Tanya watched as a goblin ran towards her.
She looked at it suspiciously and launched her knife into its skull.
It fell to the ground and died.
That was easily, way easier than she expected.
She took her knife out of its eyes and harvested its crystal.
It disappeared into dust.
How convenient, the crystal must be the supplier of the monster's energy.
Tanya heard rushing steps towards her and found another goblin.
She threw her knife into its skull and it died.
Easy, way too easy.
She had a harder time dodging the hail of bullets in Rhine Front than whatever was currently happening.
These goblin didn't even have guns.
Maybe she was just too much for them.
Tanya continued moving.
Every time she encountered a goblin, she threw a knife and ended their life.
The stupid creature just charged trait at her instead of dodging her attack.
It literally saw her raise her knife to throw, did it not think she was going to throw it?
Tanya encountered two goblins and they both charged at her.
She had her trusty knife and a shortsword on her.
Throwing her knife, she killed one of them.
As for the other, her reach with the sword was longer and she easily impaled it in the skull.
She harvested them and moved on.
Goblins after goblins fell.
She mostly encountered them alone.
Guess they had no teamwork.
Listening carefully, Tanya heard multiple footsteps and saw five goblins.
Could she take them all on at once?
Hiding behind a corner, Tanya threw a rock.
The goblins heard the sound and went towards her.
Tanya appeared and used her short sword along with her knife to instantly kill two goblins.
The others were surprised but had no fear.
Tanya pulled her weapons back and finished another in their surprise.
She quickly backed away and ran.
The two goblins left realized and chased after her.
Tanya got enough distance and threw her knife into the skull of one of them.
The last one, she easily killed with her short sword range advantage.
She harvested their crystals and continued on.
After a while, Tanya encountered a Kobold.
Silently, she sneaked towards it.
Suddenly it seemed to smell her and turned towards her.
Before it could react, Tanya had rammed her knife into its skull.
Like she expected, it was tougher than the goblin.
Another one appeared around the corner and charged at her.
Speed was a big advantage of a Kobold.
Tanya got some dirt and threw it in its face.
It tried to block the dirt with its arm.
A mistake as Tanya pushed forward and rammed her short short into its throat.
She harvested the two Kobolds with a frown.
They would prove difficult in groups.
Thinking about the time, Tanya wondered how much time had passed.
She heard a snarl far away.
How stupid could a Kobold be to reveal its position?
The Kobold charged at Tanya.
Tanya threw her knife into its skull.
It fell and struggled for a a moment before it died.
Tanya harvested it and continued on.
Needless to say, her first day in the dungeon was unimpressive.
She wondered what Loki was doing.
Probably waiting for her outside the Guild.
Tanya calculated the crystals she had on her and deemed it was sufficient.
She didn't need to hunt more monsters.
Two Kobolds appeared around the corner and Tanya frowned.
This was going to be difficult.
They rushed at her at once.
Tanya threw her knife and killed one.
The other closed in on her.
It was close combat now.
The Kobold's jaws opened wider to bite her face.
Its claws reach out to tear at her.
Tanya flexed her muscles and calculated the Kobold attack direction.
With great speed, Tanya reacted and rammed her short sword into the Kobold's skull.
It stopped and died.
Tanya frowned, if she had been slower, it would have pushed her to the ground and mauled her.
Speed, she greatly needed speed.
Giving out a sigh, Tanya decided to call it a day and leave the dungeon.
She encountered a few goblins on the way back but easily dealt with them.
Cashing in the crystals, Tanya earned around 3000 Valis.
From what she could tell, a crystal from a Kobold or goblin was worth around 100 Valis.
Based on this, she determined that a level 2 monster was worth around 1000 Valis and a level 3 monster was worth around 10000 Valis.
It was a rough estimate but it'll do.
Tanya left the Guild and saw Loki who greeted her cheerfully.
"I won a thousand Valis, what about you?"
"Three thousand, let's go eat."
The two went towards a fancy restaurant and ordered around a thousand Valis of food.
Loki chugged her drink.
"I thought you would be a money pincher."
Tanya shrugged with a smile.
"Don't know when I'll die. Might as well live like a king."
Loki held out her drink.
"Cheers to that."
Tanya held out her drink.
"And cheers to the start of our relationship."
The two drank and had their fill till they couldn't.
Tanya felt quite lucky to have encountered Loki her first day and Loki felt quite lucky to have encountered Tanya.
The two left the restaurant a little drunk.
Loki was impressed Tanya could drink like her without getting too drunk.
"I thought you would easily get drunk!".
Tanya drank a lot in her past life as a salaryman so she had experience.
She also had to drink a lot when she became a general so her tolerance was quite good.
"I have experience."
The two went towards a tavern and got a room together.
A single night was a thousand Valis.
Needless to say, it was quite expensive.
Even though it wasn't high quality.
Loki updated Tanya's status and became surprised.
Tanya had an aquired magic now.
It seemed as if all Tanya needed was more magic to use magic.
"Now this is a surprise."
"What is it?"
"You've acquired magic."
Loki put all of Tanya's stats onto a page and handed it to her.
Tanya checked her newly acquired magic and found it was called Divine Wings.
