Authors note:

Hello everyone, this is my first time writing a fic like this so feedback is appreciated, Happy reading!.

Harry surveyed the Order members as gasps rippled through the room, but his gaze lingered on James and Lily. Their expressions were a mixture of shock and sorrow, what made Harry avert his eyes to the floor, was seeing tears roll down Lily's cheek, as she gripped James arm for support from the news.

Clearing his throat, Dumbledore redirected everyone's attention. His voice was soft, almost tender, but Harry was not a child and he huffed in annoyance at being treated like one, aware of the curious glances around him.

"Welcome, Harry I can assure you that we are all curious about you as you are of us, so I encourage you to ask questions as long as you provide us answers of your world" Dumbledore said.

Harry considered for a moment, then decided to provide some basic information. Standing up, he spoke loud enough for everyone to hear.

"My name is Harry Potter, as you already know, born on the 31st of July, and just turned 18 today. That's about it," Harry said, aware that his introduction was lacking. However, he was not one to share personal details, especially with strangers.

Flaming red hair caught Harry's attention when the person Molly Weasley spoke up from her seat. "18? You're still so young. The spell was supposed to bring a hero who has defeated a dark lord, not a child."

Harry felt a twinge of offense at being called a child. He had to mature quickly to protect others and survive the war. He understood that Molly didn't know him like the Molly in his universe, who practically adopted him when he was younger.

Deciding to add a bit more, Harry continued, "Well, I was top of my class for Defense Against the Dark Arts, so I think I know a few hexes to defend myself." His voice dripped with sarcasm. He heard a snort and turned to see Sirius with his hand on James's shoulder.

Noticing James's intense stare, Harry then saw another pair of emerald green eyes staring back at him, eyes he only saw in his reflection.

Kingsley then stood up, challenging Harry. "Do you expect us to believe that you defeated a dark lord just by being top of your class?" Other Order members joined in, expressing their doubts about Harry.

Frustrated with the disbelief and the chaos of everyone talking at once, Harry realized there was no way they would believe him without hearing the crucial details.

Amidst the chaos, a familiar voice cut through the noise. Harry turned to see Remus standing, trying to restore order to the room.

Harry's lips twitched slightly at Remus, but his expression soured when Moody's booming voice yelled, "Shut up, all of you!"

Silence enveloped the room, and Harry was impressed. He knew better than to be on Moody's bad side.

Moody's gaze pierced Harry as he spoke directly to him, "Boy, you have a lot of explaining to do. Get straight to the point. No jokes or you're just wasting our time because when really you're a weak child that isn't worth our time and-"

Anger surged within Harry. Who was Moody to say such things about him? He didn't mean to lose control, but a part of Harry's aura flooded the room as he spoke in a hard, venomous voice, "I don't owe you anything, but I would think twice before you run that stupid mouth of yours."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Harry noticed the Order members' fear, likely because of the magic surrounding them. He quickly regained control of his emotions and strode towards the large oak doors.

Pulling on the handle, he found the door wouldn't budge. He tried a wordless Alohomora, but it remained shut. Turning back, Dumbledore's voice once again filled the room, "Harry, please understand that we can't let you roam freely. Kindly take a seat."

"No, I don't think I will. Would you be so kind as to open the door?" Harry retorted, refusing to comply.

The room fell silent, everyone now paying full attention as Harry defied one of the most powerful wizards. Dumbledore's expression barely changed, but there was a hint of frustration in his voice as he replied, "Harry, take a seat, or we will have to use force."

Harry's eyes hardened at the threat. He drew his wand and pointed it at the door, then blew it up. A few screams echoed across the room as Harry walked through the gaping hole he had created. Before leaving, he turned back and said, "Fuck you, and never threaten me again," sticking up his middle finger then leaving.

The Order members stood there in shock as they watched Harry leave. Sirius was the first to speak, "That kid has some balls."

Lily smacked Sirius on the shoulder, and he dramatically cried out in pain. She then rolled her eyes, thinking about the information they had just been told. This was her son standing there alive, not technically her son, but that wasn't going to stop her from mothering him.

James who was also thinking about Harry was pulled out of his thoughts by Remus, who started talking to the Order members, but mostly to Dumbledore, who stood there in shock.

"I think some of us should go find Harry before he wanders off too far," Remus suggested, receiving nods of agreement. Dumbledore regained his composure. "Yes, that's a good point. Remus, James, and Sirius, you go. The rest of us will stay here and wait."

Remus, James, and Sirius nodded in agreement as they walked through the blown-up door, setting out to find Harry.

Harry made his way into Hogsmeade, strolling down the street and smiling as he noticed the twins joke shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.

Entering the Hog's Head, he approached the young lady cleaning glasses behind the counter. When she noticed him, she gave him a curious look before speaking up.

"I've never seen you around before," she remarked.

"Just came from Ireland," Harry responded.

She hummed in approval and took his order for three shots of firewhiskey. As she poured the drinks, she continued chatting with Harry.

"You know, you look a lot like James Potter. Are you related to him?" she asked, she then added, I also didn't pick up an Irish accent?

"Well, I used to live in England as a child, and I travel a lot. Ireland was where I was just staying for some time because of the war. And yes, I do know of James Potter, but I don't know if we're related," Harry replied, proud of his quick thinking.

The lady seemed satisfied with Harry's answer. Before she could say anything more, a customer called her over. As she left, Harry picked up the small shot glass in front of him and downed the drink, enjoying the slight burn in his throat.

Just as he was about to finish his last drink, he heard his name. Looking around the bar, he saw the three Marauders.

Sirius sensed someone was looking at him and turned around, finding Harry. Sirius cracked a smile and announced to his friends that he had found Harry. They started making their way towards him.

Seeing them getting closer, Harry quickly finished his drink, threw some knuts on the table, and fled out the door. As soon as he made it outside, James and Sirius tumbled out after him, with Remus following quickly behind.

"Harry," Sirius called out, but when Harry didn't turn around, Sirius put an arm on his shoulder, freezing Harry in place. They formed a circle around him, ready in case he tried to escape again.

Harry stood there, feeling caged in by them. "Aw shucks, looks like the babysitters found me," he remarked, trying to lighten the mood.

Sirius lips twitched up at Harry's comment but Remus hard stare at him shut his smile down. Remus then spoke calmly, "We should head back to Hogwarts before it gets dark."

James then spoke up for the first time, his voice carrying a sense of warmth and authority. "Yeah, the rest of the Order is waiting. We should head back to Hogwarts soon."

Harry felt a jolt of unexpected emotion at hearing his dad—no, James—speak, James's voice. His voice was so comforting, It was a reminder of what could have been, of the family he never had.

Before he could gather his thoughts and protest, James placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, steering him gently down the path. Harry was surprised by the gesture but found himself not wanting to pull away. There was a sense of longing, a desire for the comfort and security that touch offered.

As they walked behind Remus and Sirius, Harry couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to James. Despite being from a different universe James was still his dad, in a way. The touch on his shoulder felt like a bridge between two worlds, a fleeting moment of closeness.

The night sky stretched out above them, a canopy of stars twinkling overhead. As Harry's mind was a whirlwind of emotions,

But his thoughts were broken when he heard James quietly speaking to him, "You know, that was quite the show you put on at the Great Hall," James said, grinning.

Harry smiled, feeling happy that James was impressed with him. "Well, Dumbledore and Moody need someone to pull that stick out of their ass," Harry replied.

James started laughing, catching the attention of Remus and Sirius. They slowed down their stride to fall into step with Harry and James.

Remus spoke up first, "My name's Remus Lupin, and that's Sirius Black, if you didn't already know."

Harry smiled at them and then started speaking, "Yeah, I know who you guys are. In my world, Sirius was my godfather, and Remus is my uncle."

James caught on to the past tense Harry used for Sirius, so he questioned Harry about it, "What do you mean Sirius was your godfather?" Harry contemplated telling them, but with one glance at James, he could see in his eyes that Harry could trust him.

Harry then spoke out with his gaze at the floor, "Sirius was murdered in my fifth year." Harry glanced up towards Sirius to see his face had become significantly paler . "Who?" Sirius asked in a small voice. Harry responded, "Your cousin, Bellatrix Black."

Harry then kept on speaking, "But it was my fault. I should have kept going with my Occlumency lessons. I could have prevented it from happening, or I should have defended you in the duel, helped you fight against her."

Harry's voice cracked at the end as he gripped his arm. He had been so weak to let that happen. His thoughts were interrupted by Remus's soft voice, "Harry, we don't know the full story of what happened, but from what it sounded like, it wasn't your fault. You were young; you shouldn't blame yourself." Harry's breathing came out shakily as his mind was thinking of all the possible ways he could have prevented Sirius from dying.

Harry then felt arms wrap around him; his dad was hugging him. Harry relaxed immediately, embracing the hug with his father as his breaths evened out. James then spoke.

"As Remus said, we don't know the full story, but you shouldn't blame yourself for his death. You were young, and you weren't the one who killed him. You can't change what happened, but you can learn to accept it over time. Just think about the good memories and live in the present, not dwell on the past."

Harry didn't want to let go of James embrace, but Remus and Sirius were waiting. Slowly, Harry detached his arms as James loosened his grip, but James kept his arm on Harry, not ready to let go fully.

Sirius had gained some color back, and Remus nudged him back to reality. They started slowly walking back, Hogwarts in the distance.

Sirius then asked Harry a question, "So, are James and Lily your parents in your world too?" Harry put a fake smile on as he responded, "Yep," hoping they didn't hear the shakiness in his voice.

James didn't notice, as he had just let out a breath of relief. For the time being, he could get to know Harry since was ripped away from that chance before.

They soon reached the Hogwarts entrance doors. Sirius joked if Harry was going to blow up these too.

Harry grinned at Sirius as they walked through the familiar hallway, but as soon as the rest of the Order members came into view, he let out a shaky breath, wondering what the other members thought of him.

They made it inside the Great Hall; all heads turned towards them. Harry couldn't move until James quietly said to Sirius and Remus to sit near Harry. They nodded in agreement, and James gave Harry a little nudge in the direction of where Harry was sitting before.

They all then sat down, James and Sirius beside Harry like a protective sandwich, with Remus next to Sirius, closest to Dumbledore.

Lily gave James a curious look as to why he was sitting there and not over here. James just looked down at Harry, then back at Lily, hoping she knew what he meant.

Lily was about to go up and walk over to sit with James when Dumbledore rose out of his seat, so she sat back down in a huff.

"Welcome back, dear boy," Dumbledore said, and Harry cringed at being named 'boy' again; it brought back memories of the Dursleys. When Dumbledore didn't hear a reply, he kept going.

"Well, the rest of the Order members agree that it would be best to show your memories in a Pensieve so it would be easier to show them. And we will know it will be the truth."

Harry thought for a moment; he could argue again, but that would get him nowhere since they would trust him even less than they did now. But that also was his private life, and these were practically strangers.

James leaned close to Harry and whispered in his ear, "You don't have to if you don't want to. The Order members and Dumbledore just want to know who you are."

Harry weighed his options once more than huffed out before he spoke up, "I guess it will be fine." "Excellent," Dumbledore said, and he then started walking out of the Great Hall, signaling for the rest to follow.

Lily caught up with James, who was accompanied by Harry on his side. She smiled normally at Harry and introduced herself. "Hello, I'm Lily Potter." Harry smiled at Lily, he then started to make some small talk with her about her life here.

Harry found that Lily had a soothing voice. Harry didn't know if he would be able to get over the fact that he was standing here with a version of his parents.

The group came to a stop as people one by one went up the stairs to Dumbledore's office. Once everyone was inside, they all gathered around the extended Pensieve.

Dumbledore then gave Harry instructions to show them his first year at Hogwarts, only the important parts. Harry raised his wand to his head, extracting the information he thought was important.

He let the thick white line travel into the Pensieve below. After some time, he was finished. Dumbledore clapped his hands together and instructed everyone to dive in.

James gave one last glance at Harry to see that he was hesitating. James then spoke out to Harry, "You can pull out at any time when you don't want to be there." Harry smiled at James, then dove in.

Once everyone was in, Dumbledore was the last one to go in, ready to see if this Harry Potter could help them defeat the Dark Lord.
