Chapter Three

Law's POV

Law felt something slightly brush his face but decided to ignore it, groaning and turning his head to the other side of the bed. The furry thing became more and more demanding and he realized there would be no escape from it.

"Bepo-ya… five more minutes, please?"

He heard the cat meowing, probably pissed at him for sleeping too much. He had no idea what time it was, but he definitely could sleep a lot more. His head was heavy and he felt a little nauseous from all the alcohol from last night. But then he was hit by images from only a few hours earlier and everything else lost importance.

He stretched with a satisfied yawn and a smile on his face. He would have to thank Eustass for making him leave his house last night.

Luffy was definitely something else. Last time Law felt that excited was when he was still a teenager. It was a sacrifice to see him leave so soon, but Law couldn't keep a boy he had literally just met from enjoying his birthday with his friends and family.

Law got up and jumped in the shower, trying to make himself awake - mostly for Bepo's sake, as he would rather stay in bed all day.

"Sure. What time can I pick you up?"

It didn't take long for Luffy to respond and they finished the arrangements. Law couldn't believe how excited he was about seeing a trashy movie later. He knew he would have to wake up early the next morning, but it would be worth it.

Then he decided to call Eustass back and ended up hearing a bunch of cursing. It was funny how Kid could behave like he was Law's worried mom or something.

Law took care of Bepo, prepared some food for himself and ran some errands around the house. He appreciated leaving his apartment tidy whenever he could, but now he knew he was just trying to keep his mind busy until it was time to meet Luffy. He was starting to feel a little stupid, but he couldn't avoid the ocasional smiles on his face. Kid would mock him mercilessly if he knew about that.

Back in college, Law held a fame of being coldblooded and had nothing more than one night stands. It was kind of his policy and there was no way he would get attached. His focus was towards his career only, and he wouldn't have anyone on his way.

Things were a bit different now and more recently he tried to spend some time with one of his colleagues from the hospital. Drake was a very nice guy and Law really enjoyed the contrast between his shyness in public and wild behavior when they were alone. It was fun when they escaped sometimes to fuck inside some empty office and Law really appreciated Drake's broader body against his.

But soon Drake became too clingy and Law didn't have much patience or time for that. It was not like he didn't like the guy, but Law just knew it wouldn't work. Luckily there were no hard feelings and Drake soon moved on to someone else - a pink haired resident named Coby that was actually really cute.

Law yawned, still feeling very sleepy from the clubbing. He was somehow used to not sleeping so much, but maybe a nap before his date wouldn't be so bad. There were still a few hours left until he would meet Luffy, so he set an alarm on his phone and decided to sleep on the sofa with Bepo snuggling with him.

Around three hours later, Law was in front of Luffy's place. It wasn't that far from where he lived and very close to the university. He wondered what kind of student Luffy was. Probably a troublemaker.

Law didn't have much time to wonder about it, as he saw Luffy leaving the big house he shared with his friends. He looked fresh with his hair wet and light summer clothes on. Law felt like driving him to his place in order to continue what they were doing the night before, but he controlled himself. The plan was to have a movie night.

"Hi!" Luffy entered the car, sitting next to him with a big smile on his face. Law could smell his shampoo and some other really good scent when he got closer.

"Hello there." Law finished closing the distance between them and kissed his lips softly. He didn't want to scare Luffy, but it was hard to resist him or his bright face staring at him like that.

Luckly, Luffy didn't seem scared at all. Instead, he moved his body even closer, holding Law's waist and deepening the kiss. Law sighed and opened his mouth, allowing Luffy to do some exploring. A moan escaped his lips when he felt Luffy sucking his tongue in a very suggestive way. That date was already going better than expected.

But then Luffy moved away, grinning. "We are going to miss the movie."

Law groaned in protest, nibbling the other's neck. "Do we really need to see that?"

"Come on, I heard this one is pretty awesome!"

Law sighed. "Anything for my king."

Luffy laughed. "I will remember that later."

It took Law a little while to accept that Luffy was really interested in the movie. They had bought a huge popcorn bucket with soda and were able to make out just a little during the previews. But as soon as the movie started, Law's attempts to steal kisses were either completely ignored or replied with popcorn in his mouth instead. After a while he found himself with no alternative besides watching the damn thing as well. It was hard to concentrate with Luffy so close to him. His cute face was looking very intensely at the screen and he made funny noises as he got surprised or something.

Law surrendered and decided to give it a chance, for his own sake. It had been a long time since he went to the movies anyway, so he was going to try to enjoy it.

The zombie virus had already gotten half of the world population and the protagonist was desperately looking for the cure. Very cliche, but at least the actor was hot, showing up most of the time with his shirt off, exhibiting his muscles to the camera. The sexy scientist with him wasn't bad either. It was indeed a terrible movie, as predicted, but Law admitted it was entertaining.

The climax came when the hero's girlfriend got contaminated and everything seemed lost. Law didn't need to see the rest to know that that would be the moment when the cure would magically appear. For his not so positive surprise, that's not how things ended. The whole world was infested by the terrible virus and a new zombie era started - with the main character now being their leader and a cliffhanger probably leading to a new zombie blockbuster franchise.

"What the fuck?!"

Luffy was laughing hard next to him. "I told you it was awesome!"

Law wasn't going to discuss how different their taste for movies was, but he couldn't avoid laughing with him. "It was barely watchable."

"Shut up! It was amazing."

"At least you had fun."

"I am the king of fun."

"I know you are." Law closed the distance between them and was finally rewarded with a proper kiss after almost two hours of torture. The movie was definitely shitty, but seeing Luffy having a blast with something so silly made Law kind of enjoy it too.

They left the cinema after a while and headed back to Law's car. He looked at the time, truly lamenting the fact that he would have to start working early the next morning. Damn it.

"Thanks for the date." This time it was Luffy who got closer, kissing his cheek and smelling his neck, suddenly erasing Law's worries about work.

"You are more than welcome, Luffy-ya."

Luffy grinned and Law took that as an invitation to kiss him again. He was still trying to understand what made that boy so irresistible to him. Luffy affected him in a different way, making him feel simply happy. It was hard to remember when he experienced that kind of joy before, but it didn't matter. Luffy filled all his thoughts with his magical presence and Law just embraced it.

He knew that sounded like something a very silly teenager would be thinking, but Law decided he would only feel embarrassed about it later.

Now his decision was to just let Luffy do as he pleased and, apparently, sitting on his lap was what his king wanted now.

Law unconsciously moved his seat further back, providing more space for the other, who was kissing him deeper while running his fingers down his chest, opening his shirt on the way. There was no room for thinking about what was going on, and Law tried to not freak out about the fact that they were in an open parking lot and people could probably walk by his car at any moment. But suddenly that same thought, combined with Luffy's finger pinching his right nipple, made a shiver go up his spine and a loud moan escape his mouth.

Law vaguely remembered an image of pure and cristalin smile just a few moments ago. It was hard to relate that to the same person who was attacking him now. But he wasn't complaining at all.

Luffy's lustful kisses combined with the weight of his hips moving morosely over his lap were making things escalate way too fast. Law grabbed his ass and put them even closer together, making Luffy gasp and release his mouth for a moment.
