Chapter 9
Grimm
The final fight between Taiyang and Nicholas was brutal.
Even after their aura entered the red they haven't stopped, even when professor Opzin, and a member of team Atlas entered to stop them, they didn't stop.
They fought till blood was dripping, and their teams didn't blame them.
Yesterday talk with Professor Ozpin wasn't a good one, they came out not even knowing if they should call him Ozpin or Ozma in fact.
The information he gave them Shattered their reality to Pieces, and they didn't even have time to process it because they had the fastival finals, the crowds were cheering however.
After the announcement of Nicholas Arc winning the fight, Juniper snapped back to reality and jumped in to help Tai and Nicholas, and the rest of her friends finally snapped back too.
Their injuries weren't that bad, when she reached them, she started using her semblance to heal them both, they both avoided looking at her, feeling shame for losing their cool, she didn't have it in her to blame them, but Summer did.
"The hell were you two thinking!, the match ends on red not death" Summer yelled at them both, not caring about the Atlas student next to them.
They didn't have anything to say to Summer, instead they looked at each other and shrugged, Summer was angry now.
"I take it everyone is on edge after yesterday huh" Roman walked beside Juniper with sad expression.
"No fucking shit Sherlock" Juniper hissed at him, "we just discovered that magic is real, there is someone controlling the grimm, and our favorite teacher is a thousand years old wizard " said in a whisper so the Atlas student doesn't hear it.
"Well at less we didn't discovered it on the field, this way we can actually make a plan and do something about it" Bart joined the conversation also Whispering.
Nicholas looked at Tai, who's next to him and grinned.
"Loser" Nicholas simply said.
"Bastard" Taiyang replied.
With the information from yesterday, a lot of things got explained, but now there is a lot more questions.
"Like how's a basically an immortal wizard unable to kill the grimm queen for so long" Nicholas thought as he closed his eyes letting the medical team take him.
His and Taiyang injuries were bad, specially that their aura is broken too.
it was the only way they both knew to vent their emotions safely, and it was better than thinking about their discovery.

The bullhead travel wasn't the best.
Specially when transporting a group of 40 huntsmen in training.
Specifically when they had ' Jaune vomiting Arc' on.
Team JNPR and RWBY sat close to jaune, in a sense they each backed away 5 meters away, for their safety of course.
"Remember students, each team have 4 jars, at the end of this trip I expect each team having all 4 full, and because this year we have a lot of students, we have here second years team CVFY, who will be helping me with keeping everyone safe and in line" miss Goodwitch said, gesturing to the 4 people next to her.
The leader looked like a movie star with her clothes and she didn't look like she had a weapon, her partner looked more like a bodyguard with his huge body and the claymore he had on his back, their other teams looked more approachable, with dark skin and red hair, the guy looked like he uses claws as his main weapon, and the last one..
"Velvet?" Ruby asked in surprise, happy to see her again
"Oh hey guys, I'll be keeping you safe this time today" Velvet said with smile.
"also I wanted to thank you again for yesterday , they got my ear before I knew it and I couldn't move without damaging it, where's jaune I need to thank him too" Velvet said, walking along side her team leader
" I also want to thank the kid, we should be the one protecting our own, not some strangers, not that I'm not glad with what you did or not happy about Velvet making new friends" Coco Adel explained as she approached, they looked around spotting jaune in the corner, they went to greet him but they were stopped by Pyrrha.
"you're welcome, We all happy we could help, and let's not bother Jaune, he isn't in the best of state now" Pyrrha answered, holding both their hands so tehy couldn't approach.
Velvet looked confused at first, but quickly caught the smelled and backed away.
"I'll see you later guys, I need to talk with miss Goodwitch to see how best to cover the first year" coco said while moving out of the conversation.
"We don't need anyone to look after us, we're strong" Ruby complaining which made Velvet chuckle at that.
"Don't worry about it sis, what the worst that could happen" Yang said, and Blake gave her a deadpan look for dooming them.

On the ground, students started spreading left and right collecting.
Team Rwby and JNPR decided to split to cover more ground, which resulted in Jaune and Blake meeting along.
"hey there, good to see you getting along with your team" jaune said with a smile.
Even though team RWBY and JNPR always together, jaune and Blake barley had anytime to talk one on one.
"Yeah, I do appreciate them trying to include me with their weird activities" Blake responded with a small smile.
"so, are you going to tell them or still wait" Jaune was Intentionally vague, so if someone was listening wouldn't get it.
"I'm not sure yet, I know how yang and ruby going to act, but I don't know about Weiss, specially about what I used to be" she had a worried look on her face while her ear twitched to the side, jaune couldn't blame her.
The white fang weren't the SDC best fan club, bombing mines and stealing dust, and even at some point kidnapping some of the investors so they could change their policies against faunus which worked for about a year and then went back to even worse conditions.
His uncle Lecture weren't that bad, focusing on the topic without any biases, faunus was/still one of his main subjects, talking about the war and how faunus won the war yet still failed, and as a result, the white fang was born.
"I mean, you could tell her you were part of the white fang, the peaceful one, and you left when they got violent" what jaune said is technically the true.
"just imagine it being this simple" Blake said with a chuckle, she look at jaune who already finished collecting his jar.
"say, what this about you and yang, yanging out together?" Blake asked.
"wow and here I thought yang puns were bad, well it's not my secret to tell so you'll need to ask her yourself" jaune avoided the question by binning the blame on yang
"how about how you two met?" Blake asked instead.
"well after the train where I met you, i went to a club called the club, there i met yang beating up people left and right, we talked then she went to pick up ruby, who was in the middle of a dust robbery, that's also how ruby joined Beacon 2 years early" jaune explained
"the club as in the club, why were you two at a bar for information?" Blake asked while her ear twitched again, jaune noticed and asked.
'I'm not sure, it's more like an instinct for danger, don't try avoid the question" Blake caught on, and jaune had to answer.
"I'm looking for someone, and he's connected to Vale underground criminal circle, i was trying to track him down, yang had a different reason, you can ask her yourself..." jaune trailed off as we both felt weird silence on us.
we both got in a fighting stand, ready for what's coming, and what they saw shock them to the core.
they saw a bleeding Velvet holding an unconscious Cardin, before they could ask, a dark shadow came behind them.
jaune and blake jumped in to help, Jaune threw one of his gadgets, which turned into hard light shield, protecting Velvet and Cardin from behind.
it gave them enough time for Blake to reach them and fighting of the creature.
it was twice as tall as Blake, with 2 claw hands and head, by all accounts it was a grimm, but it's body was more slimy with the only solid parts were the head and the hands.
Blake ears twitched again, she fired dust round on it , but it didn't look that much effected, his claw came down on her but Jaune came just in time.
holding his shield, Jaune blocked the attack, while his other hand was about to counter the other claw.
it gave Janue a clear hit and he took it, slicing the grimm through his stomach.
the grimm became 2 parts, which put Jaune and Blake at ease, they turned to Velvet and Cardin to help them, they were both bleeding, but Cardin was unconscious , which was bad.
"what happened?" Jaune asked, taking Cardin from Velvet so Blake can start first aid on her while Jaune start it on Cardin.
" team Cardin were harassing me while i was monitoring the area when a dark shadow attacked them, i went to help but at that point half of the team were down and Cardin was fighting alone, i went to help and..." Velvet stopped, her eyes widen and she stood up and looked behind.
"let's move, NOW" Velvet screamed at them, they didn't understand but followed her orders and started running to the main area.
they looked back at the grimm, it became 2 parts, both moving independent of each other, they both realized why Velvet wanted them to move, and how a full huntsmen team failed to fight off one grimm, it wasn't just one.
"we need to inform miss Goodwitch as soon as pos-" she didn't finish her words as the scene was displayed in front of them.
all they could see were the bodies everywhere, students bodies, they came here with 40 huntsmen in training fully ready to take down any grimm they see, now?, they had less than 20.
miss Goodwitch made a way for team RWBY and JNPR who were helping injured students on, Velvet saw Cardin's teammates on the bullhead and she relaxed a little, then she saw her own team fighting off it from getting closer.
she, Jaune, Blake, and unconscious Cardin went to them, team CVFY noticed them and cleared their way without questions.
"what the hell is this thing" one of the student yelled.
" get on the bullhead for now, miss Goodwitch we need to leave, we can't hold all of this thing, it keeps multiplying" Coco scream so her teacher could hear her.
"you and team CVFY go with the first years, make sure they reach Beacon safely, I already asked for another bullhead to come here, I'll look for survivors" miss Goodwich answered, fighting off about 15 to 20 of grimms.
Jaune and Blake got Cardin inside of the bullhead, there they met their teammates who looked relieved.
Ruby and Pyrrha looked fine, while Ren, Nora, and Yang looked like they were bleeding, they shrugged and said they were fine.
"where's Weiss" Blake asked.
"she and Ruby had a argument and left before this started" Pyrrha said, and Ruby looked guilty about it.
the bullhead started taking, everyone face went white.
"we can't leave without her, we need to go back" Ruby yelled and stared heading to the exit but Blake caught her.
"miss Goodwitch is still out she'll find here, we need to get out of here" Blake looked pained for leaving Weiss behind but a lot of students were in bad shape.
"i agree with Blake, we can't run off and give miss Goodwitch morework" said Ren siding with Blake.
" well we can't do nothing" Yang added.
"Yang is right, but we need a plan first, Ruby, can you track Weiss?" with a nod he continued "so me, Ruby, Blake and Ren will go down and look for her, Yang and Nora, help miss Goodwitch with that thing until we get back" nods all around they jumped from the bullhead midair to find their missing teamate and help their teacher.

finding Wiess wasn't that hard
on the count she held the missing member of team CVFY, Fox.
"took you long enough to find me, i started thinking i wasn't tat good of a friend" Weiss said jokingly to Ruby and Jaune.
"it's your fault for not agreeing with my awesome plan" Ruby responded, she noticed the little blood, Ruby was about to apologize until i cut in.
"huh, what was your awesome plan?" I asked testing everyone telling them we found Weiss.
"she wanted to use the sap to make new type of cookies" Weiss deadpan while Ruby looked embarrassed.
"and what were you doing out here Weiss, making out with a seconf year?" I teased as we made our way back,helping Weiss with Fox, she was about to answer with an insult until she caught on and played along.
"well duh, but their was a rude grimm interrupting so we killed it" Weiss stated , not noticing Ruby's shock face.
" can you guys not" said Fox after coming to consciousness, he was about to continue but Rubt cut him off.
" you killed one ?" Ruby asked in shock, and it took Jaune a second to realized what Weiss did say, his eyes widen.
" well yes, it's a grimm, we are suppose to kill them" Weiss answer, not realizing how significant that was.
"Weiss, that thing can't be killed, each time we kill it, it Multiply" Jaune told Weiss who finally understood how bad the situation must have been.
"i just used dust on it and it died" Weiss said simply
"Blake used dust on it too but it had no effect, what type did you use" Jaune asked, but before he got an answer they got attacked by it.
Jaune blocked the attack and Weiss came beside him and lunched ice spickes from the ground, the thing died leaving a literal human hand behind.
everyone was stunned , but gathered themselves quickly, ice dust can hurt them which was progress.
finding their way back was easy, beacuse of Nora pink explosive everywhere.
"we found Weiss and some survivors" Ruby said looking at Ren and Blake who were carrying more people.
" good job miss Roes, Mister Arc, now everyone get on this bullhead so we can leave" miss Goodwitch commanded.
"what about the rest" Ruby asked, nobody looked her way.
"miss Roes, i don't think they survived" miss Goodwitch said grimly.
they got on the second bullhead, but a swarm of that grimm came rushing into each other, creating a giant grimm
"get inside, I'll hold them off" miss Goodwitch said, turning her back on them.
"we need to do something, Nora use some of your ice grenade" Nora looked confused but did as Jaune said.
they didn't do that much damage, they need a bigger explosion, and Jaune had an idea.
"Weiss, everyone give me all the ice dust you guys have, i have an idea" they looked at each other confused but they gave him the ice dust, while using everything else to help miss Goodwitch.
"Ruby help me with this" Ruby did she was asked, her silver eyes widen at the idea then sparked with excitement.
"did't i tell you to back out, get out" miss Goodwitch screamed at them to move out, but they were like flys, avoiding hits like their life depended in it, witch it did.
as soon as this whole thing started miss Goodwitch noticed that her students were getting hurt while having full aura, and when she saw it in front of her she piece it together.
" this grimm ignores aura, which mean one hit is enough to kill any huntsmen, i need to get the students out so i can take care of this once and fore all" miss Goodwitch thought as she started grapping her students with her semblence and throwing them inside the bullhead.
"now Ruby" before she could react a red blurr graped her and then she realized she was on the bullhead now.
"what are you doi-" she could't finish as Jaune was neeling on one leg, his shield on his left hand and looked like he was aiming on grimm, the grimm noticed him because it started sprinting at him.
the teacher was about to interfere but team JNPR stopped her.
suddenly the shield that Jaune was holding opened from the middle, a small rocket was at the tip of the shield and it got fired.
Jaune raced back to the bullhead but the explosion was too strong, which sended him rolling for a few meters before Nora catched him.
"Ren look what i got, one fearless leader" Ren chuckled while the rest laughed at Nora antics.
behind them, the explosion left a giant wall of ice, the wall was easily 5x the bullhead size, and miss Goodwitch was stunned for a second, just a second before turning to her students who disobeyed her orders.
but before she could say anything the wall of ice vanished with the grimm body.
everyone looked in horror as the "grimm" body Disappeared leaving behind human body parts.
a faunus head rolled in front of miss Goodwitch, she didn't recognize him but she did realize something else.
"silver eyes"
hey it's been a while, i actually been thinking if i should continue this or not.then i decided I'll just continue and see I'd actually people like it or not.
the main thing about this story is Roman and Jaune, and I'm trying to move to the docks so the plot I'm planning starts.
everything until now was just miner changes, well except this where we get a new type of grimm.
