The next day in school Kurt or someone else from the New Directions helps Blaine find his way to class until Kurt shows him the school during half of their lunch break.
After school Kurt and Blaine go out and Kurt shows his best friend Lima and all of the places that are important or cool. The park where they like to hang out in summer, Breadstix and everythign until they end up in Lima Bean for a coffee again.
In the early evening the friends go to Kurts place to do some homework before dinner is ready and Pam and Angela arrive. Kurt introduces Blaine to Carol and Burt for the first time for real. He isn't just a boy from a letter that he got about five years ago anymore. He's standing next to Kurt, shaking the adults hands and saying hello before they take their stuff and go to Kurts room to do homework.
Kurt puts on some music and they silently work on their homework. Now and then Burt comes upstairs to check if the door is still open or as he likes to say "Do you need anything? Somethgin to drink or anything?". Once done with their homework and still with some time left until dinner the two friends get comfortable and talk about everything anf nothing. Even tho they write letters forth and back there's still so much to catch up on.
When dinner is ready and Pam and Angela are there they all sit down together and eat. Carol asks Pam if she likes what she saw from Lima and everyone gets to know everyone. Besides Blaine and Kurt who from time to time answer questions or ask some but keep talking about whatever they like. They know each other like no one else does.
As the time passes the Anderson-Bells and the Hudson-Hummels get closer really fast. They also decide to celebrate the Andersons first christmas in Lima together. But until it's time for christmas everyone is busy with other stuff.
The New Directions have to prepare for Regionals after the christmas holidays and of course before christmas there is a phase of let's have the students write exams and study instead of getting into the christmas spirit. Yep. School's fun. Blaine studied like crazy. He doesn't want to screw up the first exams on his new school. Anxiously he waits for the results. First exams at a new school and also the first time without having to worry about his fahters reactions. Kurt told him that he'll get anyways because he always does but he also supported Blaine when he was nervous.
"A's" Blaine greets his best friend at his locker before lunch break. "Hello to you too" Kurt laughs . "Hello. I got A's" Blaine says with a big smile on his lips. Kurt smiles too "See. I told you it'll be alright" and hugs the curly haired boy happily. "I'm glad you're adjusting so well. Lima and this school can be a little extra sometimes but you seem to fit right in" Kurt mentions while they walk in direction of the cafeteria. Blaine only has been here for less than two months. "Well you helped and made it very easy for me. You and your friends" Blaine answers and looks at their table where all the New Direction members already sit, eat and talk.
Finding a christmas gift for each other was hard but Kurt and Blaine both ended up getting the other something good. Something they are satisfied with. Now the other one has to like it. Their first christmas not sending a letter and a gift over but actually celebrating togehter.
At 5 everyone is at the Hudson-Hummel house. Blaine is sure his jaw dropped when Kurt opened the door. He wears a tight pair of jeans and a simple but stylish shirt and a matching neckerchif to finish the outfit. It's so Kurt but he looks so good in it. So handsome. Kurt thinks the same when he sees Blaine. Black jeans, white shirt to keep it simple. But with that he wears the bowtie that Kurt designed for him. Blaine has them and he wears them and Kurt could cry because that fact makes him so happy.
"You- You're wearing my bowtie" Kurt says and it's a wonder that he isn't completely speechless. "I do. It's one of my favorites. Now do you want to let us in or do we spend christmas outside in the cold?" Blaine laughs. "Oh right. Come in. I don't want one of you to get a cold. Carol is in the kitchen preparing dinner and Burt and Finn watch a game in the living room" Kurt tells while he lets the others in and hugs Blaine once he's out of his cold jacket "Do you want us to watch the game with Finn and dad?".
Angela and Pam go in the kitchen to help Carol cook. Blaine is torn in two. It's a nice game to watch but he wants to spend time with Kurt who doesn't like sports or watching others do it. Finally Blaine shakes his head "No. Maybe but you don't so no". "You can if you want. I'll grab my Vogue and sit down too" Kurt says. He doesn't want Blaine to miss the game if he wants to watch it.
They sit down next to each other and after only a few seconds of staring at the screen Kurt takes his Vogue. How can others watch that and even find it interesting? Blaine watched him and laughs when Kurt gives up and takes his Vogue. For a second longer he looks at the chestnut haired boy before turning to the tv again.
