Filler Episode

-The Clones-

Clone Ness woke up first as always. He pecked his boyfriend on the cheek. He got up and took a quick shower. After the shower, he used the hair dryer. He needs a trim. He'll get one before Mario's wedding.

"I want an omelet!" He heard grumpy Lucas.

(He's so cute when he's grumpy in the morning.) "Ok, I'll get you one," Ness called out from the bathroom.

He put on his clothes and left the bathroom to see his boyfriend giving him a pouty face.

"Aww, how's my grumpy Princess," Ness teased.

"I'm not a princess."

"You're my princess."

"I'm not a princess. I'm a prince."

"Ok, ok, you're a prince."

"Hmph!"

"Alright, alright, I'm leaving now. See, I'm putting on my shoes."

Lucas turned his head and crossed his arms. Ness wanted to tackle him down and give him lots of kisses. He's so darn cute! However, his prince is hungry, so he must deliver the royal omelets before he gets his head cut off.

He left and went to the breakfast coffee shop. He ordered two omelets and coffee. As he was waiting the Barista started talking to him.

"Hi, Ness," The barista greeted.

"Oh, hi. Wait, how do you know my name?"

"What? You don't know me? I'm a smasher like you."

"Uh… I lost some of my memory due to trauma."

"It's Isabelle."

"Oh, Isabelle. Riiiight, yeah I totally know you."

"How is it going?"

"It's going alright."

"Just alright?"

"Yeah, uh, wait since when do you work here?"

"I know smashers don't need to work, but I love the atmosphere here."

"It does sound nice to work here."

"It is! You should apply. We're hiring."

"Ah, no. I don't think I would do a good job."

"You totally would~"

"I dunno…"

"We don't talk much. I would love to get to know you."

"I do too, but I don't know if I want to work. Hmm, I'll think about it actually."

"I could totally see us being barista pals."

"Yeah, me too."

"Here, let's trade numbers. That way I can keep in touch with you."

"Sure."

They traded phone numbers.

"I would love to hang out later tonight if you're interested," She said.

"Um…"

He looked at her eyes and she looked excited. Aww she's a cutie. He didn't want to ruin that innocent smile. What's the harm in hanging out with her? She seems like a carefree down to earth type of gal.

"Yeah, for sure, what time?" He asked.

"How about after I'm done with work."

"When's that?"

"9pm."

"Ok, just text me. I might forget."

"Will do~"

He grabbed his order and left the cafe. That was a nice experience. He made it back to his boyfriend's room. He knocked on the door and Lucas answered.

"Delivery for a sexy prince," he flirted.

"Oh shut up," Lucas playfully pushed him.

The two started eating together while watching tv. However, Ness started to feel uneasy. Out of nowhere he started thinking about what Luigi did to him that night. His arm was full of goosebumps. He felt cold. For comfort he held onto Lucas and gave him a squeeze.

"Hey!" Lucas gently pushed him off.

"Sorry, was that too hard?"

"A little. Are you ok?"

"Yeah. I just love you."

"Aww, c'mere," Lucas pulled Ness into a tight hug.

"Ow, my ribcage."

"I just love you."

"Ok, ok I get it you can stop now."

"Hahaha!"

The two left the room and went on with their day. They window shopped at the mall, ate lunch, and went on a walk. They talked about video games.

"That's why I think he's the best character," Lucas rambled.

"The other pro players disagree."

"Yeah, well I'm better than them so…"

"You cocky bitch. I love that about you."

"Hahahaha!"

"Oh hey um, by the way I wanted to ask you a question."

"Sure, what's up?"

"So just hypothetically speaking, If I weren't Ness, would you still like me?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like if I was a different person."

"Like different personality wise?"

"Yeah."

"Well then you would be a different person. You wouldn't be you, so I guess it depends. Would this new you still like video games?"

"I uh…"

"Would he still be okay with the jokes I make?"

"Um…"

"I like you because you're you. We get along so well and we have a lot in common. If you were a different person then we probably wouldn't be close."

"I-I see…"

"It's you that I love."

"Ok, I have another question."

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah I just-

"You don't have to feel insecure. I love you and nothing will change that."

"But what if-

Someone called out their names. They turned around to see Toon Link running up to them.

Toon Link: *Huff* "Guys." *Huff*

Ness: "Someone's out of breath."

Toon Link: "Oh man, I'm glad I bumped into you guys."

Ness: "Why? What's up?"

Toon Link: "So uh, I've been thinking of what to tell Tetra if she's ever able to get here."

Lucas: "Oh."

Ness: "She's not here yet?"

Toon Link: "The travel machine is done."

Ness: "Oh that's right."

Toon Link: "God, I've been thinkin' about her non stop."

Ness: "Just text her."

Toon Link: "No, I want to tell her in person."

Lucas: "You came to us for advice?"

Toon Link: "Yeah. What should I say to her when she's here?"

Ness: "Just tell her how you feel."

Toon Link: "My mouth gets all stupid when I'm talking about my feelings."

Lucas: "You could write it down and rehearse it."

Toon Link: "That's the problem, mate. I failed theater class."

Ness: "We can't help you."

Toon Link: "Maybe you can't because you're socially inept. Lucas, do you have any other ideas?"

Ness: "Hey! I'm not socially inept."

Toon Link: "You can't get a girl even if you tried."

Ness: "Wow."

Lucas: "Um, I'm socially inept too."

Toon Link: "Pssh! Lucas, you can pull. You just don't want to."

Lucas: "Ah, well-

Toon Link: "You act like you got no game, but I know you. Unlike shortie over here."

Ness: "You're shorter than me."

Toon Link: "At least I have a way with words."

Ness: "Then why are you asking for help?"
Toon Link: "Shut up, this doesn't concern you. Lucas, what do you think?"

Lucas: "Uh…"

Toon Link: "Visualize this. There's this hot chick you've been crushing on for a long time. You realized that they're the one and you want them bad. How do you confess? Do you tell them right off the bat, or do you ease into it?"

Lucas: "I-I don't know."

Toon Link: "Damn. I'm fucked."

Ness: "Ease into it. Take her somewhere private and then tell her how you feel."

Toon Link: "That's actually not a bad idea."

Ness: "And you call me socially inept."

Toon Link: "You are."

Ness: "Fuck off."

Toon Link: "Hahahaha!"

Lucas: *Chuckles*

Toon Link: "See, Lucas agrees."

Ness: "Fuck both of you."

Toon Link: "No thanks. Anyway, whatcha guys up to?"

The three (mainly Ness and Toon Link) of them were talking about whatever. Toon Link followed them all the way back to Lucas's room talking about how he and Tetra first met.

Toon Link: "We walkin' Lucas back first?"

Ness: "Ah, well actually I'm still gonna hang out with him in his room."

Toon Link: "You two gonna ditch me to fuck?"

Ness: "Yup."

Lucas: "What!"

Toon Link: "Damn. I see how it is."

Ness: "Unless you wanna join."

Toon Link: "Nah, I'm good. I'll see you guys around."

Ness: "Later, loser."

Toon Link: "Later, virgin."

The two ate dinner together, but after that, Ness told Lucas that he met a new friend. He showed him Isabelle's contact because he wanted to be honest. Surprisingly Lucas didn't mind. He gave him a kiss goodbye and off Ness went.

A part of him didn't want to go. Especially alone. Luigi could be anywhere, but there were smashers around him, so if Luigi did try to do anything, the smashers would save him. Another reason why he didn't want to go is because Sonic might be stalking him. He'll think that he's trying to fuck Isabelle, which for once, was not the case. Then he might tell Mario and… This is so exhausting. Shut up, and enjoy making a new friend. Everything will be ok.

He met up with Isabelle at the cafe. She finished closing up the shop. The two decided to go walk around in this nice lovely summer night.

"So, what do you like to do for fun?" She asked.

"Oh, I like to play video games. I also like adventuring."

"Adventuring? Ooooh like what?"

"I made Lucas go to an abandoned amusement park with me. It was so fun."

"That sounds scary."

"It was! Oh I also really want to go hiking one of these days. I'm a huge fan of the outdoors."

"I am too! I also like to explore. Oh, do you like building? We could build a shelter out there in melee mountain."

"No, I'm not much of a builder, but I would be down."

"I can teach you."

"Sounds fun."

"We can go camping and build our own treehouse."

"That sounds exciting!"

"Oooh, we could also go ghost hunting."

"Yes! So, wait, you're into horror stuff too?"

"Absolutely."

"I would've never guessed."

"I know. When people see me, they think of me as a secretary. I used to be one, but it was boring, so I came to smash to expand my horizons."

"Wow! That's awesome!"

The two ended up on a bridge. They sat down and let their legs dangle. Isabelle touched his hand. He noticed and moved it away. Sure Isabelle is attractive, but he is not going to give in to the temptation. In fact, he's done fucking around with others.

"So… What's your occupation besides being a smasher?" Isabelle asked.

"Nothing hahaha!"

"You should work at the cafe with me."

"Yeah, maybe. I'll think about it."

"You totally should. I can see us closing the store together and then going somewhere fun."

"Like the mountains?"

"Yeah! Or other places like getting lost in the lost woods."

"That does sound fun."

"I can see us getting close," She said, grabbing his thigh.

"Haha… Y-yeah."

"You know, Ness. I like that I finally had a chance to hang out with you. Before you didn't seem to want to make new friends."

"Is that so?"

"Maybe I was judging you too harshly."

"It's fine. I am a little awkward."

She tightened her grip on his thigh. He was uncomfortable, but he didn't want to be rude or ruin her mood, so pretended to ignore it.

"You know, there's a lot of creepy guys out there, but you're not like them. You're innocent. I like that about you," She said.

"Ha! Innocent? Nah, I'm a guy."

"Oh is that so? I didn't know there was a naughty side to you."

"Are you surprised?" He winked. Shit… No, this is the thing he was afraid of.

"Then what do you think of me? Do you think I'm cute?" She blushed.

"Yeah you're cute, but uh…"

"I think you're cute too."

Oh no, this isn't good. They're flirting. He can't. He must resist. He awkwardly removed her hand off of his thigh. Then he stood up and stretched his arms.

"Well, this has been fun, but uh it's getting late," He said.

"Aww, really?"

"Yeah, sorry. I did have fun though."

"Wait."

"Hm?"

"Are you put off because I have an onlyfans account?"

"You do?"

"Yeah. Some of the smashers know about it."

"Oh, I didn't know." (I don't even know what that is.)

"I don't want you to think that I'm a hoe."

"I don't think that."

"Then why are you pushing me away?"

"You're beautiful and all, but…"

"It's ok, I get it."

They hugged and said their goodbyes. As he was walking he looked back and saw that she was sad. She sat staring at her dangling legs. This is why he hates rejecting people. It hurt. He hated seeing her like this. He walked back and extended his hand out to her.

"I thought you were heading back?" She looked at him shocked.

"I don't want you to be here in the dark all alone."

She wiped her tears and grabbed his hand. The two walked back to Isabelle's room together.

"Do you want to come in?" She asked.

"I… Shouldn't."

"Did you know that I helped build the mansion rooms?"

"No."

"I made myself a special room. I want you to see it."

"I would love to, but I'm busy."

"It's my work. I'm really proud of it."

"I… Ok."

Ness walked inside her room. It looked so cute. It reminded him of Leaf's room. Lots of pink and yellow in the room. There were cute plushies and comfy blankets everywhere.

"Do you like it?" She asked.

"This is incredible. You made this room?"

"I helped make a lot of rooms."

"Yeah, this is great."

"Want to see my bedroom?"

"Oh, it's a one bedroom. These ones are fancy."
"Yes! Want to see it?"

"I…"

"It'll be quick."

"Sure."

The two stepped inside her bedroom. It was so pretty. It had a gamer girl vibe to it.

"I'm a streamer," She smiled.

He noticed that there were sex toys on her bed and he started to feel uncomfortable.

"That's… Great. I didn't know you were a gamer."

"Yeah. I like to play dating sims. I have a chill and read gameplay style."

"That's cool. Well anyway, thanks for showing me your room. I should go now."

"Wait," She grabbed his hand.

He turned around and faced her.

"Yes?" He nervously asked.

She gave him a hug. When she pulled away she was flustered.

"I know you're not into me like that, but I just wanted to say that I think we could work. I feel a connection with you," She said, looking away.

"Isabelle…"

"I still want to be your friend. I promise I won't flirt with you or anything. So, if you're still interested…" She handed him a card.

It was a qr code to apply online for the cafe job.

"I would love it if you worked with me as just friends," She said.

"Thank you. I'll think about it. Even if I don't get the job, we can still hang out."

"You're so sweet~"

"I'll see you later."

"See ya."

He left her room. Oh thank god he didn't do anything with her. She was hot, but he's done sleeping around. It was tempting and he thought about it, but no. Not tonight. There were two people he wanted to be with and that was Lucas and Leaf.

Although he couldn't help but feel guilty with them. He cares for both deeply, but he's cheating on them. He's still being selfish. If he had to choose one he would pick Lucas. Maybe he should break up with Leaf, but at the same time, he didn't want to. He still loved her, but being with both made him feel like a dick.

He knows as long as they don't suspect each other he can get away with it, but he feels guilty now. Also the fact that he's the clone makes this situation worse. There's no way they'll figure it out. The real Ness is locked away in a cave.

Oh man, the real Ness… He took his life. He started feeling bad. He shouldn't have said those awful things to him. God, he was such an asshole back then. He still is. If only he was his own person and didn't have to live the life of Ness.

Maybe in another timeline he could see himself being friends with Ness, Lucas, Toon Link, and Popo. Is it weird to want to be Ness's friend? They're enemies. He's supposed to hate him and think he's trash, but he doesn't see that way anymore. The way that his friends and especially Lucas talk about og Ness, made him want to get to know him. This awkward yet caring guy. It's charming. If only he wasn't forced to be his replacement. They could've been friends.

He knocked on Lucas's door and he answered. When he saw the blonde's happy face, he felt like crying. He wished he didn't have to lie and trick everyone. He wished Lucas knew the truth, but still loved him.

"Did it not go well?" He frowned.

"It went well. Sorry, I was just thinking about a sad thought."

"Like what?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"It's ok. Tell me when you're ready."

"I just want to cuddle you and sleep."

"Ok, let's do that."

"I love you."

"I love you too."
