"What?"

There was a thick amount of killing intent radiating off of Naruto that even unnerved the stoic Uchiha. Never breaking eye contact, he spoke again. "He was afraid of the power that Shisui's eyes held and ambushed him along with several of his Root subordinates.

He escaped with one eye and I met up with him but by then it was too late and the damage was already done." Naruto processed the information he just received. Danzo killed his nephew and took one of his eyes. He took a deep breath to try and calm his nerves.

He turned back to Itachi and spoke. "That is something that can not go unnoticed but that begs the question. There is more to the story that you are not telling me isn't there?" "It seems we have run out of time. Until we meet again Naruto" Itachi said as he dispersed in a flock of crows. Not even a minute later, Chojuro came running in his direction. "Naruto-San, Mei-Sama requests your presence." He nodded slowly and gave one last look to the spot that Itachi once stood.

Itachi reappeared next to Kisame who was walking slowly through the woods. "Took you long enough" he said. "We were instructed not to draw any attention to ourselves" Itachi said. Kisame grinned. "I'm quite the celebrity here. And I didn't really suppress my chakra." Itachi said nothing more as they continued walking.

Naruto returned to camp where he saw Mei sitting in her tent. "Chojuro could you excuse us please?" she asked with a beautiful smile. He blushed but nodded and left. Naruto chuckled. "That boy is madly in love with you" he said. "That's quite unfortunate.

While he is adorable and an aspiring shinobi, he's not the kind of man I'm looking for." "Oh? And what kind of man are you looking for?" Naruto asked playing along. "Oh a strong man. One that exudes power and dominance."

She stood up and walked up to him and placed a hand on his chest and brung her mouth to his ear. "But most importantly, one that does not keep secrets" she whispered. While he did not show an outward reaction, she knew that he knew what she was referring to.

"You flared quite the bit of killing intent. I've never felt anything like it and in all honesty, it shook me a bit. But you mustn't know that I have capable sensors in my group and they identified you along with another shinobi. Is there something I should know?" she asked.

"You know, when you're demanding you're almost irresistible" he said but she didn't lessen her hold. He sighed. 'Women are so troublesome' he thought. "I ran into someone that I never thought would reveal himself in front of me again. He relayed some troubling information to me and I may have gotten a bit upset."

"Is this person you speak of an ally or enemy?" she asked. "He's an ally" he said quickly. She nodded and moved away from him, much to his disappointment. "Kisame did make an appearance in the village but he did not engage with anyone. This is a sign that we need to end Yagura's rule quickly. If S rank shinobi can enter the village this easily, what's to stop an entire village?" she said. He nodded in agreement. "You're the leader Mei, it's your call" he said.

4 months later

A rather small man sat at his desk with emotionless grey eyes. He sat in almost a robotic trance. He felt a small surge of chakra and narrowed his eyes.

Minutes earlier, Naruto in full shinobi armor, walked into Yagura's territory. He was immediately stopped by a couple of guards. "Holt! State your name!" one said. He smiled. "Naruto Uchiha." The guards were immediately alarmed and drew their swords. "What business do you have with Lord Yagura?" the other one spoke.

"I simply want to speak with him about his crimes against the bloodline users." "How dare you accuse Yagura-Sama's work of being a crime?" They dashed towards Naruto together and stabbed him from opposite sides of his body.

"Never speak ill of Lord-Yagura scum" he spat. As blood poured from Naruto's mouth, he chuckled. He activated his 3 tamoe sharingan and spoke. "I'll do well to remember that when I see him" he said. The guards looked at him confused until they both felt a sharp pain in their stomachs. The world around them shattered as they found each others swords protruding out of the other. They both dropped to the ground dead.

Naruto then casted a powerful genjutsu across the entire area. He headed straight for the Mizukage tower but didn't even make it halfway there as the roof exploded off of the place.

Yagura emerged from the tower looking down right pissed. How dare someone try to trap him in a genjutsu? They would pay with their life. He turned towards the source of the jutsu and saw a man with black shinobi armor staring at him with a disinterested look. "You know, for a Kage I thought you'd be a lot taller" Naruto said. Yagura didn't respond verbally and dashed towards Naruto. He swung a kick at Naruto's head but he blocked the kick and sent a fist toward Yagura's face.

Yagura tried to dodge the attack but was swiftly met with a knee to the jaw. He stumbled back and held his face. "You know, I might not even need help killing you. You're really disappointing me. Care to let the turtle come out and play?"

"You will not look past me. You will die along with that cursed dojutsu" he said as he went through hand signs and shot a powerful stream of water towards the armored shinobi. Naruto went through a single hand seal and shot out a gigantic fireball towards the water. Upon contact an explosion rang and smoke filled the area. Yagura was looking around, waiting for the attack.

Red eyes opened right in front of him. "It seems that you've already been trapped in a genjutsu, a powerful one at that" Naruto said. "You know nothing" Yagura snarled as he began rapidly leaking potent red chakra.

Moments later the smoke dispersed with a giant screech.

The onlookers from both camps were alarmed. "It seems Yagura has stopped playing around" said Ao. Chojuro nodded meekly and gripped his sword. "We will attack if given the signal" Mei said, keenly observing the battle.

Naruto gazed at the giant turtle with amusement. "You are not pleasant to look at. But I'll indulge you, this should be fun" he said. His eyes swirled into his mangekyo, those red spiraling patterns gleaming with delight. He went through a series of hand signs and built up a large amount of chakra.

"Fire Style Majestic Destroyer Flame". Naruto blew out a massive wall of fire that towered over the turtle and the buildings surrounding it. The turtles eyes widened and rolled itself into a ball in attempt to protect itself. But upon contact the biju winced due to its shell being badly singed. The buildings surrounding the battle were destroyed.

"M-Mei-Sama, if that wasn't enough to defeat Yagura, just what will?" asked Ao in a shocked voice. That was the most destructive jutsu he's ever seen. Mei did not respond as she was shocked as well.

The biju quickly recovered from the assault and rolled toward his attacker. Buildings and people alike were crushed in the onslaught. Naruto's eyes began spinning as a grey human like structure formed around him. (Upper body of the susano)

Giant grey hands reached out to grab the spinning turtle but was pushed back as turtle continued to press forward. Naruto's eyes began to bleed. The fight was dragging on too long. The village was being leveled.

He knew that he had to end it. He grit his teeth and pushed back. The turtle was knocked out of its spinning form as it stumbled back and crushed several buildings.

"Those eyes! You will not control me!" yelled the giant animal. Naruto sensed a giant amount of chakra being built up and tensed. The biju opened its mouth and a giant black ball started to form.

"Mei-Sama what is that?" asked the now terrified Chojuro. "That's a bujidama, a highly destructive jutsu used by tailed beasts that are capable of destroying an entire village" she said. "Are you not worried!?" Ao asked a bit frantically. She smiled, "I trust the Uchiha well enough" she said.

The turtle shot the giant ball at Naruto with blinding speed. Naruto's eyes pulsed and everything seemed to slow down around him. He saw the ball approaching and smiled. Still shrouded in his susano, summoned a giant gunbai made out of the same chakra. As the ball was about to hit him, he swung the weapon and it sent the ball back toward the unsuspecting turtle.

It all happened in a matter of seconds. One second, the giant ball was being sent at Naruto and then the next second it shot back at Yagura. The biju was sent sailing as the ball hit it. In the seal, Yagura was surprised. "He used the same technique as me. How?"

"The sharingan does wonders, doesn't it?" said a voice. Yagura snapped his head to the figure. "How did you get in here?" he growled. Naruto was not smiling. His bleeding eyes along with the black armor made him look quite intimidating.

"Well my eyes are a bit different. My genjutsu is far more deadly than any other. When you are trapped inside, there is no escape and there is only certain death."

The 3 tailed turtle then appeared behind Yagura and growled.

"Your prisoner does not seem to like my eyes, care to tell me why?" Naruto asked. "Because all of you are evil. Those eyes are what caused the destruction of my village!" Yagura yelled.

"The sharingan?"

"Yes. I'm not as heartless as people think. Why would I want to destroy my village and kill my shinobi? I was controlled by one of you" he said.

"Who?"

Yagura chucked. "I'm surprised you don't now. He's your father after all."

"Amaterasu" Naruto said as he left the manscape. Black flames shot toward Yagura and covered him. He howled in pain and agony. And seconds later he was dead. Naruto opened his eyes and wiped the blood away from them. The biju began shrinking as the burnt body of Yagura was seen.

The giant mass of chakra floated away and Naruto payed it no mind. He looked down at the lifeless body of the 4th Mizukage as the rebels came up behind him. Mei led the charge as they looked at the reason for the near destruction of The Mist.

"My father?" Naruto repeated in his head.

1 week later

Naruto was seen at the village gates with Mei. "I would like to thank you once again for taking down Yagura. Without your help there's no telling how many more lives would have been lost" she said with a smile. Naruto smiled softly at the woman. He grew fond of her over the last few months.

While not together, they had several intimate nights with one another and he honestly enjoyed it. "If I was not a loyal shinobi of Konoha, I would have loved to come live here" he said. She chuckled softly at his statement. "Flatter, but as appealing as that idea may be, I have a village to rebuild and you have things to attend to.

I will send a treaty to Konoha in a few days. I'm sure they've already heard the news." Naruto nodded and turned his back to the new Kage. "I hope to see you down the line Mizukage-Sama" he said as his afterimage faded away. She shook her head at his antics and headed back to help rebuild.

The 9 holographic figures were gathered once again. "Itachi, Kisame did you locate where the 4 tails would reform?" asked Pein. "Yes. It will reform in a lake just outside of The Mist" Kisame said. "And did you encounter Naruto?" he asked.

Kisame shook his head but the question was more so directed at his partner. It was a moment before he spoke. "Do not underestimate him. He has not lost any of his power." He then vanished from the meeting. "How does he get to leave early?" asked Hidan. "Because he isn't annoying like you" replied Kakuzu.

"What was that?" Hidan asked. "Quiet down you fools. Kisame, you know what to do" Pein said as the shark like man nodded and vanished as well.

Naruto made it back to Konoha the next day and went straight to the Hokage's office. Vanishing, he appeared right in the middle of the office as Hiruzen was having a glaring contest with a stack of paperwork. He sweat dropped.

He cleared his throat and that caught Hiruzens attention. "Ah, Naruto welcome back. I heard the mission was a success" he said. Naruto nodded. "The new Mizukage said that she'll send over a treaty within a few days." "That's good. Care to relay the details as to what transpired?" Hiruzen asked. Naruto then relayed everything that happened, carefully leaving out his rather intimate moments with Mei.

"So you encountered Itachi. What did he want?" "He relayed some rather interesting information. Although he did not mention your name, I'm sure you are well aware of it" Naruto said with an accusing tone. Hiruzen did not reply need to that for Naruto to already know he was correct. Hiruzen sighed. "We will talk later but as of now, we have a council meeting to attend."

Naruto accepted that as the duo left to the council chambers. Minutes later, they entered and all talking suppressed immediately. All eyes turned to the two most powerful people in the village. Naruto took his seat to the left of a certain lazy clan head who didn't even bother to lift his head up when he greeted him.

Clearing his throat, Hiruzen spoke. "Now that Naruto has returned, I would like to discuss the future of Konoha. I will be stepping down once again as I have chosen a successor to Hokage." Naruto had a bad feeling about this. Danzo, not liking what he was hearing chose to change the subject for the time being.

"Ah yes Hokage-Sama, that is well and all but there has been some recent talk regarding Naruto's exploits in The Mist" he said. Naruto did not even spare the man a glance. Hiruzen just chuckled sensing his old teammates disapproval. "Yes, Naruto here was on a long term mission in Kiri to aid the rebellion forces take down Yagura.

He singlehandedly defeated the 4th Mizukage in combat. But thank you for bringing that up Danzo as that pertains to what I was originally discussing. You see, while Naruto was sent out to aid the rebels, it was also a test to see if he was still a capable shinobi." Shikaku realized what he was getting at immediately and widened his eyes.

Hiruzen smiled at that. "Well it seems Shikaku has already figured out my next announcement. Care to share what the rest of the room?" he said. "Hai Hokage-Sama. He's saying that Naruto was sent on the mission to gauge his power level to determine if he was still capable of defending the village against high level threats.

This basically means that Naruto is Hokage-Sama's chosen successor." Naruto gave a look to Hiruzen that made the man flinch. But he chose not to speak at the moment. "If I may, why was Naruto chosen of all people? Jiraiya is a worthy candidate, so is Kakashi?" Danzo asked with a frown.

"It's quite simple Danzo, Naruto has been a loyal shinobi to Konoha for over 40 years. He has more than enough experience along with near unrivaled strength and smarts. I think he is a worthy candidate, wouldn't you all agree?" he said. Mostly everyone in the room agreed with him aside from Danzo and the 2 elders.

"I'm guessing I don't have a say in this matter?" Naruto asked to which nobody responded. Turning to Hiruzen, he spoke. "Give me some time to think over your decision before you go through with it. And as for you" he said looking at Danzo, "I would like to have a little talk with you later."

Danzo nodded but on the inside felt his heart start to race. "If there's nothing else to discuss, I'd like to bring this meeting to a close" Hiruzen said. And with that the room cleared out leaving Naruto and Hiruzen alone. It was a tense moment of silence before Naruto spoke. "Why?" he asked.

"I'm old. And on top of that, you're the perfect person for the job. But there's more to the seat than people know. I have made a lot of mistakes and have a bunch of dirt tied to my name." He pulled out a file and handed it to Naruto. The Uchiha raised an eyebrow in question. "It'll have all of the answers to your questions. I just thought I'd tell you personally before you were to find out in another way."

Naruto opened the file and read it. The more he read, the more the room got hot but then the feeling vanished completely. He took a deep breath before speaking. "I knew my clan were restless but to kill the entire clan when only a select few wanted to revolt?" he said.

"I'm sorry Naruto but it was a split second decision." "Killing innocent kids is not a split second decision. You let that crippled bastard get away with mass genocide, along with the countless other crimes he's committed right under your nose. And do you know he killed my nephew?! Not because he was evil. No Shisui was far more loyal to the village than I ever was. He killed him out of fear. Because he thought that everything he did to us was gonna come back and bite him in the ass" Naruto yelled furiously.

Hiruzen said nothing only putting his head down in shame. "You wanted me to take the hat because you were in deep shit. The day that I came back, I said the village had fallen from grace and I was right. I hope you don't expect me to keep this from Sasuke."

"You can't tell him the truth" Hiruzen said quickly. "And why not?"

"Because that was Itachi's wish." Naruto paused for a moment. 'Wish?' he thought. "That's all he told me Naruto, I'm sorry."

Naruto stared at the aged man for a moment. "I will accept the title under one condition."

"What will that be?" Hiruzen asked. Naruto activated his 3 tamoe sharingan. "Danzo must die" he said.

Naruto stood atop of the First Hokage's head as he gazed over his soon to be responsibility. "I had a feeling you trained me for a reason. Almost as if you foresaw the village falling to depths thought unimaginable."

He chuckled. "I have a lot of work to do if I want to bring the village back to heights it was during your brother's reign. I apologize in advance if I do something you wouldn't approve of but times have changed and people must repent."

"You're already sounding like a true Kage" an amused voice spoke from behind him. Naruto turned his head back slightly in the direction of his guest. "My first order of business should be to ban you from wearing those green monstrosities you call jumpsuits."

"How unyouthful! I know your flames have not diminished since you were last in Konoha!" Gai said. "I'm guessing you had a hand in the old monkey's decision?" he asked. Gai nodded. "I felt as if you needed a change of scenery. You also told me you were unhappy with the way things were ran here, so why not be the man to change it?"

"What do you think your father would say? You know he always told me I'd make a great leader but I never actually believed him. I just thought he was an idiot" Naruto chuckled. "I'm quite sure that my father would have done a very youthful exercise to make sure he could keep his flames of youth up to par with yours."

"Thank you. But I sense there's something else you want to ask me" Naruto said. Gai laughed nervously and Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Spill it." "Kakashi told me about your blindness." Naruto sighed and rubbed his temples. He'd make sure to burn every icha icha book that the silver haired jonin owned.

Turning back to Gai he spoke. "Yes, I'm going blind but I have it covered. I'm already working with the hospital to determine a solution."

"That is pleasant to hear. I would rather not have my youthful friend become a blind Hokage. I will help you and if I cannot, I will do 50 thousand laps around Konoha on my hands!" he said as he sped off down the mountain. Naruto shook his head in amusement. "Never change Gai."

It was the day before the graduation exams and Menma and Sasuke were walking to the Hokage office. Over the last few months they've become friends. Supposedly there was a big announcement to be made that would change the landscape of the village. "Yo Sasuke, what do you think is so important that the entire village has to be notified at once?" Menma asked.

"Beats me, I don't remember the last time this has ever happened" the Uchiha replied. "Did you hear about Broody going to The Mist and defeating the 4th Mizukage?" Menma asked. Sasuke's fists clenched and he grit his teeth. "Yeah, I heard." But inside he was furious. Naruto knew everything and had all of the power to teach him but he did not take him seriously.

"Maybe after you become a genin, he'll train you in the good stuff" Menma offered. Sasuke scoffed. "I don't need him anymore. I will get strong on my own" he said. Menma was about to reply but they reached the tower. It was a sea of bodies and everyone was talking trying to figure out as to why they were called.

Seeing a few of his friends we walked up to them. "Hey Shika, you know why everybody was called to the office?" Shikamaru sighed and shook his head. "My dad wouldn't tell me and I thought about skipping the meeting to sleep in but my mom forced me to come. Troublesome woman" he said.

Menma snickered. "Shikamaru I don't think you'd show up to your own funeral" Chouji said. He just shrugged as they turned their attention to the tower.

On the top of the tower stood Hiruzen with a proud smile on his face. He dawned the signature Hokage robes. Flaring his chakra, everyone went silent. He cleared his throat and spoke. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice. Today is a day that will reshape Konoha for the future.

As all of you know, I'm old and my previous successor was slain over 13 years ago. I have decided to step down once again with hope that my next successor will bring The Leaf to new heights once more."

Everyone waited in anticipation and gasped when they saw the man clad in black armor. The kids all had different reactions. Sasuke stood with his mouth hung open. Shikamaru simply raised an eyebrow in surprise, Chouji continued eating his chips albeit a bit slower but Menma's eyes widened. "No way" he muttered.

Naruto stood proud as he gazed over the sea of people. He noticed a few people in particular and was amused by their expressions. Kakashi still had that stupid book in his hand but gave him an eye smile. Gai was, well crying along with Lee.

Menma and Sasuke looked as if they saw Kami himself. There were a few looks of disapproval, most notably from the 2 elders and Danzo but he payed them no mind. Flaring his chakra, the tiles under him cracked. Everyone fell silent at the massive release of chakra.

"People of Konoha, as you know I am the chosen successor to Lord-Hiruzen but I would still like to formally introduce myself. To the older generation, you know me all too well. I've fought alongside many of you in wars, shared moments with many of you as well. To the younger generation, my name is Naruto Uchiha. I am the son of Madara Uchiha and student of Hashirama Senju.

I was born in the village shortly after it was constructed so I've seen it grow up to heights thought unreachable and I've seen it at it's lowest of lows. I never thought I'd see the day that an Uchiha would become Hokage, much less myself but I can promise you that I will do my best and won't let any of you down. Adults, teach the children the will of fire, children grow stronger to protect the village as the shinobi do right now.

Each and every one of you are a pivotal part of the village. We are currently at peace but that does not mean we will slack off in training. We will restore the village to grace and we will strive to protect each other.

I have never lead a village before, hell I don't even like going to council meetings. I'm not perfect and I will never claim to be but if you could all just bear with me and help me along the way, I promise that you're hard work will pay off." He then gazed at Sasuke and looked him right in the eyes. "All of you have dreams, some of you want to be Hokage, some of you want to be medics, some of you just want to be strong and some of you just want to be acknowledged.

I will see that each and every dream comes true. It is my job as Hokage to ensure that. I will leave you with this. You must be the change you wish to see in this world. Become the type of leader that people would follow voluntarily, even if you had no title or position."

He then placed the Hokage hat on and took a step and leaned over the balcony. "To Konoha!" he roared. Cheers and applauds rang throughout the village. He gazed back at Hiruzen who had a proud smile on his face. 'I will not let you down sensei' he thought.

In a small town in the land of fire a blonde haired woman sat at a bar. She had honey brown eyes and a sizable chest that made her the eye of desire for many men and woman. She just seemed to be drinking her life away as she was oblivious to her surroundings. A black haired woman with a pig in her arms entered the bar and saw her and sighed. "Lady Tsunade, we need to get you back to the hotel. It's late" she said.

Tsunade looked at her long time apprentice and shrugged her off and continued to down drinks. "Hey did you hear that Konoha elected a new Hokage?" a man beside them asked. Both women heard the question and chose to voice their curiosity. "New Hokage huh? Who's the unlucky bastard that got sentenced?" Tsunade asked, taking a sip of alcohol.

"Naruto Uchiha" the man said. The sound of glass shattering was heard. They looked to Tsunade and found the glass that was once in her hand, was no longer there. She sat with her mouth agape as her eyes widened considerably. She got up quickly and walked out of the bar. Shizune apologized to the bartender for the broken glass and followed her mentor shortly after.

Catching up with the busty Sannin, she spoke. "Lady Tsunade is there something wrong?" "Yes, there's no way in hell they chose that bastard to become Hokage. Even if I think the position is a curse, I will not allow someone like him to lead the village" she said. "What are you trying to say?" Shizune asked a little frantically. She turned to her apprentice and snarled.

"We are going back to Konoha."
