TWs: More character death(s), vengeance, blood/injuries, guns/weapons, mention of religion. Stay safe :)

Tord gritted his teeth, looking past Laurel's shoulder at the panel Bing stood at. The Norsk dodged an incoming kick from her, throwing his hand under her leg to throw her off balance.

"Matt, Bing needs backup!" Tord called. Laurel caught herself before she could fall over.

"On it!" Matt nodded, grabbing his dagger and piercing Joe's face, "Sorry, hope you don't mind." The ginger ran off to help his uncle as he left the Black Army soldier grunting on the ground.

"Ah, now I remember..." Diwi muttered, stroking his chin as his mouth twisted into a smile, "You must be talking about that blonde fellow... it's a shame what happened to him."

"You killed him," Yan spoke through clenched teeth.

"Maybe I did... what are you gonna do about it?"

"You're going to wish you were never born."

"Am I supposed to feel threatened?" Diwi quirked an eyebrow, cocking his head.

Yan glowered, his gaze piercing into him like a laser beam. Diwi didn't falter, messing with a vial he held in his grasp. There was a moment when everything around them stilled, and time was moving slowly. Yan took a deep breath, watching his enemy closely and waiting for an opening.

Diwi shifted the vial to his other hand, prompting Yan to raise his gun and shoot. The bullet ended up grazing the German's wrist, causing him to let go of the vial of green substance.

"Lucky shot," Diwi muttered, eyeing the line of blood dripping from his hand. The blonde only seemed to smirk, "But how can you handle... multiple?"

He reached into his jacket, throwing a barrage of slime bombs at Yan. The Russian stepped back, avoiding the glass bobbles and letting them splatter on the ground. One of them managed to collide with his boot.

"You think this is a joke, don't you?" Yan spoke, watching the green substance slipping off his shoe.

"Everything's a joke if you make it one." Diwi shrugged, "The whole world is a joke, which is why... there's Paradise."

'Paradise...' Yan thought bitterly, "You really think such a thing exists?"

"Of course." Diwi nodded, "This is the Second Coming that's been prophesied all this time..."

'Second Coming!?' Yan's eyes widened, 'As in-!?'

"Ah, so you finally figured it out? Took you long enough." Diwi crossed his arms, "The Second Coming... or the Great Tribulation, are things spoken in the Bible itself."

"Religion..." Yan tsked, "I should've known that's what this was about."

Diwi hummed, "I figured that old genius would've guessed it by now, seeing how he was 'friends' with our previous leader."

"Previous... that's all I need," Yan spoke, turning away. He stopped in his tracks before grabbing his gun and shooting the German in the stomach. The ravenette watched him fall to the ground before walking up to him, peering down at him, "You deserve to die, so I'll give you a slow and painful death."

Yan stepped onto his torso, crushing the vials and bobbles of slime that Diwi had on him. The German felt the substance slowly leaking through his uniform as he writhed in agony.

The Russian glared at him once more before turning around and leaving the scene.

Across the courtyard, Bing was trying to figure out how to work the control panel and free his friends. Primis hovered near him, protecting him from anything that came near.

"Hey, get away from that!" A voice shouted.

"Oh no-" Bing's eyes widened as he noticed Hellucard and Dr. John running towards him, "Primis, distract them!"

Primis made a whirring noise as it flew off, firing a few red beams at the King.

"Uncle, what's happening?" Matt came up beside him.

"I don't know how to work this thing." Bing spoke, "This technology isn't anything I've seen before."

"Huh," Matt pressed a few buttons, reeling back when one of them shocked him, "Ow-!"

Primis ran circles around Hellucard, whistling while doing so. John stood by, watching the charade.

"Don't just stand there, Doctor! Do something!" The King yelled.

"Oh, right." John cleared his throat before walking past and to the control panel, "May I?"

Bing and Matt looked at him incredulously.

"You do realize you're our enemy, right?" Matt asked.

"Mmh, I know." John's eyes seemed to move past them and to the courtyard-turned-battlefield. He pulled out a stick and pressed one of the buttons. Primis slowed to a stop, buzzing as it felt something interfere with its connection, "That's your drone, right?"

Bing nodded, eyeing Primis as it moved towards them slowly.

He almost looked apologetic as he spoke, "I'm going to have to borrow it." He pressed another button on the stick, the tip of it turning red.

Primis made a familiar noise as her red eye lit up. Matt's eyes widened and he grabbed his uncle's wrist, "Move!"

A laser beam was shot out, scorching the earth where they once stood.

Once they were distracted, John set to work. He monitored his surroundings, ensuring Bing, Matt, and Hellucard stayed clear of the panel. He peered up at the device, pressing a button.

Edd felt a surge of energy rush through him. He peered at the cuffs around his wrists. Taking a deep breath, he tried to pull the links apart. The metal bore into his wrists, cutting into him, yet he didn't give up as he saw a few cracks starting to form. The metal eventually gave up, splitting the links apart.

The brunette huffed before squirming in the chains around his body, bending the connection material that linked it to the device. The nuts and bolts keeping the chains in place were no match for his strength as he managed to pop some of them out of place until he could slip out of the chains.

Edd glanced at the control panel, noticing Dr. John staring at him, yet didn't do anything to stop him. Instead of questioning him, Edd took his chance to free the other two.

Larry's eyes widened, "Edd? How did-?"

"No time for questions." The tall brunette spoke, pulling apart the chains containing him. His hands started to ache as he moved on to Arthur, "We need to get out of here before-"

"Hey! What's going on!?" Hellucard took notice, running up to the panel, "Doctor!"

"U-Uh, I don't know..." John shook his head, looking panicked as he inserted a flash drive and pressed a button.

"Ugh, we don't have time for this-" Hellucard pushed him aside, "Let's get this over with!"

Edd grabbed Arthur and Larry's arms, using his superspeed to pull them away from the device.

Tord took notice of Hellucard at the control panel, his eyes widening as he watched him press the red button, "No-!"

The last of the Black Army watched with anticipation while everyone else watched with varying emotions, ranging from horrified to distressed.

Once he pressed the button, though...

"What...?" Hellucard uttered, his mouth skewing into a frown as the doomsday device did nothing. He slammed his fist onto the button, "Why isn't it working!?"

"Maybe you should be more gentle." The scientist spoke from behind him.

The leader tensed, his fists clenched. It took him two seconds to turn around and pick up John by his collar, "You! What did you do!?"

John was quiet, his eyes analyzing Hellucard's broken and rusted parts, "This is unexpected... even if I was the one who created you and raised you, you act like him instead, a monster."

"What?" Hellucard spat, his voice distorted.

"I'm afraid that it's time." John's eyes glanced at Primis, "One-One-Three-Seven... Decommission Two-One-Three-Zero."

Primis accepted the command, making a dinging sound. A metal claw came out from its underside, making a drilling notion.

Hellucard took notice, dropping his creator and stepping back, "You dare to disobey me, your leader?"

"I never thought of you as such, Hellucard..." John spoke, letting a few tears escape his eyes.

SHINK!

The sound of metal penetrating metal rang out across the field as Primis stuck the claw deep inside Hellucard's head.
