Knuckles Loves Peach
Chapter 3: Jealousy or acceptance
Hours after Mario's failed attempt at Winning Peach back, they thought of plan B. Jealousy. Earlier Sonic and the others were hoping if Rouge could pretend to date Mario. But would she agree?
"I'm not doing this." said Rouge.
"Come on Rouge, it's only for this task. Besides I know you like Knuckles." said Sonic.
"True but I don't think he likes me." said Rouge.
"At least try to make Knuckles and Peach jealous, do you want Mario to be miserable for the rest of his life?" asked Tails.
"No but-" said Rouge.
"It's just one time, please, if not for Mario, then for me." said Shadow even though he and Rouge are just business partners.
"Fine, I'll do it." said Rouge.
"Thank you, you won't regret it." said Mario.
"Maybe whatever jewels you have at your disposal would be enough payment for me whether we succeed or fail." said Rouge.
"Good enough." said Mario.
"Ok with that out of the way, let's move." said Sonic.
At the Mushroom Kingdom Cafe, Mario and Rouge were in position near Knuckles and Peach.
"Remember our deal, pass or fail, I want all jewels from you." said Rouge.
"What's your deal with jewels, what are you trying to get an investment or something?" asked Mario.
"I love jewels ok." said Rouge.
"Ok." said Mario.
"Let's just do this already." said Rouge.
"OK, anxious are we?" asked Mario.
Mario and Rouge sat on a table near Knuckles and Peach.
"This is a nice place Princess." said Knuckles.
"Glad you like it." said Peach.
"Mario, I'm so glad you decided to take me out on a date." Rouge said in sarcasm.
"Pleasure's all mine, it's a place I go to in order to get good food." Mario said in sarcasm.
"Oh Knuckles and Peach, what a surprise." said Rouge.
"Mario….and Rouge, you're dating now?" asked Knuckles
Unknown to Mario and Rouge, Knuckles was actually jealous but he was pretending not to be.
"I guess if you put it that way." said Mario.
Rouge then steps on Mario's leg.
"Ain't that a surprise. Looks like we've both moved on, you're with Rouge and I'm with Knuckles." said Peach.
"Wait, you're not jealous." said Mario.
"No." said Peach. Little does she know, Knuckles is jealous.
"Come on Rouge, let's go." said Mario.
"Right." said Rouge as she and Mario left.
Knuckles was completely jealous.
