One-shot XX: Drawings.
Izumi walked around hugging her turtle duck stuffed animal, holding hands with her brother who proudly showed a large piece of paper with a very colorful drawing to everyone he saw. It was a drawing of his family, detailed enough for an eight-year-old boy. The twins were going to see their parents who had finished an important meeting with someone from another nation, they thought it was from the Water Tribe because uncle Sokka took care of them for a while, it had not been like last time, although Fofo seemed very happy in the palace.
Sokka had gone with them to their playroom with Katara, they took turns to look after them and after a while they decided that Bumi would be a good babysitter. Although it was not so, because the twins were about to arrive at his father's office.
They let go of their hands in front of the door and Izumi knocked slowly.
"Come in" Aang's voice was heard, and the twins opened the door "hi, kids"
"I thought you were playing in your playroom" Zuko spoke looking at the kids, they just gave them a nervous smile "what did bring you here?"
"We have something nice" Izumi spoke approaching to her parents "I have a turtle duck, Aunt Katara gave it to me"
"And I have this" Tenzin raised the drawing proudly and the adults looked at it curiously.
"It seems that Sokka has improved" Aang whispered, although the kids heard him.
"Is that ugly?" he asked disappointed, lowering the drawing "I did it by myself"
"It's not ugly, it looks great" Zuko approached to Tenzin kissing his forehead.
"Uncle Sokka draws like a five year old boy" Izumi teased as Aang also approached to them "that looks like a... like from a ten year old boy."
"You have a higher level than your uncle. Sorry, I wanted to make a joke and it wasn't funny."
"No, it wasn't" Tenzin said still a bit annoyed "then is it pretty?"
"Very pretty" Aang continued.
"Epic" his sister followed him.
Suddenly, they heard someone running towards them, the adults turned their attention on the door when it slammed open.
"Uncles! I have news for you, it depends on you if they are good or bad" Bumi cried, who seemed to have trouble staying calm, but when everything fell into an awkward silence, Bumi saw the twins with their parents "this, well I, I wanted t-to say that…"
"Don't you have any news?" Aang asked a little sarcastic, he knew that he should keep an eye on the twins.
"If you give me twenty seconds, I'll think of one."
"You lost my children too" Aang muttered holding back a laugh, although Zuko laughed too.
"Sorry! I just turned around for a second and then, they were gone."
"Okay, they didn't go too far, besides, I know you're a bit distracted" Zuko said, comforting his nephew a bit, while Aang sighed laughing a little.
"We'll get new babysitters."
