Chapter Summary: Connor and Duncan meet again and a conversation leads to them suspecting Connor's new student and Amanda's new student could possibly have a connection regarding their respective pasts.

That Ranger Connection

Connor sighed as he was thinking about his new student. He appeared to be a ninja before his first death. Shane appeared to be flexible and an amazing fighter.

During his second training session that day, Connor noticed Shane unleashed some air. His student pointed out that he could unleash the power of air at will which was a part of him prior to dying, and Shane seemed surprised that he still had that ability, even though he wasn't a Power Ranger.

There was something about Shane that amazed him, and remembered what he revealed regarding his past.

"I don't know if I should tell you this," Shane spoke up after the second training session finished, "but I think I can trust you. I was a Power Ranger before my first death."

"A Power Ranger?"

"Power Rangers Ninja Storm," Shane explained, "we helped defend Blue Bay Harbor from the forces of evil. It was Lothor, and before I died, we were dealing with radical ninjas."

Connor was aware of the Power Rangers to a degree, so had Duncan. They could recall some stories about some Power Rangers from Angel Grove who once saved the world on more than one occasion. It was sort of a surprise to know that there were Power Rangers all around the world, mostly in America.

Angel Grove, Blue Bay Harbor and Reefside were in California where Buffy Summers and her group of Sunnydale were as well as the Charmed Ones of San Francisco.

Turtle Cove, home of the Wild Force Power Rangers, was located in Brisbane, in Australia. Silver Hill, the home of the Time Force Power Rangers, was also located in Australia.

The Jungle Fury Rangers were located in Ocean Bluff, which was located in Massachusetts. The Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers were not too far from that city in Mariner Bay in Maine.

As for the Space Power Rangers and Lost Galaxy Power Rangers, the former was at the Astro Megaship and the latter was at a far reach of the galaxy located in Terra Venture. He wasn't sure about the SPD Power Rangers albeit they were mentioned in the list of Power Rangers as well.

Then of course, there was Briarwood, which was located in Washington just like Seacouver. He couldn't help but to wonder if there was a connection.

Duncan looked at the TV which he saw the news about the death of local DJ Vida Rocca, who was now Amanda's student, something that wasn't surprising to him at this point.

"Briarwood is mourning the loss of local DJ Vida Rocca," the news reporter said. He listened in as the news reporter was talking about her death/first death.

Duncan only sighed watching the news and gave out a small smile. Vida was now immortal, which he was certain that her friends and family were unaware of.

He couldn't help but to think about Vida and the interactions she had with him and the others today.

Amanda seemed to have enjoyed herself when training the former pink ranger, and the student – teacher dynamic seemed to be working perfectly for the two of them.

Then, there was Richie. He and Vida seemed to be hitting it off from the looks of things. It was certain that they were still be an official couple and they weren't admitting it, not just yet anyway.

Duncan was startled upon sensing something. He turned around to see Connor.

"Connor," he asked, "what brings you here?"

"I had this feeling you had a new immortal in your city, and she's training with you."

"I do," Duncan nodded, "but she's Amanda's new student, not mine."

"So I was right then."

"Yeah, and I had a new immortal as well," Connor spoke up, "his name is Shane Clarke."

"That's nice."

"I believe your girlfriend's new student used to be a Power Ranger."

"She is," Duncan nodded again, "Vida mentioned the gist of her past as a Power Ranger."

Connor snapped his fingers, "I knew it. So we have two immortals who are new and used to be Power Rangers."

"Shane was a Power Ranger too?"

"He told me that during training today."

"So, what do you want me to do?"

Connor sighed before he spoke up, "Well, Shane is on his way over here. He's getting some food and then he's coming here. I told him the address to this location. Once he comes, I think it'd be a good idea for Shane and Vida to share their stories about their respective pasts as Power Rangers."

There was a pause of silence as Amanda, Vida and Richie entered the room.

"What's going on here?" Amanda asked.

"That's what I'd like to know," Richie glanced at the two Highlanders.

"Me as well," Vida chided.

"Shane is coming here," Duncan glanced at the three, "Connor thinks it's a good idea for you can tell you to tell about your time as a Power Ranger, Vida."

"We have heard of Power Rangers in the past," Connor added, "and now that we have former rangers with us..."

"It would be interesting to know about your past as a Power Ranger," Richie smiled at Vida.

Author's Note: I know this is another short chapter, and hopefully, the chapters will be a lot better as the one shots progress, but I'd like to explain some things about the Power Rangers in this universe that I thought might catch an interest to you guys.

First off, I thought it'd be interesting to show people the various locations of where the Power Rangers live, from Angel Grove to Ocean Bluff and show different parts of the world where they lived.

Secondly, as far as the Power Rangers who exist in this universe, that would be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers all the way up to Jungle Fury, and maybe RPM, but that is as far as it goes. Everything Samurai, onwards, does not exist.

There's more to come in this amazing journey, and I hope you will enjoy the ride because trust me, things are about to become more interesting!
