Chapter 2

Author Note: Hey everyone I am back with another chapter and I have to admit I am absolutely stunned by how well chapter 1 was received. The sheer amount of interest, and positive feedback I have gotten has been mind blowing and sincerely thank you all who Favorited, Followed, or Reviewed expressing how much you liked the first chapter.

Now I will keep this author note brief but I will clear up a few things that many asked about…

Holly was in fact pregnant as you will see be revealed in this chapter. She wasn't far along only in the first few weeks to month but pregnant nonetheless which will be an even greater blow to Naruto.

Holly WILL NOT be coming back to life as there is no way to do so in this universe/story…I have had a few people mention dragon balls and I am going to nip that in the bud as they DO NOT EXIST in this. As I said I am keeping the DBZ elements to a minimum at best. Also I am not even going to touch the massive headache that is time travel…again no way for it to happen in the universe.

HOWEVER that is to say that Holly is gone entirely from the story…I won't go into details but this MAY not be the last we have seen of her at least in some fashion…just going to leave that vague to have you all scratching your heads trying to figure out what I mean.

I will say this now Death isn't something to be taken lightly in this story/universe…If someone dies unless VERY VERY VERY Specific circumstances as you will all see as the story progresses then that's it they are gone, no do over, no reset, no magic re-alive spell, no get outta death free card, you get the picture. Death in Invincible is not uncommon and it will happen.

Characters you may come to love or hate will die. Death will play a pivotal role in helping certain characters grow and develop. Hell Naruto is going to be doing some major growing as a character as the story progresses and he is exposed to more and more death. In essence it will help shape his character/his mindset by the latter parts of the story.

For example in this chapter he is going to be going through a lot of emotional stuff as he tries to process Holly's death, and all I will say is that if you have seen the show and have an idea of what happens in Episode 2 then the first instance of an angry Half-Saiyan Half-Viltrumite is going to be on full display several times….Now onto the story.

(Guardians of the Globe Headquarters)

In the aftermath of the betrayal and carnage not a sound could be heard in the room as the corpses of the Guardians lay where they fell while Omni-man lay among them. The silence was broken by a series of beeps before one of the doors leading into the room was blown off its hinges, sending it crashing to the ground. Following this the sound of footsteps could be heard rushing into the room despite nobody visibly entering through the door.

"Clear" a man's voice is heard saying before he and several other soldiers where high-tech looking armor and helmets decloak as they stand among the carnage. "Bring in medical now! One team per casualty!" He orders as more soldiers, these ones with red crosses on the shoulders of their arms rush in carrying various medical supplies. The medics quickly break into teams of two and start looking over the heroes on the bloody floor.

Two of the medics rush over to Aquarius where the male of the two swears "Jesus Christ what happened here?" as his female partner pulls out a vial with a spray nozzle.

The woman presses the button at the top of the bottle and a thick blue gel-like substance starts to coat the fish-man's corpse "Applying Aqueous Sealant" she states continuing to spray it all over the body.

Another two medics look down at the body of Green Ghost in shock "My god is that part of her brain?" one asks in shock looking down at the floor next to the woman's corpse where a mass of her brain tissue lay.

Two medics over by Darkwings corpse are busy running all sorts of scans as one comments "Damn I used to worship this guy as a kid" he states with a shake of his head trying to see if the hero could be saved.

Over by Immortals corpse two medics attach a high-tech collar around the man's severed neck that caps it off preventing anymore blood loss "Capping the neck now" the medic says as Immortals body starts to twitch.

"Careful sometimes it affects the spinal…" his partner says only for the body to shoot up and knock the two out before collapsing back to the floor.

Off to the side another medic picks up Immortals head and looks at it for a moment before she has to pull down her face mask to vomit on the floor. The woman wipes her mouth and pulls her mask back up "Beginning nano-suscitation…Locking in neural stabilizers" she says before putting the dead hero's head on top of a machine and an electrical sound is heard.

Over by Omni-man's body a medic scans him with a tablet as an image of the hero's heart shows on the screen showing it is still beating "Omni-man's alive!" She yells alerting other medics, two of which run over with a gurney frame and set it down around him before it lifts him up and hovers in the air. The two medics begin pushing the floating gurney out of the room being joined by the other medics who are pushing floating gurneys as well, each holding the body of one of the heroes.

An aging man with a balding head, white hair, and noticeable heavy scarring around the right side of his jaw walks in to see this before noticing the two medics pushing War Woman's gurney "Wait" he says, causing them to stop. Walking over to the gurney the man brings his right hand up to close the dead woman's eyes while his left hand stays at his side clenched in anger "Go on" he orders the medics who resume pushing the gurney out of the room.

A man with a shaved head and glasses walks up behind the aging man "Never seen anything like this" he states in shock at the scene.

The aging man lets out a tired sigh before he scowls and raises his fist up before slamming it into a medical cart the medics left behind in their haste to get the bodies out of the room and to medical care "GODDAMMIT!" he yells in rage before kicking the cart over and sighing "Donald make the calls" he says with a shake of his head.

"Ofcourse Cecil, who should I start with?" Donald asks his boss with a nod.

"Start with Debbie given how Omni-man is still alive if barely, then go from there" Cecil says as the man walks off to do as he was told, leaving Cecil to his thoughts. As he stood there Cecil internally raged at the loss of the Guardians, most of whom he considered friends before he remembered something "Damn the kid's going to have a hell of a time with all this coming at him at once" he thinks to himself as he remembers a certain detail regarding War Woman.

(Grayson Household)

Debbie wakes up with a gasp before turning to look at the otherside of her bed, finding it devoid of her husband. Normally this wouldn't cause her alarm but she can't shake the feeling something bad has happened. Shaking the dark thoughts from her head the woman gets up and puts on a bathrobe over her sleeping attire and heads down to the kitchen where she starts making some coffee and toast. After eating her light breakfast she takes a shower and gets dressed for the day before heading back downstairs to finish getting ready for work.

Just as she puts her coat on and is about to pick up her purse Naruto and Mark walk down the stairs, the former with a bit of a yawn due to how late he had stayed up waiting for a certain phone call "Morning mom" he says stifling another yawn.

"What's wrong?" Mark asks, seeing the slightly worried look on their mother's face.

"Oh nothing, just missing your father I guess. He didn't come home last night" Debbie says with a bit of a sigh.

"Mom, stop worrying, it's dad. He probably got buried under a mountain again" Mark says with a bit of a chuckle trying to cheer her up.

"Yeah or is busy cleaning himself of Kaiju crap after having flown out the ass end of one again…I mean remember the last time he did it and came home covered in it? You tore into him with a fury that still haunts me to this day after he dripped shit all over the carpets" Naruto adds with a laugh that Mark mirrored at one of the few times they had seen their father cower under the fury of his wife.

"That's true and it wouldn't be the first time he hasn't come home or has come home late" Debbie says with a bit of a laugh as a smile forms on her face remembering those incidents. Grabbing her purse she heads to the door and starts to open it as she turns back to look at the two teens "Don't be late for school you two" she adds before turning and gasping as she sees two men in suits walking up to the porch.

"Mrs. Grayson we need you three to come with us…it's bad" one of the agent's states causing the eyes of all three Grayson family members to widen in shock.

(Underneath the Pentagon/ D.o.D., Secret Global Defense Agency Headquarters)

The three Grayson family members who were joined by Donald were currently in a high-tech elevator as it descended deep underground "Nolan's receiving the absolute pinnacle of medical care" Donald says as the elevator comes to a stop and the doors open into a hallway. The four step out and begin walking down said hallway before Donald continues "As the Global Defense Agency we have access to technology far beyond anything the rest of the world has and that includes medical technology" he adds leading them down the hall.

As they pass by a series of windows Mark looks out to see a hangar bay with various highly advanced aircraft in it with several taking off "Whoa…" he states in awe of the sight.

"Ah yes that's one of our threat-response teams, they're able to get anywhere-Were not in the mood for the tour Donald" Donald begins to say only for Debbie to interrupt him. The man grimaces slightly at this "Right, sorry Debbie" he apologized realizing his lack of tack given the situation.

"Dad never mentioned you guys" Mark states with a raised eyebrow, finding it odd how Nolan never mentioned working alongside a massive secret organization.

"Kinda defeats the purpose of them being a 'Secret' organization if a bunch of people know about it and start telling others Mark" Naruto states with a roll of his eyes for Mark's lack of foresight with his statement.

"Your brother is right. In fact the only reason he knew about our existence prior to today was because of his decision to vaporize a Canadian mountain" Donald states with a slight smirk on his face. Hearing the whole 'Barbeau Peak' incident brought up again causes Naruto to just sigh and slump his shoulders in defeat. Donald seeing this just shakes his head "Anyway we work with superheroes like your father to keep the world safe. Heh who knows maybe someday we will even work with the two of you" he adds with a bit of a grin.

The party of four eventually stops at a door before Donald presses a button and it slides open to reveal Nolan lying in a bed unconscious. He has bandages covering his forehead, and wrapped around his entire right arm along with various high tech looking medical sensors and scanners attached to him. Behind his bed was a large screen displaying a scan of his entire body along with his vitals. Upon seeing the state of her husband Debbie gasps "Oh, my god Nolan!" she says before rushing into the room to be at his bedside with Naruto and Mark following right behind her.

"...Fucking hell" Naruto whispers in shock at seeing his father this badly beaten up which was a first for him.

"He's going to be okay right?" Mark asks with a slight tremble in his voice due to his fright at the idea his dad might die.

"We…hope so, and our doctors are doing their best, but we don't get a lot of Viltrumites in here" Donald says, trying to be optimistic for the sake of the family but having to be honest with how uncertain things are.

"Who did this?" Naruto asks gritting his teeth in anger as he clenches his fists so tightly his knuckles turn white.

"We have no idea, not yet anyway, but we'll find out and when we do they are going to look a hell of a lot worse than your dad over there" Cecil says as he walks into the room and leans up against the door frame causing Naruto, Mark, and Debbie to turn towards him. Cecil then turns Debbie and gives her a nod "Deborah" he says simply in greeting before looking at Naruto "Naruto good to see you again wish it was better circumstances" he adds shaking Naruto's hand.

"Um, who are you?" Mark asks in confusion as to who the man was and how he knew his mom, brother, and father.

"Sorry about that with everything that's happened it slipped my mind that we hadn't met before. The names Cecil Steadman, Director of the GDA" Cecil says introducing himself to Mark before turning to look back at Debbie "I'm so sorry" he says simply causing her to narrow her eyes.

"You've got a lot of nerve" Debbie spits out getting to her feet with a scowl on her face as she crosses her arms and looks at the scarred man.

"Someone murdered the Guardians of the Globe last night, all of them" Cecil says suddenly causing Debbie to gasp, Mark's eyes to widen in shock, and Naruto's eyes to widen in horror as he freezes in place his legs nearly giving out from under him. Seeing this the scarred man sighs "Whoever it was tore'em limb from limb. We tried like hell to bring them back but Nolan is the only survivor…I'm sorry about Holly Naruto" the man adds walking over and putting his hand on the horrified teens shoulder to try and comfort him.

Hearing this Debbie looks at him in confusion "Naruto what does Holly have to do with any of this?" she asks, wondering how the girl her son was dating factored into the Guardians being killed.

However for several moments all she got was silence as a response before Cecil decided to answer for Naruto given his state "Holly Rohan is War Woman's actual name, and she is the girl that he has been dating not for several weeks but actually a little over 2 years" he says shocking both Mark and Debbie with the revelation. The former was stunned that his brother was dating none other than War Woman who was one of the most attractive female superheroes in the world and consistently landing in the top 5 or 3 on various beauty ranking lists. Debbie on the other hand was completely floored that one of her sons was secretly dating an older woman, and apparently had been for nearly two years without any of them finding out.

Cecil clenched his fist that wasn't on Naruto's shoulder in rage at what the next reveal could possibly do as he could tell the kid was barely holding it together as is "I'm afraid I have more bad news. Our scans of Holly's body while we were trying to bring her back revealed that she was…pregnant, roughly a month in by what the scans picked up. I'm sorry kid." he adds, causing Debbie to bring her hands up to her mouth in shock as she gasps while Naruto's eyes widen even further in shock before his legs give out from under him and he falls to the floor.

Naruto brings his right hand up to where his right eye is covered by his palm "Pregnant…what she wanted to tell me…pregnant" he whispers out in shock as tears well up in his eyes and begin trailing down his cheeks. Debbie rushes over and kneels down before wrapping her arms around his head and pulling it towards her chest to try and comfort him as he continues to just mutter the same words over and over with tears leaking down his cheeks.

Mark is completely floored by the reveal that his brother was going to be a father. As he watches his brother's breakdown he feels a sense of rage and hatred well up in his chest for whoever was responsible for reducing Naruto to this state. To Mark, Naruto was always so strong and full of life it was like he was invincible…The irony of which was not lost on him. Seeing his brother reduced to this state it felt as if the world or at leasts Mark's rose-tinted version of it had shattered and he was seeing reality for the first time. The teen then looks to Cecil "How is it even possible for someone to kill all the guardians, and nearly kill our dad like this?" he asks the man.

"We don't know yet. We also don't know why your dad was at Guardians HQ last night. However, our working theory is that whoever killed the Guardians knocked out the security systems and cameras, lured in and killed the Guardians, and then lured your dad there to try and wipe them out all at once." Cecil replies with a grim tone and shake of his head. The mere thought of someone being able to take out the entire team all at once and then still be in good enough shape to nearly beat someone of Omni-man's caliber to near death AND then leave honestly terrified the aged man, and he wasn't one to terrify easily given all the messed up shit he has seen.

"Why would someone do all that?" Mark asks not seeing the reasoning behind taking such a risk as to fight all the Guardians at once and then fight his dad, let alone the reason behind wanting to kill them in the first place.

"That's the easy part of this whole mystery kid. There isn't a super-villain alive who doesn't want Omni-man and the Guardians six feet under. Hell your dad alone has a larger list of people than the entire Guardians team did combined. Anyway for now we're keeping this all hush-hush, but the news will break sooner or later. That being said I wanted the three of you to know first, not only because Nolan is your Husband or Father but also because Naruto deserved to find out about Holly in person instead of hearing about it on the news" Cecil says answering Mark's rather obvious question while also explaining why he pulled the family of three in to talk.

Suddenly Naruto stood up breaking free of Debbie's hold and made to walk out the door "Naruto where are you going?" the woman asked only to receive silence as an answer as he opened the door and walked out into the hall.

Debbie made to go after her son only for Cecil to hold his arm out "Let him go Debbie. It's not the first time I have seen someone with that look in their eyes. He needs time to process what has happened and then vent his emotions or he is going to explode and with his power that's like someone hitting a nuke with a hammer…you don't want to be anywhere near it when it goes off. I will have a drone or two keeping an eye on him in case he needs any help for whatever reason. But for now the best thing for him is for us to just step back until he comes to us or more specifically you" he says to the woman with a shake of his head. There hadn't been a time where Naruto had ever cut loose or raged so he had no idea what to expect and that honestly terrified him slightly.

Hearing this Debbie let out a sigh of defeat as she knew the man had a point "Cold towels, and ice water, and have a cot brought in here for me" she said suddenly confusing Mark and getting a raised brow from Cecil.

"Debbie we have the best trained…" Cecil begins to say only to stop as the woman glares at him fiercely.

"I have been patching Nolan up for 20 Years Cecil, I am NOT leaving" the woman says fiercely interrupting the man mid sentence.

The two stare each other down for a moment before Cecil nods in acceptance, However Donald suddenly brings a finger up to his earpiece before looking to Cecil "Sir there's some kind of attack happening in downtown Chicago…Numerous Contacts, advanced heavy weapons…multiple casualties" he lists off to his boss.

"Now? We're a little understaffed in the hero department at the moment" Cecil says with a scowl at the timing of such an attack. Hearing this Mark looks to his injured father for a moment as a determined look forms on his face and he walks out the door of the room. Seeing this Cecil watches him for a moment before turning to Donald "See if you can use one of the drones to contact his brother for backup. I just hope he isn't already unleashing his rage or we might have to worry about major collateral damage" the man adds, getting a nod from Donald as he contacts the command room.

(Downtown Chicago)

Several thick black columns of smoke could be seen rising into the air over the towering skyline of the city as Invincible approached it. Flying above several buildings he looked down to see a very large red portal in the middle of one of the roads from which a veritable army of alien-like beings were pouring out of. "Holy shit" the teen says in shock at the sight as hundreds of alien soldiers accompanied by futuristic tanks marching out of the portals.

Down on the ground people run in terror from the invading army which begins ruthlessly opening fire on them with their futuristic laser rifles. The unending barrage of shots tear into the masses of fleeing civilians blowing bloody holes in their bodies, limbs off, or blowing apart their heads in a grisly bloody display. Cops who had arrived on the scene begin taking shots at the aliens from behind the cover of their cars only for their efforts to be completely pointless as several aliens rush up and deploy several unfolding barricades.

One of the alien tanks aims its main cannon at the police force and opens fire with a large red laser blast bolt. The bolt sails through the air and several cops scatter to avoid the shot which catches one of them directly turning his body into a bloody mist splatter before blowing apart the car he was in front of.

Seeing this from the sky, Invincible shakes his head "Get it together Mark, get in there!" he says psyching himself up before he rockets towards the scene. As he flies towards the army he has to juke side to side to avoid several laser blasts from the tanks which notice him approaching and open fire. Reaching the scene he touches down on the ground as terrified people run all around him trying to get away from the invaders "STOP get away from those people!" Invincible yells at the aliens moments before a dozen people are shredded by laser fire right in front of him sending their blood guts, and severed body parts flying through the air with some of it landing on him. Before he can even process what just happened a laser blast strikes Invincible dead center in the chest sending him flying back with a groan as he crashes to the ground.

Getting back up to his feet with his ears ringing from the impact, Invincible looks around in shock as he notices the blood on him. "Oh shit" he wheezes out as he watches a man in a business suit run away while engulfed in flames seconds before he explodes in a bloody spray from a laser blast exploding at his fight. "Get it together" Invisible says as he watches an elderly woman crawl along the ground trying to get to safety.

"Help me" the woman says weakly, the request not directed at anyone in particular as she continues to slowly crawl away. However one of the invaders notices her and walks over. With a smug sadistic smirk on its face it takes aim at the woman's head with his laser rifle.

Seeing this, Invincible's eyes widened "NO!" he yells rocketing forward and grabbing a piece of concrete with rebar sticking out of it as he does so before chucking it at the invader hitting it in the side of its head over the right eye sending it flying back. Reaching the elderly woman he shields her with his body as he flips her over and into his arms "It's okay, I'm here, are you hurt?" he rapidly asks the woman who just looks up at him in slight shock.

From where it landed the alien gets to its knees and stares at Invincible with its lone good eye given how its right one is destroyed and a large bleeding gash is covering where it once was "Brax Moy!" it yells in its language to the it's fellow soldiers who turn their attention to Invincible and begin opening fire on him.

Acting fast, Invincible picks the woman up in his arms and begins to fly out the area trying to find a safe place to set her down only to swerve and dodge incoming laser fire from every direction. One shot manages to finally find its mark and hit him in the back, sending them both crashing to the ground in a crater that had been made from a previous tank shot. Getting his bearings once more, Invincible looks down at the woman in his arms "Oh god, oh shit!" He states in shock upon seeing her bleeding from her head, both of her arms bloody and severely broken in multiple places, and one of her legs so broken that it is twisted around multiple times below her knee.

Seeing Invincible crash to the ground, the invader he wounded gains a sadistic grin as he turns to watch his fellow invaders continue to pour out of the portal. The invader gets to his feet and walks over to one of the advanced tanks, before climbing atop it and opening the cockpit canopy and yanking the surprised pilot out of it before jumping down into the control seat. He proceeds to shift the targeting control screen over to the crater and takes aim at Invincibles head which is sticking out above the top of the crater. Letting out a sinister chuckle the invader squeezes the trigger of the cannon sending a large red laser bolt hurtling towards the unaware hero.

Hearing the shot, Invincible turns his head to see the laser bolt heading straight at him causing his eyes to widen as he awaits his death. However at the last moment a large see-through flat pink square forms between him and the shot causing it to ricochet away from the hero and slam into a building in an explosion. Both Invincible and the invader look on in shock at this as a teenage girl floats down to the ground on three small pink thrusters of energy emitting from below her hands, and feet.

As she lands, Invincible gets a proper look at her. The girl was a redhead with hair that went down to her upper-back, slightly pale almost peach-colored skin, and her eyes were a brilliant bright green. She was wearing a complete pink one piece with lighter pink motifs bodysuit with a crossed out light-pink female sex symbol in a white circle on her chest, a short light-pink cape, and pink shin boots with light-pink trim. The costume hugged her body tightly and smoothly. Said body had nice curves but was well built and nicely sculpted, her breasts were either a D or DD-cup size from his estimations and while noticeable in her outfit didn't stick out like some other female heroes and instead fit her body type. Her bottom was also captivating as she had a round heart shaped ass from what he was able to tell

"I don't know who all of you think you are but it's time for all of you to leave" the girl states with a hardened tone as she narrows her eyes at the army.

The injured invader in the tank says something in his language and is about to fire the tanks cannon again when he hears a noise. Looking up his eyes widen as he sees a flying vehicle headed straight for him so he jumps out of the tank barely avoiding the explosion caused by the flying vehicle slamming into the tank destroying both. As the injured invader gets to his feet he notices three other figures land next to the red headed superhero.

The first is a girl of asian descent with black hair styled in a bob cut. She was wearing a purple and gray colored one-piece super suit that covered her entire body from the neck down. It also oddly had the number 1 emblazoned on the chest area over her boobs.

Next to her was a hispanic teen wearing a primarily cream and rust orange in color outfit that consisted of a pair of pants, long sleeved tunic, thermal swim cap, and goggles with orange tinted lenses. To finish the look he had on, brown leather gloves, calf boots, and belt were added with said belt hold what looked like change dispensers.

Rounding out the trio of new arrivals was a humanoid bronze colored robot with green optics. Various mathematical symbols flashed across the robots green optics as he stared at the army of invaders "Eve, two and half seconds after this sentence, three enemy tanks will align 50 degrees to your right" the robot says as the asian teen and the hispanic teen run off with the latters hands glowing yellow.

"I got it" Eve says, turning to her right and sure enough just as the robot had predicted three enemy tanks lined up not far off. Taking a few steps Eve brought her hands together before pulling them apart as they glowed pink creating a javelin made of pinky energy before hurling it at the three vehicles. In mere seconds it whizzed through the air before tearing through the metal of all three of the tanks causing them to detonate in a large explosion.

The robot takes several steps and brings its arm up to block a laser shot before firing a laser bolt out of his right wrist as he uses his left fist to punch an invader "Rex civilians in danger on your left" he comments shooting another enemy.

"Ugh yeah I got eyes to Robot" the hispanic teen remarks sarcastically with a roll of his eyes before jumping in the air. While airborne he flips upside down before grabbing several marbles from his pockets and charging them with energy. After a moment he throws them towards a group of invaders the marbles now beach ball sized orbs of energy explode when they make contact with the invaders blowing them to pieces as a mother and her child cower behind some cover as laser blasts fly above their heads.

Robot turns to see an explosion on the side of a nearby skyscraper "Dupli-kate…" he begins to say only for the asian girl to run past him towards a group of invaders. She punches two before splitting into 2 of herself and repeats the process several times as she knocks, kicks, and chokes out half a dozen enemies "...Keep doing what you're doing" Robot adds with a brief thumbs up as Eve flys by him on her pink energy thrusters.

Laser blasters whiz all around her as she floats in the air and creates a sheet of pink energy under a group of invaders before launching them into the air. However, turning to look behind her she sees several laser blasts heading her way forcing her to create a pinkshield of energy in front of her to block the shots. She then notices laser blasts whizzing by her from behind causing her to turn her head and see a group of about 22 invaders trying to flank her from behind. Maintaining the shield with one arm she whips her other one back at the two closest invaders creating spheres of pink energy around their heads choking them out.

It was then that Eve notices her fellow hero and the injured old lady still in the crater "You get her to a hospital, we can handle this!" Eve shouts at the blue and yellow themed hero.

"You're Atom Eve…" Invincible remarks as if a massive battle isn't going on all around him.

"I am picking up a fast moving object headed directly towards us on my sensors. It'll be here in approximately…"Robot begins to say only to be cut off by a blur flying at the group before suddenly stopping in mid-air. The sudden deceleration of the blur kicks up a massive gust of wind and dust that nearly knocks everyone standing onto the ground "Nevermind it's here" Robot remarks off handedly.

As the dust clears it reveals Naruto in his Sentinel costume floating in mid-air with a scowl on his face as he stares down at the carnage filled battlefield. After a moment he spots Invincible in the crater with the elderly woman "Invincible get your head out of your ass and get that woman to a hospital you're no use here the way you are now" he snaps out at his brother, shocking him by the harshness of the statement.

"Na-I mean Sentinel but…"Invincible begins to say nearly using his brother's actual name by mistake due to his shock.

"DO AS I FUCKING SAY INVINCIBLE!" Sentinel yells in anger causing his brother to flinch while the other hero's eyes widen in slight shock at the display. After a moment, Invincible complies with the order and carefully picks the elderly woman up before flying away. Turning his attention to the invaders Sentinel's fists twists into a snarl "You fuckers picked the absolute fucking worst day to invade, so I hope you have prayed to whatever higher power you worship for mercy…becasue I have none to give" he spits out his tone of voice sending chills down the spines of the other heroes "You four can stay if you want but stay the hell outta my way or I can't guarantee your safety" he says addressing his fellow heroes for the first time with said heroes shivering slightly under his gaze minus Robot obviously.

Turning his attention back to the invaders, Sentinel raises his right hand as his blue aura flares up around his body and an orb of ki roughly the size of a basketball forms in his hand. With an almost lazy flick of his wrist the hero sends it flying towards a group of roughly two dozen invaders where it detonates in a large blue explosion vaporizing them in a flash "Your turn" he states icily with a tone of mockery towards the invaders.

From his spot near the back of the army the wounded invaders snarled hatefully at the display before pointing at the floating hero "BRAX MOY!" it yells loudly causing its fellow invaders to start firing at the floating hero with a massive barrage of laser blasts.

As the blasts get closer and closer to the point it looks like they are about to hit Sentinel he takes no action whatsoever before all of a sudden the lasers start curving all around him and ricocheting off behind him hitting the various buildings in the air with small explosions from each hit. After nearly a minute of continuous fire the scarred invader raises his hand to signal a halt to the attack thinking his enemy was dead or at the very least fatally injured.

However much to the shock and horror of himself and the rest of his fellow invaders the hero was not only alive but unharmed. Sentinel floated in the air showing no signs of injury whatsoever minus his right hand smoking slightly "Holy shit what the hell did he do?" Rex asks, having no idea how the hero is unharmed.

"Remarkable, rather than avoiding, or blocking the barrage of laser fire, he took them head on and simply used his hand to rapidly deflect every single projectile mere seconds before it would have struck him" Robot states with its eyes glowing having recorded and played back the scene in super slow-mo to analyze it.

"That's insane, how can anyone do that?" Dupli-kate asks in complete disbelief at the feat.

"He would have to have the reaction times of a high-grade speedster likely nearing that of someone like Red Rush. Furthermore he likely has a durability level almost as strong or possibly as strong as Omni-man in order for his body to not be harmed even when deflecting the blasts" Robot states in observation.

"...Pathetic" Sentinel states coldly as he stares down at the army before he cracks his neck "You beings won't even be a warm up for me" he adds as his aura flares widely like a raging fire around him.

"I would advise we fall back to a safe distance…immediately!" Robot suddenly says the urgency in his tone is detectable despite it being a synthetic voice which shocks his team members. Acting fast the four heroes vacate the immediate area to give Sentinel and the army some space.

The invaders stare at Sentinel frozen in place by the display he gave, not daring to take their eyes off of him. However he suddenly vanished from their eyes in a single blink before reappearing in front of one of them. The invader didn't even have time to widen his eyes before Sentinel punched him in the chest with such force it punched through the invader. Tilting his head slightly with a blank look on his face, Sentinel lifted the skewered alien up off his feet dangling him on this arm. As the invader coughed out blood Sentinel withdrew his arms slightly so that his fist was inside the beings chest and formed a small ki ball around his fist.

The alien began screeching and screaming in pain as its inside began to cook from the heat of the attack as it frantically clawed at Sentinel's arm trying to get free. With a lazy flick of his arm the enraged hero sent his victim flying off into several of its fellow soldiers, sending them falling to the ground. Seeing this the hero clenched his right hand into a fist detonating the glowing ki ball in the beings chest vaporizing it and several others in an explosion of blood and guts.

The other invaders had no time to even react to this as Sentinel was suddenly upon them ripping them to shreds with his bare hands sending blood and viscera flying into the air and across the ground. With a knife-like slice of his hand he casually decapitated an invader before spinning kicking another one in half at the waist. Flipping through the air he delivered an axe kick to another's head that obliterated the body part before slicing down through the beings body like a knife through butter. Dashing to another enemy Sentinel grabbed it's arms and ripped them off in a shower of blood before jamming one of them through the screaming invaders mouth and out the back of it's skull. The other severed arm he threw like a javelin at several other invaders, the limb piercing through all of them easily.

Blitzing over to a enemy tank Sentinel grabbed it by the barrel of it's main cannon and lifted it into the air above his head before slamming it down on some invaders who screamed in terror as they futilely held their arms above their heads to try and shield themselves from the makeshift club. As it slammed into the ground flattening the invaders under it, the tank exploded in a large explosion. Turning to his left Sentinel fired off a small-scale Volcanic Explosion that vaporized nearly two dozen more invaders along with a section of the road and half of a heavily damaged building causing what was left of it to come crashing to the ground. Ascending roughly a hundred feet into the air, Sentinel gathered energy around his fists before unleashing a devastating ki barrage down upon the enemy army.

The injured invader watched on in rage and horror as the barrage of energy blasts rained down on his fellow soldiers. Deafening explosions mixed with screams of pain and terror filled the air as the blasts made contact with the ground or flesh and exploded. Body parts went flying through the air as their owners were blown to bits or vaporized by the blasts. Chunks of rock and debris shredded those fortunate enough to avoid the blasts but unfortunate enough to not be far enough away from the explosions.

Ceasing his barrage of blasts, Sentinel floated to the ground and began charging up a Final Crash attack. The possibility of massive collateral damage was the furthest thing from his mind at the moment. His thoughts were solely on how he had just found out about the death of the woman he loved and their unborn child. How he hasn't even had time to process their deaths due to these bastards deciding to invade. At the moment he didn't care that they had likely killed dozens if not hundreds of people he just wanted them erased so he continued charging his attack.

The injured invader looked on with wide eyes as the black haired demon seemed to be charging a massive attack of some kind. He was about to give the order to attack when he noticed his body start to rapidly age along with the bodies of all his fellow invaders causing him to panic. The invaders start running back to the portal they emerged from as fast as their aging bodies can with several dropping to the ground dead along the way. The bleeding invader stops just outside the portal and glares at Sentinel who is still charging his attack. He lets out a growl seeing this before walking through the portal which closes seconds later.

Seeing the portal close mere moments before his attack is ready, Sentinel lets out a roar of rage and launches the attack straight up into the sky instead of in front of him. The other hero's eyes widen in shock at the size of the attack as blasts away any clouds in the area. Atom Eve also has a pit of dread form in her stomach as she imagines what could have happened if the attack was launched at where the invaders were instead of the sky.

"What the shit?" Rex mutters out in disbelief at the display he is seeing not being able to comprehend an attack or power of that magnitude. It both infuriated and terrified the teen as it far outclassed his power to charge things with energy and make them explode.

Ceasing his attack Sentinel started breathing deeply as he tried to calm down and reign in his rage. As the fog began to clear so to speak he winced at having lost control so much. "Damn what the hell was I thinking attempting to fire off a Final Crash smack dab in the middle of a city" he thinks mentally berating himself for the careless action that would have resulted in a lot of innocent lives lost. Turning around to see the other heroes looking at him "Are you four okay?" he asks.

"Um yeah…thanks for the assist by the way" Atom Eve says awkwardly as she is honestly unsure of how to act around the fellow hero given what she just saw.

"That's good…Also I apologize if I frightened any of you with my display. I got clouded in my rage but it's no excuse for putting all of you and any innocent people in harm's way as a result" Sentinel says apologizing for his actions.

"None of us are injured from your actions though the remark is appreciated" Robot remarks in his standard tone while his processors are working overtime analyzing the recordings of the fight he just witnessed.

"Thank you…Normally I am not like that it's just today I received some…devastating news and was in the middle of processing it when I got word of the attack" Sentinel says lowering his head slightly and sighing before looking up at the fellow heroes "Anyway I am heading out see ya" he adds as he begins to float up into the air before flying off leaving a sonic boom in his wake.

"I have no idea what just happened…but I think I speak for all of us when I hope it NEVER happens again!" Rex shouts out before turning and walking off.

"...Indeed" Robot remarks while staring off in the direction Sentinel flew in while unknown to him Atom Eve and Dupli-kate are doing the same thing.

(G.D.A. Headquarters, Hospital Section)

Walking down the hallways towards his father's room Naruto enters to see Mark still in his hero outfit, the front of which was covered in blood, slumping next to their father's bed with Debbie holding him "I tried my best. I tried to be like dad and Naruto…" he says quietly, his tone full of sadness for his failure.

"And that is why you failed" Naruto says alerting the other two to his presence "Instead of trying to be like us you should have tried to be your own hero" he adds admonishing his brother's actions.

"Naruto now isn't the time" Debbie says turning to look at him with a slight glare.

"No, now is the perfect time. Dad is out of commission and we don't know when or if he is going to get back up. The Guardians of the Globe are dead and the remaining teams of heroes or solo heroes are going to have to pick up the slack from now on. Today was a perfect example of just how vulnerable the world is now and Mark needs to realize that this isn't some game. Every time there is a crisis people will get hurt, some might die, sometimes a lot of people will die. Today a lot of people died because he froze up. Now I will give him some leeway in that a full on invasion is a tough scenario to handle for any hero let alone one that is literally just starting. But that doesn't change the fact that a large number of the people who died today maybe wouldn't have if his head was in the fight. He needs to stop trying to be like Dad or me and figure out just what being a hero means to him" Naruto counters by silencing his mother before walking out of the room leaving them there.

(Next Day, Reginald Vel Johnson High School)

Mark was making his way down the halls of the highschool with a somber look on his face as he mulled over the words his brother had said to him the day before. No matter how much he tried to rationalize things he was unable to find any flaws in what was said. Naruto was right as at this point in time Mark didn't know what kind of hero he was or wanted to be. Not to mention if he hadn't froze up yesterday more people would have probably survived the attack.

Thinking about his brother Mark couldn't help but wince, given how Naruto never came home yesterday after leaving the GDA headquarters. He had thought about going out and looking for him to see if he was alright but after the disaster that was yesterday Mark could barely function emotionally let alone physically from his depressed state.

As he walked down the hall Mark paid no attention to how he bumped into several students and how William called out to him before ultimately coming to stop in front of said friend.

"Whoa dude are you okay?" William asks, seeing the depressed look on his friend's face.

"My dad um…he got attacked" Mark replies in a somber tone.

"What? You're kidding?" William asks his eyes wide in shock thinking it's a joke but upon seeing Mark's expression not change he realized it wasn't a joke "Oh shit you're not kidding. Is he okay? What happened? How's your mom and Naruto?" he rapidly asks.

"He's uh in the hospital and they are doing the best they can but it's…messed up William. Mom's trying to act tough but I can tell it's tearing her up seeing him like this. As for Naruto, his girlfriend died the other night and it destroyed him. Hell he didn't even come home last night" Mark explains with a sad sigh.

"Holy shit I didn't even know Naruto was dating someone but for her to be killed so close to your dad getting attacked…Jesus dude I am so sorry. Did they catch who did it?" William asks in disbelief at the two big tragedies to hit so close to each other.

"No not yet for either my dad or Naruto's girlfriend" Mark says with a shake of his head.

"Jesus dude, speaking as someone who has been attacked in this city, I am here for you dude. Granted, being attacked due to my sexuality isn't like your dad being attacked or Naruto's girlfriend being killed but you know. Whatever you need I am here. You wanna talk, I'll listen. You and your family need a lasagna, I make a pretty good one if I do say so myself." William says wholeheartedly as he puts his hand on Mark's shoulder to comfort him.

Mark cracks a small smile hearing this before something catches his eye off to the side and he sees Eve Wilkins standing a bit down the hall at her locker causing his eyes to widen in realization "Eve Wilkins" he says in an almost trance-like state.

"Huh what?" William says in confusion before following Mark's line of sight and seeing said girl "Um yeah that's her" he adds with a raised eyebrow unsure of what Mark is talking about.

"I need to talk to her" Mark suddenly says out of nowhere.

"Ha you and all the other straight boys in a ten-mile radius. Eve is practically the top of the hetero, lesbian, and bisexual pyramid of hotness in not only our school but several nearby schools so good luck with that" William says with a laugh given how said girl was not only among the most popular but also most attractive girls around. The teen had to admit that if he wasn't 100% attracted to other guys then odds are even he would get a rise from seeing her. "Also didn't you just get your ass nearly kicked last week for one Amber Bennett?" he adds only to be ignored as Mark walks over to Eve.

"Eve?" Mark says suddenly in a slightly loud volume as he walks up to the girl.

"Um hey…Mark right?" Eve says with a slightly raised eyebrow as she is curious as to the sudden approach.

"Grayson, yeah…Um thanks for saving my butt back there…Yesterday I mean" Mark says sheepishly as he puts his hand on the back of his head.

"Yesterday?..." Eve remarks with a look of confusion on her face before she realizes something and her eyes widen "Oh that was you? In the blue and the yellow?" she says, whispering slightly as she puts the pieces together.

"Um yeah" Mark says with a small grin and a chuckle before leaning in slightly "I'm, um…Invincible. God that sounds dumb when I say it like that" he says revealing his hero identity to her before realizing just how stupid it sounded.

"More like it sounds a little optimistic…I'm Atom Eve, but the rest of the team just calls me Eve, as does everyone else" Eve says with a slight grin on her face.

"Right because it's kind of a normal name and not something like…" Mark says before trailing off in slight embarrassment.

"Invincibile?" Eve remarks with a teasing grin.

"Invincible yeah" Mark replies with a bit of a depressed sigh.

Seeing the teens slightly depressed demeanor Eve decides to reach out to him "Do you want to talk about yesterday?" she asks with a kind smile "You look like you really need to talk about yesterday" she adds with a slightly firm tone getting a slight smile from Mark as the two walk off.

As the two walk down the hall a pair of girls watch them go "I heard that after the incident where Naruto made Todd shit himself with a look that the next day Mark went back and stood up to him. Then he let Todd hit him like 20 times and didn't even flinch. Todd got so freaked out he stayed home for several days" one girl says to the other.

"Are you talking about Mark Grayson?" Amber says walking up behind the two girls surprising them slightly by her sudden appearance.

"Duh of course Amber, you're kinda the reason Todd beat him again" the other girl remarks with a roll of her eyes causing Amber to raise an eyebrow in interest.

(Roof of the School)

Mark and Eve sat on the edge of the roof to the school looking out at the school's track and field "You know I never recognized you before" Mark says offhandedly.

"That's the thing no one does. It's a psychological thing where if you don't expect to see a superhero in your school, you don't see a superhero in your school even if you're looking right at them" Eve says with a chuckle and smirk.

"Hmm weird, I mean I just feel like I should have recognized you, heck I follow Teen Team on Instagram" Mark remarks with a shrug at how odd he found it that he didn't recognize Eve sooner.

"Yep that's us, everyone's fourth favorite superhero team" Eve quips with a smile finding it funny that a team of teenage superheroes were so popular compared to the various other teams that were out there. Though part of her thought it might be due to how tight and or revealing hers and Dupli-kate's costumes were.

"Hey I like you guys way better than Fight Force" Mark offers with a smirk.

"Oh we are definitely way better than Fight Force. Hell those guys are the worst, I mean they got their asses kicked by the Lizard League of all people last year" Eve jokes with a grin at how bad the other team was.

"Yeah that wasn't a good look for them, probably why they went through a big restructure after their epic failure" a new voice says surprising the two causing them to look around and not see anyone "Up here" the voice says causing them to look up and see Naruto floating above them "You know I would think two fellow superheroes would know to look up" he adds as he floats down to the roof and takes a seat next to Eve.

Eve looks at Naruto for a moment before her eyes widen "Holy crap your Sentinel!" she says in realization before facepalming "Ugh can't believe I fell victim to the whole psychology thing as well" she adds getting a chuckle out of Naruto.

"No sweat though to be fair I did recognize you as Atom Eve prior to meeting you officially yesterday" Naruto says with a bit of a tease causing Eve to pout.

"Oh and just what was it that you recognized about me that made you realize I am Atom Eve?" Eve asks with a raised eyebrow thinking he meant her face or figure.

Naruto chuckles hearing "It was your orangish-red hair combined with your green eyes. However to be honest it was mainly your hair that caught my attention" he says with a slight smirk as he looks out at the track field.

"My hair?" Eve asks with an eyebrow raised in confusion as to how that was what caught his attention.

"Yeah I thought it was pretty when I first saw it, as it's a unique shade of color compared to other people with orangish hair. Then factoring in your green eyes as well, it wasn't too hard to put two and two together and figure out you were Atom Eve" Naruto remarks.

Hearing this causes Eve to develop a light dusting of a blush on her cheeks as she has never had anyone compliment her on her hair being pretty or what caught their attention before. "Well um thank you" she says brushing a lock of said hair behind her eye before turning to look at Mark "So you're new to this right?" she asks, referring to being a superhero.

"Uh yeah, I just got my powers. That was also my first big fight" Mark reveals, getting a nod of understanding from Eve while Naruto just remains silent, choosing to listen to his brother vent.

"Ah, okay that explains a lot. Still not horrible for a rookie" Eve offers comfortably trying to cheer the teen up slightly.

"Are you kidding? I froze out there, lots of people got hurt, a lot of people died!" Mark says with a panicked look on his face as his voice cracks slightly.

"People escaped because of you, and everyone freezes their first time. Hell I used to throw up before every fight, like projectile vomiting barf my guts out type of throwing up" Eve says getting a snicker from naruto and a scoff from Mark.

"Really?" Naruto asks with a grin and raised eyebrow as he pictures the scene in his head.

Seeing the look on Naruto's face and having an idea of what is going through Naruto's head Eve proceeds to punch his upper arm "Yes I was like a fire hydrant but with puke" she remarks with a narrowed look at him. Turning her attention back to Mark she continues "But, you will get used to it…The fights not the whole barfing bit." she adds on just to be clear.

"She is right Mark. Honestly given what we found out yesterday and the fact that you just got your powers, and that was your first big fight you didn't do horribly. Hell it was my first big fight as well and to be honest if it wasn't for my…anger. I think I would have been right there with you in freezing up. Additionally I was too hard on you after the fight given everything." Naruto says with a sigh as he sort of apologizes to his brother without revealing any private details to Eve.

"I don't know, it just wasn't what I was expecting. I mean I figured I would punch some aliens, and they'd go home ya'know?" Mark says with a somber look.

"Not how it looks on TV right?" Eve says softly at the reality of just how brutal being a superhero can be compared to how it looks on TV when the news covers the fights.

"Yeah no shit…thanks for the talk it helped" Mark says with a small smile feeling slightly better after the talk.

"I charge 250 an hour" Eve says standing up and holding out her hand to Mark who has a dumbfounded look on her face. Seeing this Eve lets out a laugh "Now I am kidding! Wow you are new at this" she says with a grin.

"Damn and here I was wondering what two grand would get me" Naruto jokes with a laugh causing Eve to blush and glare at him "Oh come on you make a joke like that yet can't take one in retaliation of a more risque tone?" he adds as he starts laughing fully. Eve's eyebrow twitches hearing this before she creates a pink marble-sized sphere out of her power and flicks it at Naruto hitting him square in the forehead. "Careful now Red, don't start something you won't be able to handle" Naruto says with a challenging smirk as he idly rubs his forehead where he was hit.

Seeing the challenging if not near predatory look in his eyes causes Eve to gulp slightly before she clears her throat "Anyway why don't you two come by and meet the team after school?" Eve offers to deflect from challenging Naruto.

"Teen Team?" Mark asks with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know I heard they were only the Fourth favorite superhero team and personally a hero of MY calibur shouldn't associate with any team below the top 3" Naruto says with a clearly fake sounding snobby tone getting a snort from Eve and shake of his head from Mark. Said teen was clearly able to tell that his brother was putting up a front to mask the pain he must be feeling from yesterday.

"Okay smartass, tone it down. Anyway you two meet me out front after class" Eve says before walking to the edge of the roof and jumping off, floating down to the grown on her pink energy jets. After reaching the ground she launches herself forward on them and flies away close to the ground.

Looking over at his brother Naruto smirks as he sees Mark transfixed watching her fly away "Sorry bro she is out of your league and so not your type" he says snapping Mark out of his gazing.

"Jerk" Mark retorts with a light glare at his brother.

"Meh I call it like I see it, though I can't blame you for looking she is pretty easy on the eyes, though you know that given how attentively you were watching her ass" Naruto counters with a shrug getting a blush out of Mark at having been called out "Though to be fair I was giving it a gaze as well. Anyway see you after class" he adds before giving Mark a two-fingered salute and flying off into the air.

Mark watches his brother fly away with a slight frown at having been teased. However after a moment his frown fades and is replaced by a sad look "Just how much are you hurting?" He thinks to himself as he can tell all the joking and upbeatness Naruto is displaying is all an act to mask the pain he must be feeling.

(Downtown,Chicago)

Cecil and Robot walked among the battle site from yesterday's alien invasion while a cleanup crew worked to clear the area. As the two walked Cecil scrolled through various news articles about the attack on his phone. A number of them centered around the Teen Team and their response to the attack. Some questioned how the attack happened or who the invaders were and what they wanted. A few mentioned how it was strange that the Guardians of the Globe were completely absent from responding to the attack which made him internally wince. However the majority of the articles were all centered around the new hero Sentinel and how he had almost single handedly seemingly repelled the invaders by himself "Have to admit the kid really came in clutch yesterday despite everything he is going through. Though that rage of his is damn terrifying" the man thought to himself praying that said rage was never directed at himself or the world as a whole.

Turning his attention away from his phone Cecil looked at Robot "You kids did good Robot" he says praising the robot and his team for their actions.

"Thank you Cecil, while it's an honor to assist the Global Defense Agency, your use of the term 'Kids' might be considered condescending. Furthermore it was ultimately Sentinel who did the majority of the work yesterday in repelling the invaders" Robot replies slightly questioning the man's referring to his team as kid and admitting his team didn't actually do that much in the end.

"That is true, Sentinel was the one that tipped the scales in our favor. However yesterday was not a victory, not even close to one" Cecil says, stopping in place and looking at Robot with a stern look "Do you know how many people died yesterday? 338…338 men, women,and children were killed no, butchered here like cattle in a slaughterhouse. 338 people who were fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and so on. 338 families who have now lost someone or in some cases multiple people, and it only stopped there because Sentinel held them off until whoever those assholes were, decided to run away" the man adds in graphic detail of just how bad the attack was yesterday.

"The Flaxans" Robot suddenly states.

"The what?" Cecil asks in confusion wondering just what the robot is referring to.

"They call themselves the Flaxans. I was able to reverse-engineer their language, using recordings from the battle." Robot explains to the man.

"Well that's all well and good but any idea why they decided to up and leave instead of trying to swarm us?" Cecil asks as he had to admit while Sentinel was dominating the fight the tide could have turned very quickly should the Flaxans have decided to try and swarm him with massive amounts of troops. Something they likely had waiting at the ready given how it seemed the portals they came through were likely a direct gateway to their homeworld.

"I have six ideas…" Robot begins to say before the two hear creaking and turn their attention to a crane that is lifting one of the leftover Flaxan tanks onto a flat-bed carrier truck. However the tank was far different looking than it was yesterday as the shiny metal of the tank was now a rusty brown color. As the crane continued to lift the vehicle the sound of metal creaking intensified before the tank fell to pieces and crashed back to the ground "However I believe that narrows it down to one" Robot continues as he walks over to the destroyed vehicle. Reaching down he picks up a piece of the tank and looks at it "Oxidized and corroded aka rusted. For an alloy like this to rust let alone to this level of decomposition it should take years, if not decades" he adds casually crushing the piece of rusted metal to pieces in his hand.

"That means time runs faster wherever they come from…"Cecil begins to say in realization.

"They fled because they were dying of old age," Robot says, interrupting the man rather rudely.

"Yes well, if they come back maybe I will just evacuate the area. And wait until they get cancer or something" Cecil says rather morbidly. Remembering something he turns his head to look at Robot "Sentinel was definitely the savior of the day but how did that new kid Invincible do?" Cecil asks wanting to know what Robot thought of the other son of Omni-man not that said robot knew of the relation.

"He has promise, but he seems unprepared for the more…realistic aspects of super-herodom" Robot states giving an honest opinion of how he thinks Invincible did.

"Well he had better toughen up as were going to need his help given how Sentinel can't do all the work or do it alone" Cecil says with a frown as he starts walking away.

"Why?"Robot asks though all he receives is silence as Cecil suddenly vanishes in a blue flash of light.

(Guardians of the Globe HQ)

Reappearing in another blue flash of light Cecil continues walking as he sees the entire main room where the carnage took place being combed over by numerous agents while Donald stands off to the side "From one giant shitshow to another. Give me some good news Donald" he says walking up next to the man.

"Just like we thought whoever did this cut the power and the backup power supplies. They killed the cameras and the security systems. To make matters worse forensics is totally stumped. I told them to start over and try harder" the man replies given his boss a rundown of situation. While he says this the forensics team continues going over the scene picking up every pit of evidence they find be it clothing scraps, blood, bone fragments, even teeth or brain matter the latter of which in one case is stuck to a pole.

"That's not good news. That's not good news at all! I asked you for some good news Donald!" Cecil says angrily the volume of his voice getting louder with each sentence. The man suddenly notices that he can see his breath "Get the hell out…Everyone" he says to the forensics team.

"C'mon you heard the director people move it!" Donald shouts as the teams hastily exit the room.

Once they are clear a low growling is heard causing Cecil to frown "Come on out, I know you're there" he says causing Donald to pull out his gun and have it ready. However Cecil simpling puts his hand on the barrel and makes him lower the gun.

"Wasn't hiding" a deep gravelly voice is heard saying as a red skinned stereotypical looking demon wearing an old fashioned detective's outfit and hat says as he kneels down next to a large blood splatter. Reaching out with a single finger he touches the puddle and an image of Darkwing's face smashing into the floor thus creating the puddle appears in his mind.

"Sir who the hell…" Donald begins to ask only to be interrupted.

"His name is Damian Darkblood, demon detective" Cecil says, identifying the demon who reaches down and picks up a piece of flesh, this time getting an image of Red Rush's head being crushed.

"Hmm, seven superheroes murdered. Strongest man on the planet almost dead. No suspects. No leads" Damian says in his gravelly voice as he turns to look at the two men.

Donald opens his mouth to say something only for Cecil to cut him off "I don't know how he does it, demon magic or something" he says already having an idea of what Donald was about to ask. Cecil then crosses his arms over his chest as he gives Damian a hard look "If you're asking if we need your help…" he begins to say.

"Wasn't asking" Damian says, interrupting Cecil as he reappears by and touches the shattered green jewel that used to belong to Green Ghost and was the source of her powers. Much like before when he touches the remains of the jewel he gets a flash of her grisly death to appear in his mind.

"Fine, knock yourself out. Help us solve the case, oh Great-horned Holmes" Cecil says somewhat mockingly to the demon.

"Um sir, are you sure that is a good idea?" Donald asks tentatively as he thinks having a demon of all things help them was a good idea.

"What? You got a problem with the demon? I thought you were an Atheist Donald." Cecil states as he leaves the room.

Hearing this Damian gives Donald a side-long glance causing the man to gulp "T-Theoretically" he stammers out causing the demon to growl lowly.

(Reginald Vel Johnson High School)

Mark put a few of his textbooks in his locker for the day seeing how classes were over . However as he goes to close his locker door he hears a feminine voice say "Hey i heard you took a few hits on the chin for me?" and turns to see Amber standing behind him.

"Oh hey Amber, uh yeah I guess, but don't worry. I have this amazing new strategy for dealing with Todd when Naruto isn't around. See I let him hit me until he gets bored and just goes home" Mark says jokingly with a grin.

"Hmm nice, I didn't know you were into that S and M stuff or that your were a Masochist" Amber says with a coy grin and giggle as Mark's eyes widen and he blushes.

"No I mean…Ugh I should really think more before I speak" the teen says trying to defend himself from the misconception before sighing in defeat "Foot meet mouth yet again" he adds banging his head on his locker.

Seeing this Amber just giggles again "Calm down there big guy I don't think Todd's fists will like your face cheating on them with your locker door" she teases again causing his shoulders to slump even more.

After a moment Mark perks up a bit and shrugs "Well what can I do people always told me I was too pretty so maybe his fists getting angry at my face cheating on them with my locker will do me a favor" he says with a laugh getting another giggle from the girl "Anyway I gotta run catch ya later?" he asks before running off towards the entrance to the school with Amber walking after him.

Exiting the school Mark sees Naruto and Eve waiting for him "About time you got here" Naruto says with a shake of his head at his brother's tardiness.

"Sorry sorry" Mark says apologetically while sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.

"You guys ready?" Eve asks, getting grins from them before the trio walk off to find a secluded place to change into their costumes and fly away. As they walk off Amber happens to see Mark leaving with Naruto and Eve and raises an eyebrow at the sight. Not so much him leaving with Naruto given they are brothers but the fact that Eve Wilkins of all people was there as well given how last she heard the popular girl hadn't even talked to either brother before.

(Few Minutes Later, Skies above Chicago)

The three teenage superheroes flew through the air now in their costumes with Eve a little ahead of the brothers "Try to keep up" Eve says looking back with a challenging grin as she rockets forward gaining some distance on the two as the trio near the city. The brothers increase their speed and soon catch up to the girl as the three enter the outskirts of the city.

Eve dives down towards the roof of a skyscraper shaped like an arch and flies under the arch while the brothers fly over it. As she soars back up towards the sky the girl stops using her powers and floats in the air for a moment doing a twirl before beginning to freefall back towards the ground. Nearing the ground Eve quickly flicks her arm forward unleashing an arc of her power which sails forward and creates a curved slide which she slides down and then up rocketing back into the sky with her pink jets flaring again.

"Heh not bad!" Sentinel yells out with a grin "But watch this!" he adds before zooming forward with a sonic boom. As he approaches a skyscraper at high speed he makes no attempt to deviate his flight path. With just mere seconds from crashing into the building the hero flips around so that his feet are facing the building and proceeds to moon-walk up the side of the building without his feet actually touching it. Reaching the top of the skyscraper, he does a backflip in the air and disappears over the other side of the building.

"Oh god that was hilarious!" Eve yells out with a laugh while Mark just shakes his head at his brother's antics with a grin on his face. Not wanting to be outdone, Eve rockets forward and vanishes around the side of the building.

Not wanting to be left behind, Invincible increases his own speed and flies around the building only to not see Eve or Sentinel anywhere. Raising an eyebrow at this he continues to fly around "Eve, Sentinel?" he calls out looking side to side in the cluster of skyscrapers for the two. However as a result of this he isn't watching where he is flying and just as he turns back to look in front of him his eyes widen in alarm "Oh shit!" he yells out seconds before he crashes through a big billboard advertising the BM Burger restaurant he used to work at before skidding across the rooftop of another building before coming to a stop at the edge.

"Geez bro I know you hated working at that place but seems kinda petty to trash their billboard like that…especially when you already told your boss to basically fuck off when you quit" Sentinel says teasingly as he floats down to the roof with a wide grin on his face.

Landing next to him Eve has an almost matching grin on her face as she crosses her arms under her bust "Let's try this again shall we?" the girl says before flying off with Sentinel and Invincible following after. The pink themed superheroine leads the two boys through the rest of the city towards the river, namely the large suspension bridge that crosses it. Flying over to one of the towers of the bridge Eve touches down on the top of it with Sentinel and Invincible landing right after her.

Sentinel looks around and raises an eyebrow "Huh nice view and nice bridge but is this it?" he asks with a raised eyebrow to which Eve just smirks. All of a sudden the tower shakes slightly as a large circular shaped door opens up beneath the three and they float down into the tower. Looking around at the interior of the tower which has been converted into a secret base Sentinel whistles "Hidden base inside a bridge tower…not bad" he says getting a grin from Eve.

As Eve leads them further into the base Mark grins as he looks around "Cool" he says right before the three stop in front of Rex Splode who is playing 3 Dupli-kates in ping pong while Robot stands a bit off to the side looking at a couple of computer screens.

"Hey babe!" Rex says walking over and giving Eve a quick kiss on the lips before noticing the other two behind her "Oh hey it's the iceman and rager" he says with a wide grin.

"Rex…" Eve says warningly, pushing him back slightly knowing how he can be.

"Gotta say couldn't have won that fight yesterday without the two of you" Rex says with a hint of mockery in his tone.

"Huh funny as the way I remember it, is that I was pretty much the one that made those aliens retreat while you stood off to the side doing nothing…" Sentinel responds back with a smug smirk already knowing just what kind of personality this Rex guy had. His assumption was reinforced by how the hispanic teen's smug smirk shifted into an angry scowl.

"I seem to recall none of us winning as they got old…" one of the Dupli-kates said "And ran away" another finished "Though to be fair Sentinel did do most of the work yesterday" the third chimed in with a smirk.

"Sentinel, Invincible welcome to our base. My name is Robot, and apologies for Rex Spolode, he's…" Robot says introducing himself before trailing off as he tries to think of a good way to describe the hispanic teen.

"Unbelievably Awesome" Rex interjects with a wide grin on his face.

"Incorrigible" Robot states causing the teen to raise an eyebrow.

"And rude" Eve adds with a shake of her head and frown on her face.

"And bored of this" Rex says with a dismissive wave.

The three Dupli-kates walk over to the two new heroes with smiles on their faces "I'm Dupli-kate" the three say simultaneously as they introduce themselves.

"Um hi I'm Invincible…Uh which one of you do I look at when we talk?" Invincible says introducing himself before looking unsurely between the three. However a moment later his head jerks forward a bit courtesy of a slap to the back of his head by Sentinel.

"I apologize for the rudeness of my brother. We have been trying to instill manners into him for the last 17 years but it is a uphill battle our family is currently losing" Sentinel says with a slight teasing tone towards his brother "Unfortunately one of the areas of manners we have to address with him is how it is impolite to ask somebody with cloning powers such a question or which one is the real one" he adds with an apologetic look towards the three girls.

"Meh its cool, though major props for knowing all the touchy areas when it comes to 'cloners' there buddy" the three Dupli-kates say together giving Sentinel a simultaneous wink.

Seeing the borderline flirty action of her female teammate causes Eve's eyebrow to twitch in annoyance so she decides to change the subject "Hey Robot find anything at the site of the battle?" she asks the robot.

"The Flaxans come from a dimension that has a faster temporal rate. This results in the tachyons they emit spinning much faster than our own. Thus I have created a detector to warn us should they return" Robot states walking over to the others and gesturing to a screen on the wall that shows various charts and gauges.

"Um in English please?" Rex says in an annoyed tone having understood basically nothing that was said.

"Bad guys emit energy, Robot tracks energy, When alarm goes off Bad Guys back…got it?" Sentinel asks with a slight smirk on his face getting a snicker from Invincible, a quiet giggle from Eve, and a laugh from the Dupli-kates causing Rex to fume in anger.

"Oh yeah a detector is a great idea as we almost missed all the explosions and screaming of people getting blown apart or shot to pieces, oh and lets not forget all the chaos" Rex says sarcastically as he tries to save face.

"The detector should give us a few minutes of early warning. Cecil and the GDA have also requested to call on us for any possible emergencies…Since the Guardians are apparently indisposed" Robot says explaining the importance of the device and how the team is now working alongside the GDA. However what everyone misses during the explanation is how Sentinels right fist clenched tightly at the mention of the Guardians. "Sentinel, Invincible may we count on assistance from the two of you in the future?" Robot asks, finishing up what he was going to say.

"Are you sure you want my help?" Invincible asks getting silence as a result before he perks up slightly "Yeah I mean ofcourse, just text me I guess? Oh that's right you need my number first" he adds which causes Sentinel to just sigh and rub his temples to ward off a potential headache from his brother's rambling.

(GDA Headquarters, Omni-man's hospital room)

After spending roughly an hour hanging out with the Teen Team before saying their goodbyes and flying out of the base. The brothers decided to head back to the GDA's base and check on their father. As Naruto leaned against the doorframe to the room Mark kneeled next to their fathers bed and put a damp cold rag on his forehead "I know you don't like teams much Teen Team were pretty cool…Except for Rex Splode, I have no idea what that guy's problem is" Mark says as he does so.

"He appears to have a terminal case of Assholeitis" Naruto says with a smirk and a snicker "Or he is really insecure and trying to overcompensate for his own shortcomings whatever they may be. Really makes you wonder how he and Eve get along since it's clear they are dating" he adds with a shrug.

"Who's Eve?" Debbie asks as she walks into the room past Naruto and sets her pocket book down on the table next to Nolan's bed.

"Um no one, just a friend" Mark says with a slight panic causing Naruto to sigh and facepalm.

Debbie merely raises an eyebrow at this with a slight smirk on her face "Did you two find the dinners in the freezer?" she asks as she likely wouldn't be around the house much until Nolan was better.

"Yeah though just a warning mom, pretty sure I am going to end up hating casseroles after this…so many casseroles" Naruto says with a slight shudder as the freezer was packed full of said dish.

"Thanks mom" Mark says quietly, ignoring his brother's comment.

Seeing the saddened look on Mark's face coupled with his tone causes the woman to realize just what she has been doing lately "Oh boys I am so sorry. I have been so focused on your father that I have been neglecting the both of you, are you both okay?" she asks with a concerned look on her face.

"Doing good" Naruto says casually with a shrug of his shoulders that causes Debbie to wince at the sight as she is able to tell he is just putting up a front. Seeing this she silently promises herself to have a long talk with Naruto when things calm.

"Yeah just been thinking about what being a superhero means after yesterday and everything. Dad didn't talk about this part of being a superhero so this is all a lot harder than I thought it would be" Mark says as he looks at the sleeping form of his father.

"Your father is good at a lot of things, but talking about his feeling's isn't one of them…" Debbie says with a soft smile as she looks at her husband before hearing a snort and turning to look at Naruto who just shrugs as it was true "However that just means that we can talk. Remember Mark your brother and I are always here to talk if you need it, and that goes for you as well Naruto" she says giving the teen a look causing him to sigh as he has a hunch what she is referring to.

After spending some time with their mother as she goes about looking after Nolan, Mark and Naruto decide to head home. As they walk down the hall Mark see's a room with an open door showing that lying in the bed in the room being monitored by a doctor was the elderly woman he brought in causing him to stop in place. Seeing this Naruto raises an eyebrow and looks into the room seeing the elderly woman "Go check on her I will meet you at home" he says patting his brother on the shoulder before resuming his walk down the hall before heading home.

(Next Day, Teen Team Base)

A shirtless Rex walks out into the main area of the base drinking from a carton of milk after exercising when he notices the sensor machine Robot set up to detect the arrival of the Flaxans start beeping rapidly "Hey is this supposed to be doing this?" he yells back into the other room.

(Reginald Vel Johnson High School)

Mark was sitting with William at a table in the cafeteria eating lunch with the latter grilling the former over his sudden change up in life "Ugh for the last time we're just friends" Mark says with a groan having repeated the phrase no less than ten times during their conversation.

"Will you stop saying that? It's like you're trying to jinx any chance you have of dating Eve" William says with a pointed look as he waves his fork around before pointing it at Mark.

"A day ago you said I had no chance! Not to mention while she is hot, she isn't my type" Mark counters throwing his hands up in the air.

"First of all, that was before everyone saw you and Naruto leaving school with her yesterday. Secondly, Mark take it from me. Hell I used to be all for that hot Latin Adonis look, while nowadays that look repulses me and instead it's that sexy blonde hair blue eyes that revs my engine" William says with a grin and lick of his lips.

"Uh come on dude not the lip lick thing with the sexy look you know how that freaks me out" Mark says with a grimace and shiver as he felt uncomfortable whenever William directed that look at him "Wait everyone saw us leave together?" he asks getting a nod from William "Whatever it doesn't matter dude she has a boyfriend anyway" Mark adds pointing out one of a number of flaws with the whole idea of him potentially dating Eve.

"So?" William says with a raised eyebrow causing Mark to just stare at him in disbelief "You can be more awesome than him and take his place. That's how dating works!" the teen says excitedly.

"Fucking hell William don't tell me you have gotten into that Yaoi NTR Hentai shit now have you? Why the hell Naruto thought it would be a good idea to introduce you to Hentai in the first place I will never know" Mark says with a deep sigh of disbelief and silently curses his brother for introducing the genre to their friend. What Mark was unaware of was that his brother had introduced their friend to hentai more specifically to Yaoi just so that William could mess with Mark as a result.

"Hey don't be knocking the art that is Yaoi! Besides the only people who think its gross are homophobes, straight people, and people who are secretly in the closet like your average republican politician" William says in defense of his interest.

"...You have been trolling message boards again haven't you?" Mark asks with a deadpan stare.

"I will neither confirm nor deny that. Regardless why are you so against the idea of dating Eve? Are you intimidated by her and if so why? Well other than how she's amazing and your kind of well…a basic bitch in comparison" William says with a shrug of his shoulders causing Mark's eye to twitch in annoyance.

"Okay first of all ouch.." Mark says trailing off as he sees Eve sitting at a nearby table. The girl looks up from her phone with a serious look and sees Mark before subtly nudging her head to the side indicating they need to go. "I gotta go catch ya later" Mark says before getting up and heading towards the exit of the cafeteria.

"Go? Go where? You know what, I don't care it's probably somewhere you'll be alone forever" William says in a huff before he resumes eating his lunch.

"Is Mark dating Eve Wilkins?" a female voice asks, causing him to look up and see that Amber has sat down in the seat Mark once occupied.

"I wish" William says with a scoff before gulping when he sees the annoyed look on the girl's face "I mean no, definitely not. She's not only got a boyfriend but she totally isn't his type, more Naruto's type if I am to be honest. Mark is super available, want his number?" William rambles on rapidly with a gulp seeing the look in the girl's eyes as he quickly pulls out a pen and paper to write down said number.

As Mark and Eve exit the cafeteria they nearly run into Naruto as he was just about to enter. Said teen had an unopened egg salad sandwich in his hand but upon seeing the two leaving together sighs "Fucking hell, I fly all the way to Japan to get a authentic Japanese Egg Salad sandwich which is hands down the best egg salad sandwich in the whole damn world and can't even sit down to eat it due to some jackass or jackasses clearly starting shit that requires us to intervene!" Naruto rants in annoyance causing the other two to sweatdrop over his tirade all over a sandwich. Naruto then lets out a deep sigh "C'mon let's get suited up and get this done I guess…bastards better surrender or tap out before my sandwich gets soggy or so help me one of their heads is going up the ass of another if there is multiple people causing trouble" he grumbles out muttering the last part to himself as the three slip away and change into their costumes.

(Downtown Chicago)

The three heroes fly through the air as they head towards the city before diverting to a rooftop upon seeing Rex and the rest of Teen Team standing atop it. As the three land Rex eyes Eve arriving with Sentinel and Invincible with a raised eyebrow and scowl on his face "Uh just where the hell are you guys coming from?" he asks in a tone drenched in suspicion and suppressed anger.

"Um we go to the same high-school, Rex" Eve says with a slight roll of her eyes finding the borderline interrogation childish.

"Oh you do, do you?" Rex asks with a sneer on his face and his arms crossed over his chest clearly not believing her response.

"Yeah we spend like eight hours together hanging out and stuff while attending classes and dealing with the social anarchy that is a building packed full of teenage hormones" Sentinel quips with a smug smirk on his face as he taunts Rex.

"Well that must be nice. You know who never got to attend High School?" Rex replies sarcastically with the same sneer on his face.

"Um you?" Invincible responds with a raised eyebrow getting a slight snicker from Sentinel.

"That's right" Rex says with a huff but not explaining just why he wasn't able to attend high-school.

"Yeah we know, it shows" Eve snaps out with a glare at her boyfriend as she is getting really annoyed by his bullshit lately.

"While this conversation is a fascinating look into teenage hormones I would appreciate everyone's attention on the matter at hand" Robot says from the edge of the roof as he and Dupli-kate look at the streets below.

Running over to join the two Rex, Invincible, Sentinel, and Eve look down to see the Flaxans pouring out of a large portal by the dozens accompanied by tanks looking even more high-tech than last time.

"Guess who's back" Dupli-kate says grimly as the carnage below has already started with civilians running in terror and several columns of smoke starting to rise into the air from burning wrecks of what were once cars.

Walking out of the portal this time wearing a large red cape was the scarred Flaxan from the previous invasion. He takes a look around surveying the chaos before snarling out some orders as his troops begin opening fire on the civilians as they try to flee.

Seeing this Rex turns to Robot with a scowl "They're not getting old Robot. Why aren't they getting old?!" he yells out raising his arms into the air.

"It appears that they have discovered a way to resist the effects of our time stream" Robot states factually as he observes the carnage.

"How the hell could they have done that in 3 DAYS!" Rex nearly screams in disbelief at the possibility.

"What has been mere days for us, has been decades for them" Robot says as teams flying bike appears in front of them.

"Who cares I bet their bones still break all the same" Dupli-kate states with a scoff and cocky smirk on her face as she and Rex hop on bike with Robot and they fly down towards the chaos.

"Yeah but so do ours!" Rex shouts out in regards to the asian girl's response as they head down.

Eve takes a moment to look over at Invincible "You ready for this?" she asks the teen in blue and yellow.

After a moment of silence Invincible takes a calming breath to steel his nerves "Yeah I think so" he responds with a nod.

"Mark all you need to do is focus. Don't let your mind drift to what COULD happen and focus on the NOW. You are not alone in this fight and we will all have each other's backs. Lastly and most importantly…don't hold back" Sentinel says trying to support and encourage his brother as he gives him a pat on the shoulder before the three heroes flow down towards the streets below.

The Flaxan General sees the approaching group of heroes and quickly orders his troops to direct their fire at them, sending a barrage of laser fire at the heroes. As the group of heroes begin dodging the incoming fire Rex and Dupli-kate jump off of the flying bike and start running towards the aliens while the others continue flying.

However as they run they are suddenly sent flying through the air as a result of one of the alien tanks firing a large red laser blast that impacts the ground and explodes not far behind them. Seeing this the General wastes no time and immediately gives an order before two Flaxan troops carry a large box out and set it on the ground. The box unfolds to reveal a large laser rifle that begins emitting a continuous laser beam directed at Dupli-kate. The asian girl begins to rapidly make clones of herself as she flips away to escape the beam which slices through each of the clones in a bloody and gory sight sending the bodies falling to the ground in multiple pieces as their blood and guts spill out.

Seeing his teammate in trouble Rex rushes forward and throws several charged marbles at the gun destroying it, though ultimately it was pointless given how the Flaxans simply began to deploy several more of them. Rex begins throwing more explosive marbles to destroy the deploying guns only for two Flaxans to rush forward and fire off a pulse of energy from their guns that freezes the marbles in midair for a moment.

Rex seeing this stops for a moment and raises an eyebrow in confusion before the marbles start flying back towards him causing his eyes to widen in shock "HEY! Don't do that!" he screams out as he runs away to avoid the explosives before getting sent flying through the air when they hit the ground behind him and explode.

Above him Robot flies by on the team's flying motorcycle-type of craft as two panels open up on his back to reveal a series of miniature missiles which fire up into the air. The missiles arc downwards towards the ground and explode as they crash into the ground taking out several Flaxan troops.

Seeing this the General grits his teeth and barks out an order before a tank rolls up and fires a cube shaped projectile from its main gun. As the cube sails through the air it splits apart into multiple pieces before magnetizing to Robot and emitting a strong electrical shock that causes the robot to twitch and spasm. Robot loses his balance and falls off of the flying transport which proceeds to crash into the ground and explode taking out several Flaxans.

The rest of the Flaxans continue to advance further from the portals gunning down any and every fleeing civilian they can. Seeing several people ripped apart by laser bolts Eve flies over and lands between the civilians and the Flaxans as she creates two large pink energy squares as shields. "RUN!" the teenage girl says as she looks over her shoulder while the Flaxans in front of her begin converging all their fire on her shields ultimately shattering one. Eve lets out a yell of exertion before she collapses her remaining shield and transfers its energy into a large arcing wave of energy that slams into the advancing troops knocking them down or back and destroying several tanks that had started to roll up to her position.

Eve was panting heavily from the exertion of her attack as she kept her gaze focused on the large cloud of smoke it created when she notices four floating spheres heading her way. Letting out a yell she channels her power into her fists and creates two large energy blades around her hands and begins slicing apart the spheres as they fly at her. As she slices apart the last sphere it explodes right in front of her thus hiding the sphere that was flying behind it from the girls vision. Eve's eyes widen in alarm as the shere opens up and latches around her head practically cutting off her ability to breath and causing her to fall to the ground.

"Eve!" Sentinel yells seeing this as he rockets towards her only to be sent crashing into the side of a building from multiple laser blasts from several tanks. Not giving the hero a chance to recover the tanks fire again barging the entire building down on the teen in a massive pile of debris and dust.

"SENTINEL!" Invincible yells seeing this before he slams down into the ground amidst several Flaxans sending them flying only to be nearly forced to his knees by several tanks emitting continuous laser beams at him. Seeing this the General lets out an evil laugh before signaling two of his soldiers. The two Flaxans run up and aim their rifles at the immobile teen before they fire a thick liquid from them that sends Invincible flying back into the side of one of the tanks. The hero tries to get to his feet only to find himself stuck in place by the thick sticky goo.

The Flaxan General walks over to the immobile teen cackling as he does so Invincible looks around at the others. Dupli-kate has to create several clones to avoid being cut to shreds by laser fire before she and Rex are sent flying back by another explosion again.

Off to the side Root is on his hands and knees frozen from the electricity running through his body "They seem…" he begins to say only for a Flaxan to smack him upside the head with his rifle "to have spent their time wisely" he finish now prone on the ground.

Off to the side Eve struggles to pull the sphere off her face as it als emits electricity shocking her. Invincible then looks to the massive pile of debris from the collapsed building under which his brother lays before he begins to shake in rage. Seeing this the General sneers and pulls out a laser pistol before pressing it to Invincibles temple. Time seems to slow down for Invincible as he can see out of the corner of his eye the trigger of the gun slowly being pulled back and he knows he is going to die and so is everyone else.

However suddenly the large pile of debris that Sentinel was buried under explodes and from the cloud of dust it creates Sentinel steps out looking a little worse for wear. He had several cuts littering his body that were noticeably bleeding, and his red coat was torn quite a bit. The teen takes a quick look at the situation before letting out a roar as she flies forward firing off several ki blasts that vaporize a number of Flaxans.

Seeing the charging hero the Flaxan General bellows out an order before the six tanks he has left at his disposal all fire at the teen. The shots slam into Sentinel at the same time creating a large explosion of energy and flames sending the hero crashing to the ground. Not wasting a second the General gives another order to his troops as no fewer than thirty Flaxans soldiers charge the downed hero as he was getting back to his feet. Upon reaching Sentinel they proceed to punch, kick, claw, try to stab with their knives, and fire their pistols into the hero at point blank range not giving him a chance to get back up. Sentinel tries to push them back by firing off a few small ki blasts but for every one he hits two more takes its place as more and more troops converge on him.

Eve manages to pull the sphere off her face just a little bit to where she can see past it and her eyes widen at seeing Sentinel being brutally beaten down "Sentinel!" she yells out before the sphere overpowers her again and latches onto her face.

Hearing the desperation in the girl's voice Sentinel looks up and for a brief moment her form is replaced with that of War Woman to him. He watches her struggle desperately trying to pry the sphere off her face. Sentinel's mind starts working a mile a minute as he flashes through various scenarios of her death and wonders if War Woman cried out in desperation moments before she was killed. Imagining his lover crying out his name in desperation to help her only for it to be in vain causes something to snap for a moment in the teen. His body trembles as his muscles tense, while his fists shake in rage. Suddenly he lets out a roar of anger and a massive burst of energy emits from his body, incinerating the Flaxans directly on him and pushing the others back several feet.

The Flaxan General looks on in shock as the hero gets to his feet a large flaming aura surrounding his beaten form. Sentinel's outfit was heavily damaged with numerous cuts, and holes, his red coat was in tatters. Several Flaxan troops made a desperate dive at the hero trying to pin him to the ground only to be incinerated by the aura that raged around him. For just a moment the General thought he saw the eyes of the monster in front of him change to a teal color before returning to their normal blue.

Suddenly Sentinel rocketed forward directly at the General and collided with him sending them both crashing into the side of a building. The General groaned from the impact before gasping as Sentinel tore away his chest armor and began brutally beating his face over and over again with punches sending blood flying with each hit. Faster and faster the hero punched until his fists were a blur before he suddenly stopped. The general's face was a bloody mess as he looked up at the hero through his one good eye.

Sentinel snarled as he formed a small ki ball in his left hand and brought it to the left side of the General's head "Suffer and burn!" Sentinel growled as he slowly began pressing the ball of energy to the side of the alien's head causing it to burn and sear the flesh. The Flaxan let out an ungodly howl of pain as the side of his head was slowly being cooked and charred from the attack. Closer and closer Sentinel brought the sphere cooking more and more of the alien's head until the entire right side of it was a mess of charred flesh.

The hero was just about to slam the ki ball through the aliens head ending it's life "Sentinel! Help Eve!" Robot yelled out, snapping the teen out of his rage.

Looking over to where the girl lay on the ground frantically trying to pull the sphere off Sentinel's eyes widened as he saw her efforts growing more and more feeble. Dahsing over to the girl he grabbed the sphere and ripped it off her face causing her to gasp for air and take several deep breaths "You okay?" he asks softly.

"Yeah I am now, thanks for the save" Eve says as she slowly gets to her feet with his help as Dupli-kate and Rex run over. Sentinel then flies over to Invincible and uses a small burst of ki energy to cook the goo keeping him stuck causing it to solidify. With the goo now hardened, Invincible is able to easily break free from its hold and gets on his feet.

Back with the Flaxan General he manages to pull himself up to his feet though not daring to touch the side of his head given the pain that is shooting through his body from it. Seeing a sparking coming from a wristband on his left wrist the General's eyes widen in horror as the bracelet shatters and he begins to start aging rapidly.

Robot happens to be looking at the General when this happens and his sensors quickly run a scan of the Flaxan "The wristbands appear to protect them from out timestream" he says as Rex destroys the small electrical patches that are shocking the robot. With the patches gone Robot is able to get to his feet "Destroy the wristbands" he says before the heroes charge at the Flaxans who have regrouped and were also charging at them.

Rex throws several explosive marbles that destroy the wristbands of several Flaxans. Off to the side Dupli-kate flips through the air creating several clones as they all come down and land on several Flaxans crushing their wristbands underfoot. Eve lets out a yell as she fires off a number of small energy darts with an impressive display of accuracy as they all hit the wristbands of various Flaxans. Invincible flies into a group of Flaxans and starts crushing the wrists of every one he can get a hold of thus destroying the wristbands as well. Sentinel meanwhile chooses a more thorough approach to destroying the wristbands and starts rapid firing ki blasts at the Flaxans which destroy the wristbands…and the soldiers wearing them in an explosion of fire and bloody body parts.

Off to the side away from the main fighting Robot kneels down to a dead Flaxan and scans it's intact wristband "49,000 kilohertz" he says before a screwdriver head comes out of one his fingers and into a slot on his neck just as a pair of Flaxans tackle him to the ground "Keep them off meeeeeeeeeee" he says with his voice getting more high pitched as it creates a sonic wave shorting out all the remaining wristbands that the Flaxans were wearing.

As the Flaxans started to rapidly age they made a hasty retreat back towards the portal they came through. Once more the General was the last to enter the portal but before he did so he turned and gave the heroes a scowl primarily directing it at Sentinel and Invincible as he said something which was clearly a swear in his own language while walking backwards through the portal and it closed moments later.

"Right back at ya asshole!" Rex yelled flipping off seemingly no one as the portal was already closed. The hispanic teen then turned to look at Sentinel with a skeptical look "Way to go all psycho again Sentinel" he remarks with a scowl "I take back almost everything I said about you before and I said a lot…like really A LOT" he adds with a very small smirk on his face.

"Thanks..I think" Sentinel says with a raised eyebrow not sure if Rex was giving him a compliment or not.

"Don't get me wrong, that was amazing, but also the scariest thing I have ever seen and I once saw a morbidly obese trans woman in a thong chasing after a midget covered in chocolate while yelling 'Get in my belly!'...ugh still not able to eat chocolate" Rex says with a shiver while getting 'WTF' looks from everyone else at the mental imagery his statement just conjured "That being said though don't ever point that anger at me thanks" the hispanic teen adds with a shrug.

"Ugh don't listen to Rex, you did great, in fact if it wasn't for you I likely wouldn't be standing here" Eve says with a glare directed at Rex causing the teen to hold his hands up in surrender.

"That's what I said Eve" Rex says with a groan as he shrugs his shoulders before wincing "Ah damn my back…Can I get a massage? Anybody, just a little rub…Not you though Robot not after last time" he adds with a pained grimace on his face clearly having injured his back in the fight.

Suddenly Invincible and Sentinel's cellphones ring and after they answer them their eyes widen "We gotta go" Invincible says hanging up his phone.

"Everything okay?" Eve asks with a raised eyebrow at seeing their faces…or more like Sentinel's face gains a shocked look after receiving the call.

"Yeah something came up…catch you at school tomorrow" Sentinel says before he and Invincible fly away leaving a stunned Teen Team.

"Oh sure, fly away, that's fine. We will handle the clean up all by ourselves no problem…" Rex says sarcastically before raising his fist into the air and shaking it at the forms of the two heroes as they fly away and yelling "ASSHOLES!" causing Eve and Dupli-kate to just sigh tiredly at his immaturity and Robot to facepalm.

(GDA Headquarters Hospital Wing)

A nurse was pushing a cart of medical supplies down the hall when suddenly Invinicble flies pat at high speed knocking her down and the cart over. As the woman regains her bearings and gets to her feet she hears a sigh "Sorry about that do you need a hand?" Sentinel asks, standing behind her.

"Um no thank you it's alright" The nurse says trying not to blush from his handsome features and combined with his muscles peeking out from the tears in his suit.

"Alright then I will be off and sorry again for him" Sentinel says walking down the hall and standing outside the door to his fathers room before looking in to see Mark hugging their father who had regained consciousness and was sitting up in his bed.

"Ow! Ribs…" Nolan says in a pained tone from how Mark's hug was hurting his injured ribs.

"Careful Mark, your going to put him in a coma again" Debbie says with a laugh as Mark releases his hug.

"About time you woke up pops, though given how you looked like hammered shit when we first saw you, you seem to be okay now" Naruto comments with a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"Well I am okay now" Nolan says with a small smile though he is unable to meet the gaze of his eldest son due to what he heard when he killed War Woman and the possible implications of it.

"No you're not, at least not fully. But you are well enough to come home" Debbie interjects placing her hand on that of her husband's with a happy smile.

"Mom says the two of you have been keeping the planet safe for me while I was down" Nolan says with a proud smile on his face.

"She's exaggerating" Mark says bashfully due to the praise he was getting from his dad for his heroics.

"Yeah we helped repel an extra-dimensional army of invaders alongside Teen Team twice now but other than that it's been pretty quiet since you were taken out of commission" Naruto says with a shrug of his shoulders as if it wasn't a big deal.

"An extra-dimensional army sounds exciting, tell me everything" Nolan says with a laugh and grin on his face.

"Sure will do so when you get home, but for now I am going to head out and do some patrolling" Naruto says with a lazy wave of his hand before exiting the room causing Nolan to raise an eyebrow in confusion and Debbie to sigh.

"Is something wrong?" Nolan asks curious as to his son's almost non-caring attitude.

"Naruto has been going through…a lot, since you were injured. When we found out about your condition we also were told about the death of the Guardians. That particular bit of news was very hard for him as apparently the Holly he had been dating was in fact War Woman and they had been seeing each other for nearly two years in secret so hearing she had been killed was especially hard…especially with the other bit of news that we were told" Debbie explains causing Nolan's eyes to widen in surprise that Naruto had kept his relationship secret for so long.

"What other news?" Nolan asked with a look of confusion on his face.

"Holly was…pregnant. She apparently wasn't far along and hadn't told Naruto yet but the blow of finding out he lost a child on top of the woman he loved at the same time was a lot for him to handle" Debbie reveals with a sorrowful look that causes Nolan's eyes to widen in shock at hearing this.

"My god" Nolan says in disbelief a look of horror on his face as he just stares at the door Naruto had left through with a million thoughts racing through his mind and the implications of what he had just been told. The man knew one thing though nothing would ever be the same and he was slightly fearful at what the future would bring.

(30 mInutes Later)

Mark had decided to give his parents a bit of space and was currently walking down the hall of the hospital ward to go check on Maya, the elderly woman he saved in the first Flaxan invasion. As he walked to the door of her room his eyes widened as he saw it empty. Turning around the teen walked over to the nurses station "Excuse me what hospital did they move Maya to?" he asked politely. The nurse looked up from her computer, her eyes widening before her expression became somber. Seeing the nurse's expression Mark felt a tightness in his chest and he gained a shocked look "No they said she'd recover" he stammered out as Nolan and Debbie walked up.

"It's part of the job son, sometimes you just can't save everyone. Now c'mon let's go home, I'm dying for some real food" Nolan says casually and without any tact as if the woman's life didn't mean anything causing Mark to walk away angrily. Nolan watched him go for a moment before walking over to the nurse "I need my costume back. I don't care how torn up it is. It's classified and I want it back, so go get it, now" he states in a serious tone to the woman before she goes to do just that. As this goes on Debbie just watches the interaction with a raised eyebrow a little shocked by her husband's attitude.

(5 days later, Grayson Household)

"Where are the Guardians of the Globe? There has been no sign of the iconic heroes for over a week despite the repeated attacks by the alien army now known as the Flaxans leaving the local champions such as Teen Team along with newcomers Invincible and Sentinel to pick up the slack. This is especially evident in Sentinel's case as in addition to having been instrumental in repelling the Flaxans during both incursions, the hero has also been seen numerous times around Chicago stopping everything from simple thefts, to full on terrorist attacks such as the string of serial bombings at highly crowded places such as shopping malls. In fact it was Sentinel with the aid of Atom Eve of Teen Team who figured out the mastermind behind the bombings was former Reginald Vel Johnson Highschool Teacher David Hiles who after the death of his son via suicide as a result of the bully the teen faced at school had a mental breakdown and began abducting the students who tormented his son and turned them into living bombs…" A blonde newswoman said on the tv before Naruto scoffed and turned it off.

Getting up from the couch he just shook his head a the whole thing "Times like this I really hate how fucked up being a teenager is" he said to himself with a scoff as like the woman said the whole reason the bombings happened in the first place was because some assholes thought it would be a good idea to torment a kid to the point he snapped and killed himself. Thus setting off a chain of events that lead to roughly 200 more people dying and almost double that being injured as a result of the 3 bombings that happened prior to Naruto and Eve tracking down the bomber. Even that led to another life lost as the man had known he would be found so he turned himself into a living bomb as well resulting in Naruto having to fly him high into the air and toss him out to space where he exploded. All in all it was just a senseless waste of life brought about by the stupidity of several dumbass teenagers.

"Anything interesting on tv?" Debbie asks, walking into the living room.

"Nope, same old stupid reality shows, bad reboots of old shows, and destruction of fan favorite shows all in the name of 'Inclusiveness'" Naruto says with a shrug as he was really starting to get tired of the downward spiral television shows seemed to be heading in.

"Sheesh that bad huh? Well so long as they don't touch my Shade's Anatomy I don't mind" Debbie said with a chuckle.

"So I probably shouldn't tell you how I heard they planned on killing Dr. Shade and replacing him with a transgender bisexual person of color that isn't actually a doctor and instead a secretary prior to this, and only gets Dr. Shade's old job as a result of a outcry from protestors who want a person of color running the hospital no matter their experience?" Naruto comments with a wry grin and raised eyebrow.

"...You had better be joking young man or you're grounded" Debbie says in a deathly tone that sends a shiver down the teen's spine "Anyway where is your father and brother?" she adds her tone and demeanor changing in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this Naruto just sweatdrops "Okay so either Mom is starting to go through PMS or she is starting her period…either option is bad for all of us" he thinks to himself in horror "They are outback training…and from the sound of it Mark just managed to land a hit on dad bit surprising that" the teen says with a shrug finding it pretty amazing Mark managed to land a solid hit on their father so soon in his training.

"Their what!" Debbie yells before storming out towards the backyard just as Cecil appears in the living room via teleportation.

"...Should I be alarmed about how you just teleported into our living room with no prior heads up Cecil? I mean it's kinda rude" Naruto says with a raised eyebrow at the man.

"Huh apparently there was a slight glitch in the target location. The aiming matrix will have to make a note of that and have it fixed as I was supposed to appear at your front door. Anyway, is your dad around, I need to talk to him?" Cecil says looking down at a high-tech watch on his right wrist before up at Naruto.

"Yeah he is out back with Mark likely getting yelled at by mom for training so soon after coming home from the hospital" Naruto says with a shrug as he leads the man to the backyard just as Mark and Nolan touch down on the ground.

"What do you need, Cecil?" Nolan asks with a slight scowl on his face at the sight of the man.

Cecil touches a button on his watch and a holographic picture of space with a blurry object in it appears above the watch "We picked this up near Mars about an hour ago, moving fast…He's back" Cecil says zooming the image in to show the blurry form of some sort of being flying through space "He's back and in about 15 minutes he will be breathing our air. I wouldn't ask Nolan but with the Guardians gone…"he adds trailing off.

"I'll stop him, just like last time" Nolan says with a shrug before he ever so slightly winces, with the action not going unnoticed by the others.

"Nolan's been home not even a week, and you want to send him to space? No, no way, he doesn't work for you" Debbie says with a scowl as she gets between Nolan and Cecil.

"There's no one else Debbie, and we can't risk this guy touching down on Earth" Cedcil counters explaining how few options they have.

Mark steps forward and is about to open his mouth and say something when Naruto beats him to it "I'll go" he says suddenly causing everyone to turn to him.

"Okay" Nolan says quickly with a smile on his face.

"What!?" Debbie nearly screeches at the thought of her son going to space to fight some alien.

"Why not? He's not that tough, Naruto will be able to handle him easily" Nolan says with a shrug having faith that Naruto would be able to beat the guy.

"Oh wonderful that's your solution?" Debbie says throwing her arms up in the air before walking into the house.

"Right well, just knock some sense into the guy, and throw him back where he came from," Nolan says looking at Naruto.

"Um, just curious, but how is Naruto going to breathe in space?" Mark asks the question that had been bugging him for a moment.

"That's simple…he isn't" Nolan says getting a look of confusion from Mark at the vague answer.

Naruto seeing this just sighs "Viltrumites can't breathe in space but we have extremely enhanced lungs so we can hold our breath for a very long time Mark. However due to me being Half-Saiyan I can also protect myself with my Ki energy by creating an aura around my body to protect me from the vacuum of space" he explains causing Mark's eyes to widen at the feat.

"We have 12 minutes now" Cecil interrupts, pointing out how time is ticking. Nodding at the alert Naruto quickly changes into his super suit which thankfully Art had been able to fix quite rapidly after it got torn up in the 2nd Flaxan invasion. With his super suit now on, Naruto went out to the backyard and flared his Ki around his body and created an aura around him before rocketing up into the sky and towards space.

(Space, Just Outside Earth's Atmosphere)

As he exited the Earth's atmosphere Sentinel began looking around for any sight of the alien when suddenly something collided with his back sending him flying away towards a satellite. As the hero was about to crash into the satellite he managed to stop himself and turned to see his attacker. Said alien was a tall male(?) looking being with a single large eye, orange skin, and a beefy muscular physique like that of a professional bodybuilder.

"Hey you're early!" The now confirmed male alien communicates telepathically "And you shaved your mustache." he adds, getting a raised eyebrow from Sentinel.

"Um…okay? Anyway stay away from my planet" Sentinel thinks back telepathically at the alien figuring the link was a two-way connection.

"I would but that's not how this works" the alien responds with a grin on his face as he floats in front of Sentinel.

"So be it then" Sentinel replies before blitzing towards the alien and spearing him in the gut with his shoulder before delivering a rapid series of blows to his chest before finishing up by delivering a brutal uppercut to his chin that sends him floating away.

As the alien tumbles through space he manages to right himself and notices a satellite right next to him. "Not bad though if you're trying to tackle me into something your moon is that way!" he yells mentally before throwing the satellite towards the hero. Sentinel merely quirked an eyebrow at this before firing off a small ki orb that destroys the satellite in a large explosion. However the hero wasn't expecting the alien to fly through the explosion using it as a cover in order to get close and begin punching him in the face sending him flying back "I have to admit I am kinda surprised you're not asking how you can hear my voice in your head given it's where your brain is" the alien comments as he continues pummeling Sentinel with punches while the hero has his arms up in front of his head to block them.

"It was pretty obvious you have telepathic powers when I heard your voice. Though the brain thing must get confusing at times given the whole adage about how males think with the brain in their pants" Sentinel replies as he deflects a punch and counters back with his own causing the alien to fly back a bit.

"Ha good one! Also that's what you call protecting your planet? I'm sad for your people!" the alien says with a smirk before rushing back in as the two begin engaging in a battle of blows landing multiple hits on each other as they tumble through space. The alien manages to land a blow on Sentinel's abdomen that hunches him over before getting sent flying back towards Earth's atmosphere by a kick "Are you sure you're the same guy I fought here three years ago?" the alien asks almost mockingly with his arms crossed over his chest.

Sentinel manages to regain his composure and right himself just outside of the atmosphere before wiping away some blood on his lip "No unfortunately for you I am not the same guy…" he answers before he flares his aura and brings hands together in a 'claw-like' stance by his right hip. The hero's aura begins to shine even brighter as it grows bigger and a blue orb of ki energy forms in between his palms with rays of lighting shining out between his fingers "Kaaaa…meee…." he begins says as the orb begins shining even brighter as his aura flares wildly "haaaaaa...meeee…" he continues as the light grows so bright the alien has to shield his eye. Sentinel suddenly thrust his arms out in front of him with his hands still cradling the orb as he mentally yelled "HAA!" and launched the attack as a large blue beam at the alien

The alien's lone eye widened in shock at seeing the attack heading his way "Whoa that's new!" he thinks as he brings his arms up to shield his body from the attack given he wouldn't have time to avoid it. The large beam slams into the alien causing him to grunt in exertion as he tries to stay in place only to be sent flying backwards towards the moon. As he heads towards the celestial body he can feel his arms start to burn from the intense heat of the attack before his back slams into the lunar surface in a large cloud of moon dust and rock.

Seeing the impact Sentinel ends his attack not wanting to risk potentially damaging the moon to an extent it would harm the Earth and then rockets to where the alien is. As he enters the cloud of moon dust he is suddenly blindsided by a kick to the side sending him crashing to the lunar surface. Before the hero can even regain his bearings the alien is on him again brutally kicking him further and further into the lunar surface as a large crater begins to form "Fucking hell can't I just get a god damn break with everything thats going on!" he mental rages before the kicks suddenly stop.

"Are you using your timeout?" the alien suddenly asks standing above him and looking down with a questioning look.

"Um what?" was the hero's intelligent response to the sudden question.

"Your timeout…are you using it?" The alien asks again to be sure.

"...Why the hell do I get a timeout?" Sentinel asks, looking up at the alien in confusion.

"Hey I didn't invent the rules I just enforce them" the alien replies with a dismissive shrug.

"Your people have rules for when they try to invade a planet?" Sentinel inquires with disbelief at the rather absurd notion.

"Whoa invade? I'm not here to invade" the alien replies looking not only shocked but a little bit offended by the question.

"Then why the hell are you here and why are we beating each other senseless!?" Sentinel rages as he was totally done with the situation.

The alien tilts his head before rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly and offering Sentinel a hand helping him to his feet before the two fly out of the crater and towards an undamaged area not far away before sitting down on two rocks "So um hi, I'm an evaluation officer for the Coalition of Planets. I drop by little mudballs like yours and make sure there is someone capable of defending them from you know planet-conquering monsters, warlords, empires…you know things of that nature" the alien says casually.

"I have no idea what you are talking about, or what any of that means" Sentinel replies with a deadpan look on his face.

"Well I don't know what to tell ya mann as your planet signed up for the program see" the alien replies pulling out a datapad that has a picture of a planet similar to Earth but with the word "Urath" above it "Request from Urath for evaluation" he adds with a pointed look.

"This is EARTH not Urath…Like with an E not a U!" Sentinel nearly yells mentally at the absurdity of this whole situation being caused by what appears to be a clerical error of some kind.

The Alien's eye widens in realization and shock at this before his shoulders slump "Ah crap I am in so much trouble" he mentally says with a sigh before standing up "Well thanks for letting me know. I'm Allen by the way" he says, extending an arm towards the hero in a handshake.

Sentinel stands up with a slight grin on his face as he shakes Allen's hand "I'm Sentinel or at least thats my hero name" he responds with a slight shrug of his shoulders.

"Huh pretty cool, definitely living up to that name at the moment especially with that last attack of yours" Allen says with a lopsided grin as he shows decently burned arms to the hero.

Seeing the damage Sentinel can't help but wince "Yeah sorry about that man" he communicates rubbing the back of his neck in awkwardness.

"Nah don't worry about it, by the time I get half-way home my arms will be healed good as new…That being said so long as i don't get fired I will see you around Sentinel" was the alien's response with a lopsided grin before he flies away back into the emptiness of space.

Sentinel just shakes his head with a smirk on his face seeing the alien fly away before he turns back and looks at Earth with a fond smile on his face at the view. However his smile fades when he remembers the last time he was up here and how bittersweet it is to be back here. The hero then simply sighs before flying back towards Earth.

(Earth, Grayson Household)

Seeing the alien flying away and Sentinel head back to Earth from the holographic images floating in the air above his watch Cecil smirks before turning to the door to leave. However just before he reaches said door he stops in place "Oh just one more thing before I go" he says turning around to look at Nolan who is frowning at him.

"I already told you everything I remember. I got a distress call from the Guardians, but when I arrived everything seemed fine. Then the lights went out and someone attacked me. I fought with them until I passed out, and then woke up in your hospital" Nolan states defensively already having a guess as to what Cecil wanted to ask him…again.

Cecil simply stares at Nolan for a moment in silence before scoffing "Have to say it must have been a pretty tough bastard to lay you out like that. Hell I have never seen you lose like that before" he remarks tensely.

Nolan silently grits his teeth as an image of him reaching out and crushing the man's skull between his hands plays out in his mind before he squashes those images down "Yeah" he grits out in suppressed rage.

Cecil stares at Nolan in silence for a moment before opening the front door and exiting the house. As he goes to take a step outside Debbie suddenly speaks up "Do you have any leads yet on who did this?" she asks causing him to freeze in place.

"Not yet, someone thinks they're too clever for us. They all think that at first" was Cecil's response before he vanishes in a blue bolt of electricity.

(The Next Day, Downtown Chicago)

People had gathered around a small makeshift memorial of flowers, candles, pictures, and signs at the sight of the Flaxan invasions to pay their respects to those who had been killed by said invaders. However the moment was ruined as to their horror several very familiar portals opening up in the area "OH MY GOD THEY'RE BACK!" a woman screamed in terror as all hell broke loose once again.

(Reginald Vel Johnson High School)

Mark was at his locker having just closed it when he was suddenly grabbed the back of his shirt, spun around, and slammed into said locker by none other than Todd who leaned in real close to him "...I'm sorry" the bully suddenly said much to his shock.

"Um what?" Mark asks in complete confusion never expecting Todd of all people to ever apologize.

Hearing this the bully grit his teeth in suppressed anger "I'm sorry I kicked your ass okay?" he says slightly louder.

"Thanks…I guess?" Mark replies with the same confused look on his face.

"Amber Bennet also wants to know if you'd like her number" Todd adds visibly shaking in repressed anger.

"Um yes but why are you…" Mark begins to say before stopping as Todd glares heavily at him.

"She found some old photos of me, photos she said she'd delete if I did this one stupid thing, so here is her number" the bully rapidly states before shoving a piece of paper into Mark's hand and storming off

Mark looks at the piece of paper in his hand with a grin before his cellphone rings. As he answers his cellphone the teen's eyes widen in alarm at what he hears before he runs off.

(Downtown, Chicago)

Absolute chaos the likes of which that made the previous two attacks pale in comparison was the sight that greeted Teen Team and Invincibile as they landed atop a nearby building as they stared down at the carnage below. Hundreds upon hundreds of Flaxans poured out of the portals accompanied by tanks that looked even more high-tech than the previous ones. The invaders fired upon anything that moved disintegrating people left and right with their rifles all while Sentinel flew around trying to avoid laser blasts and peppering the invaders with ki attacks trying to hold the enemies back.

Despite this however the heroes let out a gulp as they saw the state he was in already heavily wounded with his outfit covered in holes, rips, and blood both his and that of the invaders. "I have bad news, they're too many of them, their technology has advanced too far, they seemed to have rendered themselves immune to our time stream, and it appears that even Sentinel is having trouble if not being unable to stop them" Robot states scanning the battle and running combat scenarios in his mind. After running though countless battle scenarios through his mind he speaks up again "I have just finished running fourteen million, six hundred and five combat scenarios in my mind" he states leaving the others hanging waiting for an answer.

"Okay and how many do we win?" Rex asks with a raised eyebrow.

"None here" Robot replies, shocking the others "However in one scenario we do achieve victory but only after falling back to regroup after a decisive action. Therefore we should consider the city lost and I will contact Cecil to suggest a nuclear response to buy us time"he says stunning the others.

"We're not Nuking anyone Robot and we're not giving up!" Eve yells at him before flying down to join the fight with Invincible following after her.

"Yeah, what are we Fight Force?" Dupli-kate asks with a scoff before she and Rex slide down a nearby railing to reach the ground.

"...Why do I even bother running scenarios if we never stick to them?" Robot asks himself before flying down to join the fight as well.

Sentinel let out a yell as he fired another Volcanic Explosion off vaporizing at least a hundred Flaxans despite the reduced size of the attack simply due to how many of the invaders were crowded in the streets. The hero panted heavily as he was starting to become exhausted from the fighting having fired off dozens upon dozens of the ki blasts in his arsenal yet the enemy just kept pouring out of the portals. Suddenly he was blasted out of the air by several tank lasers and sent slamming into the ground in a large crater. The hero spat out a glob of blood before wiping his mouth off with the back of his hand as he shakily got to his feet and stared at the advancing army. A bloody scowl formed on his face as blood ran down the side of his head from a gash on his left temple as he gathered Ki energy around his hands. The energy crackled with electrical arcs as the the energy began to take an elongated pointed shape like that of a blade forming "Well come on then you fuckers as if I am going down I am taking as many of you fuckers with me as I can!" he roared out charging the army head on.

The hero began slicing his way through the Flaxans avoiding or tanking laser blasts, and blade strikes in a dance of blood and death. Blood and body parts filled the air and littered the ground as he continued slicing more and more of the enemy apart.

"SENTINEL!" He heard a voice yell and turned his head to see Eve along with the rest of Teen Team landing not far behind him before charging the enemy as well to join the fight. Meanwhile Invincible flew ahead into the thick of the invading army only to be slammed to the ground by the Flaxan General who had made his reappearance wearing a large mechanical suit.

"INVINCIBLE!" Robot yelled seeing this and how the General began mercilessly beating on the hero pinned under his foot. The robotic hero made to go assist Invincible only to be held in place and swarmed by Flaxan troops with the others in the same state or too busy fighting for their lives.

Invincible's vision began to blur and the corners of it began to fade to black as the General repeatedly punched him, and his blood splattered the pavement again and again. The General let out a sinister chuckle as he reached down to crush the hero's head and said "Die" in English before he was suddenly yanked away and held up in the air by Omni-man.

"Are you okay Mark?" Omni-man asked using his son's name instead of his hero name due to how far from the others they were to which Mark could just groan. Seeing this Omni-man scowled at the General before throwing him to the ground which he skipped along before stopping in front of one of the portals. The Flaxan troops nearest to the General began opening fire on Omni-man with a devastating barrage of laser fire creating a cloud of smoke around the hero. Not seeing their target anymore they cease firing only for the smoke to clear and Omni-man to be unharmed.

Omni-man stared down at the Flaxan troops as if they were insignificant ants to him when he suddenly heard Sentinel shout "EVE LOOK OUT!" and turned to see his eldest son push the female hero out of the way just in time, saving her life from a Flaxan that had fired his rifle at her head while she had her back turned. However as a result the blast hit Sentinel directly in the chest, more specifically right next to his left pectoral right where his heart would be…and pierced right through his chest and out his back. Sentinel stood there frozen for a moment, his eyes wide as he coughed out blood and fell to the ground motionless with his eyes still wide and unblinking.

"SENTINEL!" Eve yelled in horror at what just happened as she rushed to his side trying to check on him to see if he was alive but instead having to put up a shield to protect herself and him from the incoming fire from the Flaxans who upon seeing the hero fall seemed to have become emboldened in their attack.

Omni-man looked down on this with wide eyes before a look of fury twisted upon his face "Big mistake" he growled out before blitzing the Flaxans and tearing through them like a hurricane. Bodies, body parts, and blood flew into the air as the enraged hero held nothing back butchering every Flaxan he could get his hands on in a blindingly fast display. The remaining heroes stopped fighting all together and just watched in shock and awe at the display as Omni-man was single handedly eviscerating the Flaxan army.

Ewing themselves getting butchered the remaining Flaxans decided to cut their losses and retreat through the portals which began closing one by one. The General seeing this flew into a rage and barked orders at his troops which they ignored. As he was about to turn to look at the man stopping his invasion the General was suddenly tackled through the portal by Omni-man with said portal closing moments later.

"DAD!" Invincible yelled out seeing this causing Rex to turn to him in shock.

"Wait, Omni-man is yours and Sentinel's dad!?" He yells upon finding out that the man that is probably the strongest hero in the world is the father the two.

"Sentinel wake up, stay with me!" Eve was heard yelling as she tried shaking the downed hero who was still motionless on the ground a pool of blood forming under him as his eyes were still wide open and unblinking.

"Naruto!" Mark yelled rushing over to his brother using his real name as the others gathered around as well.

"Cecile we need an immediate medical response team, Sentinel is down massive injuries, potentially fatal" Robot says out loud as he contacts Cecil and seconds later a GDA trauma team teleports in with Cecil.

"Alright everyone back!" Cecil barks out to the heroes as the trauma rushes in and begins getting to work running scans and doing whatever they can "Dammit people talk to me!" he barks at the medical team.

"Patient has numerous broken bones, lacerations, puncture wounds, and laser burns. Main injury is a massive puncture wound with laser burns to the chest cavity, possible damage tothis heart, definitely a pneumothorax as well! If we don't get him into treatment now he isn't going to make it!" The lead trauma team member stated, looking over the scans.

"Well then get him to the damn operating table people!" Cecil barks out as the team moves Sentinel's body onto a hover gurney and teleports away. Cecil looks down at his watch to see it sparking heavily "Damn all the mass teleport shorted it out" he states looking at the device that enables him to teleport. The man then turned his attention towards the teens "Alright Teen Team for what it's worth good out there ,go rest up or do whatever. Invincible go home and inform you mother about what's happened then the two of you can head to the hospital and wait for any word on Sentinel's condition" he says with a sigh before walking away cursing under his breath at the turn of events.

Invincible didn't even bother saying anything to Teen Team as he flew away to tell his mom of what happened leaving a stunned team more so Eve who was just looking at the pool of blood left behind by Sentinel in shock.

(Grayson Household)

Mark landed outside the house and quickly entered through the front door, surprising his mother "What happened!?" she asks in shock at seeing the state he is in.

"The Flaxans attacked again but dad saved us. But he went into one of their portals" Mark says somberly, not looking her in the eyes.

"Oh so he will be late for dinner?" Debbie responds shocking Mark with her reply. Seeing the shocked look on her son's face Debbie says "I was worried before because I have never seen your father so badly hurt. Taking on aliens in another dimension though is just a normal Tuesday for him. Where's your brother? Wasn't he fighting as well?" Debbie asks wondering where her other son was given if Mark was fighting Naruto likely was as well.

"Mom…Naruto got hurt, like really bad" Mark says causing Debbie's eyes to widen in horror "Cecil had him teleported out to the GDA Hospital but it doesn't look good, I came to get you so we can go wait there for any word on his condition" he adds causing Debbie to rush and grab her pocket book before Mark picks her up and files them out of the house towards the GDA hospital.

(Flaxan Homeworld)

Omni-man floated in the air with the Flaxan general tightly in his grip as he stared down in rage at the beings below him "You people make two mistakes, You hurt my sons…and you don't seem to understand that Earth isn't YOURS to conquer!" he snarls out before blitzing through dozens of buildings using the General's body as a shield with it being ripped to shreds until only the head remains. Omni-man stares down at the dead alien's head in his hand before crushing it in a shower of blood and guts before he begins destroying every city, building, and structure in the entire world. He starts flying so fast that the air around him becomes superheated creating a fiery shockwave of debris and dust in his wake incinerating city after city. He flies up to space above the planet and flies through a massive space station orbiting the planet destroying it ina blinding explosion before rocketing back down to the ground slamming into it and causing a massive earthquake that is so strong it starts tearing apart the continent he landed on. The enraged Viltrumite then continues his genocide.

Ending Author Note: Well there is CHapter 2 everyone and OOOH WHEE what a doozy it was.

Now I bet you are all going to HATE me for that cliffhangar ending ust like last time…Not going to lie I couldn't resist pulling it…sorry not sorry lol

Anyway yep a lot happened as you saw and this is just the beginning things are only going to get crazier from here on out so as one of they greatest movie characters ever said "Hold on to your butts"...also props to everyone that knows what movie that comes from.
