TWs: Arguing/confrontation, amnesia, worrying, weapons, hostages, mentions of blood. Stay safe :)
"Tell me everything you know!" Edd scowled, his juniper eyes blazing as he glared into Larry's.
"About what!? Let go of me, asshole!" Larry squirmed in his grip, grabbing the hand holding onto his collar.
"Him!" Edd didn't let go nor stood down as he tightened his hold on the older, "What do you know about Tord!?"
Larry stopped, his eyes widening at the brunette's words. He raised an eyebrow, "What...?"
Arthur, who fumbled to his feet, heard the conversation, saying nothing until he decided to step in by clearing his throat, "Let him go, then we'll explain everything."
Edd peered at him, squinting his eyes at the ginger, like daggers to his cornea all over again. He dropped Larry, who stumbled to find balance on the floor.
"Alright, now tell me everything," Edd spoke.
"Ah-ah, you tell us everything." Arthur raised his index finger, waving it around.
"I ask the questions here, wanker." The brunette sized him up, "You said you would explain."
Arthur didn't flinch despite knowing the brunette was mere inches away from him, "Why the sudden interest in Tord? Last I heard, you were working for the King."
The ginger gestured to the doorway where the soldiers were knocked out just outside.
"Sounded like quite the fight." Arthur continued. His arctic blue eyes looked up, trying to gauge where Edd's face was, "And besides, I didn't think you liked Tord, not after you... you know."
"Know what?" Edd looked the man up and down, "What did I do?"
"Figured... you have amnesia," Arthur affirmed, rubbing at his chin in thought.
"Enough games!" Edd snared, whipping out his gun. Arthur would be lying if he said his heart wasn't beating faster than usual.
"You remembered something, didn't you?" The ginger asked, albeit hesitant, as he felt the static of the futuristic gun inches away from his nose, "What was it?"
Edd frowned, "What does that have to do with-?"
Suddenly, Edd found himself standing in a diner, confronting three people- there was one that looked like him but younger and carefree. His friends seemed the same way. He heard a chime of a door, peering over his shoulder to see Hellucard.
"Ey, Head!" He spoke, waving.
Edd saw red as his armed hand whipped around to shoot him.
"Edd! Snap out of it!" He heard a faraway voice call out to him.
He blinked, rubbing at his eyes. The first thing he noticed when opening his eyes was that he was kneeling on the floor. The second thing was that the door had been blasted to bits. The third thing was that his gun was gone, in the possession of Larry.
"What... happened?" He muttered.
"You did," Larry replied.
"What he means is you didn't mean to." Arthur spoke, "At least, I think."
"Why am I having these memories?" Edd slowly got off the floor, looking down at his hands, watching as they trembled, "Why now...?"
"It's not easy to explain, and frankly, there is no explanation for how amnesia works..." Arthur explained, "It can be sporadic, it can be triggered by something, it can be at a random time, etcetera..."
"The first time was at the cinema... I was walking by on my way here the other day and decided to go inside. It reminded me of them." Edd turned to meet Larry's eyes, "And I also saw you. Although I don't think I know you. Either of you, actually..."
"So you just thought a stranger would tell you what happened?" Larry crossed his arms.
"I have an advantage, which is a gun." Edd nodded. The shorter rolled his eyes.
"What else did you remember?" Arthur tried to get him back on track.
"Not much. Lots and lots of other me's? Lots of Tom's, Matt's, Tor- mmh..." Edd stuttered on saying the name, shaking his head as he moved on, "Lots of blood."
Arthur and Larry noticed the fumble, the latter glancing at the ginger.
"So, you really don't remember what happened between you and Tord?" Arthur questioned.
"No! Why would why?" Edd glared, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"I was just asking. No need to get-"
"HEAD!" A voice shouted, making everyone in the room freeze, "What the 'ell is this!?"
The scuffling sound of footsteps came from down the hall as the King came skidding to a halt in the doorway, his eyes glancing from the unconscious soldiers on the floor to the ashy markings of where the door was blasted before looking into the room.
"What the fuck are you doing...?"
"Something's up." Matt prompted as he sat next to his uncle, "What is it?"
Bing twirled his spoon, shrugging, "Nothing! Everything's fine, right, Primis?" Primis was quiet, deciding to leave the director on his own, "Primis...?"
"Uncle Bing." Matt huffed, "What are you hiding?"
"I'm not hiding anything! It's just-" Bing averted his eyes, "Silly, really."
"You, silly?" Matt smiled, rolling his eyes, "I don't believe it."
Bing punched his arm, "Hey!"
"Okay, okay!" Matt laughed, holding his arm, "And what is this 'silly' thing?"
The director hummed, "Just some thoughts I've been having... mostly about Larry."
"Oh~?" Matt rocked forward, a smirk rising on his face, "Are you finally realizing your feelings for him?"
Bing chuckled, "Right... you still don't know."
"Know what?" Matt propped his head in his hands, leaning on the table.
"We've been together for eight years..." The brunette preemptively covered his ears.
Matt took in the words, slowly blinking as his eyes widened. His body jolted off the table as his hands slammed onto the surface, "WHAT!?"
Everyone in the mess hall looked over at them. Bing lowered himself in his seat, feeling awkward.
"You're-!?" Bing coughed, gesturing to their sudden audience. Matt covered his mouth, dropping into his seat, "Oops..."
"I know you have a lot of questions." Bing raised a hand, "But right now isn't the time."
"Right, right..." Matt fidgeted with his hands, giddy at the thought of his coven growing, "We still need to rescue them before we can take down the King once and for all." There was a lilt in Matt's voice that sounded uneasy, yet he covered it up by putting a smile on his face.
"And then everything will be back to normal." Bing pat him on the shoulder, "I still need to test Primis, but I'll talk to you later, kid."
The ginger watched as his uncle walked away, the drone hovering above him.
"Right. See you later..." Matt uttered, his senses aching.
"Now, I'm really sorry I have to do this..." Hellucard spoke, watching as his three hostages were chained up, "Except, I'm not sorry at all!" He started laughing maniacally.
Larry peered over his shoulder, spotting a deactivated timer, "What's this for?"
"Ah, once the timer is activated," Hellucard peered at the setting sky, "It'll count down to the moment the moon is in the perfect position for the eclipse... that's when we strike."
"And why are we here?" Arthur grunted, coughing a bit.
"You guys... well." Hellucard's smirk widened, "You guys are going with it."
It was all too much for Edd as he saw black, slipping into unconsciousness. The only sound he heard was the King's laughing as he drifted further and further away.
