On April 18th, Melony walked to Oakley Academy. She was still attending this school for some reason and she was showered with cheers.
Soon, people screamed louder, seeing Remy walking in with Stephen.
"So, is it true that you're making your grand return to ANH?" A fan asked.
"Yes!" Remy says as fans cheered.
Luke frowned. He was jealous of the cheers that Melony was getting, but knew he shouldn't have listened to Lola.
At lunch, Melony was eating by herself when other students wanted her to join them. Usually, they would tease her for being blind.
Luke sadly ate by himself. He now knew how it felt to be shamed. Shane sat by himself, too. His family had made the decision to move back to Petoskey Falls once school ended for the summer.
"Are you sure you have to leave?" Luke asked.
"I don't know. But if things don't get better, I may not have a say in it." Shane says.
Later Garrett was feeding Melony.
"Tryouts for the end of the year play are next week, Remy." Lonnie says. Remy smiled, glad to be able to do something before the year ended.
"And you're almost 18!" Melony says.
Some kids heard Shane could possibly be moving.
"Probably because of his cousins. They are pretty selfish." one student says.
"You didn't hear what really happened, did you?" Another student says.
"That blonde princess brat sibling made them spend that money on her, when all the others were going to do the right thing!" A 3rd sibling says. "That sibling died via the electric chair."
"So, Shane is innocent?" A girl asked.
"Yes!" Another girl says.
The group squealed with excitement.
With Lucy, she listened to Haiku planning her date, happy as a goth could be. She was ecstatic to be going out on dates with Remy again.
Penny sighed as tomorrow was her birthday. She noticed kids talking about Luke's half birthday now that it was back on for June.
After school, Savannah was baking a cake for Remy.
Luke was walking home as Shane was swarmed by girls. He frowned with jealousy as he saw the cosmic buddies on the news.
He wished he could've said no to Lola when she told him not to use the money on Remy. Then everyone would like him again. They started liking Shane again once they learned the truth.
Lucy felt bad for him. She was showered with praise, same for Penny. Shane was showered with praise after he found out the truth.
Dinner at the manor that night was a tense affair. Luke was glaring at Lucy as Kat and Ana were playing with their food.
"This isn't fair! Why am I not getting praise anymore?!" Luke asked.
"I'm sure you'll get it soon." Lucy says. That didn't make Luke feel better.
There were cheers all around at dessert time when they heard Shane won Student Of The Month for April at Oakley Academy.
Luke was seething as Shane was smiling. To be fair, Luke won in January and February, and Penny won in March, so now it was Shane's turn to shine.
"Way to go, son!" Lance says.
"We're so proud of you, baby!" Sharon says as she hugged Shane.
Luke just went up to his room, skipping dessert.
The dessert was Shane's favorite, s'mores pudding cake topped with Golden Grahams cereal. Shane grinned and took the biggest piece, savoring every bite as he ate it.
"You did great, son." Lance says. "Tomorrow we're throwing a big party for you."
"Oh, you guys don't have to…" Shane says.
"Student Of The Month is a big deal in our house." Lincoln says.
"Well, sure. I'd like a party." Shane says.
Lucy brought Luke some dessert. Luke sadly ate it as she holds him.
"I'll never be adored again…" Luke sniffed.
"Yes, you will." Lucy says.
"No, I won't…" Luke says.
Meanwhile, Mario was running and gave Victoria an extra vial just in case Remy got sick again. He then goes to the pipe and takes his leave.
Victoria smiled. She was happy her son was okay.
