The first round finished with very little in the way of upset. While Hercule won his battle, the same could not be said for his three disciples. Caroni, Pirozhki, and Ms. Pizza were all actually very talented fighters, maybe due to the fact that they were actually given training worth a damn by the Satan Dojo. However, they simply had bad luck. Pirozhki couldn't hold a candle to Krillin, Lapis danced circles around Caroni due to the former's ability to fly and greater power, and Ms. Pizza, despite her tenacity, could not overcome the mysterious Mrs. Morada.

Jazz paid attention when Goku said the woman felt familiar in some way, but he couldn't put a finger on why either, there seemed to be an odd connection between Mrs. Morada and the fighter who beat Giran, a woman by the name of Agent Violet. Those people with Agents as part of their fighter titles were extremely strong, and to PaoPao's irritation, completely unknown variables that she had no research on. Unfortunately, she had her hands full keeping an eye on her sister, who decided to make a game of creeping out the staff in terrifying and unique ways.

After a 20-minute interlude, the second round was announced, with all the current fighters left on display along with who would be fighting whom.

"GIVE IT UP FOR OUR TOP 16! The creme of the crop! The 16 strongest fighters in the world!"

Hercule for his part played up the pomp and gusto with great fashion, his natural sense of showmanship earned him the crowd's hearts.

"What a show-off," Roshi shook his head, "I can't believe his dojo originates from my own. Standing there, all puffed up when not a single of his direct students made it to the second round."

"What happened to always being proud of the efforts your disciples put in, Roshi?" Oolong replied dryly, "I mean, they all actually made it to the top 32 at least, and would have easily won the tournament 10 years ago each."

Roshi grumbled out a grumpy reply about pigs in a blanket and not respecting one's elders.

As all of this was happening, Mei Lin made a beeline towards Krillin. "Sup, short stuff, it looks like we'll be doing the tango pretty soon, huh?"

"Oh? Yeah, you're my opponent, sorry, it's hard to keep track of irrelevant people, I was thinking of how I was going to beat or at least face PaoPao."

Mei Lin's grin widened, "I'm looking forward to your best, Krilly-billy." Before Krillin could react, she squeezed the short man's cheek with surprisingly tender affection, causing the bald man to blush.

"What are you doing!" Krillin shouted in surprise, blush deepening." Mei Lin for her part brought her face closer, as if to kiss him.

Before she could continue, Chi Chi and PaoPao moved in unison, smacking Mei Lin's hand away.

"Careful Krillin, my sister will stoop to anything nowadays to get an advantage over her opponent. Don't get distracted."

"Aww… sis, I'm so sad. You hate me so much that I can't even confess the love I've harbored all these years. I just loved how chiseled his jaw was, and how honest those eyes of his are. Did you know, Krillin? I went to your monastery, and I heard all about you, those fools used to make fun of you, but they kiss the ground you walked on, my sister's just being weird because she's always been jealous of me. How about you and I have some alone time before the match."

"N-no way!" Krillin shouted, backing up, "I know the stuff you've pulled, no thanks!" Despite his sharp words and hostile attitude, the blush had yet to leave his face.

Mei Lin for her part cackled maliciously. "I can promise you, Krillin, we'd have had a good time together, but if you insist on following through with my sister's paranoia, I guess that's it then." She returned to her fighters box.

Krillin scowled at her, trying to avert his eyes from the sway of her hips or her glossy black hair, roped in a ponytail.

"Are you okay, Krillin?" Jazz asked, placing a hand on Krillin's shoulder.

"I hate her." Krillin muttered, "She targeted my weakness."

"Weakness?" Jazz asked, questioningly.

"Krillin keeps failing at dates." Goku said, "Which is weird, how do you fail to eat a fruit?"

Krillin's face lowered, reddening even more with shame.

"Pfft, you look like a tomato." Lapis laughed.

"That's not funny." Lazuli chided her sibling.

"Come on, sis, it's a little funny, 'cause see, he's completely bald, so when he goes all red like this, he just turns into a tomato."

"You aren't helping, brat," Krillin growled.

"I'm not trying to help." Lapis retorted, "I'm simply stating facts, also, if you let her get under your skin like that, you'll lose out real quick. Don't you know girls are super good at manipulating you and getting under your skin? They bat their eyes and swish their hair, then once your heart's beating real fast they get you by the ba-"

"Semi-sexist generalization aside…" Jazz interrupted, staring sharply at Lapis, who turned away from him stubbornly. "Be careful around Mei Lin, she will flirt as she fights, or she will insult you. Anything she can say or do to distract you will be utilized, and if you give her even an inch, she'll take you for all you've got. I hate the times I've fought her for that reason."

"But why does she target me?!" Krillin whined.

"You give off single-virgin-boy energy." Hercule offered, "Sorry bro."

"...screw you, Mark."

"No time for that." Goku said, "It's time for the first two fights of round 2!"

The others stared up to see the next combatants listed out.

Goku vs. Chichi

Lapis vs. Mrs. Morada

"Ooh, it's my turn already?" Lapis chuckled. He stretched his arms and legs.

"Good luck out there." Jazz said.

"I don't need it," Lapis replied dismissively.

"Don't get killed, loser." Lazuli snorted.

"Whatever you say, sis. Hmm… I wonder if I can get them to melt the trophy and remake it as a gold buff of my face, after my win, of course."

As he raced towards his arena. Goku turned towards Chi Chi.

"Are you ready? The Saiyan asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement."

Despite her nervousness, Chi Chi replied with equal enthusiasm. "I am! Also, Goku. You remember the promise, right?"

Goku nodded, "Of course, I will listen to whatever you want to ask of me after our fight, just like you wanted."

Chi Chi smiled at his words. "Good, because I won't hold back."

"Goku's really gone up in the world, hasn't he." Bulma said, "I mean, while he isn't as handsome as my Yamcha, he's gotten very cute, and he's pretty tall too."

"He can't hold a candle to Tien." Launch retorted, "he's a cut above the rest."

The two ladies bickered for a few moments before turning to Miguel, who was chuckling lightly the entire time they were bickering.

"Anything to say, Miguel?" Bulma asked.

"I mean, It's so silly seeing the two of you argue over who gets the silver medal, after all, my Mark is the best one down there."

"Yeah, that afro and mustache scream sexiness…" Bulma replied sarcastically.

The three turned towards PaoPao, the only other woman in their extended group who was officially in a relationship. She for her part was resting in the shade before she would be called out to face Lazuli. "I have no comment."

"What?" The three asked incredulously at the same time.

"Aren't you going to try and espouse Faris's good side? Or do you think he's uglier than our men?" Bulma asked.

PaoPao shook her head and smiled. "Why would I need to waste my time like that? We all have working eyes, so why would I need to waste my words? Besides, can't we all simply consider each of our respective significant others as the best to ourselves, without competing? I'd rather not have to shame you."

She sauntered off before the three could recover enough to retort.

"I miss when she used to stutter with broken English," Bulma grumbled.

Miguel for her part laughed, "My father would blow a gasket if he found me bickering so pettily, but I have to say, this is kind of fun."

"I mean, I'd rather be in a casino blowing all the cash I earned from a score, but this kind of thing isn't bad either." Launch, in her blond form, gazed over at Tien fondly, who was stretching and warming up for his upcoming fight against Agent Azule. At that moment, Chiaotzu poked Tien, who looked down on him before turning up to meet Launch's gaze. The two blushed at each other after a few seconds before averting their gazes.

"A lot of fun, indeed," Bulma said, laughing at her normally brash friend's demure expression.

Goku and Chi Chi stared at each other with complete focus. Adjusting their stances as they observed each other's movements. Despite the cacophony of noise born from Lapis and Mrs. Morada's fight, the two of them seemed only attuned to each other's breathing. A single drop of sweat fell from Chi Chi's chin, hitting the ground. And like that, the two charged each other, exchanging a flurry of kicks and punches. Chi Chi started with a series of low sweeps that Goku stepped over easily. Goku countered with several kiah cannons, knocking Chi Chi back with gusts of invisible ki and wind.

Chi Chi deflected the attacks, activated her pump up technique, and charged forward. Ki wrapped around her limbs, adding an explosive fury to the punches and kicks she sent Goku's way. Goku returned her attacks in kind, deflecting her ki and slightly pushing her back with kiahs of greater and greater intensity. Chi Chi, facing knockout, took to the skies and began gathering ki in the palms of her hand. Projections similar to her head-axe implement she used as a child appeared in her hands, made out of ki. She charged forward, massive blades of ki humming in the air. Goku dodged the attacks, a slightly worried expression on his face.

"Chi Chi!" He shouted, "Are you sure you wanna do this? Isn't this technique too dangerous?"

"You can't go worrying about your opponent in a fight, Goku!" Chi Chi retorted, "It's about doing one's best!"

Jazz felt Chi Chi's energy rapidly draining, but instead of moving slower, she seemed to get faster and faster. 'Those blades…' he surmised, 'she's pouring all her energy into them, almost like concentrating on a Kamehameha, her power level jumped to almost 3 times its levels, which was impressive, giving her pump up technique mastery. She then poured all of the energy into her two blades of ki, both in the shape of vicious double-sided war axes, and seemed to be guiding the weapons with her ki, which puppeteered her body forward. It was an ingenious idea, if not also extremely dangerous.

"Go, Chi Chi! Show him what you're made of!" Bulma screamed in the background. A chorus of cheers and hollers went out to both fighters as their duel continued, though the majority of the z fighters were silent, as they had realized that despite Chi-Chi's display of power and speed, Goku had yet to even utilize the pump up technique. After a few more seconds of this exchange, Goku backed up towards the center of the arena and stood stock still. Chi Chi, unperturbed, charged toward him, using her ki-constructed weaponry to carry her body forward. Chi Chi was inches away from splitting Goku in half when her weapons dissipated, her ki too spent to maintain its shape. She stumbled forward, legs unable to maintain balance, only to fall upon Goku's arms, which gently lowered her to the ground. He turned towards the announcer, who began to count down.

"10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…..ZERO! THE WINNER, IS GOKU!"

Goku gently picked up Chi Chi, a grin on his face, "your were awesome to fight Chi Chi, when you wake up, I'll hear out whatever it is you want to say! It's a promise." He handed her over to the medical team to check on and walked over to the fighter's stand. He waved to the crowd here and there, but for the most part remained quiet, as he took on a contemplative look.

In parallel to their fight, Lapis was struggling. The mysterious woman known as Mrs. Morada was an enigma, he had never seen her before, but he could have sworn he'd have heard of a woman as powerful as she was. There were a bunch of weirdos who gave similar vibes to each other in the tournament, and he didn't like it. Mrs. Morada gave him the most uncomfortable vibes, she reminded him the most of General Black and General White of the Red Ribbon army, or at least, of the robot copies of them. The weird thing was that she gave off an energy signature. But the energy she gave off was way too small to make sense. She was so strong he had to use the full pump up technique to keep the advantage, yet she felt as powerful as a normal person. What was even worse was her fighting style. She moved sloppily, without much skill, yet she was crazy flexible, able to strike him in the oddest of angles.

"Who the hell are you, really?!" Lapis shouted, flipping over another attack. "Why are you this strong!"

"Wouldn't you like to know, little cutie?" Mrs. Morada stuck her tongue at him, her eyes, violet-colored, twinkled in an amused flash. Lapis narrowed his eyes in irritation.

"Don't call me that!" He gathered ki into his palm and fired it off with enough force to propel him away from her. The woman charged through the beam, catching Lapis by surprise and slamming him onto the arena tiles with enough force to crack them. Lapis dodged out of the way just in time as her foot pierced the tile his head was resting on. Utilizing his newfound adrenaline, Lapis donkey kicked the woman back, who remained in the air, dusting her shirt as Lapis got his bearings.

"That lady's exceptionally strong…" PaoPao muttered, "Too strong, not even my most talented operative, Suchiro Taiga, displays movements like hers without relying on the talisman."

"She's not the only one who's like this." Jazz added. "All those weird, 'agent fellas' are the exact same." The two of them stared at each other meaningfully.

"I don't know what you guys are talking about," Lazuli began, worry evident on her face, "but doesn't this mean we should tell Lapis to surrender before he gets too hurt?"

"If you say that again I'll break your neck," Piccolo shouted loudly at Lazuli. "Your brother is putting his all into this fight, don't you dare dishonor him like this."

Lazuli's face reddened, "what dishonor?! In knowing your limits? In living to fight another day?!" She flew towards Piccolo and jammed a finger towards him, "I don't know what you think or feel about my brother, but don't you EVER try to tell me how I should feel or act regarding his safety and life. This 'honor' you're so hooked on can be regained at any time, but his life is forever!"

The Namekian narrowed his eyes at the girl, hands at his side twitching. Before he could retort, Lapis shouted. "Hey! Don't throw me out just yet!" He smirked, and pulled off his armbands, revealing a watch.

"Hey… that's…" Jazz turned to look over at Bulma.

"He asked for one, I only have it at the lowest setting of 1.15 times the earth's gravity, he can't adjust it any higher." Bulma shrugged, "he was real desperate to have it, I'm surprised he was using it this entire time." Just as she was saying that Lapis took off the watch and threw it into the grass. "Hey! That thing is worth millions of Zenni, y'know!"

Lapis cracked his neck, a dangerous gleam entering his eyes. "You're probably a product of the Red Ribbon Army, don't answer, I don't need to know." He frowned, "However, what you, and your boss or creator or whatever the fuck is about to find out you don't fuck with Lapis." He leaped forward with newfound power, catching Mrs. Morada by surprise. The woman lashed out, fist flying, only to whiff in the air as Lapis flipped over her, taking advantage of his 3-dimensional means of movement in the skies.

"Why... you little!" Mrs. Morada's body contorted in a weird shape, and she blinked in surprise. She didn't even realize Lapis had kicked her. "How are you this much stronger?!"

Lapis shrugged, "maybe you're just not all that." Before she could retaliate, he grabbed her by the leg and rocketed down to the grass, slamming her into it with a thunderous impact, causing the earth to shake slightly. Flying back into the arena, Lapis put up a thumbs up. "See?" He began, exhaustion reflected in his voice, "I told you I can t-" Lapis felt pain as if a wave of force pushed him aside, at the same time, a beam of energy struck through his shoulder, causing him to scream in pain.

Mrs. Morada, whose eyes gleamed red, smirked. She got up to charge the boy, only to be knocked to the ground by Jazz. Jazz placed his foot on Morada's neck and held his hand forward, blocking the woman's eyebeam as he leaned in close. "I'll kill you." He began, voice flat, "I can't do it now when there are so many witnesses, but I'll kill you. But first, I'll deconstruct you, I'll use my magic to see exactly how you tick, whether you're just some weird human, or a creation of Dr. Gero's, but I will kill you." Tendrils of ki leaped from Jazz's body, invisible to the naked eye, and stabbed into Mrs. Morada, who tensed in pain but found herself unable to scream as Jazz continued to block her throat. "You think you can just harm my family, and get away with it?" His eyes, blue from the use of his psychic powers, seemed as cold as ice.

"CONTESTANT JAZZ! MOVE AWAY FROM CONTESTANT MORADA! SHE HAS BEEN DISQUALIFIED, IF YOU DO ANY HARM TO HER YOU WILL FACE PENALTY!" The announcer shouted in a panic. He didn't like the way Jazz was staring at the woman, and while he didn't hear what the young man was saying, he could imagine, knowing the relationship Jazz had with the boy she just snuck attack.

Jazz released his hold on Mrs. Morada, who chuckled in between gaps of breath. "You're so held by the rules of a silly tournament you won't avenge your kid?"

Jazz did not look back as he headed over to Lapis and Lazuli.

Lazuli was already on Lapis, checking on her brother, who was breathing heavily.

"Bro!" She shouted, tears brimming.

"I… I'm okay…" Lapis winced. "I won, after all, she just decided she couldn't handle my victory."

"Okay?! My ass!" Lazuli smacked her twin on his forehead. "You could have died had she aimed for your chest!"

Lapis remained quiet, he hadn't dodged her attack, it felt like someone or something pushed him just before the attack landed. Jazz floated over, his face full of conflict as he began to heal Lapis.

Unbeknownst to the three, Piccolo's hand twitched in irritation. 'What a foolish display' He thought, 'You must always keep an eye on the enemy…'. He glanced at his hand, before Lazuli, before Lapis, before even Jazz or Goku, he had seen the strange human woman's eyes gleam. He knew from her expression what was going through her mind. The flashes of memories he inherited from his father told him what it was. Humiliation, fear, hatred, the eyes of a minion knowing that their master would end their lives for their indiscretions. He grits his teeth, the next time he'd train that boy, he'd instill that lesson in him.

Up on the Lookout, Kami witnessed the entire fight, only breathing out as he saw Jasper heal the young boy, Lapis.

"Are you alright, Kami?" Mr. Popo asked concern in his voice. Due to the actions of the Elder Guru of Namek, Kami was much stronger and healthier than before. This meant that his life's end would be met in the centuries, instead of the decades as Mr. Popo had been dreading. Now, the biggest hurdle facing Kami was the existence of the demon king and his own guilt in the demon king's creation.

"I am alright, Mr. Popo, I am simply surprised. Whether Piccolo understood it or not, he moved to defend someone. While all he did was extend just a bit of his power, he moved to defend someone. It would be unthinkable before when he was just pure evil."

"Are you saying he is no longer pure evil?" Popo asked in wonder. "I must admit I've never paid attention to him, while he has not perpetrated any evils during his 3 years of life, I assumed he was simply biding his time. By the time we found him, he had already surpassed you in power, Kami, and that boy Jasper saw fit to train with him instead of end or capture him."

"I'm certain he doesn't know it himself, but he's begun to have consideration for that boy, Lapis. While he does not care enough to end his life for this child, I can see that he is slowly being influenced by the good in people." Kami's face twisted in guilt. "Perhaps I had been too hasty in expelling my evil. I was so absorbed by the evils of humanity that I chose to ignore the good it contained. And for that, I made the world pay dearly."

"Kami, mistakes are like wounds, the scars that are slow to fade are regrets, we cannot get rid of all the misgivings, but we can learn to first forgive ourselves and ensure these mistakes do not happen again. You are my wise friend, and you have governed this world with love and compassion. I believe that for all the woe the demon king brought to the planet, double more was good brought forth due to your being our Kami."

"Thank you, friend." Kami smiled, "and I suppose I have Jazz to thank as well, his insight and experience, and perhaps a glimpse into a potential future, saw a Piccolo I could never fathom."

"That just makes Goku even more frightening then." Popo announced proudly, "Without any knowledge of the future, and through his simple nature, he understood that the Piccolo who stood before him a year ago was different from the Demon King he and his friends faced in the past."

"Yes, that young man is quite the miracle."

Hercule vs. Ma Junior

"Oh? Wow… Mr. Satan vs. the Demon King's son, that's kind of funny." Chiaotzu said, "Don't die out there."

"Yeah, I'd hate to be you right now, Hercule." Krillin added, "Break a leg! Or well, don't."

"H-Hey!" Mark growled at the pair of bald knuckleheads, who grinned back cheekily, "Don't go writing me off just yet, I probably have something up my sleeves… I think…" He gulped nervously as he turned to look at Piccolo Jr. who did not glance his way even once as they made their way unto the tile arena.

"Hey! Good luck with your fight!" Yamcha called out to Hercule as the former leaped unto his designated arena.

"Gosh… thanks," Hercule muttered, not taking his eyes off of Piccolo.

Piccolo, for his part, observed Hercule with a neutral expression. The Namekian observed Hercule's nervous expression, loose stance, and semi-shakey fists, and snorted. "Is this truly the best humans have to offer?"

"What?" Hercule asked in curiosity.

"I mean, is this truly what humanity is made of? I've heard a lot about you from people, you're the fan favorite, after all, a famous mixed martial artist, turned underground fighter, turned worldwide sensation, instrumental in the death of the previous Demon King Piccolo, after all. I know you are a close friend and associate to Jazz, and even those two brats consider you someone worthy of their respect, but… is that it? Is this the extent of your power? You're barely even half as strong as I am right now, and you can tell." The Namekian was about to continue, grinning as he bared his fangs, "so why d-"

"Shut up!" Hercule shouted loudly, causing Piccolo to frown, "Don't go yapping your mouth when the fight hasn't even started! If you go around underestimating humanity, you'll find yourself on the wrong side of life!" His muscles began to bulge and his veins became pronounced as he activated the pump up technique, his power doubling and slightly exceeding Piccolo's.

"Every time I look at that man, I do wonder." Roshi begins, "he's such an awkward bundle of nerves, but here he is, boasting such an impressive level of raw power, I wonder what Jazz put him through to reach this level, and what that young man went through as well, that's he's able to so thoroughly suppress his actual power it fools even me."

Hercule charged forward, and the tiles, despite their ability to withstand the force of several tons of TNT, cracked under the force of his rush. He launched a flying kick towards Piccolo, who dodged with ease, only to be caught by a reverse scissor kick.

"Dynamic fakeout!"

"That's our master!" Caroni shouted in joy, he, Ms. Pizza, and Pirozhki were holding "Mr. Satan" signs and chanted his name alongside the crowd. Many members of the crowd were members of the Satan Dojo or purchasers of his workout CDs and cassettes. While his CDs didn't reveal the dangerous techniques, they included many relatively easy exercises and movements researched by PaoPao and Master Roshi that would lead to better blood circulation, heart health, and a whole host of other conditions that generally made life more annoying, if not painful. That, mixed with his bombastic personality and kind demeanor towards his fans, magnetic charisma, and macho image and stature made him quite a famous person. Adding on to that, he touched the hearts of millions when he announced he would take a backseat from the public image and focus on doting on his pregnant wife, and also beloved former music star, Miguel.

Hercule for his part was well aware of his fame, which was why he took this fight seriously from the start. It was, however, also why he announced his moves like a braggart.

Piccolo, who had blocked the kick with both arms, glared at Hercule. "How dare you, are you taking this seriously? 'Dynamic fake out?' Is it a fake-out if you're announcing the moves?"

Hercule blew a raspberry. "It is since you didn't notice the ki blast I launched out a bit earlier."

Piccolo turned in shock, grunting as a ball of ki smashed into his back. He had been distracted by Hercule's pomp bravado and mix of brashness and cowardice and didn't even notice when the human had utilized his ki. Fury took hold of the namekian, who unleashed part of his power, overwhelming the human and causing a shock of wind to blow back to the crowd. To Hercule's credit, he maintained his stance even as the monster was twice as strong as he threatened to break him apart with nearly his aura.

"Dynamic transformation!" Hercule pulled out a series of acrobatic moves and flips. As he moved, the crowd noticed articles of clothing flying off Hercule. His main training gi, his armbands, and his leg bands and combat boots all struck the earth behind him with heavy thuds, causing some dust to settle.

"Whoo boy…" Krillin muttered in irritation. "This guy…"

Roshi shook his head. "He's either a true genius or just so stupid it worked."

Almost every Z fighter in this tournament had some sort of weight on their body, whether it was just arm and leg bands, a weighted tunic, or in Yamcha's and PaoPao's case a full body resistance suit mixed with weights, but none had any weights nearly as excessive as Hercule's.

"He's shy of 500 kilos, isn't he?" Krillin said (about 1102 pounds for my American gents). "He must have truly hard focused on building his body first."

"It's because he could only build his body first," Tien said suddenly. "Unlike most of us, Hercule was a late teen, much like Jazz, when he first learned how to fight and how to use ki, his gains in strength would be less drastic than ours unless insane measures were met, I have witnessed the results of such gruesome training, the supposed experimental pupils of Master Shen often did not live but weeks longer. But Hercule seems, completely healthy." He frowned as he looked at Jazz, the only one who knew the secret to Hercule's dramatic transformation within that time chamber. "What the hell did they do?"

"Even with that impressive leap in power, you're not stronger than I am, and I'm not even going all out," Piccolo growled in irritation. He charged forward, starting with a powerful uppercut.

Hercule dodged by a hair's breadth, countering with a backflip kick and launching out tiny ki blasts from his fingertips. The blasts peppered Piccolo's forearm, causing a cloud of dust from their tiny explosions.

"I can sense energy!" Piccolo shouted, "That's not going to do anything!" He felt Hercule rush his back, and spun, kicking the dust away, only to connect with air, just as Hercule tackled him from the back.

"Dynamic fake out!" Hercule shouted, fingers in a 'V for victory' sign. He began to laugh uproariously, only to scream as before he could react, a massive stretched-out arm grabbed him from the back, lifted him into the air, and hurtled him down towards the grass.

Piccolo stared at the unconscious human as the announcer began his countdown, the previous rage and irritation on his face melted away as if a lie, which it was. "That smile of yours didn't reach your eyes." Piccolo said, "If you want to fool your opponent you must fool your body. But, if you're one of the best humanity has to offer. I certainly have my work cut out, don't I?" He allowed a small smile to slip his face as he turned to walk back to the fighter's den, his cape billowing in the win.

Numbers time, Hercule, the largest leap in power before and after the time chamber, has gone through some serious shit. Courtesy of Jazz of course, unlike Jazz, Mark is talented, else his daughter Videl wouldn't have been nearly as tough as she was with literally only a few days of ki control training. But just cause Mark is talented doesn't mean Jazz is a slouch, be excited for just how strong Jazz will be upon this tournament's zenith. But before I completely go off-topic, Hercule's power level could be measured around 45,000, putting him low Ginyu Force tier, using Pump Up, which he only knows the basics of, puts him at 90,000. Most of the other high tier Z fighters, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, are stronger than that, because they have better versions of the pump up technique and other abilities to rely on, mixed with their different motivations and talents. Hercule's been lugging on some ridiculous weights, about a total of 500 kilos as you saw. In the actual tournament, and in the fight against Raditz, Goku carried around 140 kilos, or a smidge over 300 pounds, on his person during his fight against Piccolo and Raditz. I believe the effects of weighted clothing definitely diminish the stronger you get, which is why when Goku fought Freeza, and when he was training in the gravity machine to Namek, he didn't have weighted clothing, just his normal clothes. However, I state that Hercule's weighted clothing definitely gave him a slight boost, maybe about 20% vs Goku's 30% when his power level was drastically lower. That puts Hercule at 54,000 and 108,000 using pump up respectively. This is power Goku would have achieved in around 6 years' time in the original timeline, after having to deal with Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta, and would have gotten both King Kai's divine training and several months with the gravity machine, going up to 100 times gravity.

If you think Hercule is tough, think of what Jazz can do now as they had been training together.
