Hello my followers, I want to say how sorry I am. I've been a writer's block yet again. It's no fun. I can tell you that much. As such I had to do something else to pass the time. I've read an article that jigsaw puzzles helps. My jigsaw puzzle was a 3,000 set and it took me about three weeks and that's the longest. Otherwise, it gave me enough time to come up with this chapter. Hope you enjoy this.

Chapter 24
As soon as Riku begin putting each time of each of the player's number, Moroha couldn't help but get more excited about it. Kagome can be certain that Moroha has a knack of puzzle solving. Even a jigsaw puzzle with a high number of pieces wouldn't be a problem.
"Jeez daddy, you never got to move your player across the board." Moroha points out after a few times that Inuyasha's character didn't move a single space for the fourth time. Inuyasha groans. "I don't know why I can't move my piece. Maybe I'm the bad guy." He playfully taunts back. Kagome wasn't any different either. Her piece hasn't moved either. So far it's just been Moroha's.
As the time went by, Moroha's stomach begins to rumble. "Looks like Kiddo is hungry. Do you want to pause the game and have dinner?" Inuyasha asks her. Moroha nods. "I'm starving." Kagome smiles and decides to order pizza instead of cooking because solving this case is way more than cooking.
After an hour of dinner, Moroha's eyes has begun to droop. "But…I…need…to….know…who…the…bad…guy…is." Moroha slowly speaks as she tries to stay awake. Inuyasha picks her up into his arms. "You're getting tired because you didn't have your nap today. But I promise that tomorrow we'll finish the game ok." He assures her as her helps her getting into her pink pajamas, pulling the bow untied, Moroha's long inky black hair falls free. "Daddy…" Moroha murmurs to him. "What?" Moroha closes her eyes but still turns her face towards to him. "Do you think this game will help you and mommy find the real bad guy?"
Inuyasha strokes her head. "It's hard to do that. Whenever your mom and I work on a case, we think of it as game, but we have to be careful because there's no telling what the opponent will do to make it much harder for me or mom to win." Moroha nods and falls asleep. 'Sweet dreams, Moroha.' He kisses her temple and leaves the door open for the hallway light to dim inside.
"The game has taking her out like a light." Inuyasha comments as he sees Kagome finishing up putting the dishes away from dinner. "Honestly. The moment she doesn't nap, she'll try to stay up and help us out." Kagome sighs. Inuyasha notices it and wraps his arms around her from behind. "You know how Moroha is. She really wants to help us. I can't let her know the truth about this game. As a matter of fact…" He kisses her on the forehead.
"…we're almost done with the game." He whispers to her. Kagome can see that it turns out that Moroha's the bad guy because her piece was the one that was the murderer in their case. "So we know who it was that was called 'The Purifier'."
Kagome nods. "Yes, and we have to interrogate that person as soon…as…possible." She is sinking fast. Inuyasha chuckles. "Looks like Moroha's not the only one who's tired." He carries her to their bedroom. "Shut up and put me to bed, Inuyasha." Kagome said in annoyance, thus made it funnier for him. "Gladly."
The next morning, Kagome took Moroha to her mother's because she and Inuyasha had to continue their mission at the school. She finds her husband coming out of his car. She parks next to him. "Is Moroha with your mom?" He asks her obviously. Kagome nods as she gets her messenger bag out. "She is gonna try to teach her how we played our little game last night." She giggles.
Inuyasha smiles back and they enter the building. As such they both get to their respective classrooms. Nothing out of the ordinary, same old routine, the cameras are still in the rooms, which surprised Kagome the most, but she remained composted so that her students wouldn't get suspicious. It was the lunch hour, so they went to the teacher's lounge. AS soon as they entered the room, only one person is missing. "Hey, where's Misaki?" Inuyasha asks Kagome casually. They don't want to get the teachers curious about their covers. Kagome sees the principal, Ms. Yamoti walking by. "Excuse me." She runs up to her.
"What's the matter, Mrs. Aino?" The principal asks as she can see that Kagome is worried about something.
"Has Misako arrived today?" Kagome asks her calmly. The principal takes second. "As a matter of fact, I haven't. She didn't call to inform me that she wasn't going to be teaching today." The principal points out. "I know we're not allowed to use our phones during the school hours but it's important." Kagome said Ms. Yamoti.
"I'll let it slide. Try to see if you could get a hold of her." Ms. Yamoti permits the request. Inuyasha doesn't waste a moment and gets to his laptop to use the software to pinpoint where Misako is. Kagome calls the number to see if she's going to get a hold of her.
'Thank you for calling Misako…' Kagome sighs, "No answer." She said to her principal. "I wasn't able to get a hold of her either. I wonder what she's up to?" The principal adds curiously.
"Mrs. Aino, I'm sorry I wasn't much help. But there's something going on with her." Ms. Yamoti said to her. "What?" Kagome turns her quickly.
"Somehow, her car is here, but she's not in the building." Ms. Yamoti said to her. "Do you have camera's around the outside of the building?" Kagome asks her. Ms. Yamoti gets to her phone and looks through the camera's footage to see the spots where Misako would park her car. From time-to-time Misako's car is there but no one is in the vehicle. Even since the last time she was here at the school, she drove it back home. "Do you think it's a decoy?" Kagome asks the woman.
"No. Misako is usually responsible for her car like it's her prized possession. She would make she had the vehicle locked at all times. I'm surprised that she's letting someone else take it."
Inuyasha heard that conversation loud and clear through his disguised and uses a different software to see rather or not the car in the parking lot is really Misako's car. He knows how to track a person's vehicle via through the security system since newer vehicles have been equipped with the latest technology for even the police to track them by the license plate and the owner's DNA on the vehicle.
"Kagome, I might know where Misako is." Inuyasha spoke to them, but is shocked. Kagome and Ms. Yamoti come into the lounge to see Inuyasha turn his laptop to show them. "What's going on here?" Ms. Yamoti asks with quiet seriousness in her voice.
"Ms. Yamoti, I'm Kagome Higurashi and he's Inuyasha Takahashi. we're agents undercover as teachers with fake names to track down the terrorist who targeted your former teachers." Inuyasha shows his agent badge, as well as Kagome's. Ms. Yamoti didn't see this coming. "Okay does anyone else knows about this?" She questions them.
"No, just you and you mustn't speak a word about this to anyone." Inuyasha said to her adamantly.
Ms. Yamoti widens her eyes. "The Higurashi Shrine? Why is she there?"
"We believe it's because Misako was the mastermind who orchestrated this attack. Besides, we have evidence pointing out the scheme. She had a few associates to carry out the attack." Inuyasha explains to her as calmly as possible.
Soon enough, Kagome's cell phone vibrates. "It's mom." She presses answer.
"Mom? What's going on?" She asks her mother.
"Mommy!" It was Moroha's voice that was screaming on the other line. "Baby. Oh Hold on. Go hide somewhere safe and don't come until I get there." Kagome tells her daughter seriously. "Inuyasha, check on the security system at the shrine. I'm going." Kagome gathers her belonging and quickly leaves the teacher's lounge.
"What exactly is going on here, Agent Takahashi." Ms. Yamato asks the man as he gathers his stuff. "It's classified. We cannot expose sensitive material." Inuyasha said to her as he follows Kagome to the shrine.
Kagome gets into her an drives as quickly as she could until she gets to the shrine. 'How? How come we didn't get a notification about the security system?' she thinks frantically. It doesn't take long to get to the shrine. Ignoring anything else, she runs up the shrine stairs until she sees someone familiar.
"Ah, so that took you about four minutes to get here." It was Misako.
"Misako. What are you doing here?" Kagome asks as she cautiously watches the other woman from across the yard. "Oh, I just came here send a pray and make sure that what I heard about you was true." Misako responds casually.
Kagome can tell that Misako is close to the house. "Don't move." Kagome orders as she pulls out a taser. Misako looks at it. "I thought that you would have a gun but with the laws, it's forbidden." She remarks at the scene.
"Kagome. Are you at the shrine?" Inuyasha asks her through her earpiece.
"Yes and so is Misako. We're outside. Lock my house." Kagome responds back to him.
Inuyasha in in his care and looks through the security footage of the shrine and can see that Kagome and Misako are indeed on the shrine grounds. He looks through the cameras inside and was able to see Moroha hiding under the bed upstairs. He made sure to lock the doors from his phone since he has access to the place.
"House is locked up. Moroha is hiding under the bed. Your mother, and grandpa are hiding somewhere else." Inuyasha informs Kagome.
"What is it that you're really after, Misako." Kagome asks the woman.
Misako looks around the shrine. "I've been told that shrines are supposed to be sacred, pure, and cleansed. But among that is a being that is not really supposed to be here, let alone exist." She said to Kagome.
'She's talking about Moroha.' Kagome thinks to herself.
"When I heard about this, I knew I had to do something, but not to be involved. This isn't the first time. Back when I heard about the two teachers had an affair, I knew that they were bother married and it shows how unfaithful that is to the both of them."
Kagome narrows her eyes. "But you didn't want to be suspected. You had to find someone else to do the dirty work so that you wouldn't get your hands dirty."
Misako chuckles. "Exactly. I knew if anything with DNA would be left behind, I'd be caught. So that's why when it comes to make sure you don't leave any fingerprints, you were gloves to do the trick."
"What about the girl who came to see me? After class?"
"Oh, her. Well actually she's part of my game." Misako responded coldly.
"What game?" Kagome questioned.
"It's simple. Anybody can play this game if they know how to do it. Chess basically, you find your pawns and make sure you're in the safest spot on the board." Misako spoke out of humor.
"Just get to the point why you're really here. You're not really after me or Toga." Kagome shouts to her.
"I had suspicions about you. Of all things, you used to live here as well. As such you might've been a priestess at some point." Misako points.
"I was told about that, but I didn't want to be one." Kagome said back to her truthfully.
"On the contrary, you could've done so much for this place. But something came into the picture and you fell in love with a being that is too much to bear."
'Kagome, don't let her provoke you. I'm right behind down the hill.' Inuyasha assures her smoothly.
"When I heard that they had a child, I had to see it for myself and it was confirmed that it was true." Misako continues on taunting Kagome.
"And now, I know where she is. She's inside that house. I even know a certain item that is to suppress her demonic powers." Misako grins wickedly.
"But how is it that you know about that?" Kagome asks in confusion.
"I have the kid to thank for being a spy and keep a close eye on your life." Misako answers. "Go." She shouts to someone.
Kagome is about to run towards the house to get to her daughter, but she hears screaming from Moroha's voice.
"NO MOROHA!" Kagome shouts in desperation.
