Loki watched as the woman in front of her introduced herself as Tanya.

Needless to say, the woman was hot and her type.

As for the two dead thugs she killed, it's alright since that just made her hotter.

"Is there something on my face?"

Tanya questioned Loki.

Loki recovered from her thoughts.

"Sorry, was thinking for a moment. Would you like me to help you get rid of the bodies?"

Tanya seemed to smile.

This woman was willing to be her accomplice.

That made things easier.

"I would like that but I don't think there's anywhere to hide two bodies here. It's best to just find a new place to live."

Loki could agree with that since she didn't have much in her shack.

"That's a great idea."

Tanya started digging through the two thugs.

Loki watched as Tanya collected very few Valis from them.

She then watched as Tanya started to skin them.

Her eyes widened slightly with shock.

"Might I ask why you're doing that?"

Tanya smiled at her.

"Wouldn't want anyone connecting these murders to us, do we? Gotta make it look like some serial killer who enjoys skinning people did this."

Loki gulped a little, Tanya seemed scary.

After Tanya was done skinning them into a gruesome mess, she started walking away and Loki followed after her.

"Say, are you in a Familia?"

Although Tanya didn't know what a Familia was, she did know that she wasn't in one.

"No."

Loki became surprised.

A skilled cold-blooded killer like Tanya wasn't actually in one.

"Uhm, would you like to join my Familia?"

Tanya stopped and looked at Loki suspiciously.

This Familia thing sounded like some criminal gang.

It most likely is since the woman in front of her didn't seem too disturbed by what Tanya did.

With how backwater this city was and based on what she saw, corruption was deep in this city if thugs could go around harassing people like the woman in front of her.

Joining them would definitely be a double-edged sword.

"Could you tell me more about your Familia?"

Loki became bright.

It seemed Tanya was interested.

Time to use a hook line and sinker.

Tanya watched as Loki proceeded to paint a picture of her Familia.

She quickly understood it wasn't a criminal gang like she thought it was.

From what she could tell.

Joining a well-reputed one would be hard.

Loki was a new starter.

Also, she could probably spite Being X by joining Loki.

Tanya touched her chin.

"Hmmm, I never knew a Familia was that way since I've never joined one. Could you tell me everything you can about it so I can come to a better decision?"

Loki saw that Tanya was telling the truth and obliged.

She told Tanya about how Familia had members, adventurers that grew stronger through level-ups, monsters, Falna, and many other things.

A mad grin formed on Tanya's face and Loki became disturbed.

Tanya could join as the first one, become a veteran, and then retire while watching new Familia members bring in money.

It would absolutely be Subarashi!

How exploitative! cough! how honorable!

Tanya took Loki's hand with a grin.

"I would love to join your Familia!"

The next thing Loki knew, she was on Tanya's naked back in the alley.

Things were going fast.

Tanya was mostly sure she could trust everything Loki said since she cross-examined Loki's information with everything she had learned so far.

She was somewhat paranoid that Being X would somehow be Loki in disguise but she squashed that with logic.

Being X was low, but most likely not that low.

The only thing Loki seemed to be lying about was the glamour of her Familia.

There were also other reasons why Tanya agreed to join Loki.

Although Loki was a goddess, she physically existed so Tanya could beat her up.

There was also the fact that Loki was her accomplice in murder.

Needless to say, Tanya had leverage over Loki unlike she would with other gods.

Loki made a Falna on Tanya's back and found that Tanya had a skill.

Her first Familia member had a skill.

Could this day get any better?

"Are you finished?"

Hearing Tanya's question, Loki got off her back.

She started explaining Tanya's stats and skill.

Her skill was called Frenzy.

It boosted her stats significantly in life-threatening situations.

Tanya groaned inside, what a vague skill that basically encouraged her to ride or die.

"Let's get me set up for the dungeon, tell me everything about it."

The two walked towards the Guild as Loki explained the first level of the dungeon excitedly.

She didn't even realize that Tanya didn't know about the the first level of the dungeon which should be common knowledge.

Seeing a food stand, Tanya bought some food for her and Loki.

The two ate as Tanya continued learning more from Loki.

Soon they reached the adventurers guild and Tanya was given an advisor.

Loki left Tanya to go do a side gig of gambling with the Valis Tanya had left.

The advisor advised everything they could to Tanya.

From what Tanya could gleam, the first level of the dungeon should be easy for her.

The Falna she had received from Loki had made her stronger.

It also didn't impair her mentally like the blessing, no, curse she received from Being X.

After getting everything she could out of her advisor, Tanya put on the newbie gear.

She was in debt now.

Something she wouldn't be able to pay off without slaving away.

If an accident happen and she could no longer fight, she was basically screwed.

What a terrible first day.

However, a smile settled on her face.

She remembered how she first joined the army as a little kid.

If little kid her was brave enough to put her life on the line for a better life, than so should current older Tanya.
