Tanya woke up and looked at Loki who was sleeping.
Come to think of it, wasn't the god Loki suppose to be a man?
Why was Loki a woman?
Tanya realized she couldn't say anything since she was also a man.
Getting up, Tanya went into the bathroom and washed her face.
She went down and got a hearty meal.
A sleepy Loki soon came down and started eating with her.
"What's your plan today?"
"I'm planning on grinding the first floor."
"Grinding?"
"I'll kill as many monster as I can on the first floor."
"Not going to the second floor?"
Tanya shook her head.
"I should still have more room to grow. Once I have no room to grow on the first floor. I'll move on to the second floor."
Loki hummed to herself.
"From what I can tell, you should have no problem with the second floor. The higher the risk, the greater the reward."
Tanya could see Loki's reason and thought about it.
"That's true but let's play it safe for now."
The two finished their food and separated.
Tanya went to the guild and registered in.
It was important so that the guild could know if she didn't return from the dungeon and help could maybe be sent.
On the first floor, Tanya scoured for prey.
She found a goblin that immediately ran at her.
Drawing her knife back, she threw it into the goblin's skull and it died.
Taking back her knife, she proceeded to harvest the goblin.
From what she could tell, it was slightly easier than yesterday.
Tanya continued on and encountered three goblins.
They charged at her.
The first one died to a knife throw.
The second one died to the range of her short sword.
The final third died from Tanya kicking it to the floor and stabbing its skull.
She harvested the three goblins and continued on.
An encounter with a Kobold came.
It charged quickly at her.
She could kill it with her knife but she decided to fight it at close range.
Flexing her muscles, Tanya swung her short sword quickly through the Kobold's neck.
It wasn't as close as yesterday and Tanya could see she had improved.
Now it was time to confirm her magic, Divine Wings.
She harvested the Kobold and continued on.
After a while, she found a goblin.
It charged at her as expected.
Tanya formed a small glowing golden feather-like blade and threw it.
The feather impaled into the goblin's skull and it died.
Tanya smiled, the feather was fast, very fast.
Checking her mind, Tanya could see it didn't mentally exhaust her much.
She harvested the goblin and continued on.
A short while later she found a pile of dead goblins with a man sitting on top.
He had dark blue hair and dark blue eyes.
He turned to her and seemed to recognize her.
Immediately, he stood up menacingly with a smile.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Tanya Von Degurechaff."
Tanya's eyes widened with shock, other than Loki, she hadn't told anyone her name.
She narrowed her eyes at the man.
"Who are you?"
He narrowed his eyes at her and glanced somewhere.
"Hey look, a bird!"
She looked but didn't see any bird.
Feeling dumb, she quickly looked back at him and saw him frowning at her.
He held his chin confused.
"You don't seem to remember me!"
Tanya studied the man carefully, it seemed she was supposed to know him.
"Should I?"
He placed his hand on his heart with an exaggeration of being hurt.
"That's pretty cruel. Nothing less expected from you."
Tanya frowned at him.
"Who are you?"
He smiled like a clown at her.
"It looks like you really don't remember me. Perhaps it was Being X who erased your memory or maybe some other random omnipotent being."
Tanya's eyes widened, how did he know about Being X?!
She became a full-on guard.
He laughed at her.
"Oh, how low the befallen. The mighty Degurechaff, fallen from grace."
He relaxed and didn't seem to take her as a threat anymore.
"I have no interest in fighting someone who doesn't remember their past. Let alone someone who's not half the man they used to be."
Tanya became more shocked.
It seemed he knew she was a man.
"Well then, see you later."
He turned and started walking away.
Tanya had questions, many questions.
She couldn't let him get away.
"Oh, the name's Kuro."
She got his name but that wasn't enough.
"Stop and tell me everything!"
He didn't stop and shrugged his shoulder.
"Not much to tell other than it seems you've lost your memory."
Tanya was not satisfied with that and got ready to attack.
Kuro stopped and looked back.
Tanya became full alert.
He walked back to where he was and started harvesting the goblins.
"Can't believe you made me forget to harvest these goblins. As always, you're a pain in the ass."
Tanya watched him harvest the goblins while feeling lost.
She had many questions.
Who was this man?
How did he know her?
How did he know Being X?
What was his intent?
There were many more questions and she wanted answers.
He finished harvesting the goblins and left.
Tanya didn't attack him.
Since he said he'd see her later, she could dig information out of him then.
Besides, if she killed him, the gods would be able to find out.
Many thoughts flew through her head but Tanya decided to focus on the current objective of the day.
She continued hunting and practicing her magic.
It lifted her mood greatly.
Divine Wings gave her flight capability if she made glowing golden wings behind her back.
The wings could be used offensively and defensively.
However, the mental drain was quite huge so she shouldn't maintain it constantly for too long.
Tanya decided it was better to mainly focus on throwing feathers.
