Chapter 7 Some Assembly required
In New York a bank was being robbed by one of the villains who escaped one of the four big prisons in the Marvel universe before the Merge.
Mandrill was about to escape when he got zapped in the butt.
"OW!" Mandrill yelled.
"Mandrill right? Baboon guy with Pheromone powers?" Wasp asked making him look down seeing her. "I'm gonna have to ask you to surrender or your ass is getting kicked." Wasp said.
"HAHAHAHA! Wasp? I'll tear you..." Mandrill tried to say before someone stood above him making him look seeing Superman grinning.
"You were saying?" Superman asked amused making Wasp giggle.
"Ugh." Mandrill tried to say before jumping away. "It doesn't matter. I'll take both of you..." Mandrill tried to say before Raiden appeared making him stutter. "That is..." Mandril said before MEGAS was above him.
Sputtering like a fool he backed up before he hit something making him look Hellboy who smirked.
"I SURRENDER! I SURRENDER!" Mandrill yelled in horror making him chuckle.
"Dumbass." Hellboy said.
"This is too easy." Coop said.
"One of the 74 from our universe down...73 to go." Wasp said.
Later
"Nice pad." Jamie said seeing a mansion.
"Thanks. I was gonna call it Avengers mansion but since we're called the Legion instead now." Tony said.
"It still sounds better if you ask me. Call it...The Avenger's faction." Coop said.
"Not a bad idea." Tony said.
"So what is this place?" Kiva asked.
"This is gonna be headquarters for The Legion New York faction." Tony said.
"Sweet." Mikey said.
"So there are headquarters in every part of the world." Korra said.
"Exactly. The Main base however though is in Elysium since the Legion is overseen by the Immortal council. People trust them more than any other government at the moment because they never lie and always tell the truth and keep their promises and easily compromise with people." Tony said.
"So who leads each base?" Leo asked.
"For now theres no leader for said areas yet. But there will be soon." Tony said as they went inside.
"Welcome Raiden. How may I be of Assistance?" Jarvis asked seeing Raiden by a camera surprising him.
"What sort of sorcery is this?" Raiden asked.
"It's not sorcery it's science. This used to be my mother's back in the day. I figured if we're gonna have a base it might as well be someplace with significance." Tony said.
"Nice." Coop said.
"Hey Wheres Sean?" Wasp asked.
"He said he had to talk to Maria Hill." Tony said.
"Oooh. Someone is in trouble." Mikey said before Raph hit him. "OW!" Mikey yelled.
"Knock it off." Leo said.
Meanwhile
Maria walked into Sean's office that had a lot of items around from several cultures both on and off Earth.
"Nice." Maria said.
"A friend of mine had a thing for collection and then got me into it." Sean said walking out.
"So why am I here?" Maria asked.
"Have a seat." Sean said getting her to do so.
"Look if this is about what happened last time." Maria tried to say.
"Its not. Though I did do some digging to see why you had issues with people who were enhanced or had special equipment. A little incident that occurred before you ever even considered joining SHIELD." Sean said making her eyes widen. "You were 15 when it happened. Several friends of yours were killed by an enhanced person...By accident. But you survived." Sean said making her sigh.
"It was my idea to go there. If I didn't make that suggestion they would be still be alive." Maria said.
"You think that by forcing anyone like that to join SHIELD it won't happen again. Funny thing is SHIELD was responsible for that event." Sean said confusing her.
"What are you talking about?" Maria asked.
"Fury didn't know this at the time since the director during the time of that incident was looking to continue the super solider program but unfortunately not wanting to risk his own agents used criminals to test the new serums out. You can see where that led." Sean said shocking her. "SHIELD is just as responsible for what happens to people as people in general since greed and lust for power caused the rise of criminals like that. Of course the one you saw didn't want to hurt people since his crimes beforehand were minor. When he realized what he had done...He cut himself off from the world for years from the rest of the world." Sean said.
"I don't believe this. I thought SHIELD protected people." Maria said.
"FBI, CIA, Interpol, SHIELD, SWORD and so many other organizations all have corruption. Ignorance to what is around you blinds to the truth. However my people are not like that. We care more about others and none about ourselves alone. Thats how we've always been." Sean said.
"So I see." Maria said.
"Your idea does hold potential but it also gives them nothing in return. This on the other hand is a revised version of what you proposed." Sean said handing her a file making her read it.
"Any enhanced or special individual who agrees to join the Legion will be given the following benefits. Proper living quarters that suit them. Top of the line Medical treatments. And any family members will be given immediate medical aid when needed as well as a proper finances given to them if they are having financial troubles." Maria said reading more and more of it. "Sean this is well thought out." Maria said.
"The Problem with your idea was it gave them nothing in return. This on the other hand gives them something worth joining. One thing I've noticed about certain villains is a lot of them became what they were by circumstances like Harvey Dent, Mr. Freeze, Clayface and many others. We can easily help them like Pym wants but the more concerning ones will need to be Digitized...Or put down." Sean said.
"Oh yeah. No doubt on that one." Maria said smiling.
Later
Sean arrived at Avenger's mansion.
"Nice place. Stark may be a moron at times but he's got good tastes." Sean said before seeing Hulk and raised an eyebrow as his eyes detected an energy around his head.
An Energy he knew all too well.
"Amora." Sean said annoyed.
Thats when he heard giggling as someone appeared behind him.
She had white skin with long blond hair and bright green eyes in a green dress of Asgardian design. She had large breasts and a bubble butt.
"Hello...Love." Amora said.
"What are you doing. Knock that shit off." Sean said.
"Oh fine." Amora said as Hulk shook his head.
"What was that all about?" Sean asked.
"Oh just having some fun. I haven't seen you since Loki trained you to tell the truth without actually telling the truth." Amora said.
"Hmph. And how is horn head?" Sean asked making her giggle.
"Oh...Planning as usual." Amora said.
"Please tell me he wasn't responsible for the break out. I know it had to be him or Doom." Sean said.
"Oh you know." Amora said disappointed.
"I'm not stupid. Only a small handful of people from your originating universe could pull that off. Doom hates competition so no. Zemo could if he was still alive." Sean said.
"Did no one tell you?" Amora asked.
"Tell me what?" Sean asked.
Later
"ZEMO IS STILL ALIVE!" Sean roared at Fury.
"Yeah so. Whats the big deal?" Fury asked.
"Fury I said it before I hate secrets." Sean said
"I gave you all the files." Fury said.
"Zemo's name not in there." Sean said.
"Idiots. I guess some people wanted to keep that quiet." Fury said.
"Whats the deal between you and Zemo? He was Captain America's enemy." Maria said.
"And mine. I told you before. I've been going to universe by universe for five years. Time moves differently through some of them." Sean said.
"Oh. So why do you hate him so much?" Maria asked.
"Virus X." Fury said.
"Bigo. I saw first hand what that stuff could do. It was the first time I broke my peoples principles of non violence. I unleashed the Virus on him as payback for the lives he took. Only I guess it didn't take." Sean said.
"Arnom Zola must have made something to counteract it." Fury said.
"How many HYDRA members from those days are still alive?" Sean asked.
"Only Zemo, Zola and Strucker." Fury said.
"Hmm." Sean said leaving.
"Man he must really hate Zemo for that." Maria said.
"By the way. Who told you Zemo was alive?" Fury asked.
"Her name is Amora. And her boss is the one who unleashed the prisoners before the Merge. Most likely to keep Thor here." Sean said leaving making him frown.
"And where is he?" Fury asked.
"I'll let you know when I find him myself." Sean said leaving.
Later
"Loki caused the breakout?" Thor asked as the group was assembled.
"In order to keep you busy. That was before the Merge. Now his plans have to be reorganized." Sean said.
"How do you know this Loki personally?" Raiden asked curious.
"Easy. He's the one who taught me to h how to not tell the full truth on certain things." Sean said
"Isn't that considering lying?" Coop asked.
"No actually it's not lying. Simply say what is true without actually telling the full truth. If it's true it doesn't actually count as a lie." Kiva said.
"I learned a lot of things from people in the multiverse before the Merge. Good and bad people." Sean said.
"For different perspectives." Raiden said understanding his reason.
"YOU ARE EVIL!" Omi yelled trying to strike him but Sean just caught him. "A true leader must be pure good. You will not be in command anymore. I will take over." Omi said.
"At least I don't think only of myself like you do." Sean said shocking him.
"I think of others and my friends all the time." Omi said defending himself.
"But you brag about your skills and abilities more and compliment them less on theirs." Sean said making him blink. "A leader doesn't have to be pure good. A combination of both is also required. To make the hard choices that someone like you would never make based on pride and principle. Me I'm different from the rest of my people. Willing to break my principles and the principles of my people for the greater good. You would not even consider it...Unless it benefited you and you alone." Sean said. (For the Record I'm not trying to turn him evil or anything. But his Ego is the size of his fat head. Which needs to be downsized.)
"Ouch." Coop said.
"In any event now we know exactly what happened." Tony said.
"Yeah, Loki set them all free to keep Thor busy." Hank said.
"So where we gonna keep 75 Super Villains anyway?" Coop asked.
"Along with all the others from each universe? Arkham doesn't work from what I've seen...No offense." Ben said to Batman.
"None taken." Batman said.
"Aren't you forgetting my proposal for digitizing them?" Sean asked.
"Yeah but how are we supposed to rehabilitate them?" Hank asked.
"Oh not this again Hank." Janet said.
"There are some that can be cured or helped. Others though are impossible. After all those like Joker, Zemo, Scarecrow, Vilgax, Thanos and Darkseid cannot change for the better. It's unfortunate that you can't change everyone but it is the truth. It's better to accept this and avoid further problems than try and make things worse." Sean said.
"I agree on that." Superman said.
"It doesn't mean we still shouldn't try." Hank said.
"No. The Less concerning ones will be brought out and go through evaluations. Those like the ones I mentioned though will not. And the courts will decide if they want some of them put down." Sean said.
"Now wait a minute." Hank said.
"Enough. This is the decision and it will not be changed. You can't change everyone and people have right to decide the fate of those who cause nothing but misery. There will be no more insanity pleas anymore since Joker uses that too much to get off easy. Not anymore." Sean said making him sigh.
"Hank people like that from what I've heard have ruined lives and had no remorse for it." Janet said.
"That doesn't mean they deserve to die." Hank said before Price grabbed him.
"Say that after you've seen dead bodies." Price said.
"ENOUGH!" Sean yelled stopping them. "You wanna help people go join a group. You wanna stop people from dying like their victims you do the job." Sean said leaving.
"Yeesh." Raph said.
"Clearly he's seen enough victims to make up his mind." Donny said.
Later
Out in the Arctic a small group of the Legion were investigating one of the Titans moving around. Sean was outside while Leo, Teela, Raph, Mikey, Donny and Batou were on a Quinjet as Tony called it.
"Whats this guy's name again?" Teela asked.
"According to Sean's files he calls him...Scylla." Leo said.
"SHE. Scylla is a female." Sean said on the comms.
"Oh." Leo said.
"Kinda hard to tell. How can you?" Raph asked.
"My eyes tell me everything." Sean said.
"This is incredible. Her radiation is actually stopping the polar ice caps from melting." Donny said.
"Thats what we designed them for. Gramps pretty much figured other species might cause some environmental harm. So the Titans were made to fix those problems." Sean said.
"How Many Titans are there?" Teela asked.
"Hundreds. Most are currently in deep hibernation. Thankfully the Energy we use to breathe also feeds them so they don't need to feed on Radiation." Sean said.
"Wouldn't it ever run out though?" Mikey asked.
"Nope. It's self replenishing. Both the old and the new version." Sean said before some of the ice came down making him jump.
"Hang on a second." Batou said getting a reading. "I got a life sign not far from your position. It's faint." Batou said.
"On it." Sean said as his armor appeared and flew to the location. "So help me by the creators if this is a snow monster or something I'm gonna..." Sean tried to say before he froze at what he was seeing as the others arrived.
"Whoa." Raph said.
In a block of ice was man in a blue white and red uniform with a shield.
"Who the hell is that?" Batou asked.
"Captain Steven Rogers. AKA Captain America. And he's alive." Sean said.
Later
"How do you know this guy anyway?" Teela asked as they were at the Base in New York as Captain America was being unfrozen.
"I knew Captain America back in the day. Remember I moved through universe by Universe in each one that the old man made. And I got to know a lot of people in those days." Sean said.
"Yeah but according to the records this guy went missing in 1943." Motoko said.
"So you were there during those times?" Hank asked.
"Time moves differently for each universe before the Merge." Sean said
"So for you it's been eight years but for him it's been decades." Donny said.
"Exactly. The only Universe that time was irrelevant was the Titan universe since they don't age like humans do. They're millions of years old." Sean said.
"So how is he still alive?" Flash asked.
"The Serum no doubt kept him alive." Sean said walking out.
"It's incredible. A man somehow frozen in ice and still comes out alive." Donny said.
Thats when they noticed his eyes moving.
"Cap? Are you ok?" Batou asked.
"BUCKY!" Steve yelled kicking him back.
"Whoa hold on." Teela said as she blocked his strikes before Donny tried to kick him back but he dodged and punched him into a wall.
"Ow...I can see why Sean respects him." Donny said rubbing his head.
Batou jumped on him but he pinned him to the wall.
"Will you chill out. We're on the same side." Batou said.
"What are you? Some kind of HYDRA merged machine?" Steve asked.
"Not even close. They're called Cybernetics." Batou said.
Thats when a hand grabbed him making Steve punch who it was but Sean just caught his hand.
"Easy Steve." Sean said.
"Who..." Steve tried to say before looking closer at him. "Sean?" Steve asked surprised.
"Been a long time." Sean said.
"You look..." Steve said.
"Older? Thats what happens for you when eight years have gone by...At least for me. You much longer." Sean said walking to a computer.
"What do you mean?" Steve asked.
"Cap...The year is 2024. You've been on ice for a long time." Motoko said shocking him.
"And things have changed. Remember when I told you all the universes my grandfather made?" Sean asked.
"Yeah." Steve said.
"Look outside." Sean said getting him to do so and gasped seeing everything being so different.
"The universes Arthur made merged...There was something that poisoned the energy Immortals use to breathe. So they had to do this to survive." Donny said.
"Theres a lot you need to catch up on old man. But one thing you should know. HYDRA is still around." Sean said making him narrow his eyes.
"What about Bucky?" Steve asked.
"Well, There was never any sign of his body like you...So it is possible he survived the explosion and ended up in the same situation as you. Or he could have just lived off the grid to live a normal life after you vanished. It could be any number of things. One thing is certain though. The world still needs you. Now more than ever." Sean said.
Later
Sean sighed as he was resting in the mansion alone while everyone else was out and Steve was going to see if any of his old buddies were still around.
"You look tired." Janet said.
"You have no idea. I knew this job was gonna be a pain when I first took it but I have to since I'm the only one who can. Since I know everything about the universes that merged." Sean said.
"How did that start by the way. Dom says you came to his first." Janet said.
"Again completely by accident 8 years ago." Sean said.
"Wait...So you were ten when that happened?" Janet asked.
"Yup." Sean said before alarms went off. "Oh now what?" Sean asked as they walked around.
Thats when they found some gooey looking thing.
"Ewwww!" Janet said. (Imagine seeing that thing in real life. Dough boy from Marvel. UGH!)
"Ok...Thats...Wait a fucking minute. I know that thing." Sean said.
"You would my old friend."
Sean widened his eyes before seeing Zemo.
"Hello Kruger. It's been a long time." Zemo said.
Sean roared before his armor appeared charging at him.
"Wow those two have issues." Wasp said blasting the monster.
Sean tried to slash at Zemo who dodged his strikes with some difficulty.
"How the fuck are you still alive Zemo?" Sean asked annoyed.
"Death means nothing to me. Though I suppose I should be thanking you. The last time we met you lost just a simple drop of blood. It was enough for Zola to use on me to give me an extended period of life and cure my disease. Of which I will repay you for." Zemo said taking a swing at him but Sean blocked with his arm. "And now I have a new Universe to conquer. One of which will be devoid...OF ALL IMMORTALS!" Zemo yelled about to strike him.
Only for someone to kick him away.
"I think not."
Sean looked seeing a man in metal armor with red glowing eyes.
"Hello Saki." Sean said seeing one of his mentors.
"It's been a long time Kruger." Saki said.
"I don't know who you are but you will not get in my way of revenge." Zemo said.
"Oh but I think I will. For now you face...THE SHREDDER!" Shredder yelled charging at him with Ninjutsu skills while Sean had a cannon appear on his shoulder and started blasting at him making him growl in annoyance.
"As always my old friend you prove how much of an annoyance you are." Zemo said.
"Look who's talking. I don't know what game your up to Zemo but even your not stupid enough to take me on alone with something so pathetic as that." Sean said seeing Janet destroy his creature.
"Oh...If only you knew." Zemo said before an explosive device was seen in the remains.
"Oh boy." Janet said as she flew back to Sean as he cover her as it went off.
Shredder growled as they pushed the rubble off them.
"Coward." Shredder said.
"You expect anything less from the stories I told you?" Sean asked.
"Who the hell was that?" Janet asked.
"That was Zemo. One of the heads of HYDRA during the Second World War from your universe." Sean said.
"So why did he come to pick a fight with you?" Janet asked.
"They have...A history." Shredder said knowing from the stories.
"So who are you by the way. I never heard of a hero like you." Janet said.
"Oh he's no hero. Far from it. He's an old mentor of mine who taught me martial arts from his universe which Leo and his brothers came from as well." Sean said.
"Oh." Janet said.
"I came by for a simple visit. I did not expect you to fight someone who should have been long dead." Shredder said.
"I thought I was very careful in those days but apparently not enough if he got a sample of my blood. The others won't like this. Not one bit." Sean said.
Later
"Zemo got a sample of your blood? When?" Hank asked.
"From the last time we fought. I got grazed but I didn't notice till later. He must have found the drop and brought it back to Zola." Sean said.
"And who is this Shredder?" Motoko asked.
"An old mentor of mine who taught me how to fight. And no...He's no hero. The opposite. As I said I learned a lot from a lot of people. Good and bad. Even the worst people can be good teachers." Sean said.
"You are still evil." Omi said.
"At least I'm not selfish." Sean said shocking him.
"Ouch." Clay said.
"I am not selfish. I care about my friends all the time." Omi said.
"Caring and supporting are not the same thing. You focus on your accomplishments more than others and when I suspect if you ever advanced in rank and another didn't you would brag about how superior you are and make them feel worse just to make yourself feel better." Sean said. (Which he did which was the Reason Raimundo turned evil in the first place)
"YOU LIE!" Omi yelled before Sean kicked him into a wall making him groan.
"My people never lie...Period." Sean said walking away.
"Kid you got to knock that shit off." Hellboy said.
"But he is wrong. I care for my friends deeply. It's...Just I take pride in my accomplishments." Omi said.
"And what about theirs?" Hank asked making him frown.
"But I have done this longer." Omi said.
"See there it is. Only you matter perspective." Raph said.
"You need to let that go or you're gonna push people away from you or worse. Push them to the other side." Leo said as they left. (Again I'm not trying to make him evil but we all know he's a bit selfish from time to time without realizing it)
Later
"That did not go as I thought." Zemo said to Cobra Commander while XANA appeared on a the screen.
"I warned you Kruger had allies all over the universe. It was unsurprising that one of them was in New York." Cobra Commander said.
"And even if he didn't it's far from easy to destroy an Immortal. Especially one who's bloodline is from the strongest of the race." XANA said.
"True. But this also proves that both HYDRA and COBRA and you my friend are not enough to take on the Legion by ourselves. We need to start recruiting as they are no doubt doing. Otherwise this war against them...Will be more difficult than it currently is." Zemo said.
Author's note: Next Chapter We head to Berk and meet an old man incapable of accepting change. This takes place in the first season of how to train your dragon. Also just letting you know theres gonna be a lemon. But for now I'm gonna be gone till next week since an issue with my family came up. So I'll be gone till then. Read, Review, Vote, Fav and Follow.
