Chapter 1
She picks up the boys and drives to school. When they get there she sees JJ drinking "hey chill out JJ"
"if I blackout don't remind me"
"it's not funny" she grabs his hand and walks into the school Pope comes up behind them and walks side buy side with the couple.
Everyone is whispering about them. Then they see it. A grave of some sorts for John B.
"I feel like people are staring at us" Kiara says and JJ's grip tightens comfortingly,
"guys I can't be late" Pope says and begins to walk away,
Kiara runs after him dragging JJ with her, "hey we gotta stick together" she loops her arm through his and they walk in together.
Kiara, JJ, and Pope are in class when all of their phones ding. Kiara and JJ check their phone, unknown number.
"Did you get it?" She whispers to Pope
"yeah" she looks at JJ and he sneaks well sneaks the best way JJ can over to them. They all look at the message and it's a picture of, Sarah and John B…
They all look at each other having a silent conversation when JJ just gets up and leaves, Kiara gets up next saying "family emergency" and Pope tries a lame bathroom excuse.
They all meet in the hallway and start running.
"We can go to the courtyard"
"yeah" JJ trips over a mop bucket,
"baby" she helps him up and he says
"I'm fine".
They run into the courtyard and Kiara says "I mean is that even possible I mean Shoupe said that they didn't make it. He said that"
Pope says "ok I think that we are overreacting right now because we can't rule out the possibility that this could all be some kind of weird cruel prank"
they all sit down and Kiara says "I'm just gonna ask"
"what if it's actually him though" JJ says. She texts
"WTF!?! Is this you?"
The dots appear and then the response
"is JJ there?"
JJ responds "yeah I'm here Bree"
a response immediately "did you pimp my short board?"
JJ smiles and Kiara laughs "
"it's him" JJ says. He goes over and hugs Pope then Hugs Kiara kissing her when he pulls away,
"yeah" JJ screams, another text comes in
"laying super low in Nassau"
"how the hell did they get to the Bahamas" Kiara asks
either boy has a response but JJ says "you can't kill a pogue"
another text "can you clear my name? Wanna come home."
"Hell ya we will clear your name boy" JJ says and one last text
"be in touch P4L" they all smile
"P4L man. That's what I'm talking about. P4L BABY! WOO!" JJ says. Kiara stands up and touches his arm as a way to say take a breath. They all hug crying happy tears.
"So are we going to the Bahamas or what?" JJ asks slinging his arm over Kiara,
"dude there's no way we are getting to the Bahamas" Pope says
"John B is gonna get nabbed sooner or later so if we are gonna clear his name we need to have done it like yesterday" Kiara says leaning into JJ a bit,
"I'll tell you how we do it" Kiara sighs thinking 'here we go'
"oh so you have it all planned out?" Pope asks
"as a matter of fact I do. We kidnap Rafe"
"I'm sorry what?" Pope says
"we kidnap Rafe tie him up and stick the gun in his mouth and just wait till he starts squawking"
Kiara looks up at him and says "you know torture is a war crime"
"I thought it was a good idea" JJ says
Pope says "yeah so how exactly are we gonna clear John B's name in prison"
"alright well what do you got Pope" JJ asks
"guys all we need is a material witness, we saw wards plane fly right over our heads but ward was on the tarmac. Whoever flew the plane was on the tarmac and saw Peterkin h
Get murdered we just need to find out who that is and get him to confess"
Pope says
"how do we do that?" Kiara asks

JJ smiles and says "a little ghost recon"
"woogity woogity?" Pope asks and they both respond "Woogity woogity"
As Pope was going into the backyard to plant the air pod JJ asks Kiara

she turns and looks at him disgusted "what"
"I'm just spitballing"
"we don't need to spitball we can just sit in silence"
after a moment of silence he says "so on a scale of one to ten"
"oh your still asking"
"who would be better in bed JB or Pope"

before they could say anything else Pope comes back in saying "ok! Phase one is complete" then he looks around and see their faces and "everything all good?" He asks them
"yep" Kiara says popping the P.
After Shoupe tells them to go home.
They are driving home. "JJ?"
"Yeah Kie"
"I'm sorry for stepping on your hand" he smiles
"It's okay. Didn't hurt too bad" he says and she smiles at him
"can I spend the night at the Chateau?" She asks him
"always" he says smiling. Both not seeing Pope clenching his jaw.
"This is the north drain. It should have gotten washed up in the gully. So if it got washed out from this drain it would be like"
"somewhere in this trash" Pope says
"correct" JJ says
Kiara sighs saying "oh my god, people who use plastic should be shot"
JJ chooses the dangerous route with teasing her "ok personally. I love plastic, use it everyday. Love the stuff"
she glares at him and says "and that is the number one way not to get laid"
Pope snorts "it's good I brought trash bags"
"thank you Pope a man who listens to me" "
"I listen to you!"
"When?"
"Last night when you wanted to watch a movie. And when I didn't go surfing to pick you up from the wreck, shall I continue"
"alright you made your point" he smiles and she kisses his cheek.
They look through the trash and find nothing so Pope says "if it's not in the trash then it's gotta be somewhere in the storm drain."
"Great it's in the drain" JJ says
"damn it" Pope says
"of course it is" Kiara says.
"Good thing I brought the crow" JJ says grabbing a crowbar,
"so are we gonna play like rock paper scissors"

"nah. On three Pope, one, two, three" they pull the gate open.
"In the sewer there's like this worm that you get down there gets into your blood then has to come out your pecker. So uh.. that would be a hard pass for me"
"yeah that's Gonna be a no from me too" Pope says
"no I get it you guys are scared" Kiara says smiling

"it's kinda cute" they protest but she continues "you should have just led with that. You don't haft to be scared I'll do it"
"one last kiss before you're covered in grey water" JJ says and kisses her and she laughs.
"Be carful" Pope says
"I'm always carful" she says going into the drain.
"Just holler if you need anything. We will uh holler back" JJ says
"very helpful thank you" Kiara says.
As they wait for Kiara Pope asks JJ "so how are things with Kie?"
"Good. Other than the fact her parents definitely hate me"
Pope nods "well they are Kooks"
"yeah"
"what's wrong?" Pope asks
"just can't help thinking that they are right. That she will move on and find someone better" he says
"hey JJ look at me." He looks up at Pope,
"I know I haven't been the most supportive of this but that's just cause I'm still getting over her. But you guys are perfect for each other and she loves you. I've never seen her smile like she does when she's with you. When she's nervous and you put a hand on her shoulder her entire body relaxes. And plus there's no one better than you." Pope reassures his friend
"thank you"
"anytime bro"
"guys I think I found something" they hear Kiara
"wait you got it?" JJ asks,
"is it the gun?" Pope asks
"JJ JJ! There's something dead in here" JJ hears the panic in her voice and begins to turn into protective boyfriend mode,
"like a person?" Pope asks,
he hears her screaming and begins to panic, what is he gonna do. They continue to yell back and forth but no information comes out of it.
JJ is about to go in the sewer to get her out when Pope says "hold on"
"what?"
"Listen" they both kneel down and listen
"guys! Guys the water!" Kiara yells,
"shit. Kiara get out of there now!" pope yells
"I don't have time! JJ help!"
"Kie!" The both yell, water comes rushing out
"maybe there's a manhole" JJ says then yells "go go go go go!!"
They run to the nearest man hole. They hear her screaming for them "JJ please!" Kiara screams, they run and try to pull it open "the water is coming up! Hurry!" They keep trying but fail "hurry hurry" they keep trying "JJ please"
"I got you kie" JJ says getting out his Swiss army knife trying to get it open, it breaks, they keep trying to lift it the last thing JJ hears is "JJ I love you" that gets him and he uses all of his strength and pulls it up, she comes jumping out gasping for air, she sits up catching her breath when JJ asks "Yo Kie you good?"
She gives him a thumbs up and says "never been better" he chuckles at her. She reaches behind her back and says
"this isn't what we were looking for right?" It's the gun
"holy shit Kie! You did it" JJ grabs his bandana and takes it. They are gonna get the son of a bitch. Or that's what they think.
Kiara is showering,
"towel" Kiara asks JJ
"here" he gives her the towel,
"thanks" Pope walks up
"hey Pope" JJ says mainly for Kiara to know he's there
"uh Pope I got to get dressed" Kiara says and Pope turns around, she gets dressed then has trouble with her sports bra "stupid fucking bra" she says (if your a women you understand)
"here I'll help" JJ helps her then says "I don't know how you wear those" he says making her laugh
"I ask myself that everyday Jayj" she finishes getting dressed then sits on the bench with Pope and JJ.
"I feel like a human being again"
"smell like one to" Pope says making JJ snort,
Kiara glares at him "what he's right" JJ says with his hands up, she just rolls her eyes and leans into him.
After a while Kiara says "if I don't want to die I should get home"
JJ nods and says "ok. I love you"
he kisses her and when they pull away she says "I love you too"
then walks towards her car. JJ is smiling like an idiot, "you're so whipped" Pope says smiling
"and I'm not ashamed of it" he says "are you ok with our PDA?" JJ asks
"yeah. I sometimes catch myself clenching my jaw or something. But I am seriously happy for you two just need a minute to fully get over her"
"I get it man" JJ claps his back
"alright I'm gonna head to the chateau. See ya at school" He gets up and leaves.
"1 minute to curfew you good timing" Her mom says as she enters her house
"you know me I live on the edge" Kiara jokes,
"whose clothes are those?" Her mom asks
"we were cleaning up plastic outside the sewer when it was flushed got sewer water all over us so I showered at Pope's and JJ gave me some clothes" her mom nods *ding* Kiara's phone goes off and she knows it's JJ, it's an gif of someone covered in something brown and he texts "I love you even if your poopy" she giggles at him,
"I'm guessing JJ" her mom says walking by and reading over her shoulder "oh lord"
"ok mom thanks for reading over my shoulder"
"sorry sorry" she seems sincere
"alright I'm tired. Goodnight mom"
"night sweetie"
She texts JJ back a heart emoji and says goodnight and that she loves him.
