The following day, we Louds went with Tiana and Naveen to pay the Fenner brothers a visit.
Tiana pushed her many cans of money towards the Fenners, who looked at her nervously, then at Lynn, who smirked as she snapped her fingers.
Louis growled at the Fenners, who fearfully gave Tiana the key to the sugar mill, to which we cheered.
Soon afterwards, we had to go back to Royal Woods, but Tiana and Naveen didn't mind. They kept themselves busy, sprucing up the sugar mill. And by summertime, Tiana's Palace was open for business.
We Louds and our friends, including the LaBouffs and Naveen's parents, gathered to celebrate the grand opening.
Even Luna brought her band, the Moon Goats to the stage, calling out. "You dudes ready to rock the house?"
The crowd cheered in response.
"Then, give it up for Louis the Trumpet-Playing Gator!" Luna announced, making way for Louis to play his trumpet as she started to sing.
In the Southland there's a city
Way down on the river
Where the women are very pretty
And all the men deliver
They got music, it's always playin'
Start in the day time, go all through the night
When you hear that music playin'
Hear what I'm saying
Make you feel alright
As we all danced to the music, Charlotte said. "Who would have thought the prince would've had a younger brother! How old did you say you were?"
"I'm six and a half." answered Naveen's brother.
"Well, I've waited this long." Charlotte said as they took to the floor, where Lana asked Lola. "Think you oughta do something about it?"
Lola just shrugged. "She can have him."
Lincoln (to the readers): Well, everything worked out in the end. Tiana got her restaurant, found someone to share her dream, and formed a partnership with Dad, with the promise of coming to visit every now and then. So, whether it's Tiana's Palace or Lynn's Table, don't be a stranger.
Luna:
Grab somebody, come on down
Bring your paintbrush, we're paintin' the town
There's some sweetness goin' around
Dreams do come true in New Orleans
