Here we go with chapter 3. In this chapter, Alex and Hannah finally see the sanctuary , and meet Hannah's family, as well as go on their first date, and later will finally put on their skins for the first time and hunt. But they might not be alone out there. Remember what Father Landis said about hunters. Be warned, this chapter contains nudity, including underage nudity, plus some touching of privates. But no sex...yet.
Anyway, here we go. Enjoy!!
Chapter 3
Alex and Hannah had expected the sanctuary to look lived in, seeing as it had lots of werewolves, and, according to Hannah, some vampires, but they hadn't expected it to look like what they now saw. Where they had expected to see maybe rows of bunk beds and a few lunch tables, they saw a large, magnificent hall, almost like a mall, with brightly polished floors and ceiling, and even a small garden in the center, surrounded by benches, a couple of which were occupied by people who looked up as they entered. The hall had many doors, presumably leading to the living quarters of the residents, and, looking up, they saw a second floor, with a walkway looking down, again reminding Alex of a mall.
Father Landis laughed at their shocked expressions. "Amazing, isn't it? It took years to build, and it was hard getting the materials down here in secret. Everybody who has come here over the past decade has leant a hand. Luckily a few of our residents are construction workers, and one an engineer who helped draw the blueprints. Of course, it was hard doing all this work in secret, trying to avoid noise. Naturally we had to do most of it at night, or days when the church was closed."
Hannah turned to him, her eyes still wide with surprise. "How far down are we? Are we below the town?"
He shrugged. "About halfway down. Not sewer level, just about a quarter mile down beneath the deepest basement. Don't worry, everybody here can be as loud as they want, play music, whatever they like. Nobody can hear."
"How do you get electricity down here?", Alex asked, looking at the bright lights all over the room. There were so many light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, it was like staring into the sun.
Father Landis laughed again. "We have a generator in the utilities room. And a couple extra just in case. That way, even if the church, or worse, the whole block aboveground loses power, we'll always have light, heat, and water down here. Now, come meet some of our residents while i try and find Mr and Mrs Stoneman. "
He led the way to the garden, and the people sitting on the benches. As he walked off to find Hannah's family, the people introduced themselves. One man, a tall, dark-skinned man in his mid-twenties, introduced himself as Jamal, and had been a werewolf for three years. His hair was short on top, but long and braided in back.
Another, a middle-aged man probably in his late fifties with long white hair and a beard, introduced himself as Lonnie. He'd been living down here almost since the sanctuary started. Apparently he was one of the construction workers Landis had mentioned. He certainly looked it: despite his age, he had very muscular arms and legs, and his weathered skin had the look of a man who had worked outdoors most of his life.
The third person, a woman of about thirty, introduced herself as Angelica. She had black hair, in a pixie cut, and emerald green eyes. With her thin face, small nose, and skinny arms and legs, and black skirt, she looked like a model. Apparently she had only been turned about a year ago.
"I really hate it down here though, nothing to do really, but if what Father Landis said about hunters is true, it's the safest place ", she said. She had a nasaly voice, which made Alex think of cartoon characters. "I honestly don't know what to do. My boyfriend convinced me to let him turn me, once he revealed he was a werewolf, and I eventually let him. Now, after about a year down here, my boyfriend went to the surface with a few others, looking for supplies, but they never came back. That was almost two weeks ago. I want to go out and look for him, but I'm scared to be honest. And if we don't get those supplies soon, we'll starve. Father Landis brings what he can,but he's only one man, and very busy."
"Do a lot of people go missing from here?", Hannah asked. Alex could tell she was thinking about her family. At Angelica's words, Alex himself was worried what might happen if Colin and Martin came here, not to mention himself...
Lonnie shrugged. "Only those who venture outside, and even then not very often. We didn't start noticing missing people until we heard the stories of hunters. But of course hunters mostly stick to the woods, or cemeteries, or other areas with werewolf activity. I've been a werewolf for the better half of my life, and never met a hunter. But when i left the city and came here for a change of scenery, i started hearing more and more of hunters and government agents looking for werewolves and other supernatural creatures. The things you hear about what hunters do, and the experiments the government do, it's enough to make you GLAD to live underground. I don't know what would be worse: having my head mounted on some hunter's wall, or strapped to a table and have scientists cut me up for so-called science. "
Jamal laughed. "Oh come on, Lonnie. Don't scare the poor kids, they only just arrived. Besides, I'm sure not EVERYBODY who doesn't come back got whacked by hunters or snatched by government folk. Maybe some were just homesick, and decided to go back to their own crib for a bit. I mean, it's nice and clean and quiet down here, but sometimes I too think about going to live topside for a bit. I mean, going out only at night to put on the werewolf skin and crawl around on the dirt, then coming back underground, just to do it all over again, is a drag. I mean, i miss playing basketball. I miss talking to my patients."
"Patients? You were a doctor?", Alex asked.
Jamal shook his head. "A nurse, actually. But we have some doctors down here too, in case of an emergency. I mean, once they decided to build this place, over the next ten years we've gotten at least one or two people from every job. Doctor. Chef. Electrician. Plumber. Carpenter. Mechanics. I think we've even got a makeup artist and hair stylist here, used to work with movie stars."
Alex looked around the large room again, amazed. He stared down the mall-like hallway, at the many doors in the sides. It seemed to stretch on forever. "Exactly how big IS this place? How far under the city does it go?"
"Good question. " Came a voice from behind them. Alex turned around. Father Landis had returned. "Like i said, the original room was built as a secret warehouse during prohibition. At that time it was about as big as your average bank vault. Then when werewolves started showing up, they started making it bigger, adding more and more rooms. I'd say now it's about the size of two football stadiums, two and a half. Half of it probably goes under the next town. As you can see we have rooms upstairs too." He pointed at the walkway above. He then turned to Hannah. "Your parents and brother are coming, miss Stoneman. Wait right here. I'm afraid i must go attend to some business. But please, enjoy yourselves. I see you've already made some friends. " After saying hello to Lonnie, Jamal and Angelica, he walked off.
Seconds later, three people stepped out of one of the rooms and rushed forward. Hannah gasped, but smiled and rushed forward, throwing her arms around them one at a time. "Mom, dad!! Luke!!! Oh god, I've missed you all so much!!! I have so much to tell you!! Alex, come here!!"
Alex walked over to meet Hannah's family. She introduced them one by one. All of them had the same dark hair. Her father, Frank, was a tall man, with brown eyes, and muscular arms. His hair was long, and he had a small beard. Her mother, Leah, had the same green eyes as Hannah, and the same facial features as her daughter. Her brother, Luke, was a mix of Hannah and her father, with Hannah's eyes, her father's unkempt hair, and the beginnings of a beard. He had the build of a young quarterback, and had a sharktooth earring in one ear. All three of them smiled and greeted Alex.
"Alex lives next door to me, with Colin and Marta. He's their nephew. Alex is my... Well, my boyfriend. We're going to the movies after we get done here. He's a werewolf too. Colin and Marta are too. "
Her parents looked at each other. "Boyfriend?", her mother repeated, shocked. "We leave you alone for a little over a week, and you have a BOYFRIEND?"
Frank put a hand on her shoulder. "Now now, dear, I'm sure it's ok. Colin and Marta are good people. I'm sure their nephew is too. Colin and Marta helped us out a lot when we needed it. Are they here, by the way?"
Alex and Hannah both shook their heads. "No, not yet", Alex said. "See, the thing is, last night, Hannah and I both took their skins, and wore them so they couldn't turn. We though if they couldn't put them on, it would cure them. We thought it worked, but this morning they were very sick, and we think they'll get worse unless they turn tonight. "
Hannah's parents looked at each other again, surprised. "Wait a second, if they're werewolves too, and you both are, why did you try to cure them?", asked Frank.
Alex and Hannah looked at each other, not sure how to respond. Alex started to explain, but Hannah spoke up first.
"Well, see, mom, dad, Alex wasn't a werewolf when he first arrived. He didn't even know Marta and Colin were werewolves until a few days later. He didn't know i was one, until last night. See, I was one the one that bit him. I didn't mean to, i lost control. I'd only just been turned the night before. " Alex heard her voice start to break as she finished, and could tell she was about to cry again. He reached out and took her hand.
Frank sighed, and Leah shook her head. Luke, meanwhile, laughed. "Wow, sis, barely a week alone, and you already have a boyfriend, AND your first sire. Even I haven't sired another werewolf. Good work!!" He clapped his sister on the shoulder.
Frank turned to his son. "This isn't FUNNY, Luke. What will happen when his parents come pick him up? What happens when he returns to his own town? How will he keep his secret? i doubt his town has its own sanctuary. "
Alex hadn't thought about any of that. Eventually, his parents were going to come back to pick him up. What WOULD he do at night there, in his hometown? He knew no werewolves back home, hadn't even BELIEVED in them until he got here. Worse, the only wildlife back home were pigeons and dogs, both pet dogs and wild. No deer, no foxes or rabbits, nothing for a growing werewolf to feed on. Plus, his parents would absolutely hit the ceiling if, or rather, WHEN they found out his secret.
Worst of all, however, Alex knew he wouldn't see Hannah back home, unless she found a way to visit him there. Which was unlikely. He couldn't bear the thought of never seeing her again. What could he do?
As if reading his mind, Hannah squeezed his hand tighter and faced her parents. "We'll figure it out, dad. Don't worry. All of us. Alex and I are going to go out together tonight, our first night as werewolves. AND as a couple. And we're going to tell Colin and Marta about the sanctuary, so they can come down here too. Together, we'll all figure out what to do when Alex's parents come."
Alex was glad to hear that, but he still knew his parents would try to bring him home. What could he say to get them to let him stay longer? To learn more about life as a werewolf? And more importantly, to be with Hannah?
Luke smiled at his sister. "So, tonight is your first night hunting? Why don't we meet up? Me, mom and dad will swing by the old place, bring our skins. We'll hunt as a family. "
Hannah smiled back. "That's what i was planning. But Alex wants to come too, and his aunt and uncle. They don't know they're still werewolves, but we're going to tell them, after Alex and I get back from our date. Speaking of, we should get going.", she added, turning to Alex.
"Whoa, hang on, hun, let's show the kids what the rooms look like", Frank said to his wife. "If Hannah is going to come live here, she should know what her new room is gonna look like. "
Hannah started to protest, but her parents both grabbed her and started guiding her to one of the doors off the side of the hall.
Alex followed, Luke walking beside him. Luke turned to Alex and laughed. "So, you and my little sister, huh?"
Alex shrugged. "Yeah, sorta. I mean we've kissed a few times, and are going to the movies or lunch after we get done here. It's just a little weird, with her being practically my neighbor, and I'll have to go home eventually. I'm really not sure how that's going to work out. "
Luke laughed again. "I know how you feel. Before i moved down here, I had quite a few relationships with girls at my high school. I was what they call a heartthrob, i guess. Tried out for the football team just to get to know the cheerleaders. They're always all over the players. Pretty sure i left a lot of broken hearts when i disappeared down here. Some of them would probably kill me if the hunters didn't. "
Alex shook his head. "Wow. Lucky you. Hannah is my FIRST girlfriend. But i really like her, REALLY. She's really cool, and nice, and funny and brave and... well, you probably know, she's your sister. I just like spending time with her,and can't wait to go on our date, or go werewolfing tonight. I'm just worried i won't see her again when my parents come. It'll hurt having to say goodbye, but..." he stopped in front of the door Hannah and her parents went through. " But I'm worried it will hurt HER more.", he finished.
Luke nodded. For a few seconds he looked at the floor. Alex could tell he was thinking of how to reply. Finally he shrugged ." Well, kid, that's life. Shit happens. Good AND bad. Sometimes they are interchangeable. Like being a werewolf. Depending how you see it, it's a blessing, or curse, or both. It all depends what you do with it. Same as love. Just like being a werewolf, if you don't use it right, you probably don't deserve it. That's what you need to ask yourself: Do You?"
He patted Alex on the shoulder, and opened the door, and Alex saw the room that lay behind. Again, Alex was surprised. Instead of a bunch of cots or bunk beds, instead he saw a large, well-lit room, with a long table and chairs, probably for meals, and a ping-pong table and TV off to one side. The room was carpeted, unlike the hall, and he saw that actual beds had been placed at each end of the room, along with a wardrobe. A door, probably leading to a bathroom, was also located at each end. Alex stared at the room in amazement.
"Alex!!" He turned to see Hannah beckoning him from one of the beds on the right. Her parents stood by her.
Alex walked up to her. She smiled. "Pretty neat huh? I never expected the sanctuary to be this awesome, or look this comfortable. I can't wait to move down here!!"
Her mother gestured around the room. "This is where your father and i sleep, in this bed. We share this side with the Creightons, they sleep in the other bed across from us. We also share the bathroom. Across the hall are the Bates, they're an elderly couple, and keep mostly to themselves. There's no room for you in our bed, Hannah, but you can probably take the one across from the Bates, that one's empty. I'm sure they won't mind sharing the bathroom. There's a ping-pong table over there, and i think one of the other rooms has a pool table, and..."
"Mom?", Hannah interrupted. "Where are Alex and his aunt and uncle going to stay? Where will their room be, when they come to live here?" She looked at Alex as she asked that. Alex had to admit, he was curious about that too. But then he remembered, he probably wouldn't get to move down here, because his parents would probably be back to bring him home soon. Away from Hannah. Away from this awesome, strange new world he had discovered...
Leah frowned. "Um, i don't know, Hannah, but I'm pretty sure they'll find a room. There's so many, and some beds have probably never been slept in at all. I know they'll find something. "
Luke reappeared and placed a hand on Alex's shoulder. "Well, Alex can stay with me. I share a room with Jamal. You already met him, right? Our beds are across from each other. We share the bathroom on that side. But the beds across the hall aren't taken. You can have one. Me and Jamal have been looking for a new roommate. Our room has an air hockey table, you'll like it. "
Alex smiled, happy for the offer, but decided to tell the truth. "Thanks, but i probably won't be moving down here. My parents are coming back soon, remember? I really wish I could stay down here, at least for a while. It's nice, really. But I can't. But I'm sure Marta and Colin will like it."
Alex saw the sad look on Hannah's face as he said this. He looked away. He couldn't bear to see the pain in her eyes.
Luke clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Well, if you change your mind, or if they can't come, the beds always open. I'm going to go play a game with Jamal and the guys. Wanna come?"
Alex was about to make an excuse when Hannah stood up. "Actually, me and Alex have to get lunch and go to the movies. We'll meet you guys later before we go hunt. We have to stop by Alex's place and get his aunt and uncle, they still don't know they're still werewolves. I'll see you guys later. "
Hannah gave her parents and brother one last hug. Luke promised to stop by before night to help her pack to move to the sanctuary, and collect his comic books. Finally, after what felt like an hour, Alex and Hannah were walking back to where they came in, into the lobby of the sanctuary.
As they walked into the empty storage room and started walking up the steps, Alex couldn't help himself any longer. He had to speak his mind. "Hannah, look. I really want to stay here. In Wolf Creek. Here in the sanctuary. With YOU. This is the most amazing place I've ever seen, and YOU'RE the most amazing person I've ever met. When Luke offered me to move down here, i wanted to more than anything. But when my parents get here, they'll probably MAKE me come home, cause they won't want to move here. And if, or rather WHEN, they find out I'm a werewolf now, i don't know WHAT will happen. " He shook his head and sighed.
Hannah was silent for almost a minute before she sighed, and took Alex's hand. "I don't know either, Alex. But whatever it is we'll figure it out together." She squeezed his hand tighter as she said that last part.
Alex smiled. "Maybe I'll meet other werewolves in my town. Maybe they'll be able to tell I'm one, and we can build our own sanctuary, and you can come live THERE."
Hannah smiled back. "Maybe. Anyway, what do you wanna do?"
They emerged through the trapdoor in the church. Alex looked around for Father Landis, but didn't see him. He shrugged. "Dunno. Maybe like you said: go to lunch then try to see a movie?"
She smiled. "Sounds good. I know a good little shop by the theater, it sells mostly Chinese food, but they make great sandwiches, and really good mochas. Me and Luke used to go there for lunch all the time. "
Alex laughed. "Sounds great. I could really use something with coffee, since it sounds like we'll be up late tonight. "
They laughed together and exited the church, Hannah leading the way to the Chinese shop. The store was owned by an older Asian couple. There were containers of pre-made sushi, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and rice balls behind the glass on the counter, and on the shelves were many foreign candies, cookies and drinks Alex had never heard of and couldn't read. But the shop was quiet and clean. Alex and Hannah both ordered chicken sandwiches and mochas, and sat down to eat. Hannah was right: the sandwiches and cold mochas were really good.
As they ate, Alex found himself thinking about tonight. He was still nervous about putting the Werewolf Skin on. Still wondered if the transformation would be painful. Also he wondered how he'd keep the skin hidden at home. Under his bed? No way. His mom might find it if she cleaned his room. In his closet? Maybe. He laughed at the thought of hanging it up on a coat hanger.
He decided to ask Hannah about it. "So, did your parents or Luke ever mention how it felt? To put the skin on and change?"
Hannah swallowed a bite of her sandwich, then took a sip of her drink before looking around the shop, as if to make sure nobody was listening. But besides himself and her, and a teenager sitting a few tables away with headphones, they were the only ones there.
Finally she shook her head. "Not really, no. I never asked. I think i heard my dad say once though he wished their fur was longer, harrier, cause it was still cold. I wonder if that's how REAL wolves feel? Especially arctic wolves. It must be so cold on their little feet. To tell you the truth, I'm kinda nervous. Tonight is my first night."
Alex nodded " I'm nervous too. I just hope it doesn't hurt. And what if we run into bigger animals while we hunt? Or what if we get fleas?"
Hannah laughed. "Fleas? Come on, Alex. I really doubt fleas will bother us. At least i hope not. I mean i DID catch my dad and Luke scratching a few times. Maybe fleas only bother MALE werewolves? In which case you'd better watch out.", she added with a smirk.
Alex, however, didn't laugh. He was staring out the window at something. Hannah turned around and saw what he was looking at:Two boys were walking across the street from the shop. Alex and Hannah immediately recognized them: Sean and Arjun, two boys from school. Sean and Arjun had given Alex a hard time the very first day he'd met them, trying to steal his camera, and trying to scare him with stories of werewolves, and even tricking him into coming into the woods at night to meet them, and never showing.
Last night, Alex and Hannah had given THEM a good scare, by running at them in Colin and Marta's Werewolf Skins. Alex almost laughed as he remembered the look of terror on their faces as they ran off. If only he had had his camera!!
Alex turned to her and smiled evily. "You think we should give those two bozos another scare tonight? Like, we could invite them to the woods, and put on the skins, and chase them!! I bet THIS time we'll turn their hair white!!"
Hannah laughed. "Oh my God, that'd be awesome!! But i don't think that's such a good idea: What if we lost control once we became werewolves and actually HURT them? Or one of my parents or Luke might kill them even? Remember what i told you about Luke and the dog? We'll think of another way to scare them, I'm sure. Let's finish eating and get to the movies, it's getting late. "
So they finished their sandwiches and mochas, then walked across the street to the theater. They saw a weird movie about a kid who switches minds with a bee. Really low-budget and weird, but also kind of funny. Alex and Hannah held hands while watching and sharing popcorn. Alex had to admit, for a first date, it couldn't get any better than this. Hannah felt the same as she held his hand through the movie.
Finally, the movie was over, and they left the theater, walking home the way they had come. Still holding hands.
Alex smiled. "So, today was perfect. You got to see your family. I went on a first date with my awesome, beautiful, sexy girlfriend. Things couldn't be better. Right now, I'm actually EXCITED for tonight. "
Hannah smiled back. "The werewolf part, or seeing me NAKED?", she teased.
Alex laughed. "Well actually, BOTH. At first i was kind of afraid and nervous about turning, but after meeting your family and seeing how nice they and everyone at the sanctuary are, knowing I'll be with you all tonight, I'm not as afraid. Just having YOU with me makes me feel like i can do ANYTHING. "
He finished his speech by kissing her. She returned the kiss, and for almost a minute, they stood trading kisses, not caring they were on the sidewalk in public with cars driving by. A car full of teenagers passed by, its stereo blaring loud rock music. One of them shouted: "Slip her the tongue!!"
They broke apart, and both laughed. Hannah smiled. "Well, i wouldn't MIND you French kissing me. Later,i mean, not here. That was already TOO embarrassing."
Alex laughed again. "Yeah. Tell me about it. '
They started walking again and soon reached their block. Their houses popped into view. And then, suddenly, Alex felt nervous again, because he knew what was coming, what they had to do.
Alex sighed. "We have to tell them. Uncle Colin and Aunt Marta. About us. About your family. The Sanctuary. That THEY'RE still werewolves. That we all have to go tonight. "
Hannah nodded and took his hand. "We'll tell them everything. TOGETHER. "
Together they walked up to the house and opened the door. Stepping inside, Alex called out.
"Uncle Colin!! Aunt Marta!! I'm home!!!" Alex walked into the living room and looked around. Colin and Marta weren't in the chairs or the couch. Even weirder, the couch Hannah had slept on last night was still pulled out, the pillow and blanket still on. It looked like Colin and Marta hadn't been in the room all day.
"Uncle Colin!!! Aunt Marta!!", Alex called again, moving into the kitchen. Alex saw the coffee maker, where Aunt Marta had made coffee that morning. Still half full.
Alex started to get worried. He looked at Hannah.
"Where ARE they?", she asked.
Alex walked toward their bedroom. Finally, there they were, both lying in bed, still in the clothes they had worn last night, their eyes shut. Not moving.
Hannah gasped. "Are... are they...?"
Alex reached out and shook his aunts shoulder. "Aunt Marta? Uncle Colin?! Guys!!!"
To his relief, they stirred. Aunt Marta sat up. "Oh, Alex dear, you're back. We were getting worried. Your parents called: apparently something came up, and they have to stay longer. We said that's ok, cause we know you're enjoying school, and hanging with Hannah here. So it's all good. I told them I'd have you call when you got back home. "
Colin tried standing up. "Damn, my back is killing me. It's gotta be all that lying down working on the car. "
Marta placed a hand on his shoulder. "Just lie down Colin. " She turned back to Alex. "Sorry dear, we're still not feeling like ourselves. Did you two already eat? I don't think I'll be able to fix anything, but I'm sure we have some money we can lend..."
Alex couldn't hold it in any longer. While he was glad he was going to be able to stay longer, he had to get everything off his chest. NOW. He looked at Hannah. She nodded understandingly.
"Aunt Marta. Uncle Colin. We have to tell you something. It's a long story, but please, you gotta listen. "
So, after taking a deep breath, Alex, with help from Hannah, told them everything. About Hannah's family. About the sanctuary. About Hannah being a werewolf. About her biting Alex last night. About getting his skin. Then, finally, they told them that they were still werewolves, and that was why they had been sick last night, and all day today. And that they all needed to put on their skins tonight, and walk beneath the moon as werewolves.
Finally, after about an hour and a half, Alex was done with the story. Colin and Marta had listened, only occasionally interrupting to ask a question. As Alex and Hannah had gotten deeper into their revelations, they had become more quiet. Now that Alex had reached the part about them still being werewolves, they were totally speechless. Just shocked, he wondered, or terrified?
Alex cleared his throat, which hurt from talking for over an hour. He really needed a drink of water.
"So, that's pretty much it. Everybody in this ROOM is a werewolf. And soon it will be dark, so we gotta get ready. I just really don't know how I'll break it to my parents when they come. Maybe you two can think of something. "
For a moment, his aunt and uncle just sat staĆing at him and Hannah, mouths open in shock. Finally, Colin cleared his throat and sighed. "Well, good thing we took a little nap today. Gonna need all our energy tonight. "
Marta shook her head. "This is awful. Just awful. Not just for us: me and Colin are used to it, we'd already been werewolves for almost twenty years before you showed up, Alex, but you two kids are too young for this kind of life."
Hannah couldn't meet Marta's gaze. Looking at the floor she replied." It's my fault. If i had just told Alex the truth, if we hadn't taken the skins..."
Marta scoffed." Oh pish posh. It's NOT your fault, child. NOBODY is to blame. It's the curse. The wolf. The animal that lives inside us. That's what made you do it. I know you'd never hurt my nephew on purpose. I don't need werewolf senses to tell you two have something special. Young love. It's so rare, so pure. Cherish it, both of you. As for stealing our skins last night, you kids were just trying to help. But in hindsight, Colin and I should have known better. A curse can't be broken by something as simple as thievery, by a game of keep-away. If it was so simple as that, werewolves would be an even more endangered species than we already are. "
She turned and looked out the window. "It will be dark in about an hour. We should all get ready. We'll all go next door and grab our skins. Do me a favor first Alex, and call your parents, so they don't worry. I promised I'd have you call them when you got back. But don't say anything about...any of this. We'll think of something when they get here. "
Alex nodded. "Ok. So, are you and Colin going to go to the sanctuary? I mean, they DID say they have a place for you. "
They nodded. "Sure. Maybe. Sounds like a nice place. I wouldn't be surprised if we ran into some old hunting partners. ", Colin said, and laughed at his joke. Marta smiled and chimed in. "Maybe, dear. We need time to decide, and to gather whatever we need. Now go, we don't have much time. "
So Alex walked into the living room to use the phone. Hannah told him she was going on ahead to her house to wait for him, and left. Alex picked up the phone and dialed in the number of the hotel his aunt had left by the phone.
His mother answered after a few rings. Alex told her about his new school, and that he'd made new friends. Leaving out that most of them were werewolves, of course, and that he was one too. He asked when they were coming back.
"I don't know, Alex. Hopefully next week. We didn't expect to be this busy. Remember it's outside of the States, so things are slower. Plus lots of flights are delayed because of the weather, and the holidays are coming up. But we'll let you know. Here, your father wants to talk to you too. "
So she put his dad on the phone, and he and Alex talked for a few minutes. He promised to bring back Alex a nice new camera from his trip. Alex was excited, but at the moment photography was the last thing on his mind. But he said thanks, and after a few minutes his parents had to hang up.They told him they loved him and would call back soon. Then they hung up, and Alex put the phone back and walked next door to meet Hannah.
When he got there, to his surprise, Luke and Mr and Mrs Stoneman were already there, talking to Hannah outside the house. Luke smiled as Alex approached.
"Hey stud, there you are!! Ready for your first night?"
Alex shrugged. "Sure. Still kinda nervous, but excited too." Alex noticed that Luke had on a backpack, and had apparently handed Hannah one too. Then he remembered Luke promising to help Hannah pack, and that Luke had wanted to grab his books. Under their arms, Luke and his parents carried their werewolf skins.
"Let's just go in and pack a few things. We'll grab the rest tomorrow. ", Luke said. "If you need more, the sanctuary has lots of backpacks, so you can always come back and get more. "
Luke and Hannah walked into the house just as Colin and Marta walked out. Seeing Hannah's parents, they smiled and walked over.
"Frank!! Leah!! We haven't seen you in forever!!!", Marta gushed. The adults hugged each other and started talking.
"You need to come see the sanctuary, it's a wonderful place!! Father Landis would be delighted to see you guys again!!", Leah said.
"Yes, Alex told us he was one of the people in charge. We had no idea HE was a werewolf too. Then again, we didn't know you guys were either!!", Marta said.
"Nor we, you. If everybody had known, maybe we could have had a late-night, post-hunt barbecue!!", Frank joked.
"Maybe we can have it tomorrow", said Colin. "We might as well have a last meal before we move underground. If ya'll dont mind stopping by i can get out the barbecuer and grab a few beers."
Frank nodded. "Sounds good. We'll see what we can do. "
The door opened and Luke and Hannah stepped out. Alex could hear the dryer in the back of the house. Obviously Hannah had moved her clothes from the washer.
"I can't believe you. You REALLY told Alex that I'M the one who made that mess in the living room?", Luke laughed.
Hannah punched his arm. "Luke, Alex and our parents are here!!", she said, as quietly as she could.
Leah turned to Hannah, hands on her hips. "Hannah, are you leaving the house a mess?! What did i tell you? I swear, you take after your father!! I don't know how many times i had to tell him to pick up his clothes, or not to leave food sitting out, or take out the trash!! Good thing Luke takes after ME!!"
Alex forced himself not to laugh as he watched Hannah's face turn red. Her father looked embarrassed too, but patted Hannah on the shoulder. "Yep, she's a Stoneman all right.", said Frank. "Got the litterbug genes. Let's just hope she's got the hunting genes too. We'll see soon. Let's get ready, everybody. Leah, Luke, let's go into the house and change. Colin, Marta, you can come. Or would you rather change at your place?"
Colin gestured to the Marling house. "We need to get our skins first. We keep them in that abandoned house. Alex and Hannah put theirs in there too. We'll grab them and change in the house. Alex and Hannah can change there or in the house. See you soon."
Frank and Leah walked into their old house, as Colin and Marta headed into the Marling house. Alex was about to join them when Luke placed a hand on his shoulder. He smiled at him and Hannah.
"Look, I know you and Hannah probably want to change together. " Seeing their shocked expressions, he laughed. "It's ok, you're 12, and basically wolf cubs in heat. I get it. It's fine. I'll tell mom and dad you and Alex are going to change at Colin and Marta's, taking turns in the bathroom. Go ahead. Enjoy yourselves!!"
He headed into the house. Alex and Hannah looked at each other, still in shock. Alex laughed. "Wow. Just... wow. Your brother is, like, so cool. "
Hannah sighed. "Yeah i guess. That's ONE word for it. Let's go."
They reached the door of the Marling house just as Colin and Marta walked out, carrying their skins. "We're going to go back to the house and change.", Colin said." See you kids soon. You'd better change too. The sun is almost set."
They walked back to the house. After the door shut behind them, Alex and Hannah entered the Marling house. They walked to the room where their skins still lay on the floor next to each other.
They looked at each other. "Well, this it it.", said Alex. He felt his heart begin to beat faster. With nervousness. With fear. With anticipation. With excitement. So many emotions at once.
Hannah nodded. "You nervous? I am. This is my first night. Luke has done it so many times, but everything seems so easy to him. You think it'd be easy for me too."
Alex took her hand. "I'll go first,if you want. "
Hannah looked at him and smiled, trying to hide her nervousness. "Well, why don't we do it together? We HAVE been waiting for this moment all day, after all. "
Alex smiled back. "Sounds good. So, do you want ME to change first, or you?"
She thought for a moment, still smiling. Then said:" Let's just take off everything else, till we're in our underwear. Then take off everything else at the same time. "
So they did: Alex took off his shirt and pants, then his shoes and socks, as Hannah did the same. They kept glancing at each other. Both of them noticed their heart beat faster as they watched the other undress.
Finally, they stood in nothing but their undergarments: Alex in a pair of grey boxer underwear, and Hannah in a white bra and matching underwear. They stood staring at each other. This time Alex didn't bother turning away or hiding as he felt his penis become erect and push up against his underwear.
Hannah noticed and laughed. "Wow, Alex!!! I knew I was hot, but i didn't know i was THAT hot!!!"
Alex smiled. "Are you ready to see it, uncovered? You excited?"
Hannah smiled. "Just stop teasing and drop the drawers, wolf boy!!"
Alex smiled back. "Not so fast: You're a girl. You've got something extra." He pointed at her bra.
She laughed. "Well, ok, good point. Just a sec." There was no denying it now: Hannah definitely felt nervous now as she started undoing her bra. Alex was going to be the very first boy to see her naked. And also likewise, he was going to be the first boy SHE saw naked. Well, except for Luke once when he'd stepped out of the bathroom once after a shower without a towel. But she'd been only 8 or 9 then, and had only seen his penis for a second. Neither Luke or Hannah had ever spoken about it. EVER.
Finally, she unhooked her bra and lowered it, letting it fall to the ground.
Alex stared at Hannah's bare chest. Being only 12, her boobs were just getting started, so they weren't really big, about the size of baby tangerines, and her nipples, also just beginning to develop, were slightly pointy. But still, Alex stared. To him, they were perfect. He felt himself getting even harder.
"Wow, Hannah. Your body is amazing. You're so beautiful. So sexy."
She smiled. "Not done yet. Remember our deal: We drop our underwear at the same times. "She grabbed her panties. "Ready?"
Alex grabbed his boxers. "I've never been MORE ready."
At the same time, they pulled off their underwear. After kicking them off, they stared at each other. Unlike when she accidentally saw her brother's penis and looked away, Hannah stared at her boyfriends erect cock. 'It's so big', she thought, surprised. She was tempted to touch it, to feel how hard it was right now, but held back.
Likewise, Alex stared at Hannah's crotch. She was just beginning to develop pubic hair, which perfectly matched the color of the hair on her head.
"Wow. Hannah. You're absolutely stunning."
She smiled and turned around, and Alex stared at her bare ass. Just like her boobs, still developing, but perfectly round and symmetrical. Really cute.
After letting him admire her butt for a moment, she turned back around, still smiling. She grabbed her hair and twirled it, teasing him. "Want to feel my boobs? Just real quick, before i put on my skin?"
Alex swallowed nervously. He hadn't expected her to ask. "Uh...sure."
He walked forward and put one hand on each of her boobs. Despite her pointy nipples, her breasts were extremely soft and smooth. They reminded Alex of water balloons. He squeezed them slightly, and heard her gasp.
"What's wrong? Did it hurt?" She shook her head. "No. Actually, it felt good. Real good. Do it again. " She finished by kissing him on the lips. Alex eagerly returned the kiss and squeezed her breasts again. She moaned in pleasure.
Unable to resist any longer Hannah reached down and grabbed her boyfriend's erect penis. As she expected, it was rock hard in her hand. 'I wonder how it feels for boys to get boners?', she wondered.
For a few moments the young lovers stood kissing, Alex rubbing Hannah's breasts, Hannah holding his cock. Her hands were so soft, so gentle. Alex took a hand off one breast and reached around, grabbing one of her butt cheeks. She giggled. "Remember what that boy said earlier? About French kissing? I want to try it." She kissed him again, and Alex felt her tongue slide into his mouth. Alex moved his tongue to meet hers.
They broke apart. Hannah wiped her mouth. "That was... different. To be honest, i prefer NORMAL kissing. "
Alex laughed. "Me too. "
To his surprise, Hannah knelt down in front of him, his penis still in one hand. "I KIND of want to try something else. I mean, if you WANT. I mean, it's always sounded kind of weird, putting a boys penis in your mouth, but, since you're my boyfriend..."
Alex smiled. "Yeah, i was going to suggest it some time, but, i mean, if you want to NOW..."
Hannah nodded, and was just about to put her mouth over his cock when they heard the door of Hannah's house next door open and someone-or something-run out. They heard heavy footsteps. Not human. A growl. Next second the footsteps ran off. Towards the woods.
Hannah stood up, her eyes wide. "My parents and Luke already changed. We've got to go. Let's finish this later, ok?", she finished, smiling.
Alex nodded. "Ok. But look, we've already come this far. In the morning... i know you said you wanted to wait, but Hannah, after this, i REALLY want to..."
She nodded. "Me too. In the morning we'll probably have to shower. Get the wolf scent off, and the dirt and everything. We'll take a shower TOGETHER. My place. My parents and Luke will go back to the sanctuary, and we'll have the whole day to ourselves. We'll finish what we started, and THEN SOME. I promise. We'll have sex."
She kissed him one last time, then the two tween lovers pulled on their Werewolf Skins.
For a second, nothing happened. Then, just like last night, Alex felt a white hot pain shoot through his body. He felt like his body was on fire. His skin felt prickly, like hundreds of invisible ants were crawling on him. He felt himself shrinking, watched the room grow smaller. He was sinking, sinking. To his surprise, his vision changed. The room, Hannah, their clothes on the floor, became black-gray. Next to him, he heard Hannah scream too as she shrank.
Next second, the pain had vanished, and Alex stood on all fours. He sniffed with his snout. He could smell many different things, things he couldn't smell before. He could smell the garbage in front of his aunt and uncles house. He could smell the cat hiding under the car of the neighbors down the street, and could smell the soup they were making for dinner. His hearing had improved too: he could hear a bird in the tree in the forest, could hear a baby cry in the backyard a couple houses away, could hear a dog barking on the next block.
'It worked. It worked, I'm a wolf', he thought.
'You mean, WE'RE wolves', said Hannah's voice in his head.
Alex jumped. His fur stood on end. 'Wait, did I just hear you in my head?' he thought.
He heard Hannah laugh. She walked up and pushed her snout against his. She licked his nose with her tongue. Even as a wolf, she was beautiful.
'Yeah, and I can hear YOU. This is CRAZY. Nobody told me werewolves can hear each other's thoughts. Makes sense, since we can't talk. Anyway, you ready? Let's go!!"
So they ran out of the house. His house was dark. Colin and Marta must have already left. He sniffed, trying to pick up their scent. It didn't take long: next second, he and Hannah plunged into the forest, hoping to find Colin and Marta, Frank and Leah, and Luke, and, hopefully, a late-night meal.
End of chapter 3
Well, FINALLY, here's the end of the chapter. Sorry it took so long, writer's block is killing me lately. Plus I'm working on other stories, including a new one called Don't Eat The Jellybeans. Hopefully I'll have the first chapter of that up soon. Also I'm planning another called Invasion Of The Cooties, which I hope to start before Valentines Day, since it takes place ON V.D.
A few things: As you no doubt guessed, the character Lonnie is yet another classic werewolf movie reference, being a reference to Lon Chaney. And YES, the movie they saw was a reference to the Goosebumps book Why I'm Afraid Of Bees, which in my opinion is a HIGHLY underrated book. I seriously don't understand why so many people knock it. Imo it'd have make a great episode. Also, I got the idea of them communicating through thought as werewolves from The Barking Ghost, when the characters got turned into dogs and heard each other's thoughts.
Next chapter, we'll finally see Alex and Hannah have their first hunt, and possibly spot a few werewolf hunters in the forest. And finally, we'll have the long-promised, long-awaited sex scene with Alex and Hannah. So if you're not for/against underage sex, just consider yourself forewarned.
Again, I'm really, REALLY sorry this part took so long. I promise I'll try to get chapter 4 out faster, but remember I AM working on other stories, but hopefully those will come along faster too, since it's a new year, hence renewed brain activity, lol. Until then, please read, like, and review. And feel free to message me if you want.
See ya'll soon(ish) in chapter 4!!!
