Rewritten Chapter 2
Life changes
[March 15th Year X782]
It's been a month since Natsu saved the Strauss Siblings and currently Natsu is still unconscious while a lot of things change.
Mirajane has somehow lost her magic and She became a lot kinder and gentler while she also became the new Head Waitress due to her can't be an active mage anymore.
Lisanna still has her magic but has taken a lot fewer jobs and decided to become a waitress and work with her sister while making sure Cana doesn't steal all the Booze.
Elfman took the biggest hit as he became fearful of using a full-body take-over and he decided to only use Partial Take Over, and he had only token 1 Job so far.
The rest of the Guild moved on and some of them still had a challenging time comparing the old Mirajane and the new her as some of them still fear her.
Makarov who was currently drinking looks at Mirajane "Mira, you should take a break" Makarov says while placing his drink down.
"Alright Master, I will take a break after I finish cleaning this plate," Mirajane says as she cleans the final plate and she gave it a good wipe and said "Done, Lisa I am going to have a break, See you soon" with a smile towards her little sister.
"Yes, Big sis Mira," Lisanna says as she works behind the bar cooking food.
Mirajane then walks into the infirmary and sat right next to an unconscious Natsu. She grabs his right hand and squeezes it "Why Natsu?!' she whispers as a lone tear falls.
Mirajane has always been questioning herself after that incident. She used to bully and make Natsu cry, but he never shows anger or any hatred and yet he would still come to protect her and her siblings in times of need. She remembers When Natsu saved Elfman from a wild Bear that was going to attack him. She also remembers Natsu helping Lisanna save a young fox from getting killed. She does have a hard to believe this, but Natsu beat the hell out of Gray for wanting to steal her diary and expose her secrets out there as a form of revenge that's what Happy says which she does have a tough time believing. But those are one of the few examples.
Mirajane closed her eyes and whisper again "Why?" but then she felt a hand on her face that wipe her tear. She immediately opens her eyes and saw Natsu wake up and wipe her tears.
"A tear, Mirajane?" Natsu says as wiped her tear before he put his hand down back on the bed as he is in pain, and he looked at her with sadness "Please don't cry." Natsu says with a soft voice as he doesn't want to see a strong girl cry for him.
Mirajane looked at him and immediately hugged him. "Natsu your finally awake!" she says with some happiness.
"Aww!" Natsu expresses his pain at being hugged.
Mirajane stopped hugging him and look at him with worried eyes and ask, "Sorry are you hurt anywhere?!" she panics as she sees his face which shows that he was in severe pain.
"My nerves are on fire and hurt every time. I try to move" Natsu says as he tries to relax his body, so he doesn't feel that pain.
"It seems like Porlyusica was right," Makarov says as he walks into the infirmary.
Mirajane looked at him and ask, "Right about what Master?" with a worried voice.
Makarov looked at Natsu and decided to tell Mirajane "Natsu is suffering from the aftereffects of his body changing and his container of Ethernano inside his body was expanding at a rate that was burning it due to using Forbidden and Taboo Magic. It's going to take a month before Natsu back on his feet as for his magic. It's still an unknown and only Natsu would know" he says as he grabs a potion and places it on the side "The potion should help with the pain, but I would recommend not moving too much." then he stares at Natsu "Where and how did you learn an extremely dangerous branch of Magic and also why did you follow Strauss Siblings in secret on their Job?" Makarov asked Natsu.
Natsu sighs "I had a bad feeling that something bad would happen that's why I followed in secret. As for why I know Taboo and Forbidden magic." Natsu sighs even more "Igneel taught me it. Every single forbidden and Taboo magic of Dragon and Dragon slayer magic. Igneel was deeply knowledgeable about it as he was the only dragon in many centuries that know of this branch of Magic. Belserion or as known as The Sage Dragon was the first Dragon that discovered this branch of magic but even, though he did not know as much as Igneel since he was killed during a war, but he did leave some knowledge behind, and it was found by Igneel and he improves on it with the help of someone" Natsu says as Mirajane helps him sit up on the bed.
Makarov and Mirajane listen to him while Makarov does want to know more about it, but he knows this type of knowledge isn't really useful to him, but he wants to ask a question since it worries about Laxus "Did Igneel tell you what happened to a person who had Dragon Lacrima implanted into their bodies? Out of curiosity" he asked.
Natsu's eyes narrowed "If a person that was never taught by a dragon was given a dragon Lacrima. They will be able to use Dragon slayer magic but cannot use any other kind of magic element other than their dragon Lacrima element. For example, Lightning Dragon slayer" the moment Natsu said that Makarov flinch, but nobody notices it "Can and will only be able to use Lightning Elemental Magic due to high-affinity thanks to the implant. Gramps, I want you to know this second-generation Dragon slayer are hated by Dragons and other generations of Dragon slayer since they didn't fight or earn that magic." Natsu says as his eyes darken
Makarov sees this and wonders if there are more than 2 generations.
"Other generation and hated?" Mirajane said it aloud due to her curiosity.
Natsu sighs "Let me explain it.
Generation 0 Dragon slayers are people who somehow gain the power to slay dragons but it's very unknown. The first ever dragon slayer goes by the name Irene Belserion she is one of the founders of dragon slayer magic. But us dragon slayers call her the mother of Dragon slayers. I can't really tell you much about this Generation since it's very unknown but all I know is that Gen 0 Dragon slayers magic are very unstable, and slayer are fated to suffer to which I don't really know.
First Generation Dragon slayers are people that are taught by a Dragon itself in using the lost magic. It's a lot more stable than Gen 0 but is harder to use stronger forms of dragon slayers magic or even control their Magic. I'm a first-generation Dragon slayer and I have a challenging time controlling my fire as you know.
Second Generation Dragon slayers are people who had dragon Lacrima into them, but they were never taught by a Dragon. They are created by humans who got their hands on dragon Lacrima and fuse it into their bodies, but they must make sure the human body is able to handle it or else it will kill them for a dragon Lacrima is made from the processed heart of a dragon. Second-gen is widely hated because they pretty much use dragon slayer magic without earning it through a fight or being taught by a dragon. If seen by another slayer well, let's just say Second gens are going to regret it. If it's found out.
Generation 2.5 Dragon slayers are people for second Gen that are acknowledged by a dragon or another Dragon slayer and are viewed as people who earn it.
Third Generation Dragon slayers are people who were taught by a dragon but also given a dragon Lacrima by their own dragon. It is very stable and gives the slayers easier access to stronger forms of dragon slayer magic easily at will. I don't really know much about this generation since Igneel says they are spoiled in his view, and he doesn't talk much about them.
Fourth Generation Dragon slayers are artificial beings created from Dragon Lacrima or pure magic power they are capable of fighting indefinitely until their source of power is destroyed. I only heard of one of them existing in a story that Igneel told me.
I have heard rumors of a fifth Generation Dragon slayer during one of the job quests I took. I don't know anything about them, and I am not sure if fifth gen even exists.
That's all I know" Natsu says as his stomach grumbles.
Makarov sighs "Well I will be taking my leave and Mira get some soup for Natsu to eat," he says as he walks out the door of the infirmary
Natsu sighs "Can the soup be chicken soup please?" he asks nicely.
Mirajane looks at Natsu and she doesn't know what to say Natsu acts so differently than how he used to act before the event that happened. "Okay, one chicken soup coming right up," Mirajane says as she went out of the infirmary.
"She seems to no longer wear a mask" Natsu whispers as he always can tell if someone was wearing a mask to hide their real self then he closes his eyes and enters a meditated state and looks for where his dragon seed and what he sees was something he never expected.
[Inside Natsu Soul]
Natsu saw a seed and it was not his dragon seed but a mixture of it and something else as he reaches his hand out to touch it a lot of memory begins to flash right In front of him. Memories before he meets Igneel. He sees his mom, dad, Brother, and his best friend. He remembers what happened. His village was burnt down by a rogue dragon. He remembers dying in his brother's arms. He remembers being somewhere that was unbelievably beautiful beyond anything that existed. He remembers waking up and seeing his brother again and his brother tries to teach him magic. He remembers his brother leaving him with a dragon to look after him and his brother's last words before he wipes his memory.
"We will meet again, and I hope by that time you will be able to free me from this curse. Etherious Natsu Dragneel" Zeref says as he chants a magic spell.
[in the real world]
Natsu eyes shot open and gasped for air "Those memories were mine and how am I" Natsu was about to begin questioning himself, but he heard Mirajane walking towards the infirmary, so he decided to mask it.
Mirajane walked in with a smile and place the soup bowl on a food tray "Here's one bowl of chicken soup" she says with a smile.
"Thanks um, Mira" Natsu says as he isn't really used to Mirajane being Nice even though she has been nice she tends to hide it and not show it.
Natsu was about to move his arms to use his hands, but Mirajane stopped him. "Let me feed you since you are not allowed to move much remember," she says with an angel smile.
"Oh, yea, Sorry about this," Natsu says as he kind of forgot and was thankful that Mirajane reminded him as he didn't like the pain at all. "So, what did I miss during 1 month of sleeping," He asks as Mirajane begins to feed Natsu.
Mirajane smile did go down a bit "After you brought us back here and passed out. A lot of things change. I am no longer an active wizard since I can't use my take-over magic anymore. I also became the new Head Waitress of the guild since the old one was retiring, and Lisanna became a Waitress as she decided to become less active as a wizard. Elfman changes a bit as well as he only uses Partial Take Over, and he had only token 1 Job so far. Gray wasn't happy and want to fight you but luckily Erza knocked him out. Erza well, she is going to be punishing you once you recover, she says other than that a lot of things are still the same" Mirajane says as she feeds Natsu.
They talked for a while and Mirajane feed Natsu until it was all gone. She then helps Natsu drink the potion before Natsu goes to sleep. Mirajane then walks out of the infirmary with the bowl but before she leaves, she looked back at Natsu who went to sleep "Thank you for saving us, Natsu" she whispers.
[July 20th Year X782]
It's been 4 months of recovery. Natsu can move without pain though he wished he recovers faster as he remembers when Erza had to feed him while giving him an earful for sneaking onto an S-rank job and she accidentally put too much chili and just shove the hot soup into his mouth until she realized that he passed out from the spice and burn. She did apologize which was fine. Lisanna and Mirajane were his usual Carers until he recovered and now, he stays around the guild a bit before he went home.
"Home sweet home" Natsu looks around his living room and thinks of what he would do with his life now since he doesn't have his dragon slayer magic except for his wings that he got from the change and sharp senses.
(Door Knock) x 3
"Coming" Natsu shouted as he opens the door, he saw a teenager, but his senses scream to him that it was a man, not a teenager.
"Hello, this is a special delivery to Natsu Dragneel" The man, not a teenager looked at Natsu "You look a lot like Diluc from mondstadt but never mind. Here is a crate that was sent for you," he says.
Natsu was confused "I don't remember anyone getting something for me," Natsu said.
"Well, is there any other Natsu Dragneel that lives here?" The man, not a teenager asks with a raised eyebrow.
Natsu knows that there's only him, so he answers "Only me that goes by that name" he says still confused
"Well, that's good. Can you sign here, and the crate is yours" The man, not a teenager says as he hands a pen and paper for Natsu to sign. So Natsu signs it and the man with a snap of his finger teleports the crate into Natsu's living room.
"Thanks," Natsu says as the Crate is now in his living room, and he is still confused.
"No problem, have a nice day," The man not a teenager says as he walks away.
"You too," Natsu says as he closes his door.
The man, not a teenager smiles "Hope the gift helps you out kid after all I lost a bet with a version of you out there in the multiverse. Now it's time for me to leave and be forced to another world for what I have done a long time ago." Max says with a sad smile as he ran with red glowing eyes and black lightning through a black portal

Natsu opens the Crate, and he found a lot of stuff and he begins to get them out and read what there are.

Dear Natsu Dragneel
I hope you like what was in the crate. It should help you out since you can no longer access your Fire dragon slayer magic. I once said to a friend good people deserve a chance to shine again after a fall and this is your chance to shine again as who you truly are and no longer will you ever wear that Mask and be yourself again.
PS You might not know but the somewhere that was unbelievably beautiful beyond anything that existed. You see was the source of all Magic Power world.

The letter disappeared from Natsu's hand and Natsu looks at all the stuff "Well, I guess it's time to sort things out and read these books" Natsu says with tiredness in his eye.
Well, that's the end of this Second chapter of the Natsu who rise above the Dragon Slayer. This took a while as I changed things up which is an improvement. I will be making Natsu as a non-active wizard for now and building his character up for a bit before making him an active member again, but it will be a while before that happens. I also might add some 100-year quest Fairy tail hints but I really need to read it up as I barely know anything about that.
