AN: I've only watched the anime and abridged parody of Danmachi. So I don't really know the full lore. Just like I don't know the full lore of Fate Stay Night other than cool fight scenes.

The Bugbear charged at Darius.

With his skill Brute, he would momentarily have the strength of a level 2.

Plus his beast mode and he would become even stronger.

He had fought the Bugbears many times with his squad.

Their habits and actions had all been memorized by him.

The Bugbear quickly closed in.

Darius activated his beast mode.

He stood his ground and prepared to swing his two axe.

Finn stood close by ready to intervene.

When the Bugbear got close, Darius swung his two axe into it's skull.

The beast slammed and pushed him to the ground.

But it didn't attack since it was already dead.

Darius breathed heavily, he had done it.

Finn came up to him.

"Congratulation Darius."

Darius nodded and Finn helped him up.

"I think you're ready to become a level 2."

Darius grinned at Finn's words.

"It's about time!"

The two headed back to the outpost.

When the next outpost supplies came, Darius and his squad headed back up with Riveria and Gareth.

At the mansion, he got his Falna updated by Loki.

"Congratulations, you're finally level 2. Now let's go celebrate!"

Darius followed Loki with his squad and they celebrated at a restaurant.

He watched awkwardly as Sheyli and Lisa protected themselves from goddess Loki's harassment.

Currently, almost everyone of the original 30 members that joined were level 2.

The two Berserker Squad with five members in each squad had seven level 2s.

The two Fairy Squad with five members in each squad had eight level 2s.

The two Expendable Squad with five members in each squad had nine level 2s.

From what Vice Captain Finn said, once everyone was level 2, they would begin recruitment again.

After recruitment, there will be three people that needed to become level 3s to replace Riveria, Gareth, and Finn so they could head deeper into the dungeon.

Captain Tanya would oversee their training to quickly get them to level 3.

Darius nominated himself as one.

Currently, he was making plenty of Valis but he wanted more for his village.

Most his income was sent to his village with his needs being taken care of by the Familia.

From the letters he got from his village and family, all of them were doing well.

Especially since money from Orario was worth a lot outside.

Far away by the dungeon entrance was a stall.

It was a fortune telling stall.

Inside the stall was Kuro who was sleeping.

An elf lady by the name of Nena came up to the stall.

She was curious about the stall since she hadn't ever seen a fortune telling stall till today.

The man sleeping in the stall was recognized by her and she rang the bell in the stall.

Kuro opened his eyes with a yawn and looked at her.

She took out one thousand Valis and handed it to him.

He took the Valis and scrutinized her.

Nena sweat dropped, her gear probably made him think she was a level 2.

It's not her fault her Familia was well off.

"Is this lady in front of me a level 1?"

Kuro flipped a coin and it landed on heads.

Which most likely meant she was a level 1.

Any level 1 that wanted him to tell their fortune needed 1000 Valis, any level 2 that wanted him to tell their fortune needed 10000 Valis, and so on.

She was his first customer.

Kuro took out a stack of 77 cards and shuffled it.

He laid them out on their back before her.

"Pick a card, but don't look at it."

Nena looked at the cards and became excited.

She didn't take herself for a superstitious person but this seemed fun.

Going with her gut feeling, she picked a card and didn't look at it.

Kuro took the card.

"Did she pick the right card?"

He flipped his coin and it landed on heads.

Kuro turned the card and looked at it.

"It says you'll find a rare drop."

Kuro placed the card back down without showing her and took his card back.

Nena stared at him blankly.

"Is that all?"

Kuro nodded his head.

Nena felt like this was a scam and decided to just leave.

Although she didn't know it, Kuro also found his fortune telling skeptical.

The way it worked was through Enhance and Diminish.

He could enhance the probability of the right card being picked and diminish the probability of the wrong cards being picked.

Basically, his fortune telling was backed by his magic, which was backed by his Falna, which was backed by Daddy Loki, who was backed by the heavens, which was backed by the world.

Right now, Kuro was just testing it out.

If it was fraudulent, that simply meant this world was fraudulent.

Another fool, customer came up.

A Beast Human who just wanted to try it out for the fun of it.

Kuro looked at the card they picked.

"It says you're going to receive a grievous injury."

The Beast Human found it interesting and moved on.

A party came up next.

The party leader who seemed to be a mage picked a card.

Kuro looked at the card they picked.

"You picked a pretty nasty card, are you sure you want to hear about it?"

They found Kuro's words ominous.

"Yes."

"It says you're going to die today from a Monster Parade."

Another one of them stepped up.

"Let me go next."

Kuro nodded and shuffled the cards.

They picked a card.

"It says you're going to die today from a Monster Parade."

Another one picked a card.

"It says you're going to die today from a Monster Parade."

Kuro's ominous words seemed to have shook them and they decided not to go into the dungeon.

"You should all know, but maybe you all dying from a Monster Parade would have saved other adventurers that would have encountered it."

They looked deadpanned at Kuro and left.

More fools, customers showed up.
