Weiss was walking up from her sleep. She yawned and what she saw was reasonable, because she screamed when she saw a massive line of teeth staring right at her. Team RWBY got a special dorm, one big enough for Stryker to fit in. Weiss fell out of bed and everyone laughed. Stryker choffed like he was laughing. Weiss would have scolded him, but a growl from him shut her up right away.
"Alright," said Ruby, "first order of business is decorating."
"What?" asked Weiss.
"We still need to unpack," said Blake.
After unpacking, and making bunk beds, the team realized the time and hurried off to get to class on time with JNPR behind them. Stryker, meanwhile, headed off to the forest to feed.
While hunting, he found some larger animals that could satisfy his hunger. One with a strange crest on it's head and a flat beak like a duck's.
Stryker slowly walked behind it, and before it could run, he grabbed it with his hands and pinned it to the ground.
"Sorry, nothing personal," said Stryker, as he bite the neck and broke it.
"Nice kill," said a voice.
Stryker turned to see what looked to see three small dinosaurs with large sickle claws on their feet and a black creature with a yellow stripe on it.
"Careful," said the brown one, "That's the Indominus Rex."
"How do you know my species?" asked Stryker.
The others were less tense now after hearing his voice.
"Oh, wait," said the green one, "this is a different one."
Stryker walked slowly up to the black creature. "What are you?" he asked.
"I'm Echo, and these are my sisters, Delta and Charlie, we are called Velociraptors."
"Well," said Stryker, "nice to meet you all. Care to join me for lunch as friends?"
They all agreed and talked with one another, telling how they were brought to Remanent. Stryker had so much fun, he didn't even notice the sun setting.
"Sorry guys," said Stryker, "I've gotta go."
"Why?" asked Charlie, "you just got here."
"I have some humans to see. I owe them everything. If it weren't for them, I'd probably be dead."
"We were once raised by a human," said Delta, "he cared for us and trained us. He was like our father. I hope Blue is taking good care of him."
"Well," said Bruiser, "let's not let you keep them waiting. See you again."
"You too!" said Stryker as he walked off back to Beacon.
Stryker used his nose to find Ruby, and he found Weiss scowling her again.
"Honestly," said Weiss, "I deserve better. Ozpin made a mistake!"
What was her problem? She was mean, bratty, constantly putting Ruby down, and it was PISSING him off. Stryker then stomped over, grabbed Weiss and pinned her to the wall.
If it not for Ruby right there, he probably would've killed Weiss. So instead, he let out an ear per-icing roar right in her face. Weiss, who turned white to match her dress and hair at the moment, then ran off.
"Thanks for not killing her," said Ruby.
Stryker then looked over to Ruby and licked her face.
"Well, that didn't go as planned."
The two looked over to see Professor Ozpin walking over to them.
"Is she right?" asked Ruby, "did you make a mistake?"
"That still remains to be said," replied Ozpin, "Ruby, you are willing to accept anyone for who they are, no matter how different they are. But that is not the only reason I made you leader."
"What's the other reason?"
"Him," said Ozpin, pointing to Stryker.
"It must've taken you weeks, if not months, to earn his trust. He looks to you as an alpha. With Stryker at your side, you really do have the makings of a true leader."
Ruby then smiled and said, "Thank you Ozpin."
Stryker then got down, and motioned Ruby to climb on his back.
"Alright!" said Ruby, "I'll ride you! Back to the Dorm!"
In the dorm, when everyone but Weiss was asleep, the said girl came and talked to Ruby. Stryker was a bit tense, but seeing her make Ruby not sad made him calm down. After Weiss was done talking with Ruby, she turned to Stryker and said to him, "I'm... sorry for making her mad."
Stryker responded with a nod and a sniff, showing that she was cool. He then went to sleep, ready for the next day ahead.
