Chapter 2

Naruto, Shikamaru, and Ino walk up to the roof being flanked by their new sensei's. Once up there they move towards the ledge of the roof taking a seat before their sensei's as the boys sat on either side of Ino. Making sure she is protected from both her sides.

This did not go unmissed by the two season shinobi standing before them. For how the three freshly minted Genin are behaving like seasoned veterans of war. This couldn't be…well maybe for Naruto as he has been through more hell than some of the Jonin inside this village as the life of Jinchuriki isn't one of the best. They are normally treated like their lives mean nothing. That they are just the tail beast that they have sealed within them.

"Alright brats. You are now Team 10. Normally we have a test to see if you would make it as a team. What we had learnt about what had happened last night. You three have already proven that you work well like a well oiled team. So we will not be worrying about that.

"So what are you going to have us do Ibiki-sensei? Asuma-sensei?" Questions Naruto with a glint in his eyes. Something that puts both Jonin on edge for this boy before them both is hiding something. Taking a glance at the other two sitting with the blonde. They also noticed the same look in their own eyes. Something they will need to look into.

Ibiki's mind came to a halt. 'We never had been able to know what the boy had ever been up to. Since he was about 5 years old he had always slipped their sight. I will need to know what these kids are thinking.' Clearing his throat as the three teenages look over at him. "We will take one month before we begin taking missions in the village. I will be leaving Asuma in charge of those D-rank missions." He tells them.

Asuma shakes his head at the T&I Jonin's antics. "Yeah. I'll take care of that part. As well I do not know how the civilians will react to him standing in their yards or houses while you work." He tells them all.

Naruto frowns at this. "I do not want to do D-Ranks Missions. For I will not be their chore boy. For I already know I will be attacked while your back is turned. I would rather train until you deem us ready for our first C-rank mission." He tells them. HIs frown deepens. "There is one problem….I need money to pay my rent….For I got a note the day before yesterday that my rent will be going up once more." He tells them as he is frowning.

Ibiki and Asuma share a look. "What do you mean your rent went up once more?" Questions Ibiki looking down at the boy before him.

"Well…..After Jiji pays my rent the landlord comes to my apartment and collects another 300 from me. Last month I had to give him an extra 500." Said Naruto letting his head drop down.

"He comes and does work for my parents after school. My parents pay him well." Said Ino as she shakes her head.

"He also comes and does odd jobs for my family and clan." Add Shikamaru.

"Well…I will need to take care of this." Said Ibiki.

Naruto frowns. "If you do that. I will be kicked out and have nowhere to live." He tells the man.

"We will have a better home for you. So let's go pack you up and take you somewhere else to live." Said Ibiki and Asuma nod his head in agreement.

"He could stay with me." Said Shikamaru with a frown. "Mom wouldn't mind and this way she will be at ease if he is eating or not and not always eating ramen." He tells their sensei's as Naruto frowns at the ramen crack.

Ibiki grunts and nods his head. "Fine." He tells them.

With that they leave the Academy and head to Naruto's run down apartment building.

After a couple of hours with Naruto's apartment packed up with the aid of an army of shadow clones and with Ibiki vanishing for almost an hour.

Nara Clan Compound

Yoshino Nara stands on the porch of her house. She has a worried look on her face as she sees her son and his friends walking towards her house with two other men with them. "What is going on?" She demands from the two men as she is staring down Ibiki. Asuma takes a step away from the man.

"Naruto has been moved out of his apartment for unfair treatment." Said Ibiki matching Yoshino's glare.

"Oh Naruto. You have known for a long time this is your home. All you needed to do was bring your stuff and take one of the free rooms." Said Yoshino as she moves down the steps and wraps her arms around Naruto pulling him into a hug.

Something happened. Something that hadn't happened in a very long time. He broke down crying. Crying heavy and hard. Letting out everything he has built up. From this life and in the past life.

Ibiki and looks at Asuma once more. 'I need to look into all the reports that have Naruto's name in it.' Thought Ibiki.

"I'll go and let my father know our team has passed and that Naruto has moved in with Shikamaru, and his parents. As well as the investigations with Naruto's former landlord." Said Asuma as he vanishes in a swirl of leaves.

Hearing something going on outside of his house. Shikaku Nara comes walking out the front door. "What is going on?" He questions looking at his son and Ibiki.

"Naruto is moving in with dad." Said Shikamaru.

"Alright." Said Shikaku as he walks down to his wife and Naruto placing a hand on the boy's head. As he lets out more tears.

Ino has tears slowly rolling down her cheeks as she watches her best friend and secret crush cry out his heart and soul. Her hand moving towards her heart.

Shikamaru lets out a sigh. Knowing it is best to let the blonde cry out his heart and soul.

Hokage Tower

Asuma appears before his father and the other Jonin sensei's. He arches a brow at this.

Sarutobi smiles at his son and the others in his office. "So tell me your thoughts on your students." Tell them.

The other sensei's gave their reports leaving only Kurenai, Kakashi, and himself.

"Alright you three." Said Sarutobi with a smile on his face. As he had taken his notes on the other teams and had thoughts of the other teams.

Kakashi steps forth. "Well….Sakura is a fangirl and if I do pass my team. I will need the help of a female Jonin or Chunin to aid in breaking her of that habit. As I am not sure if she will even listen to me. Sasuke….He will be a handful. As he has an ego…..One that makes me worry. As for Kiba. He is willing to work with his teammates as well as learn anything I am able to teach him." He told the Hokage. As he steps back with the others.

Sarutobi nods his head and writes something down.

Kurenai takes a step forward. "I have no issues with my team. They get along well and I am hopeful they will pass tomorrow's test." She tells the Hokage as she takes a step back with the others.

Asuma steps forth. "Team 10 has already been passed as they have already proven they are able to work together. As well Naruto has been moved into Shikamaru's home." He adds looking at his father.

"When will they be taking on D-rank missions?" Questions Sarutobi with a smile on his face.

"They do not want to take on D-ranks. They wish to train until we believe they are ready for their first C-ranks mission. As Naruto had brought up a point that we believe will happen to him and his teammates." Said Asuma as he blew out some smoke from his nose.

"What would that be?" Questions Sarutobi watching his son's every movement.

"That he will be attacked and or be mistreated by the civilians that want our Genin to do their household chores. As well he also fears if they are unable to hurt him. They will take it out on his teammates." Said Asuma as his black eyes hardened at this thought.

Sarutobi nods his head as he writes something down. "That is fine. As well, will you explain to me why Naruto will be leaving with his teammate?" He now questions Asuma about.

Before Asuma could speak Ibiki appeared in the office with a growl. "For the landlord has been taking the payment that is given to the orphans living on their own and then goes to Naruto and takes more money from him. Getting double and triple the amount the rent for that shithole is worth." Growls out Ibiki. "With what the boy has paid. He should own the man's three apartment buildings. As he would come once a week asking for more rent money from the boy. To the point Naruto had been taking odd jobs from people who would pay him and not treat him like shit." He tells the Hokage.

Sarutobi's eyes harden. "I want all the deeds of the man's builds to be placed into Naruto's name. As well I want several Genin teams to go and do repairs of the apartment building. What they are unable to do. Have them write me a list." He orders his aid sitting next to him.

Iruka nods his head and gets to work on what his Hokage has requested of him.
