Hello everyone new and old to my page! I am 7Lights13Darknesses. If you know the game series then yes that is a reference to Kingdom Hearts if not then don't worry about it. I like to write for different fandoms every now and then and this is my first Batman/Justice League story! If you like it please check out my other works. And for those that Have seen me before, don't worry I am still focusing on my other stories. I have just been busy with college and work. Last summer I had to take a summer class. I am hoping that writing this will get me back into the mood to get more writing down. And this is actually a one-shot this time. It won't be becoming a series like one of my other fics that I said would be a one-shot.
Oh and this is just supposed to be a funny story. It's not based off any one specific version of Batman media, but I feel like if it did align with any version, it's the Batman: Wayne Family Adventures webcomic. I feel like that version of the Batfamily and Justice League fit's the best.
So with that out of the way. Please enjoy.
Flash: And think about following this guy. He could use it.
How is it you are the fastest man alive but show up late?
Flash: Same as you getting anything done. I procrastinate.
Why does everyone always call me out on that?!

Story inspired by TikToker Spencer Cowdell spencerhcc who gave me permission to make this into a fic. Thank you!
Gotham, a city that seems to be always in darkness. Criminals and crooks are around every corner causing many to be careful where they go. And that isn't even taking into account the supervillains. That is why this city has its very own vigilante. The one and only Batman. A caped crusader who defends the city streets at night, bringing justice to those who deserve it.
Nobody outside of the vigilante or hero circles knows who he is under the mask. Even most other heroes don't know who he is. He prefers to work alone. Of course, over the years he has ended up picking up some sidekicks.
And how he wishes one of his partners could be here right now. He's been locked up with no easy way to escape, by the Riddler no less. Well, there is one partner with him. Batman's son A.K.A the newest Robin was captured as well. In a separate glass cage, so the two couldn't work together. They were bulletproof and there were only a few tiny holes at the top for air. Meaning even if Batman could throw something through them he would have a hard time aiming for the button to release them.
Thankfully Riddler seemed to be going easy on them tonight. Well, compared to other schemes and plans by his and other villains' standards at least. Originally, he had robbed a bank which had led to them chasing him. But he led them into a trap. He and Robin let their guard down and were now having to suffer through one of Riddler's quiz shows. The agreement is that if Batman and Robin get all the questions right, they will be set free once Riddle can get away without their interference. If they miss more than three questions, a bomb hidden in the building will go off. He took over a studio and is broadcasting this game show live, leaving Batman and Robin little choice but to play along until backup came.
Batman was able to send out a signal to Oracle, so help should be on the way soon. But he couldn't help but feel like he was forgetting something….
Justice League Watch Tower
"I'm sorry. Did you just say that, Batman? THE Batman needs our help?" Flash, the speedster hero asked. He was talking on the com to none other than Oracle. How they got a hold of the Watch Tower he didn't know but he knows they work with Batman so he's not going to question it.
"Yes. He needs some backup." Oracle replied.
"Why call us though? Isn't there like…. a dozen other vigilantes in that city now?" Flash asked curiously. "And what about the now Metas rule?"
"Robin was kidnapped with him. Nightwing is on an undercover mission, Redhood is not even in the States, Red Robin is finally getting some sleep and Signal is also fast asleep since he is a daytime hero. Everyone else is currently in the middle of more serious missions. So I am overriding the Meta Rule just this once."
'Not that we always enforce it anyways.' Oracle thought thinking about the time Superman helped watch the city when Batman was out of the city.
"More serious than Batman being captured?" Green Arrow asked who came to see what got Flash's attention.
"Honestly, it's not as bad as it could be, it's just the Riddler. He put Batman into another one of his trivia game shows. Which is also why I am calling you and not Red Robin or Signal."
"Sounds like you got a plan then?" Green Arrow guessed.
Oracle paused and for a second the two heroes thought they heard a snicker. "How would you and some of the others like to mess with not only the Riddler but also Batman?"
Just then Superman flew up having heard the conversation with his super hearing. "You have our attention." He smirked.
"Good. Use the transporter to come to the Batcave. I'll tell Agent A you are coming. Bring whoever you want. But be quick."
"You got it." Flash snapped before quickly leaving to grab some of the other heroes in the Watch Tower.
In the Batcave.
"So, what is the plan again?" Wonder Woman asked as she and the other heroes looked around the Batcave.
"Oracle just told us to come here, and they would tell Agent A."
"Ah, you have arrived." A new voice said from the top of the stairs. All the heroes turned around to see Agent A (Alfred) come down the stairs.
"I didn't think you would be bringing this many with you." He commented. Hiding a smirk.
"Oracle said to bring who we could." Flash joked. And indeed, he did. Too many heroes were willing to volunteer. Of course, not everyone could come. They had to leave Mr. Terrific to lead at the Watch Tower. The heroes who did come are the Flash, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Hawkgirl, Vixen, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter (J'onn), Plastic Man, and Zatanna. Twelve heroes in total. Which may not seem like a lot. But in this case, it is. It may be a little overkill.
"Well then let's not waste time," Alfred said leading the group of heroes to a large lead-lined door. Meaning not even Superman could see past it with his X-ray vision.
Agent A opened the door showing a room full of Batman suits. Some are normal but others are older suits or ones used for specific situations. And there were oddly enough a lot of colorful ones. Canary swears she could see a rainbow suit in the back.
"You have five minutes." That was all Agent A had to say for the heroes to catch on to what the plan was.
"Well, this isn't what I was expecting," Vixen commented.
"Better hurry." Oracle's voice spoke from the intercom. "We don't want to keep Batman waiting."
Film Studio (Where Batman and Robin are being held)
"Well, you two are doing much better than I was expecting." Riddler complemented the crime-fighting duo.
"Did you expect anything else?" Robin asked getting both ignored and annoyed. He was momentarily interested in this 'Trivia' show but quickly lost said interest when barely any of the questions gave him, or Batman, a hard time. So far, they have only missed one out of twenty or more questions.
"Careful, that overconfidence could be your downfall." Riddler chuckled.
"Tch. Could say the same to you." Robin retaliated.
"Hmph. Let's just go to the next question. Now, I decided to mix things up a little this time. For all those watching earlier, I asked everyone to submit their questions to ask Batman and the Boy Wonder-"
"No one uses that nickname anymore." Robin interrupted.
"Whatever." Riddler brushed off. "And now before I was rudely interrupted. I am now going to read some questions submitted by the viewers. And while I doubt anything sent will be as good as my questions, I am always looking for more material."
"So, you're saying that you're running out of original ideas? Not that you had many to begin with." Robin smirked.
"Batman, I swear you need to raise that boy with better manners."
"Just go on with the questions Riddler. We don't have all night." Batman finally spoke. He was staying more focused so has to not get distracted and miss a question. Which is why he hasn't stopped Robin from aggravating Riddler. There wasn't much the man could do anyway. Despite being a Villain he is a man of his word and won't hurt anyone unless they fail the quiz show. Batman wondered what could be keeping the backup from arriving. He would have thought that Red Hood or Nightwing would be here by now. Did the signal for Oracle not go out? No, he knows it did. Riddler doesn't have anything to block their communication and even then Oracle would have seen this show being broadcast.
"Fair enough. Next question then." He quickly was given dome notecards with questions submitted by viewers. Little did he know that Oracle had hacked into the systems. And made sure to submit a question that would get his attention and be one of the first ones he would see.
"let's see…joke question, joke question, something about a video game I think, joke question… Are the only people watching this show children?"
"Wouldn't be surprised." Damian snickered again.
Riddler then finally found one that caught his attention. "Oh, a question for me? Well, I'm flattered. Let's see what it says, shall we?" He said to no one other than himself.
"'Question for the Mr. Riddler. Are you sure you have the…. the real Batman?'" He read confused. "Of course, I have the real Batman," Riddler went to read the next card but stopped when a voice spoke from a darker side of the room.
"Oh, do you?" A voice that sounded almost like Batman spoke. Riddler turned around to see…Batman?! Stepping out of the shadows!
"What, but I have Batman right there!" Riddler yelled dumfounded pointing his cane at the Batman in the glass cage. Said Batman and Robin were both just as confused, not that they showed it.
"Oh, do you?" Another voice spoke. This time coming from the opposite end of the room with shadows. This figure sounded even less like Batman but not far off. Not that Riddler noticed.
Everyone in the room turned around to ANOTHER Batman step out of the shadows! This one looked exactly like the real Batman too.
No one moved as the Riddler tried to make sense of what was going on. He paused for a moment before coming to a reasonable conclusion.
"Ah, I'm assuming these two must be some of your sidekicks Batman. Nice try to confuse me but you will have to do better than that!" He smirked despite knowing that his men would not be able to take on two of Batman's sidekicks. So, he figured he'd go out on a high note.
"But the point still stands that I did capture the real Batman!"
"No, you didn't," The first Batman that stepped out of the shadows replied.
"Because I *snicker* I am Batman!" Another voice said unable to even keep the Batman impression up. This 'Batman' came from the shadows as well, but the Riddler swears he saw this one floating for just a second, the cape still covered his feet, so it was hard to tell.
The Riddler didn't even know how to react to that one.
"I'm Batman!" Another voice said stepping up to the first Batman. This Batman's suit looked big on them, and the voice was clearly a woman's that she was making deeper. But Riddler could neither comment nor process this before the unthinkable happened.
"I'm Batman." Said a 'Batman' with a blond beard showing.
"I'm Batman." Said one that quickly ran out of the shadows.
"I'm Batman!" Said one tucking in their blond hair.
"I'm Batman!" Does that one have a hook for a hand?!
"I'm Batman!" For this one Riddler had to look up to see a "Batman" actually hanging upside down from the ceiling!
"I'm Batman!" Said one FLYING next to the other Batman!
"I'm Batman!" Said one whose suit was also far too big on them. But their voice sounded just like his. As in it was a perfect imitation of not the real voice.
Suddenly Riddler felt a tap on his shoulder. Scared beyond belief he turned around to come face to face with another Batman. This one not grinning or giving away any thoughts. Just staring directly into his eyes. Somewhere in his head while praying for his life Riddler wondered how this one got behind him without anyone noticing. There were no shadows. It was almost like he just rose from the ground.
"I…am Batman." He simply stated, instead of yelling. Holding his hand out for the trigger to the bomb. (Flash already had it disabled before they came in. It didn't take long for Superman to find it) Riddler handed the trigger while also backing up from the alleged Batman.
Riddler looked at all the "Batmans" surrounding him and his men. Most of them looked like they were about to faint and had already dropped their weapons. This was his worst nightmare. Multiple Batman! One was enough to deal with thank you very much!
"H-How is this possible? Where d-did you all come from? If he's not the real Batman then which one of you-"
But he didn't get to finish his sentence as he saw that the cages that held who he thought was the original Batman and Robin were now open and the duo was walking up to him. He quickly ran to that Batman fear in his eyes.
"Please, please tell me you are the real Batman!?" He pleaded. He was losing his mind. While he knew many of these so-called "Batmans" in the room were fake, 2 or 3 were very convincing and made him doubt who was real. He looked up at the Batman he had captured hoping for a yes, a nod, any confirmation.
"…. I'm Batman." Batman simply said. Causing Riddler's eyes to widen in fear as this meant he would never get an answer. Unless that was his way of saying yes? But so many said the same thing? Would the real Batman even answer with his voice?
"That doesn't answer my question and you know it! Does it?" He asked his uncertainty showing.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Robin smirked as the real Batman handcuffed Riddler seeing no reason to throw a punch.
'This makes no sense! This makes no sense!' Riddler thought over and over in his head trying to think of an answer to this situation.
The thought that all the multiple "Batmans" were heroes from outside of Gotham never crossed his mind. Deciding to keep it going, Batman looked over at the two Batmans that looked the most like him. Which he knew had to be J'onn and Plastic Man. He was still guessing some of the others himself.
"Batman. Batman. Will you take him to the police station? I need to have a word with the other Batmen."
J'onn and Plastic Man just did their best 'Batman' nods taking the Riddler to the Police car waiting outside. Not wanting to aggravate two people who looked like the real Batman, Riddler didn't resist but kept shaking his head in confusion as the other 'Batmans' started walking out of the shadows and taking away the goons.
Batman then proceeded to walk over to the first of his doppelgangers who he figured was Superman.
"I want everyone out of the city and in the tower in the next five minutes."
"Gees Bats you could at least say thank you," Flash said no longer doing the impression.
"Honestly I would be more annoyed like Father, but Riddler was getting on both of our nerves, so I enjoyed having a real show," Robin commented.
"Just don't do anything like this again," Batman said as he and the rest of the League started to leave the building. "And for the record, it would have been better if you all just stepped out of the shadows at the same time."
"Noted." Green Arrow said.
"Any chance I can keep the suit?" Lantern asked.
Once all the heroes, Batman and Robin included, got back to the Tower and explained that it was Oracle and Agent A who planned the whole thing, Batman was a little less angry at the other heroes. He also asked for all the suits back, (much to Lantern's disappointment) finding out that both Plastic Man and J'onn had taken one too despite having the ability to just shapeshift their bodies to have it.
Batman now refers to this night as the "I am Spartacus" incident and a few days later Oracle showed the rest of the Batfamily the footage she got as soon as they could watch it. And while Batman was slightly annoyed, he also couldn't ignore how effective the plan was. Maybe he could improve it?
The End
So what did you guys think? This is just a funny idea and is obviously not taken too seriously in terms of how the heroes would not actually do this in most cannons.
The order of the "Batmans" is has follows:
Superman (Actually was an effective impression.)
J'onn (Took a suit despite not needing it.
Wonder Woman (Decided this was too fun to pass up.)
Green Lantern (could barely hold in his laughter)
Green Arrow (Blond Beard. He considered having the punching glove arrow out but that would give him away even more)
Flash (Upset that the others started before he got back from disabling the bomb)
Black Canary (Her hair would not stay tucked in)
Aquaman (He called himself Pirate Batman)
Vixen (Ceiling Batman using her powers to hang upside down like a real bat)
Hawkgirl (Was floating in the air still mostly in shadow so her wings were not visible)
Zatanna (Used a spell to make herself sound just like Batman)
Plastic Man (Was able to hide in backstage to sneak up on the Riddler)
Thank you again to Spencer Cowdell ( spencerhcc) for coming up with the idea and permission to use for this fic!
