This chapter will conclude the USJ Arc.
Chapter 08: Crisis at USJ Part 02
When the dust settled, everyone there could lay eyes on the great hero, and he seemed to be very angry.
"All Might!"
The students present at the entrance cheered, all smiling in relief at the hero's arrival.
The Blonde Goliath looked around and saw his colleagues Eraser and Thirteen lying down, visibly injured.
"Aizawa…Kurose…Forgive me." The hero muttered before turning his attention to the students, seeing that some were missing.
"Where are the other students?!" The man asked, already fearing the worst.
He didn't get an immediate answer, and when he was about to ask again, he was surprised by a voice apparently coming from beyond.
"They're still out there, Sensei, and Shield-Chan and Midoriya-Kun were facing a dangerous villain in the plaza." The disembodied voice said, but they soon discovered that it belonged to Toru.
The hero was stunned for a while, but soon came back into focus.
"Alright, thank you young Hagakure, you continue caring for the injured, I'll dispatch the villains." Said the hero, before disappearing in a blur in a wind.
When there was no longer any sign of the hero, Mina headed towards her invisible colleague.
"Where were you Hagakure-Chan?!" The pinkette asked, shaking the invisible girl's shoulders.
"I was here the whole time, I managed to dodge that fog that transported the others." The girl replied, making everyone look at her in disbelief.
'Looks like she's really good at stealth.' Everyone present thought.
Back at the Plaza, Izuku took advantage of the opening given by All Might's arrival to get out of Nomu's reach, jumping close to Melissa, who immediately supported him.
"You fool! Why did you do that?! You almost died!" Shouted the blonde, checking all of her friend's injuries.
Izuku chuckled softly before responding.
"Honestly…My body moved on its own. I just knew I had to save you." Said the boy, unconsciously making the blonde blush a little, and she was about to say something else.
"How cute…" Shigaraki said mockingly, who watched the entire interaction with a bored expression, before changing to a sadistic one. "You were saved by the arrival of All Might, but we are going to test if his speed is up to date. Nomu, kill them!"
Immediately the monster charged to attack, and this time Izuku and Melissa knew that the chance of survival was less than 5%.
Nomu quickly arrived at the target, with his crushing fists already poised to end the teenagers' lives. In a flash…
BAM!
A cloud of dust rose from the impact, and then a brief silence.
"Do you dare…" Said a voice dangerously grave in the dust cloud.
"THREATEN MY STUDENTS?!" All Might shouted, the strength of his voice made the dust disperse, seeming to flee in fear of the man.
When the cloud disappeared, everyone saw that the hero was holding both of Nomu's fists while facing each other.
In a swift movement, All Might moved the monster away with a powerful push, sending the villain close to Shigaraki, who looked at the pumped-up blonde with apparent hatred.
"All Might…Finally the trash decided to show up, the Final Boss of the heroes." The villain hissed, scratching his neck harder.
As the young villain hissed in anger, the Blonde Goliath turned to the two students.
"Young, I ask you to step aside and return to the entrance, you need treatment." Said All Might without taking his eyes off the villains.
"W-Wait, All Might…These villains brought a weapon to kill you." Izuku said, still leaning on Melissa, and the girl nodded to the hero, supporting the affirmation.
"The leader there practically said that the monster is the weapon, he said that his quirk was Shock Absorption, I hit him with the On- With my quirk and it had no effect." The girl continued, almost revealing their secret by accident.
"I see...The creature is supposed to be my biggest challenge, then? Thank you for the information, students, but I ask that you leave immediately." Said All Might, looking seriously at the villains, preparing to start combat.
Izuku at first didn't want to leave, but a pull from Melissa made him change his mind, allowing himself to be guided away from the imminent fight.
Looking back, the greenish boy saw the number one hero's upright back, standing still in resilience, the boy then turned to his blonde friend.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" The boy asked, concern evident in his voice.
"He's All Might, if there's anyone who can fix this, it's him." The girl responded, trying to convey optimism, but internally she asked herself the same question, still feeling that something could still go very wrong.
Back with All Might, he continued to observe the villains' movements, that's when the villain with the hands decided to start.
"Nomu, catch him!" Shigaraki ordered, and the monster charged forward ferociously.
"Graaowwl!" Roared the creature, throwing a powerful punch.
"Well done, villain, if that's how you want it!"All Might declared, also moving forward, also preparing a punch.
When the two met, their fists collided, causing another shock wave, making everyone around try to hold on, even Izuku and Melissa, who were already further away.
All Might tried to attack the monster's chest with his elbow, but Nomu also withstood this attack and soon after made a move to try to grab the hero, however, All Might dodged it and returned it with a powerful punch to the face, causing absolutely nothing.
'This villain didn't even show a reaction in the face, Melissa and young Midoriya were right.' All Might thought, starting to get nervous.
The hero began to unleash attack after attack on the Nomu, who resisted them all.
"You know the basics of Nomu, hero, your attacks won't be effective, I'd say the best way to hurt him is to slowly rip off his flesh, but I don't think he'd let you do that, would he? Hehehe." Shigaraki said, arrogantly.
"Thanks for the clue!" Spoke All Might, delivering an even more powerful punch to the monster's face, and to his surprise, managed to unbalance him for a brief moment, and taking advantage of the villain's distraction, the blonde quickly sneaked behind him.
"So I just have to try even harder!" Shouted the blonde, grabbing Nomu's waist and doing a Suplex, another shock wave happened, shaking the entire place and raising a huge cloud of dust.
Shigaraki got to steady himself after the gusts of wind that hit him.
"Hmm, it seems like you wanted to stop him from moving by burying him in the ground, don't you?" He said, watching the cloud of dust decrease, and the hero's silhouette could be seen struggling.
"But, I guess it didn't work out very well for you." He concluded, laughing and snubbing All Might.
Izuku and Melissa stopped and looked at the place where the battle was taking place, and they both didn't have a good feeling about it.
"M-Melissa…" Izuku didn't even need to say much, the girl had already understood.
"I understand Midoriya-Kun, but you're too injured, we can't go back there." Said the blonde, looking regretfully at the greenish boy, but still extremely worried about her uncle, after all he was completely exceeding his time limit.
"I know, but I only broke an arm, I can be useful there." Izuku said, trying to free himself from the girl's grip, but she held him even tighter.
"Are you crazy?! We can not! You saw what happened when we tried to fight that thing, we almost got killed." Said the blonde, mentally wanting to slap the boy for the stupid idea, but she also agreed with him, what she wanted most was to go back there and help her uncle.
"I don't intend to fight that thing again, I just want to help All Might, he's alone against those three villains, I just...Wanna help..." Izuku said, looking down sadly, making the girl identify, after all she felt the same.
'Are you okay with this, Melissa? I know it's a huge pressure, I'll understand if I can't.'
'Of course! You can count on me, uncle!'
'Uncle Might...' Thought the girl, looking again at the place where the hero was, before her eyes shone with determination.
"Alright, Midoriya-Kun, let's give All Might a hand!" Melissa said, making Izuku open a fearless smile, the adrenaline preventing him from feeling so much pain.
"Right, let's go!" The boy replied, hurrying to get back to the "fight ring", halfway there they felt the ground shake and another shock wave passed through them, followed by a huge cloud of dust.
"I think things have gotten worse." The boy said, running back with the blonde at his side. Without them knowing, other students had the same idea.
Shigaraki was waiting for the dust cloud to settle, and when it did, he saw that All Might was trapped in Nomu's arms, the monster's torso through a portal on the ground and his legs in the air, with All Might grabbing the monster's waist, and the Nomu's torso appeared through another portal beneath All Might's back and grabbed the hero by the ribs.
"Exactly as we planned, well done Kurogiri, your time has come, trash." Shigaraki said, looking at the scene darkly.
All Might certainly didn't expect this, when he did the Suplex, he felt something was wrong, but he didn't expect "this".
'Damn, this villain is pressing my weak spot, shit!' He thought, a little blood dripping from his mouth.
The Nomu pressed the ribs even tighter, making the blonde grunt in pain and let go of the creature.
"Huh!" The hero hissed, with more blood coming out of his ribs and mouth, as he tried to free himself from the monster's arms.
"I didn't want your guts and blood in my portals, but you are very powerful, so we came up with this plan, Nomu told immobilizer, I would use my portals, and when Nomu pulls your body to the middle, I would close it, thus cutting you in two, that is my job!" Said Kurogiri, exposing his part of the evil plan.
'Damn, so this is how it's going to be?! No...' All Might thought, trying everything to free himself.
When Nomu began to sink into the portal, something unusual occurred, the hero and villains could hear something similar to explosions approaching.
Boom!
Boom!
BOOM!
Like a missile, 1-A's walking bomb crashed into Kurogiri and pinned him to the ground, with its grenade gauntlet aimed at the villain.
"Did you think you'd run away from me, cloudy bastard?! Make a move and I'll blow your weak spot to pieces!" Katsuki furiously declared, leaving Kurogiri completely immobilized, threatening him with mini explosions on the metal accessory.
'Young Bakugo?! What he-' Thought All Might, but noticed a trail of ice coming and taking over Nomu's body, stopping below the monster's hands, and the ice was coming from Shoto.
"I heard about your plan to kill All Might." Shoto said, taking part in the fight.
'Young Todoroki, he stopped freezing him before reached me, this made him loosen his arms.' The hero concluded his thoughts, freeing himself from Nomu's arms and jumping away from him.
"Oe, where did these brats come from?!" Shigaraki asked, looking furious at the interlopers, but soon felt something behind him.
"HA!" Eijirou shouted, arriving by surprise to attack, but the villain dodged.
With his attack failing, the redhead retreated closer to his colleagues and positioned himself.
"Damn, I almost got it!" Eijirou complained.
"All Might cannot die to his kind!" Shoto stated coldly.
All Might looked surprised at the students who came to help him, but he was the teacher there.
'I know I was lost without their help, but still...' Thought the hero, clutching his wound.
"Young mans, I appreciate your help, but get out of here quickly!" Declared the hero to the three newcomers.
"Are you serious?! We've got their workhorse locked up, they're not going anywhere!" Shouted Katsuki, still keeping Kurogiri firmly trapped.
Shigaraki, seeing that he was at a disadvantage, decided to appeal.
"Since you guys want to fight so much... Nomu..." Said the villain, addressing the monster, who reacted, and then he crawled out of the portal, his frozen arm and leg breaking into pieces as he fell. on the floor, but he still struggled to get up.
The pro hero and those in training were dumbfounded.
"He still moves, even without an arm and leg?!" Shoto asked, in shock.
As if on cue, the remaining ice in Nomu's body exploded, leaving only the living flesh exposed, and then it quickly began to grow new limbs and regenerate, as if it were nothing, much to the heroes' surprise.
"What?! Wasn't his quirk Shock Absorption?!" asked All Might in disbelief.
Shigaraki just laughed mockingly.
"Hehe, I never said that was his only quirk, did I?" He replied, mockingly. "Nomu was genetically created to fight against you at 100%, so a range of quirks were implanted in him, strength, shock absorption, regeneration, and a few others, in other words, you will not beat him, Peace Symbol."
All Might frowned, it reminded him of something, but he still had to come up with a way to defeat him.
"But we've wasted enough time, we need to recover our transport... Nomu, recover Kurogiri." Shigaraki said, pointing at Katsuki and Kurogiri.
"Graaawwwl!" Shouted Nomu, rushing towards the explosive blonde, who just stared in shock at the mutant bullet train coming towards him.
Like a bullet, Nomu crashed into that spot, hitting something and sending it flying towards the nearby fountain, creating a curtain of dust and splashing the water.
"BAKUGO!" Eijirou shouted, Shoto looked at the situation in shock, until he noticed someone else by his side.
"What-" Murmured the half-half looking at Bakugo himself sitting next to him.
"Baku-Bro, man! Did you dodge?! How?!" Eijirou asked, frantic.
"Shut up, Shitty Hair, it wasn't me!" The brawling blonde shouted. 'I didn't even see what happened!' He thought, frustrated.
"If it wasn't you… Then!" Eijirou said, turning to the fountain and seeing All Might standing there, in a defensive position, the sleeves of his shirt destroyed.
"That guy... He managed to save the brat from Nomu." Shigaraki reflected, scratching his neck even harder.
All Might was there, looking exhausted, hair disheveled, blood dripping from his mouth and the blood stain on his ribs even more evident, with the fountain behind him all broken.
"You said...That this monster was created to fight me at my 100%, right?" Asked the hero, a little breathless, before steadying himself, raising his head.
"Then! I just have to go beyond my 100%! Youngs, run away, it's time to see a professional giving his all!" Declared the Blonde Goliath, his eyes glowing a fervent blue.
"Kurogiri, you and Nomu go get him, I'll take care of the brats." Shigaraki said, moving forward to fight the boys.
And the three soon got ready.
"He is coming!" Eijirou said, hardening his arms.
But Shigaraki didn't have time to get closer, as All Might decided to charge into combat with Nomu once again, this time, more motivated than ever.
"HAAAAAAA!" With their war cry, hero and villain clash their fists once again, but now, the monster's arm trembled from the impact, and it resulted in a shock wave bigger than before, blowing away everyone nearby.
Shigaraki was sent flying away, but got to right himself and landed near Kurogiri.
"Oe! Didn't I tell you about the absorption?!" The villain spoke mockingly.
"So?! It may have shock absorption, but not nullification!" Declared the hero, still containing Nomu's punch.
Nomu then pushed the blonde away and prepared one more punch, All Might did the same, and they bumped fists again, and again, and again, and then a machine gun of punches began on both sides, to the spectators it seemed like something from shounen anime.
It was at that moment that Izuku and Melissa arrived on the battlefield, seeing All Might and Nomu frantically exchanging punches, leaving both of them impressed.
"I-Incredible…" The spider boy murmured, putting his good arm in front of his face to mitigate the wind.
"They are very fast, it confirms that thing was really made to face him." Melissa continued, protecting herself in the same way.
That's when they noticed their other colleagues nearby.
"Hey, what are you guys doing here?!" Izuku asked the three, who also looked at them in surprise.
Seeming as if no one would speak, Katsuki took the lead…In his own way.
"Shut up, Deku! I came to help All Might, and I say I did a much better job than you!" The brawling blonde declared, pointing his finger at Izuku.
"You guys don't-" Izuku couldn't continue his speech, as a particularly strong shock wave hit them, making the young turn their attention to the fight, seeing the hero and the monster still exchanging punches.
Every time Nomu received All Might's attacks, he was pushed away and his body shook with all the impacts, he was getting close to the limit, in the same way as All Might, who received powerful blows from the monster as well.
Suddenly, Nomu punched the blonde's wound, who spat out a spurt of blood, but returned to the fight even more furious, his eyes shining even brighter.
"You were made to face me at my best?! You will be getting more than that!" Shouted the hero, landing a punch powerful enough to send Nomu flying into the forest, uprooting trees and destroying the ground.
All Might ran towards the monster and hit him with another punch, stronger than the last, as Nomu bounced off the ground and was taken into the air, but the hero quickly caught up with him, grabbed his leg, spun him around and then threw him into the plaza floor, opening a crater and making the monster bounce once again on the ground.
Again, a powerful shock wave was present, ripping the trees from their roots, and still keeping everyone away, that's when All Might landed with a heavy thud in front of the powerless Nomu.
Shigaraki and Kurogiri looked at the scene in shock, the five gatecrashers on the other side too, barely believing the strength of the Blonde Goliath.
"Hey, villain... Have you heard these words before?!" Asked the hero, preparing for his destructive punch "Go beyond!" he shouted, charging in for the kill.
"Pluus... ULTRAAAA!"All Might shouted at the top of his lungs, punching Nomu so strongly in the abdomen, that it seemed as if his fist would go through the monster's body.
BAM!
Like a cannon shot, Nomu was expelled far away, crossing the roof of the USJ, opening a giant hole and following the path of the sun, crossing the clouds, until it disappeared into the sky.
The impact of the punch hit the entire structure of the place, shaking everything, it felt like an earthquake.
Students at the entrance held on to each other to stay upright.
"How much power..." Fumikage said, almost in a whisper.
"He sent that thing flying away, it must be on another planet now." Hanta joked to his colleagues, but he was still impressed.
"Only so they learn not to mess with the Number One Hero, well done!" Rikido said, punching the air in victory.
While some watched the battle unfold, others held the injured teachers so that they would not be further injured by the tremors.
"Shoji-San, can you see the others?" Asked a worried Momo.
The gray boy, who was still monitoring the environment, nodded before speaking.
"Hai, they are all together, near the fighting site." The boy said, to the vice president's exasperation.
"Wha- I know those three helped All Might, but they should have gotten out of there by now!" Said the girl, she was beginning to fear for the lives of her classmates.
"Apparently, they are not in danger." Finished Mezo, but it may have been too early. "Hang on! The villains are moving!" He alerted his colleagues, making everyone turn their attention to the plaza.
Shigaraki was almost tearing his hair out with anger, but he preferred to scratch his neck.
"HAHAHA!"
Shigaraki looked at All Might, the hero looking more beaten than ever, his anger towards him increasing exponentially.
"I'm really weak, at my peak, I would have knocked that villain down with five punches, now... It took more than three hundred." Said the Blonde Goliath, disheveled but smiling again.
Shigaraki finally exploded.
"You bastard! You hadn't become weak at all! You destroyed my Nomu, it was supposed to destroy you!" Shigaraki started throwing a tantrum. "He lied to me! He said you were weaker!"
All Might keep that last bit of information, "He"?
"Then?!" The hero asked, releasing an intimidating aura, and it worked, as it scared the bratty, but there was something more, a steam came out of his body.
"You said you would kill me, if you are so brave, COME ON!" He finished, his eyes shining a freezing blue, this ended up intimidating Shigaraki even more, who took a few steps back, scared by the powerful aura emitted.
Of the five young people there, only one was aware of what was happening, Melissa knew that her uncle was on the limit, probably couldn't even move, so he resorted to intimidation.
'He's completely vulnerable, if this trick doesn't work...' The girl thought, completely distressed.
Shigaraki, if possible, hated the pumped blonde even more.
"You- You human trash! You were supposed to die!" Said the villain, shaking with anger.
"Shigaraki Tomura, look carefully, he's not attacking, he's stalling, Nomu may have done enough damage to immobilize him, we can eliminate him now." Kurogiri said, softly, expanding his mist.
"...Yes…" Shigaraki agreed with a furious growl.
Kurogiri opened a portal in front of Shigaraki and another in front of All Might, alarming the hero.
'Holy Shit!' Thought the hero, having no escape.
However…
"No! Leave him!" A very familiar voice to the hero shouted.
'No…Melissa!' Thought the pumped blonde, who couldn't do anything to stop his niece.
The blonde girl was running straight towards Shigaraki, throwing a punch, to the surprise of her colleagues.
The villain looked at her and smiled sinisterly "Kurogiri!"
Without saying a word, the nebulous villain opened other portals, in front of Shigaraki and the blonde girl, who stopped on the tracks in surprise.
Shigaraki stepped out of the portal in front of Melissa, his hand reaching out to touch her face, a macabre smile on his face.
When his hand was about to touch the girl.
Thwip! Thwip!
Two web shots hit Shigaraki's face and hand, causing that open hand to be propelled towards his body, and he ended up touching his own shoulder, opening a hole in his shirt and beginning the process of disintegration.
"AARGH!" He screamed, but in a fit of adrenaline, he raised a finger, preventing the process from continuing, but the damage was already done, his shoulder was raw.
"AAHH! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!" He asked in pain, barely able to see because of the web on his face. But with a movement of his head, he managed to see through a gap, the spider brat, his broken arm hanging at his side, with his suit destroyed, pointing his hand at him in a strange gesture.
"Don't even think about touching her!" Shouted the spider boy, looking furious at the villain.
Melissa looked at her friend in surprise, she should start writing down how much she owed him. All Might also looked at the boy in a new light.
'Now that I look at it clearly, he doesn't seem strange to me.' Thought the paralyzed hero.
Shigaraki now had two targets of his deadly hatred, in a fit of fury, he managed to disintegrate the webs that bound him.
"You brat, I will kill you! Kurogiri!" He growled, giving the order to his partner in crime.
Immediately, Spider-Sense was activated for Izuku, and a portal appeared in front of the greenish boy, Shigaraki going through it in the same way as before, using the same tactic, but now he seemed to be completely bloodthirsty.
Izuku knew that on a good day he could fight back, but after the monumental beating, his body was all fucked up, and getting there didn't do any good either. The greenish boy watched the hand getting closer and closer, but the spider boy moved his body away just in time for the villain's fingers to miss him, making Shigaraki completely leave the portal.
"You damn brat, I'm going to-" Shigaraki began his villainous speech, but a very distinct sound made him stop.
BANG!
The villain stopped when he felt a pain in his hand, looking at it, he saw that there was a hole gushing blood in it.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Three shots later, and the villain felt sharp pain throughout his body, falling to his knees. Not even paying attention to his surroundings anymore, he heard a voice shout.
"HELP HAS ARRIVED! I, IIDA TENYA, FROM CLASS 1-A, CAME WITH THE REINFORCEMENTS!" Tenya shouted at the top of his lungs for the entire building to hear, with him were all of U.A's hero teachers, with some already supporting the injured students and teachers and others running around the building finishing off stray villains.
Kurogiri materialized at Shigaraki's side immediately.
"Shigaraki Tomura, we must go now, we will have no chance against all these professionals, the mission has failed." He said, opening a portal and dragging the injured Shigaraki with him, before completely crossing the portal, the villain addressed Izuku and Melissa.
"You ruined everything! I will kill you for this!" He said in a hoarse, growling voice, before crossing the portal and closing it.
Izuku just stood there, before sighing in relief.
'I almost...I almost died again.' Thought the boy, turning to look at his blonde friend, seeing her close to All Might, seeming to be talking.
As Izuku got closer to the two, he noticed that All Might looked…different.
'What the hell is that?! Half withered?!' Thought the boy in shock, his favorite hero seemed withered, half of his body was strong, but the other was skeletal.
'Am I hallucinating?' Thought the boy, and before he could do anything, a cement wall blocked his view of the two. Looking to the side, he saw that Cementoss was there, observing him analytically.
"Midoriya, your colleagues are worried about you, and seeing your condition, they are absolutely right, go to the entrance immediately, doctors and nurses are already there." Said the hero, already manually leading Izuku to the entrance.
Izuku still took a look back, but decided to follow Cementoss's guidance and left, after that he would talk to Melissa.
Behind the wall erected by Cementoss, All Might finally withered completely, taking on a completely skeletal form, just skin and bones.
"Cough!" The hero coughed, and with it came a spurt of blood onto the floor, much to the concern of the blonde girl.
"Hehe, sorry to worry you Melissa." The dejected man said, barely able to look at his niece.
"Don't talk nonsense, Uncle Might, are you okay?" He asked the girl, looking distressed at her uncle's suffering.
"I'm fine, but it looks like we're going to have another problem…" The man said enigmatically.
"Which?" The girl asked worriedly.
"Apparently, young Midoriya saw me in this form." The man replied, noticing his niece's surprised look.
"Oh no…I didn't want him to…" The girl tried to say, but she lacked words, making the man look at her understandingly.
"You are really close, aren't you? Even if it's in such a short time." The man asked, looking closely at his niece, and managed to make her feel embarrassed.
"I-It's not like that! W-We're just friends, but we ended up getting along really well." The girl replied, looking down embarrassed, making her uncle smile in agreement.
"I understand." It was the only thing he said, and when he opened his mouth to say more, the voice of an acquaintance was heard by him.
"All Might, it's me, is everything okay?" The voice asked, making the skeletal blonde smile a little.
"Tsukauchi…It's okay, but I will definitely need medical treatment." Replied the skinny hero.
"Understood, I will arrange it." Tsukauchi replied, and then walked away.
All Might looked back at his niece.
"Melissa, we'll talk about this later, okay?" The man asked, paternally.
The girl finally looked at her uncle, and seeing that he wasn't angry, nodded.
"Hai…"
