Jiraiya-sama is here wishing to speak to you."

The hokage nodded telling the lady to send in her student.

He must have done something wrong because Jiraiya would normally never use the official method of requesting an audience with him, usually his student would just barge into his office as though he owned the place.

"Lord Hokage, would you like to continue this meeting another time?" Fugaku said preparing himself to exit so that the Hokage could speak freely to the sannin and his former student.

"No, it is quite alight for you to stay Fugaku-san we still have matters to discuss as well, let's just see what my student has to say."

They both watched as the tall white haired Sannin walked into the Hokage's office, he looked rough as though he has had trouble sleeping lately and the smell of alcohol was so potent that the two could smell it as soon as he walked in the room.

Drunkenly Jiraiya stumbled his way into the Hokage's office before sitting in an empty chair next to Fugaku tossing his feet on the desk before taking another long sip of sake.

"S-Sensei, I can't do it anymore he hates me!"

The hokage was confused for a moment before he put two and two together.

This must have something to do with Naruto!

"What did you do to Naruto!" The Hokage said trying to keep the anger out of his voice.

Fugaku was now curious as well what was going on.

"W-well I-I was just trynna teach him how cruel our world could be so, so I grabbed his mother Riri and fondled her breast!"

The Hokage was shocked WHAT?

Fugaku was also very confused, Naruto's mother was Kushina Uzumaki. Racking his brain Fugaku knew the name Rii. Rii Sarutobi was one of the servants offered to Naruto to take care and work on his upbringing. She was a servant so fondling her breast is not unnatural. Fugaku personally did not care that Izumi was a victim of Lord Jiraiya's lust, as was her duty to serve the Uzumaki-Namikaze household and their guest.

That's when it hit Fugaku almost immediately of course Naruto wouldn't appreciate someone he looked at as a sensei fondling someone he looked at as a mother figure.

"You what Jiraiya!" the hokage couldn't hide his anger and disappointment.

"Well, you know that the boy always calls his servants his mothers, and he had this pure and childish out look of the world. It reminded me of Minato, but Minato got out of that as soon as he saw the impacts of war and grew up, so I figured since I didn't want him to see death and the pain caused by lost I could show him another way, so I tried to force him into seeing things as they were by having Rii and Izumi strip for me in front of him 6 months ago, it was supposed to be a win win. I get to see their boobs and body and Naruto gets to see them as they are, but since that day he has forbidden me from entering the main family compound and only speaks to me during our training session, I know you wanted me to teach the boy and I have, but I fucked up sensei he still hasn't forgiven me worse is he pretty much has almost mastered Sage Jutsu so Jutsu wise there is nothing left for me to teach him outside of letting him have my summoning contract which the only reason he is going to sign it is because one of his dads scrolls asked him to. Otherwise, he said that I can take my summon contract and shove it up my asss." Jiraiya speech was slurring due to the amount of alcohol he was drinking.

The Hokage could tell his student was heartbroken about this, he hadn't seen Jiraiya this said sense Orochimaru left the village. Still his student messed up big time. That also explains why the Hokage hasn't seen from Naruto in 6 months outside of clan meetings, the boy would usually never go two weeks without seeing the Hokage. This was angering the Hokage did his student mess up his relationship with Naruto as well?

"Have you apologized to the boy" Fugaku asked "Sorry to interrupt Lord Hokage I am just concerned for Lord Naruto's mental state.

"It's okay Fugaku-san, ANSWER him JIRARIYA!" the hokage hissed.

"Of course, I apologized every single fucking day it usually goes something like this 'Hey Naruto how are you today' 'what are you teaching me' I say what I am teaching him then go to apologize and he always cuts me off saying 'I don't accept your apology' then he just goes about training like we didn't talk."

"It's obvious to me sensei that the boy doesn't want to be my pupil anymore so I can here to tell you I quit, after I have him show me his perfect sage and sign my summoning contract I won't teach him anymore, I imagine that he will have this done by his 8th birthday."

Both the Hokage and Fugaku were stunned saying at the same time almost the same thing

"You mean that he will be a perfect sage in a year?'

"He can do sage jutsu too?" Fugaku was appalled the strength of Lord Naruto was not that of a mere academy student, learning the rasengan was impressive but he had no problems letting the kid stay at the shinobi academy if that was his only stellar jutsu but once he learned sage mode, he would be on par with the hokage himself!

"Oh yea the kid will learn it for sure before his 8th birthday, he is supper motivated for it because he can't open one of his mother's scrolls until he has the toad summoning contract which delays him in opening his father's scrolls which he seems to enjoy a lot because his father shares a lot with him within each scroll he unlocks, it's really wonderful how the two of them manage to make such complex scrolls to teach him as he grew up. All the heavy stuff seems to be in line with his entrance into the shinobi academy, they just couldn't predict that one the academy would start a year earlier than when they were alive, and the amount of natural talent Naruto has. I selfishly delayed having him sign my toad contract till he learned sage mode in hopes of repairing our relationship during that time, but that isn't going to happen..." Jiraiya trailed off sadly.

The hokage was thinking outside of the issue with Jiraiya Naruto's training has been going exceptionally well up to this point the Hokage was proud of his student teaching ability. He never pulled this stuff with Minato so why be so brash and naïve now?

What's done is done now I need to find a successor to Jiraiya for Naruto's sensei.

"What's worse is the fact that the boy hasn't left his clan compound outside of training in 6 months, ever since that day he uses shadow clones to do everything!"

This surprised both the Hokage and Fugaku because they have seen Naruto show up to the shinobi council meetings in person, he hasn't missed one since he was given his chair.

Fugaku spoke "What do you mean Lord Jiraiya we both have seen the boy attended the shinobi council meetings in person. Are you saying that those were a shadow clone?"

"That's exactly what I am saying, the boy hasn't attended the shinobi academy or any council meeting he just sends a clone in his stead. He doesn't talk to anyone, but his mothers and Karui I fear that his already limited social interactions that this reclusively will make him even more socially inept!"

This was surprising to both shinobi present that means for months Naruto had been deceiving everyone, Fugaku chuckled loudly.

"Quite impressive"

"It would be FFugaku if It wasn't my fault, he became a recluse!" Jiraiya sad sadly stuttered due to his drunkenness.

The Hokage remained quiet he couldn't punish Naruto for sending a shadow clone to the meetings, in truth he had done so one or two times in the past and there weren't any rules against it although it could be seen as rude to the rest of the clan heads. What concerned the Hokage more was the mental wellbeing of the boy he looked at as a grandson. Thinking about what Jiraiya did made his blood boil. Although he understood Jiraiya's intention his execution was so bad it was appalling, and this needed to be handled immediately

"I'm afraid this is my fault."

Both Jiraiya and Fugaku were curious how the Hokage came to that conclusion this had nothing to do with him. It was obvious to both of them who was really at fault here.

"Jiraiya, since you were a young boy, you have been a bold pervert. As your sensei I apologize for not correcting you sooner. At the time I was so caught up in being hokage fighting in the 2nd shinobi war I never corrected the behavior, so you grew up thinking that it is acceptable. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Due to your unfathomable lust you have hurt a boy I look at as my grandchild, a boy that was in trusted to us by Minato Namikaze the greatest shinobi we have seen since the 1st hokage. AND YOUR STUDENT! What you did you should carry that shame for the rest of your life, I accept your resonation and this failure will be a stain on your legacy you disappoint me. As punishment you are now banned from being within 200 yards of any bath house in the land of fire. You will go back to your duties working on your spy network and your pay for instructing Naruto is revoked from this moment. You will also pay a 150,000 ryo fine for sexually assaulting a Naruto-kuns property."

Jiraiya felt his heart pang at the Hokage's harsh words, knowing you disappointed someone you cared about so much was bring Jiraiya to tears, but this was only a quarter of the pain he caused Naruto. The fine was also a very steep fine, one he no doubt received because of who he offended. 150,000 was more than the yearly salary of an experienced Jonin, although he wasn't hurting for money it was still a very costly fine.

"Lord Hokage if you allow me to speak freely, I have something to say."

The hokage gestured to Fugaku signaling that he would allow the man to speak.

"If the Hokage is looking for a new instructor for Lord Naruto I would like to suggest myself or my son Itachi. Itachi as you know is very capable shinobi, but outside of that Lord Jiraiya mentioned that he is worried that Naruto will remain socially inept although Itachi is a well-known introvert so admittedly, he may not be the best option to get Naruto from being reclusive, but he has a brilliant mind and is kindhearted. I believe he is the perfect candidate to instruct Naruto in the ways of behaving like a shinobi both on and off the battlefield. They are only a few years apart as well so having a superior like Itachi would greatly benefit Lord Naruto."

The hokage thought for a second the Fugaku was amongst the first people to offer his clan into service for the sake of Naruto. Not wanting Naruto to have too much influence by one clan he they had started the newly named 'Fire Foxes' who were Naruto's personal protection detail. Itachi was a wonderful candidate for Naruto's next instructor, the fire foxes would be responsible for Naruto's protection until he graduated the academy. Itachi was a captain within the Fire Foxes so it was a perfect fit, the hokage just worried that Naruto would be able to devolve Itachi's identity as a member of the unit, but was that such a bad thing?

"I accept your proposition Fugaku, partly because your well thought out decision and partly as recompense for my actions towards you, this must remain a secret though from the rest of the clans, I as Hokage have already stated that I didn't want Naruto to be too heavily influenced by one clan so going behind the shinobi councils back like this is a grave sin as hokage. Since we have to hide this connection between your clan and Naruto for now, we need to have an official primary face as Naruto's instructor someone who can be trusted not to lead him down a path of evil or sorrow." The Hokage said glaring at his former student.

"Now who can fill that role?" The hokage thought out loud.

"It would have to be someone strong as a legendary sannin. Someone who isn't heavily affiliated with the current powerhouse clans of Konoha." Fugaku said as well thinking deeply if there was any shinobi like that.

"If you allow me to have one more input into Lord Naruto-sama's life Hokage-sama" Jiraiya asked.

"Speak."

"What about Tsunade, she is a member of the Sannin, has only affiliation to the Senju and Sarutobi clan as well as the Uzumaki. She is basically a distant relative of Naruto. She has written him as well so they both are aware of each other. We all know of her accolades, although since Lord Hokage assigned me as Naruto instructor, it was Tsunade who I asked to take over my spy network while I focused on the boy, she would no doubt make a perfect primary instructor for Naruto."

Both Fugaku and The Hokage looked at each other

"Tsunade aha, yes, my other student. She is perfect, prepare Naruto for a journey to travel with you to locate Tsunade and bring her back to the village, although I know that this place has a lot of bad memories for her I think upon meeting Naruto in person and hearing what you have done this will be enough to bring her back… hopefully… Good choice Jiraiya, Fugaku-san I would also like you to tell Itachi that he will be a part of this escort mission to find Tsunade, I don't need to tell you that this is going to be a top secret S ranked assignment Naruto leaving this village is a matter of Konoha national security, but I have faith that the Fire foxes along with you, Itachi-san and Tsunade-chan will be enough for this. Jiraiya you are dismissed I expect your fine to be paid by next month."

Jiraiya got up taking a bow before he left to go and speak to Naruto.

Inside the Uzumaki-Namikaze clan compound

Naruto was huffing and puffing after completing the seal.

"No way is this just an introduction to the Uzumaki chains."

"To my beloved son, you should be reading this at the age of 9 having started the shinobi academy, I am proud that you have decided to serve your village as I and your father have done before you, these next set of scrolls will challenge all the knowledge that you have gained so far. Most people know this much about our clans secret ninjutsu what they aren't aware of is that these chains are not just made of chakra but also have the ability to absorb chakra and create A barrier that can be erected between two or more sealing chains, which is quite impregnable. In order to summon just one chain takes incredible strength, in my glory days I could make a chain consisting of 1000 links my wish is for you to be able to destroy this record. Once you have successful drawn this seal on a piece of scroll paper and can call forth one single complete link of chakra chains, you are then to have that symbol tattooed on to your body. This symbol has been passed down by the main family of the Uzumaki clan for generations, it allows us to have quicker access to our chains without the need of hand signs. Naruto had blacked out attempting to push chakra into the scroll his first attempt at summoning the adamantine chains. It was extremely chakra draining even more so than the shadow clones he made, showing him that his was truly his Uzumaki clans' secret technique. He hadn't even managed to make any sort of progress.

Smiling to himself as he laid on the ground exhausted from his training, he thought about his mother's scroll he could feel the love for him in the writing within the scroll he loved opening these scrolls from his parents allowing him to get a glimpse of their personalities each time. They also tried to teach him life lessons along the way.

"I love you Mother."

"So, what was in this scroll Naruto-kun" Karui had managed to sneak up on him. She walked to his favorite training area within his clans' compound in search of him. It was about 3 pm in Konoha and Karui had gotten use to Naruto schedule. Although for the remainder of the school year she hadn't been able to convince him to leave his clans compound outside a few occasions she was able to slowly peel layers back with his former best friend the Hyuga Hinata. After being enrolled officially into the shinobi academy her first day back was interesting the entire class wasn't as wary of her as the rest of the school. She thanked Naruto and his clone's foresight in having her introduce herself independently from the Hokage's announcement. It really did help change their classmate's perspective of her. Now three months later they were on summer vacation, next year would be technically their first year in the academies official training program so they would learn basic ninjutsu and taijutsu which their entire class, but the Nara clan heir seemed excited about.

Little did her classmates outside of Hinata and her know that they had a classmate that was well beyond such basic practices he was by far their number one student, and he didn't even attend any of the classes in person for the last half of the school year!

"Aha this one is the one Karui! My mother has officially started my training on the Uzumaki secret ninjutsu. And my father's next scroll won't open unless I master this jutsu. My mother still is persisting on studying the fuinjutsu within the toad summoning contract apparently it is helpful in understanding this symbol" Naruto said picking up the scroll he was practicing showing Karui the symbol he had drawn which was an exact replica of the symbol shown within his mother's scroll.

Karui looked at the symbol inquisitively as usual she had no idea such a beautiful and complex seal symbol could be drawn with the permission of Naruto and his help, she had also been training in various areas which included fuinjutsu, but the difference between their powers was very apparent to her the first time they spared. She had been completely obliterated by just 5 of Naruto's clones everything from his taijutsu to his powerful ninjutsu techniques to his knowledge of fuinjutsu and his fighting style with that was unique to her and overpowering. Even her being proficient in her clans' secret ninjutsu the thunder fist was not enough for her to hang with Naruto in training. It was what she had expected with him being who he was but the difference between them was freighting, she wasn't sure if he was an accurate representation of the power level the rest of their class had but she knew if she worked hard so she could at least withstand an assault from 10 Naruto clones she would be amongst the strongest in their class.

She would have been amongst the top 5 shinobi candidates in Kumogakure, but here she feels as though she is constantly surrounded by pure geniuses.

"As usual I have never seen such a beautifully complex seal before. You and your clans fuinjutsu knowledge and skill continues to amaze me Naruto-kun"

"Thanks, kauri-chan but I'm at a dilemma I can't even form one link of this chain my mother is trying to teach me about, maybe I'm missing something?"

Naruto sat up and began to think, every time he pumped his chakra into the seal it would glow but then nothing else would happen, he had just been pumping and funneling chakra into the symbol in hopes that the chain link would form, and he hadn't been thinking of anything else. Then it hit him his mom had always said that fuinjutsu was only limited to the amount of chakra a person had and their imagination, long as you knew the symbology and had the natural talent to put the symbols on to your vice and had enough chakra to do what you wished your possibilities were endless.

Maybe I need to be more creative with my imagine of my chains!

Sitting up he politely asked Karui to hand him the scroll once again,

I have enough chakra to try one more time.

Naruto began pumping his chakra into the symbol on the scroll, I need to focus my mind on the type of chain I want.

He thought about the different types of chains he had seen and chose a simple bike chain focusing on the image of the bike chain in his mind he noticed that something began to form from the scroll.

At first it just looked like a whirling wind of chakra but faintly Naruto managed to barely make out the image of a bike chain link! Just as quickly as the blurry chakra chain formed it dissipated before he ran out of energy to maintain the flow of chakra into the scroll.

He laid back down on the ground huffing and puffing trying to catch his breath before a small smile on his face turned into a huge grin and he started laughing out loud.

"YES! That was almost successful, so I just need to have a solid image of my chain in order to form it right Mother! "

Karui just watched with a small smile on her face, she loved seeing this happy Naruto, although she hadn't managed to get him to leave his compound and come to school, because he was still deathly afraid of seeing Hinata face to face. At least his face no longer had that look of sadness she had seen when she first met him three months ago.

"So that was a successful attempt, yes?"

"You didn't see it?" Naruto asked puzzled "I know it was really obscure and blurry, but you didn't see the chakra form into a bike chain link almost?"

Karui shook her head indicating that she didn't see what Naruto had seen, to her it just looked like his chakra was moving about uncontrollably she couldn't make out any chain from the chakra above the symbol.

Sighing Naruto cursed under his breath. "Hey, I got an idea, let's go to a weapons shop so I can get a better idea chains used by shinobi! Maybe it will help with my mental imaging!"

"Sure!"

Getting up Naruto led them inside his main family house, Karui had decided to occupy one of the vacant rooms that was just two doors down from his room, he had told her that she was more than welcome to stay in the main family house or take any house she wanted, but she had been adamant on staying close to him. Saying she'd get lonely otherwise having a whole compound meant for a family of 50 to herself. Naruto understood and didn't really question her decision further.

"Okay let's shower first then I'll meet you at the gates!" Naruto told her Karui agreed, and they went into their rooms to shower and change before going out.

Naruto was the first one done, and he was waiting at his at the gates of his clans' compound with Uchiha-kaa, and his Hyuga-kaa. Naruto was thinking and reflecting on the past three months, since day one Karui has been a great friend for him, she even manages to get him to leave the compound every once in a while like this. Although this time was his idea and the first time in 6 months, he was willingly leaving his clans compound by his own accord. She had convinced him a few times to take her out into the village himself and not with a clone. He was enjoying having her around and was really growing fond of her she truly was a friend to him.

She had kept her word too at the Academy she didn't speak to Hinata on his behalf although she did move seats to sit next to the Hyuga much to both his and Hinata's dislike. He watched her work relentlessly for three months to gain favor with Hinata to no avail. Hinata would always politely decline her invitations for them to do anything together outside of school. Surprisingly well unsurprisingly Karui was very stubborn and persistent she didn't let Hinata's constant denial get to her it seemed to motivate her more. She assured him that she wasn't just doing it for him but that she genuinely wanted to speak to the girl and get to know more about her since Naruto thought so highly of her.

Karui was indeed a bit strange, but Naruto was extremely grateful for her kindness and persistence although he had a hunch that she was doing this for him, he couldn't stop her if she was being so adamant about her genuinely wanting a friend like Hinata. He couldn't blame her either Hinata was the perfect friend before he ruined their relationship. He was sad to see that Hinata seemed to be holding people at arm's reach. One thing he didn't like that was taking place more frequently the last third of the school year was the apparent interest Sasuke Uchiha had in Hinata.

He had re-watched and re-thought through the memories of his clone, almost every other day the Uchiha would approach Hinata and talk to her, sometimes Naruto watched the conversations, and they were very brief to his relief and other times he watched them talk for 10-15 minutes about who knows what before the conversation would end. It pained him the first time he saw the Uchiha make Hinata smile. She hadn't shown that expression at school since he ended their friendship so the first time, he saw her smile he had a mix of emotions happy she was happy in the moment and sad that it was not him anymore who made her smile.

"Ready to go Naruto-kun?"

Karui had managed to sneak up to him again standing in front of him with a concerned expression probably do the scowl he had on his face thinking about the Uchiha and Hinata.

"Yes of course" Naruto said turning to lead their group out and into the village.

Karui still wasn't used to all the eyes that would immediately be on them as soon as they left the privacy of the Uzumaki-Namikaze compound. It was still hard for her to imagine that this is how Naruto grew up his whole life under constant scrutiny.

They are probably part of the reason Naruto feels such deep emotions, knowing that he is constantly under these types of looks.

She thought having met another pair of eyes watching them as they walked down the street. She subconsciously distanced herself from Naruto not thinking about it. So, she went from walking next to him to behind him trying to distance herself from the spotlight that was Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze.

She felt a gentle hand touch her shoulder before realizing that she had distanced herself a few feet behind Naruto, so she was now walking with his two servants/mothers Izumi and Chi.

Chi had placed a soft caring hand on her shoulder whispering so only the three of them would hear.

"I know there is a lot of eyes on you Lady Karui, but as his fiancé only you have the honor to walk beside him equally. Do not feel ashamed of yourself for any reason. You will make a fine Lady my lady, so please don't demote yourself to our position." Chi said softly to her.

Karui nodded understanding, she was so impressed by his mother's each one of them work diligently every day not just for her but for Naruto as well. Chi and Izumi were especially kind and understanding to her.

I guess having had to walk alongside Naruto for years they have gotten use to the looks as well.

"Thank you, Chi-san," Chi smiled before bowing respectfully.

"Anytime my lady."

Karui quicken here pace so she left the sides of the servants behind Naruto and could walk next to him. When she caught up to him, she could see that he was still deep in thought and that he was just on Autopilot leading them to the nearest weapons shop.

Sighing she figured he was probably thinking about his former friend Hinata. She had had no luck in lowering the girls defense for the three months she was at the shinobi academy before their summer vacation. She really didn't know much about the Hyuga outside of anything Naruto told her. Her attempts to invite the girl out was also politely declined. Hinata reminded her of what she thought Naruto was back in their first conversation at Ichiraku. She seemed cold and quiet and distant she rarely expressed any emotions during school and carried herself like a clan head and a princess all the time. There were no noticeable cracks in her armor and the only time she saw Hinata smile was while talking to the Uchiha one day in the lunch line. Karui and Naruto both saw this, Naruto's clone was sad and grumpy for the rest of the day and Karui tried unsuccessfully to see what the two conversation was about. Karui would often still catch Hinata looking at Naruto a different points in the day. Every time Karui would mention Naruto to her she would just say something super polite and political such as "It would be distasteful of me so I cannot speak on your fiancé so freely" or "It is not my place to speak upon your promised one. Only you have the honor of speaking of him so openly"

Karui sighed looking up to Naruto again his face still had that pained thoughtful expression.

Yep, definitely thinking about Hinata.

Karui couldn't help but feel a little jealous at the connection the two shared. At least to her it was obvious that the two were close, in these three months she thought that her and Naruto were also in the process of building a special bond, but she knew that they still were nowhere close to the relationship that he had with Hinata.

Sighing again she remembered her promise to be his 'personal hero' blushing she wasn't sure what made her feel so compelled to help Naruto the first time they met. It was probably his sad face it just didn't belong on such a handsome boy.

She grabbed one of Naruto's arms interlocking it with hers before leaning on to his shoulder. This seemed to stir Naruto from his thoughts as he looked over to her. She hit him with her warm flirtatious smile that made him blush cutely. She watched that blush form and the butterflies in her stomach fluttered at the sight.

"Are you cold Karui-chan?"

Shaking her head, no she replied "I just wanted to remind you that there was still one person here for you, and even if you try to push me away like you did Hinata-chan I'm not going anywhere! Me and you we are locked in pal just like our arms! Plus, if our relationship fails our villages go to war so that's extra motivation, no?"

She said pulling their interlocked arms so he would walk closer to her. Naruto blushed heavier turning to look away from Karui, the girl could read him like a book, and it was scary and remind him of Hinata and how well she used to be in tune with how he felt. He wondered briefly if all clan heiresses were good at reading people like those two.

Karui and him made small talk before arriving to their destination a popular weapon shop in Konoha. It was known by all the shinobi of the village and a lot of them either bought sold or had their weapons maintained at this shop of one of its other smaller locations in Konoha.

Entering Naruto was immediately greeted by a young girl a few years older than him, one that he knew of as the shop owner's daughter Tenten.

Immediately upon seeing him Tenten's eyes shot open before she gave him a deep respectful bow.

"Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze sama, and Lady Karui sama your presence is greatly appreciated, what can I do for you today?"

Naruto kindly returned her bow before saying "I'd like to see all the chains you have available here."

Tenten nodded her head in understanding, she quickly got up and walked over to Naruto and his three companies before politely squeezing past him so she could lock her shop door and flip the open sign to close.

Naruto noticed this as well as Karui before he could ask Karui beat him to the punch. She had a knack of knowing what he'd say or do and doing it for him, she always rubbed it off as her duty as a clan heads wife to be attentive. He would then remind her that their marriage is just political, and she didn't have to do such things, but she would either punch him in the arm and change the subject or just ignore his statement.

"Why did you close the shop? Is it lunch time would you like us to come back later."

Tenten frantically shook her head waving her arms at the same time expressing that that was not her intention at all.

"No, Lady Karui-sama it is not my lunch time, you all actually came at a perfect time seeing as though I have no other customers right now, just with Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze and his fiancé, blessing my fathers' shop with their presence I'm sure there were plenty of people who witnessed you two come in here. I did not want your shopping to be interrupted or my assistance to be limited because other customers. So, our shop and my assistance are at your full disposal!" She said bowing again respectfully.

Karui turned to look at Naruto to see if this was acceptable for him or not.

"Are you sure Tenten-chan I wouldn't want to be the reason that you lose out on customers." Naruto said.

"Of course, my father would ring my neck if he found out I didn't at least do this for you Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze sama. Trust me we may lose out on a few customers but once word comes that you have visited our shop. We will make up those sells by three."

Nodding Naruto turned to look at the wares within the shop.

"You said you were looking for chains right Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze sama, we have various types of chains here, most are for connecting two weapons together, is that along the lines of what you're looking for?"

Naruto shook his head, Karui took the opportunity of Naruto talking to the shop keeper to look around the store for suitable weaponry.

"No, I actually am not quite sure what type of chains I'm looking for but I know it's not something that would be used for connecting weapons."

Tenten nodded her head in understanding she would need more information before she would show Naruto what her store had to offer.

"Could you tell me your ideal chain then?"

Thinking to himself Naruto thought what he would want to use his chains for, his mother said that they were commonly used as ways of holding things so he wanted to see a chain that was atleast capable of that but he figured that was the basic use of any chain.

"Well, I want a chain that obviously can hold things down, but my ideal chain should be able to be used both offensively and defensively I'd like the chain itself to be a formidable weapon, maybe having the ability to slice and or pierce the person I'm holding if they struggle."

Tenten thought deeply about what he said she knew for a fact they currently didn't have such weaponry in their arsenal, she also has never heard of a chain in existence that had such qualities as Lord Naruto describe. Thinking as she walked back behind her counter to her notebook, she grabbed it and a pencil. She started by writing the qualities Naruto had asked for at the top of the page, so her imagination didn't have her create something that was not what he wanted.

"I'm sorry Lord Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze sama, we currently don't have what you're looking for but maybe take a look at these."

Tenten had managed to draw a link of chains the tips of the chains had the same look as a kunai whereas the chain itself was a serious of thick chain links with sharp spikes 4 spikes per link in between each link was a small ball before the next chain link would start. Naruto was amazed it was perfect and all Tenten needed was his idea and thirty seconds to draw it.

"This is a pretty rough idea but it's feasible, the daggers at the tip will make throwing the chain or swinging it very offensive, the balls between each link with mastery and hard training will allow you to have a lot more control of the chain, also there are spikes on the edges of the links so if it wraps around someone it will cut and sink into their skin making some nasty wounds if the struggle or you tug the chain."

"This is amazing Tenten-chan these are exactly what I'd want!"

Tenten blushed at the compliment and her red face didn't slip pass the two servants who just looked at each other knowingly.

"I'm glad you like them Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze sama"

"How much for this drawing?" Naruto asked he was sure as long as he could stare at this, he could use this as the bases of his own chakra chains!

Tenten was taking off guard by his question "Umm the drawing my Lord? I'm sorry I'm confused."

It was Naruto's turn to be confused was her drawing not for sell "This picture of my ideal chains how much would you sell this to me for?"

"You want the drawing of the chain and not the actual chain?"

"I thought you said you didn't have any chains like the one I described. "

At this Tenten finally understood, she was surprised by Lord Naruto graciousness that he would just be willing to buy her model of the chain. "I wouldn't dare sell this to you for money Lord Naruto sama, I assumed that if you liked my design, you would have me forge this weapon for you."

Naruto was shocked she could make weaponry like this.

"You could make this for me?"

"Of course, I could My Lord." Tenten said with a smile

"Yo that's awesome Tenten-chan, please can you do that it would be much better if I could hold and feel the chains with my own hands!" Naruto excitedly had grabbed her by the shoulders pulling her close to his face looking her dead in her eyes.

Tenten was flushed red at the interaction the most famous person in her generation was in her shop blasting her with compliments and touching her while looking at her so determinedly he was so intense and handsome in the moment. Her knees were becoming weak.

Their moment was interrupted by a knock on the door Tenten stood on her toes to look at who dared interrupt such a precious moment. She saw Neji-kun peering his head into the see through window.

"Excuse me Lord Uzumaki Namikaze sama, allow me to get the door."

"Of course," Naruto said blushing slightly as he realized just how close he was to the girls face.

Tenten walked over to the door her face still bright red when she cracked the door open to peek her head through to talk to Neji.

"Neji-kun hello how may I help you."

Neji looked at Tenten her face was flushed red, so he thought maybe she was sick so that's why the store was closed early, although her voice didn't appear to have a weak tone to it like a sickly person. Tenten was in his class, so they were both very familiar with each other and he frequently came to her shop. Admittedly just to see her outside of class.

"Uh- I was wondering if my kunai that I requested to be sharpened were ready for pick up."

Tenten had completely forgot that Neji had requested her to sharpen some of his dull kunai. He had even paid her in advance for it saying he trusted her work.

"Aha, yes sorry, they are ready please wait her while I retrieve them." She said trying to close the door, but Neji fit his foot in the crack which didn't allow her to close it she opened the door wider to relieve the pressure on his foot.

"What is it Neji-kun?" she asked wondering why he was stopping her from closing the shop door.

Without saying a word, he put a light hand on her forehead which made Tenten blush so red Neji quickly noticed "Are you ill? What is the reason for the shops early closer?"

Tenten's head was spinning first Lord Naruto visited her shop now her crush was touching her head like this she had to be dreaming. "i-I-I am not ill Neji-kun"

"Then why the early closure?" Neji asked his worried tone made Tenten's heart flutter.

"I-I have an important guest here currently."

This baffled Neji who was important enough to make the most famous weaponry shop in Konoha close their main store during rush hour? The Hokage?

"Is it Lord Hokage?"

Tenten just shook her head still blushing mad red.

"HEY NARUTO-KUN check this sword out!" Karui could be heard in the shop by both Tenten and Neji.

Neji realizing that the important person must have been Naruto, he looked at Tenten face and she was looking down and away from him as though she was ashamed that he found out about their secret meeting. Neji felt his heart shatter at the look.

He remembered her flustered face when she came to the door, what had they been doing before he interrupted them?

He felt the jealousy burning in the pit of his stomach, finally removing his hand from Tenten. He looked her dead in the eyes.

"I-I see sorry for my intrusion I will come by some other time for my kunai" he said before turning and walking away swiftly

Tenten saw the look of anger on his face before leaving, she is 1000 percent sure that her crush just got the wrong idea of what was going on.

"Wait Neji-kun!" She called out after the Hyuga but if he heard her, he didn't turn around.

Sighing sadly, she closed the shop door locking it before turning to find Naruto and Karui, the two of them had made their way over to the sword section of her shop and Karui was currently asking Naruto what he thought about the sword she pulled out.

"It looks really reliable Karui-chan."

"That it is Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze sama, that is actually the first sword I ever made, its blade is made of a very rare metal that is excellent in conducting chakra, making it the perfect weapon to infuse chakra into, and its hilt is made of soft silk and can be molded to fit its owners hand perfectly, the only reason it hasn't been sold yet is probably due to the price, I haven't lowered the price since it was my very first sword made."

Naruto nodded in understanding than too a look at the price tag 200,000 ryo was defiantly way more expensive than market price, most swords cost anywhere from 70-120 ryo so this was defiantly on the more expensive side.

"I love it wait 200,000 ryo how the fuck am I supposed to afford that!" Karui was broken hearted when she first saw the sword it was as if it had called out to her specifically begging for her to buy it but 200,000 ryo was way more than she could afford that was all the money she was given by her father to come here with. Thanks to Naruto though she had had to spend a single ryo since arriving, but it would be poor financial skills to waste all her money on this sword.

Tenten sighed she figured the price is what was scaring people away from buying the sword, but she just couldn't allow herself to lower the price since she had a special attachment to it.

"Yes, lady Karui most people see the price of the sword and put it back instantly."

Naruto sighed looking at how sad Karui was at finding out the price of the sword, 200,000 ryo was more than a Jonin would make in a single year so basically most people would never be able to afford this sword.

"Do you really want it Karui-chan" Just by looking at her face he could tell she wanted it but immediately upon seeing Naruto looking at her with concern she knew where this was going.

"No, you cannot buy this for me Naruto-kun!"

Naruto was shocked how did she know that he was intending on buying it for her "I never said I was" he bluffed knowing he had every intention on doing just that

Karui huffed out "I saw that look in your eyes Naruto-kun I cannot allow you to buy this I would be in your debt for years!"

"No, I want to buy it as thanks for all you have done for me think of it as a wedding gift!" Naruto said.

"You already gave me my wedding gift remember!"

Karui challenged Naruto knew she was referring to having her Hekisan clan traditions and history embedded into his new clan's doctrine which he still hadn't taken to the council yet.

"That was a shitty wedding gift, and you know it! I'm getting this for you!"

"I said No I will never be able to repay it!"

"But I want to do it for you!"

"That's not fair. You know I'm a sucker for charming don't try to be charming!"

Tenten couldn't help but laugh at the two a lot of rumors were going around the village that these two's, marriage was nothing but a hoax, but they seemed to be genuinely enjoying each other's company. Her mind briefly flashed to Neji and his angry look before getting taken out her thoughts at her two esteemed guest staring at her curiously, she realized that she had laughed at them and that that could be seen as deeply offensive a civilian like her laughing at the actions of royalty.

Deeply bowing she begged for forgiveness "I'm sorry just seeing you to bickering like that remind me of an old marry couple apologize for my rudeness:"

At this both Naruto and Karui were blushing and turned away from each other putting a little distance between the two that had been closed during their argument.

"It's okay Tenten-chan please let me buy this and tell me more about the chains you would be able to make for me." Taking the sword from Naruto and walking back to her register while talking she said

"So, the chain would be made exactly like the design is all I need is to gather the materials and get your approval to start production."

Naruto shook his head understandable before thinking about the sword and its material then an idea stuck him.

"Is it possible to use the same material that was used for the blade of the sword for my chains?"

Tenten thought briefly before saying "it is possible but depending on how long you want the chain to be could dramatically increase the cost.

Naruto nodded "I want the chain to be able to wrap around my shoulder and all the way down my torso to my beltline how many links do you think that would be?"

Grabbing a measuring tape Tenten took some quick measurements.

"At your current size it takes maybe 1,000 links of chains"

"And how much would that be?"

Tenten pulled out a calculator "Calculating the cost of work and the materials required, roughly 400,000 thousand ryo. Not to mention if you grow and want to keep the same functionality you would have to come in for adjustments but with a discount, I can sell this for you for 320,000 and all repairs and adjustments will be on the house."

It was a great deal even Naruto knew tis "I couldn't accept this Tenten-chan that is too generous."

"Don't worry about its Lord Uzumaki Namikaze sama consider this a wedding gift from me and my father to the two of you do we have a deal?"

"Yes, we have a deal"

"Great I will need a few more details from you such as, your preferred weight, coloring of the steel, etc."

With that Tenten and Naruto spoke for 30 more minutes to prefect the perfect design for his ideal chain.
