A/N: here's the second part of the last chapter. i just wanted to have a dramatic cliffhanger last chapter.
Narcissa Malfoy walked towards the teacher's table in true Malfoy fashion, her head held high.
"As you can see, your new professor will be Narcissa Malfoy"
Hermione tried her hardest to stop her laughter but she was failing miserably. Soon she was joined by the Slytherins and Ginny. Malfoy's horror struck face was truly priceless. Now she understood why Snape wanted to take a photo.
"Wha-what? My mother is going to be the Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher?" Draco spluttered.
"I believe that is what headmistress McGonagall just said" Narcissa stated, smirking at her son.
Hermione didn't think that Malfoy's expression could get funnier. It was one of the few times that she was ok with being wrong.
"B-but I thought that father wanted you close to him?" Draco questioned.
"I'll go back to the manor in the evenings" Narcissa shrugged.
Blaise began laughing hysterically. He was gasping for breath, he was laughing so hard.
"Imagine having your parent as your professor! There goes your midnight shenanigans" Blaise said once he had collected himself.
"I don't know what your laughing about Blaise. there will be no nighttime shenanigans for you either" Narcissa said seriously.
Blaise groaned and scowled. Pansy and Astoria burst out laughing while the boys pouted. Apparently the boys had some nighttime ritual, though they all knew that they would just sit around blasting party music, stealing snacks from the kitchen, and just being completely crazy.
Suddenly Blaise sat up snd smirked, a great idea in his head.
"Oh no you don't" Narcissa told him, a glint of amusement in her eyes.
Blaise narrowed his eyes at her in suspicion. "How do you know what i'm going to do?"
Narcissa laughed, a small elegant hand covering her mouth. "You forget that i've known you your entire life. I know how you think"
Pansy and Astoria turned to Blaise with identical smirks.
"Looks like you won't be able to get us back" Astoria said with glee.
"For what exactly?" McGonagall asked.
"Dying his, Theo's and Draco's hair different colors" Pansy replied, trying, and failing, to contain her chuckles.
"Oh, I was just about to mention it! I love the new look son, will you be keeping it?" Draco glared at his amused mother.
"No, I will not be, mother" he said.
"Why not? It looks ever so cute. Severus, you will send me those photos, won't you?" Narcissa asked sweetly.
Draco's mouth fell open in horror. His friends broke into a fresh wave of giggles.
"Of course, cissa" Snape smirked.
"Betrayal!" Draco exclaimed dramatically, holding a hand over his heart.
"Ok, now you're being more dramatic than Blaise. Blaise!" Hermione yelled across the hall.
"Not true!" Draco pouted.
"True" Hermione replied.
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Draco!" Narcissa exclaimed. "Now you really are being dramatic like Blaise."
"I feel so attacked" Blaise muttered.
"Mother! Your supposed to be on my side!" Draco whined.
"Hmmm, I don't think so. Zabini, open your mouth and you have a week of detention" Narcissa warned, knowing that Blaise was about to tease her son.
"Alright students, back to class" McGonagall said, her lips upturned in a slight smile at her students. She had a feeling that this year was going to be very entertaining.
Slowly the students filed out of the great hall and back to class.
