Chapter 6: Keep Holding On

"Celeste, stop this now!" A human woman yelled, as she stood there, next to Tim. She was somehow not affected by the mind control. She had black, wavy hair, and blue eyes. She wore a white lab coat, a red skirt, and blue shoes with a tiny bow on each shoe. "No, I will not." The white feline angrily replied to the woman. "How are you not affected?" Vicki asked the woman. "She did not mind control me. She felt it wasn't necessary since I am her creator." The woman explained. "You are?" The mauve creature said, surprised. "Yes. My name is Professor Zelda Sakura. I'm a scientist specializing in Pokemon genetics. I am also the second professor of the Kanto region, other than Professor Oak, who is a good friend of mine." Zelda explained, as she stood there. "Why are you here and not in Kanto, then?" Vicki asked. "I came to Ryme City, to try to stop my daughter from assisting Giovanni in his plans." The scientist explained, to Vicki.

Vicki flew over to the large group of people, and began using her powers to free them from the mind control. Celeste, noticing what she was attempting to do, hit her with a beam of psychic energy. The mauve feline quickly used her powers to heal herself, surrounding herself with a white glow. Her wounds vanished, as did the glowing light of her power. The people who had been freed from the mind control, quickly ran off in fear, upon noticing the two felines fighting in the sky. But the rest, who had not been freed, continued walking, while eerily chanting, "All hail Giovanni!" which really creeped Vicki out. Vicki and the female creature were both charging up their psychic attacks, preparing to fight again. "Stop!" Tim yelled, preparing to run in front of them.

But, he was quickly stopped by the male feline, who used his psychic powers to pull Tim away from the fight. "Do not ever do that again. Had you ran in front of their attacks, the intensity of the psychic energy would have turned you to stone, as you are human, and not capable of withstanding it." The psychic explained calmly, to the bewildered man, as they landed on the ground. "You've seen that before?!" He panicked. "1 time. That time, it was that 10 year old I mentioned, Ash. He ran in front of my fight with Mew, and was turned into stone as a result." Tim looked horrified as he learned of this. Sounds of Vicki and Celeste's fight could be heard nearby. "What happened to him?" Tim asked, a bit concerned for the kid, Ash's safety.

"He was somehow healed by the tears of the pokemon there, restoring him back to normal. He is doing well, but strangely, he has not aged at all, despite several years passing by." The creature explained, as he stood there, looking up at the two felines fighting in the sky. "That's good and all. But, shouldn't you stop them?" Tim asked, pointing towards Celeste and Vicki as they continued battling it out. The feline shook his head. "No. They're both as powerful as I am. I'm not getting in the middle of that." The purple psychic stated. "Why? Are you scared to lose to Celeste?" Tim teased him, with a smirk. The male alien-cat glared at him. "I assure you, I could easily win against her, if I wanted to." The pokemon replied, in an annoyed tone. "Prove it." Tim told him, still smirking. "Fine, but only so I don't have to see that annoying smirk on your face." The creature explained, as he levitated himself above the ground.

Rushing through the city skies, the purple feline quickly approached the two females. Meanwhile, Giovanni was sitting there, on the ground, watching them fight. Tim and Zelda exchanged worried glances, as they continued watching the fight. The white feline stopped her attack, as she noticed Mewtwo approaching. She glared at him. Try as she might, she could find no reason to be angry at him. "Fight me instead, Celeste." The creature told her, as he floated close to her. Celeste could feel her psychic energy building up inside her, as she prepared to shoot out a powerful attack. Vicki quickly avoided the attack, and flew down, landing beside Tim and Zelda.

The male feline blocked the attack, putting up a barrier with his powers to prevent it from hitting him. As soon as the barrier vanished, the creature lunged at Celeste, hitting her hard with a Shadow Ball attack. The impact of the attack, caused her to nearly crash into a building. But, she quickly used her powers to slow the speed at which she was hurtling towards it. However, she still did have several wounds from the attack itself. She felt the pain of her injuries, but she was determined to win against him. "I refuse to lose to you." She stated, confidently. "We'll see about that." Mewtwo replied, as he floated closer to her. Giovanni got bored of watching their fight, and walked away into the city.

She charged up another beam of psychic energy, hitting the male feline with it. He crashed right into a building, crushing several windows, and potentially harming the people inside. He quickly flew back to where Celeste was. Yet another blast of psychic energy was unleashed from him, as he attacked her. She screamed in agony, as this only heightened the pain she was already feeling from her injuries, which were pretty severe. "Ready to give up yet?" Mewtwo asked, not wishing to see her get hurt any longer. "Never." The white feline replied, as she launched yet another move at him. He avoided it, yet again shielding himself using his powers.

Celeste was gradually becoming weaker. Her eyes widened, as she saw him about to attack again. Due to her weakened state, she could not form a psychic barrier in time, to avoid it. With that one last attack, her strength faded. Suddenly, her eyes closed, as she began to lose consciousness. Her body had gone limp, as she began falling to the ground. She crashed hard onto the ground. "Celeste!" Zelda yelled, rushing over. She quickly took some Hyper Potions out of one of the pockets of her lab coat. Kara floated down, having been watching the battle from a safe distance.

The tiny feline curiously watched as the woman quickly sprayed one of the Hyper Potions on Celeste's wounds. Almost instantly, the wounds began to heal. Celeste weakly tried to sit up, with some help from her creator. "Are you alright?" Zelda asked, still concerned. "I will be. That was a tough battle." The white pokemon replied, as the scientist applied bandages to the wounds on the creature's body. "Told you I could beat her in a fight." Mewtwo told Tim, as he landed beside the group. "..Well, did you have to nearly kill her?" Tim asked, his arms crossed, as he spoke. "Yes. I was merely getting her back for attempting to kill me all those years ago." The purple creature stated, as he stood there beside Vicki.

"I am sorry for my actions back then." Celeste told him. "It is alright, Celeste. I forgive you." The male feline said, as he hugged her tightly. She winced in pain, pulling away from the hug. "I'm sorry. I did not mean to cause you this much harm." He quickly apologized. "Like I said before, it will heal." The white feline assured him. "We can't go back to Kanto with her like this. Vicki, can we stay with you for a while?" Zelda asked the mauve creature, who nodded. "Follow me." Vicki told her, as she floated ahead of them, while using her powers to carefully levitate Celeste. Soon, they arrived at Vicki's home. Gently, she lowered Celeste onto the sofa, with her powers. The glow from Vicki's powers faded. She grabbed a pillow, with her hand, bringing it over to Celeste. She saw no reason to waste her psychic energy doing a simple task. Seeing this, Celeste raised her head slightly, then laid her head down on the pillow. "Thank you, Vicki."

Vicki smiled. She was glad to be helping Celeste in her time of need. "You're welcome." Vicki replied, as she sat on the floor. Suddenly, Vicki was startled by Giovanni barging into her living room. "Where is Celeste?!" He demanded to know, pointing a Poke Ball at Vicki, like it was a weapon. "Tell me, or I will catch you!" Vicki quickly used her powers, crushing the ball into a bunch of tiny pieces. "This is no big deal. I have a Master Ball." Giovanni stated, casually taking the purple ball out of the pocket of his coat. He tossed the ball at the mauve feline, but nothing happened. "I guess my suspicions were just confirmed. She is also a hybrid, like Celeste. Due to her having human DNA, she cannot be captured in any Poke Ball." Zelda explained, as they stood there.
