Here's a little Gumball story that's been playing in my mind for a while. This story takes place in an alternate universe.

They say everyone has a guardian, someone that's out there looking out for them. Sitting across the arms of a chair was a person hidden by shadows, the only thing one would be able to make was their thicc, voluptuous, feminine figure and pair of radiating golden eyes. The person in question had a somewhat eerie vibe to her as she stared into a small portal that floated a foot away from her face. The portal showed her the ongoings of a young blue cat and his slightly younger orange goldfish friend. Though, if she were being honest, she far more interested in the cat.

"Gumball Watterson…" she muttered the blue cat's name in a tone of interest.

It was evening in Elmore, and Gumball and his fish friend/adoptive brother Darwin walking into the house.

"Hey mom, what's for dinner?" Gumball asked, he and Darwin taking a seat at the table.

"Chicken and fries," Nicole replied, placing a pack of frozen chicken legs on Gumball's plate and a raw potato on Darwin's.

"Hm. Does this look a little underdone to you?" Gumball asked Darwin.

"I think there's something wrong with my fries too," Darwin said, holding up the potato.

"Can we just skip to dessert?" Gumball asked. He and Darwin screamed when Anias tossed a cement cupcake, shattering one of the plates. "What is wrong with you?!" Gumball shouted.

"You know very well what's wrong!" Anais countered, tossing another cement cupcake that shattered the other plate.

"What's going on? Why is dinner wrong?" Gumball asked, slightly frightened.

"You know very well why dinner is wrong!" Nicole yelled.

"I'm just gonna try something…" Gumball whispered to Darwin. The blue kitten inhaled through his nose, "We're both very sorry for what we've done."

"So, you do know what you've done!" Nicole yelled.

"No!" the boys replied in unison.

"Then how can you apologize for something you don't even know about?!" Nicole slammed her fist on the table.

"I don't know!" Gumball cried.

"Look, Dad overheard what you said on the playground," Anais informed them.

"Ohh, that!" Gumball said in realization.

"And he's been hiding in the shed ever since," Nicole added.

"Well, at least he can't embarrass us in there," Gumball muttered.

Anais tossed yet another cement cupcake. Her brother's glance to the side had given the little bunny girl a small window to hit him straight in the forehead. The moment the cupcake made impact with the blue kitten, there was an audible cracking noise before it bounced off. The force of the blunt object caused Gumball to fall back and roll out of his seat before ending up on his back.

Gumball simply laid there, a noticeably large gash on his forehead from where the cupcake had struck him. Blood had started to trickle down his face from the wound, splitting into two streams when it reached the bridge of his nose. Darwin gasped at the sight of his downed, and most likely unconscious brother.

Meanwhile, the figure had been watching the scene through the portal. She growled, her irises glowing.

"Uhh… I'm gonna go apologize to Dad," Darwin said before bolting outside to the shed.

Nicole walked over to Gumball and scooped up his unconscious body. Carrying him upstairs and to his room, Nicole placed the boy into bed. She took the pen notebook that was next to Gumball's computer and wrote something down. She taped the note to Gumball's chest, glaring at him with a scowl for a bit before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.

A minute later, a magenta-colored fire appeared on the floor. The flames then shot up, reaching the height of the second bunk. The flames then dissipated, vanishing just as quickly as they appeared. Surprisingly, there were no scorch marks on the carpet.

In the place of the flames stood the lady figure that had been watching the events from afar. From behind her, a long tail slithered out in an S curve, the tip of the tail ending in a heart-shaped spear that nearly touched the floor. Then, out came a pair of massive wings similar to a vampire or a dragon. On the side of her head were horns that curved forward like a bull. The was no doubting what kind of creature this lady was. A demon.

The demon lady then approached the bunk containing the unconscious blue kitten. She looked at Gumball with a rather sad expression. Taking out a few tissues, she cleaned his face of his blood. Once his face was clean, she proceeded to scoop Gumball into her arms, holding him rather close as she cradled him.

"You poor baby," she whispered, tilting her head gently against his for a brief moment, "Come with me. I'll take care of that injury of yours," she told him.

Magenta flames shot up from beneath the demon lady, consuming both her and Gumball. Once the flames were gone, so were they. Where this lady had taken Gumball was anyone's guess. Whatever the outcome, his fate would be in her hands.

Well, that's the end of the first chapter. It's been a while since I worked on, let alone started a Gumball fanfic. Anyway, if you have any ideas for this story, I'd love to hear them.
