Izuku had always dreamed of being a hero like All Might but without a quirk, his dreams were squandered by fate itself. Despite this Izuku hoped that he could become a hero someday, and this caused the people around him to mock his hopes, efforts, and aspirations. The worst of the bullying came from his former childhood best friend Katsura Bakugo: Kacchan, who seemingly made it his life goal to torture Izuku, calling him "Deku" and making him feel worthless.
