Yang Xiao Long was getting suspicious of Ruby. Everyday, her younger sister would walk into the forest with a book or a jar of cookies.

"What are you doing?" she asked one day.

"Just going out into the woods," replied Ruby.

"Okay are you hiding something?" asked Yang with suspicion.

"No, why would I? I gotta go," said Ruby, and she ran out the front door and into the woods.

Yang decided that it was time for her to discover what her sister was hiding.

In the woods, Stryker was hunting. At a year old, he was now 19 ft long and weighting at 1 ton. He found a deer, and he was currently chasing it. He lost the element of surprise when he partly tripped on a log and alerted the deer. At a cliff, he found a stone with strange markings on it he believed Ruby called "words".

Ruby had sometimes brought books into the woods. Stryker kept letting Ruby come closer to him every time she visited him, but not enough to touch him. He was able to look at the strange things that were called "books" and he actually learned to read a bit. On the stone, it said

Summer Rose Thus Kind, I Scatter.

Rose, thought Stryker, why does that sound familiar? Ruby just then came up right next to Stryker. It looked like he didn't notice, but he did, he just let her this close.

"That's where my mom lies," said Ruby, "She was amazing. She was like a super mom. She baked cookies, and she slayed monsters all in the same day. I never really knew her that well. One day she went on a mission and she never came back."

Ruby started to tear up. Just then, an Ursa appeared and roared at the two. Stryker roared back and charged, but the Ursa was prepared. The Grimm swiped a claw at Stryker's face, knocking him down. The Ursa then started clawing at Stryker's body. Ruby was scared.

She picked up a rock and threw it at the Ursa and said, "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

Which was kind of a stupid thing to do. The Ursa now focused it's attention to Ruby. Ruby didn't know what to do, but she didn't need to do anything. Stryker came from behind and bit the back of the neck of the Ursa. It wasn't hard for him to break the armor of the neck seeing as he had the jaw power of a T rex. The Ursa was killed, and Stryker let out a triumphant roar.

"YOU DID IT!" cried Ruby with excitement.

Stryker then looked to Ruby, and he slowly walked up to him. He stopped at an arm length away from Ruby, and she put a hand out, closing her eyes. Stryker didn't know about this. The last time something like this happened, the human almost lost his arm. So Stryker then moved forward, letting Ruby's hand touch his snout. Ruby opened her eyes and gasped. She was smiling, because Stryker had finally accepted her.

"Ruby!" said a voice.

Ruby and Stryker turned to see a Blonde 14 year old girl standing there. Yang had expected Ruby to have like a kitten or something like that. She did not expect her to have a giant scaly animal with razor sharp claws and teeth. Stryker looked at her with suspicion.

"It's okay," said Ruby, "She's my sister."

"Ruby, what is that?" asked Yang.

Ruby sighed knowing she couldn't lie out of this one. She then told Yang about how she met Stryker and how they grew closer over the course of the past few days.

"Please don't tell dad," asked Ruby.

"Okay, I won't," said Yang, "but when were you going to tell us?"

"I didn't know how you guys would react," replied Ruby.

"So when do you plan on telling dad?"

"Soon. For now, let's keep him as our secret."
