A Little Hazbin 2: Freezing Over

Charlie comes back downstairs as Vaggie moves away from the door.

"I just put Celest in her room," the Princess tells her. "Told her not to come down until grown up talk is finished."

"And I just sent away the last of her friends and their parents with a slice of cake each and some party favors," Vaggie tells her. "Surprisingly, more left presents than I thought. Not surprisingly, Enid demanded double the amount of cake, cash compensation, and she threw the gift on the floor and stomped on it. Why did we invite her again? Celest doesn't even like her kid. Not that I blame her," that last part was said under her breath."

"Because we agreed that we can't invite her entire class except one."

"Right," the Fallen Angel sighs. "Some birthday."

"I know," Charlie sighs as well. "And it was her first. It was supposed to be perfect."

The couple then goes into the room where the rest of the Hotel is gathering around Clara. Most are concerned about the young Carmine.

Charlie looks at Clara in worry. "Has she said anything?"

"Not a peep," Angel shakes his head. "She ain't talking."

Husk holds up a bottle, "Enough of this stuff," and shakes the cheap booze, "Will loosen anyone up."

Cherri smirks. "Add in a little something extra and she'll even stop crying. In fact, she'll feel so much better."

Alastor then pops in between them. "Torture will make any bird sing."

Emily gasps hearing all that. "That's just horrible! How can you even suggest those things?"

The three Sinners just stared at the young seraphim.

Husk then tells her. "We're sinning demons."

Cherri shrugs. "Some of these things just come naturally."

"My dear," Alastor wraps an arm around Emily. "You've been here in Hell for some time now. I figured you would have accepted all this. Can you truly see all that is good if you can't see any of the bad?"

"I suppose," the Angel sees that the Overlord has a point. She then took a glance at the Carmine. "But can we really do something like that to one who is already suffering so much?" Emily turns to Lilith. "You're majesty? I once heard you had the power of Command. Could you perhaps us it to get answers?"

The Queen looks from the Angel before turning to Clara. "I could," the tall woman walks over to where the distressed demon is and sits next to her. "It would be the easiest way. But not the right way." Lilith puts a hand over the Carmine. "In her current state of mind, to Command her to relive the moments by force could do far more harm than good."

Hearing that, Niffty hops up with a grin. "I wonder what damaged the Queen's voice did to the lonely Vee?"

Clara sniffles, "It was her," finally speaking up.

The present company looks at one another and Charlie turns to ask.

"Who?"

The Carmine looks up and tells them, "Velvette. That b(bleep)ch is back! And she wasn't alone."

.oOo.

A Couple Hours Ago

Carmilla looks over the papers in front of her and addresses the present Overlords. "Ever since the Half-Year Extermination, there has been no word from Heaven. You all now have equal access to my Angelic Weapons. Where I hope it would never be needed at least we'll be prepared for the worst case scenar…" the woman halts the conversation as the elevator door opens.

Stepping out of the elevator was the one person no one in Hell thought they'd ever see again.

Velvette of the Vees strides in with her hair done in a pixie cut and wearing a long coat with its sleeves folded. And behind her is a tall blue rough skinned muscular man with solid white claws and hair and beard form from some kind of white rocks wearing a dress shirt, vest, slacks, and dress shoes.

Carmilla glares.

"What is thou doing here?" Zestial asks. "Thou are unwelcomed."

"Why not?" the blue man steps up. "It is to my understanding that my employer still retains more then enough souls to stand beside you as an Overlord."

The other Overlords murmured among themselves before turning to the one at the head of the table.

"He's right," the Arms Dealer nods. "Despite any dislike towards Velvette, her status does indeed put her among our ranks."

"It's not like it be that much of a problem," Clara speaks up. "With the way she is now she's perfectly harmless."

Odette then adds. "More like armless." Snickers are heard from around the table causing Velvette to glare at the spectacled Carmine.

Clara tells her sister. "Good one, Odette."

Odette just fiddles with her glasses. "Good one what?" that causes the puffy haired Carmine to blink.

As Velvette takes her seat, Zestial looks over at the man standing right behind her and the Ancient Overlord asks. "Pardon my intrusion but who might thou be? For I have no recollection of you."

"Me?" the man bows slightly. "I am merely an assistant to Velvette. She needs all the help she can receive given her current condition." Hearing that causes the Vee to sneer. "You may call me… Mr. E."

"Well then, Mr. E," Carmilla lifts one of her papers. "As I was saying—"

"That is curious," Mr. E cuts her off.

The Arms Dealer looks up, barely hiding her irritation, she sees Velvette and her assistant looking over at the two empty seats. "What's curious?"

The man turns to the woman. "My employer is just wondering about the current whereabouts of the absent Overlords."

Carmilla raised a brow wondering how this stranger would know what the silent woman is saying. "Rosie had a bulk order to attend to and Alastor is prioritizing the birthday party goddaughter."

"Oh," Clara turns to her mother. "I really wish we could have gone. I enjoy being around that little girl."

And Odette adds "I to would have liked to attend the party."

At this, the elder Carmine sighs. "We've already discussed this. This meeting was set up long before they contacted us about the party," from the corner of her eyes, Carmilla notices her daughters deflate. "Perhaps once we finish here we can drop by."

Odette nods while Clara cheers, "Yes!"

"I shall like to attend as well," Zestial announces. "Thou already have a gift for young Celest."

"Woah!" Missi Zilla lets out. The giant Overlord clutches herself as she shivers. "What happened to the heat?"

The other Overlords quietly agreed. Even Carmilla has to admit that the temperature has dropped.

"Clara," the Arms Dealer turns to one of her daughters. "Would you kindly check the thermostat?"

The puffy-haired Carmine as she gets up to check the temp. She goes to adjust the temperature. "Uh…" Clara turns back to her mother. "It's already on high. I'll go and call maintenance and see if there's anything they can do."

Carmilla nods, "Very well," as her daughter leaves the room.

"I don't see what the big deal is," Mr. E speaks up. "If you asked me, everything needed to be cooled down anyway."

The Overlords just stared at the strange man. With exception for Carmine who's gaze rarely left Velvette since she entered the room. There was something about how the Vee was grinning. It wasn't the usual I'm better than everyone else grin the Arm's Dealer is used to seeing on the Influencer. There was something more sinister behind it. Even for and Overlord.

Carmine just pushed the thoughts to the back of her head. "Now then," her breath became visible. "Let's continue…" she stops once she lifts the paper back up and finds it stiff. Dropping the document, it shattered on the table. This had confused her and the other Overlords.

"Actually," Mr. E places a hand on the table. "Time to end this meeting." suddenly the table is covered in ice.

.oOo.

"Are you sure?" Clara asks for the umpteenth time as she is walking back towards the meeting room. "It's just that it's pretty cold up here. I mean, I think I can see my breath," to emphasize this, she huffs out to show the air's visibility. "I'm not saying you're wrong, but something is, and it needs to be figured out. Do you really want to see the aftermath of a meeting where a bunch of Overlords have frozen their a…" the Carmine stops as soon as the doors to the meeting room came into sight. They have been frozen over.

"Send security to the meeting room!" Clara shouts as she rushes to the doors, trying to force them open. It took a couple shoves, but the Carmine managed to unstick the doors enough to open them just a crack.

Carmilla is slammed against the wall and manages to twist to avoid a kick from Velvette. The Arm's Dealer is usually much better at combat than the Vee but she's too unsteady and unbalanced as her arms have been frozen solid.

"We would have been here sooner," Mr. E said from the corner as he leans against a frozen Zestial. "But my employer insisted on waiting until she could handle you herself. Where most of the others are on her list," the stranger gestures around where the other Overlords are shown to be in the same condition with many of them in pieces. "You are personal."

Carmilla continued dodging the Vees kicks and it's evident that every hit pleases Velvette. All the Carmine has to do was wait for a single opening and she could end this. It's only a matter of handling the stranger. Velvette managed to knock Carmine to the floor.

The doors burst open, "Mom!" Clara shouts.

Carmilla turns eye wide as she notices Mr. E reaching out hand a to her daughter. "Clara!?" in one swift movement, she kicks the Vee's feet out from under her and rushes towards Clara. A blast of cold air leaves the Stranger's hand and goes straight for the young Carmine. However! She is shoved out of the way by her mother who is instantly frozen and is forced into the wall, shattering instantly.

"Mom!?" Clara crawls over to the pieces and picks up a handful.

Mr. E smirks at his handiwork but turns to Velvette. "What?" he said that with an innocent tone while receiving a glare from the Vee. "That wasn't my fault. I was aiming for the girl. She just got in the way."

At that, Velvette just shakes her head.

"I'll finish cleaning up here," the Stranger walks up to the terrified Carmine. His head then perks up and turns back to his employer. He hums, "I suppose that's not a bad idea. Clara, was it?" he turns back to the puffy-haired girl. "We want to send a message to Charlie Morningstar. She, her little girlfriend, and her father should meet us in Cannibal Town by…" he looks back at his boss. "What would be a good time?" he receives a blank stare, and he nods. "By three. If they are late even for a second then we'll come for them and that precious little girl of theirs," he walks away and grabs one of the ice figures and drags it over to Clara.

Clara instantly recognizes it as her sister. "Odette?"

"Here's an incentive to do as we say," with a hold of Odette's head, Mr. E slams the figure into to the wall.

"No!"

He then drops the head into the Carmine's lap. "You better hurry." The man and Velvette then enter the elevator.

Clara lifts up her sister's head and started cradling it.

.oOo.

Mr. E and Velvette then walked out the building. The Influencer was still glaring but it was directed at her new friend.

"You thought that was too far?" he chuckles. "You're an Overlord! You should be used to this kind of stuff. We had to make sure the message is delivered, and I only brought up the child because what better way to get the family involved," he places a hand on the Influencer's shoulder. "You'll thank me once this is done." The hesitant look from Velvette was telling Mr. E that he had won her over with this. "Remember? The Future of Hell belongs to the Vees."

Velvette raised her head and closed her eyes. She then looks at Mr. E with determination reignited.
